Help setting validation based on route selected

If the LC form only has one submit button, how do you set a validation on submit based on the route selected when running forms in workspace?
For example, if users have the option to Approve or Reject a form, can you determine which route they have selected and validate fields accordingly? So that if "reject" is selected we can validate that the reject comment field was completed, and if "approve" is selected we can validate that the form was signed? Is there some property of the submit button or process field that makes this distiction?

You can use a JavaScript if-else statement on the preSubmit event of the button. Do a check to see which of the fields are populated, then perform the required action.
You could even hide the buttons, then if the user fills in a comment in the reject field, you simply show the reject button and keep the approve button hidden. You could have a pop-up when the form opens informing the user of the document's steps / process.

I also have a datepicker column (date only).
I would like to set a validation based on below condition:

Can this be achieved OOB or a JSLink is required.

There is a PreSaveAction() function that you can use to do a custom validation. Before submitting any item, sharepoint first do the validation in PreSaveAction().

Need help setting up second actiontec router

Need step by step instructions to add a second actiontec router over coax to increase by wifi range to a different part of the house. I have verizon fios 73/35. I recently upgraded by router to the Actiontec rev I and I would like to use the left over router (also an Actiontech router) in a area with poor wifi coverage. My main router is an Actiontect rev I that I have my computer hooked up to. What is the procedure to make this work. I hear I have to make it a MoCa connection and use it as an access point. I'm moderately challenged when it comes to understanding all this computer jargon and need some help in basic laymens terms. (I do learn easily though and willing to get technical). THanks

Need help setting up my d-link wireless router to my imac

I need some help trying to set up my D-Link WBR 2310 wireless router to my iMac. I currently have Bell Sympatico high speed.
The reason I want to set up the wireless router is because my girlfriend works from home sometimes with her office computer downstairs and needs a wireless connection (she has a PC). I tried to call D-Link, but they're useless.
Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. It would be great to know what settings to change and as much step by step info as possible. I realize it's probably pretty simple to set up, but I'm fairly new to Macs and also to wireless.

Connect the D-Link to the iMac by Ethernet.
Open Safari (or Firefox)
Navigate to http://192.168.1.1
Enter your password (default user is Admin and password "admin" - change it!)
Find the Wireless Security section and change the SSID to your own name i.e. "home network" .
Set the Encryption setting to "WPA" and enter a password of your choice. This is the encryption key and is different to the router's admin password.
Configure the WAN part of the router (which will vary depending on your ISP).
Configure the DHCP to serve clients (should be a simple on/off).
Disconnect the iMac
Go to the iMac and turn on Airport on (on the menu bar).
When the iMac finds your SSID select it and enter the encryption password.
Check to allow Keychain to store that detail.

Hoping someone can help me with something I am working on. i am fairly new to creating forms in acrobat (know how to us the full range of very basic features) but I have now found myself needing some help.
i am producing an order form, and I need to create a filtered dropdown list based on the value selected in another field.
basically, when a user select the company chooses their Business Name from a dropdown list, I would like their deliver address to self populate. In some cases there may be a few options for the company delivery address so in these cases the second option would be a dropdown list of the options available for that company.
i have attached a screenshot, it is the Fields "Business Name" and "delivery Address/Delivery Postcode" that i would like to be linked so that the option in Business Name filtered the options in delivery Address

This will require a complex, custom-made script. The basic functionality of populating another field based on a selection in a drop-down is not that complicated, but if you want it to also populate other drop-downs (and then presumably use them to populate other fields), it will require a more complex solutions.

Hi,
I think the way out is use the dynamic select option while setting up the varinat and use sy-datum to sy-datum+9 which should essentially serve the purpose.
While saving the variant, for that particular date field check the Selection variable checkbox, then Choose D
option and then choose current days + or - option from there.

Need help Setting up multiple Static Ip on my fios router
I have been trying to figure out how to set up multiple ip in my fios router.
However I kind of managed how to set up multiple static ip However the way I want it is for each port of my router to have an external ip signed to it. ( like 4 different modem in 1 )
Verizon gave me 5 static ip but they can not help me how to set it up.
Have anyone here done more then one static ip on different ports? I assume that the process will be the after the second static ip.

You want to set up Static Nat. You will not assign the IP to a port, but rather to a local machine. Figure out what machines you want your IP's to go to. Under the firewall section you will see static nat. Pick the machine you want and enter one of the IP's you were assigned.

Dynamic F4 help for workcenter based on plant given in select-option

I am using the FM DYNP_VALUES_READ to get the low and high values in the plant field of selection screen. The problem is i do not know how to fetch the extension values of s_werks. dynpro fields what i am passing is s_werks-low and s_werks-high. But how will i name the extension field of s_werks. Even i have tries giving only s_werks. But FM is giving invalid dynpro field exception . Please help on this.

You need to use FM DYNP_VALUES_READ to read values entered on selection screen and then you need to use FM F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST.

Getting index of a string array based on user selection in a comboBox

I'm not really sure how to phrase my questions, but here goes.
I have created a string array that holds the values of a ComboBox. Based on which selection the user makes in the comboBox, I need the program to then perform particular calcualtions (based on their selection). I have tried using an ItemListener, but that doesn't seem to work. I've also tried using the ActionListener connected to the ComboBox, again...without results. I'm not sure what I'm looking for exactly, but I know what I want it to do, I'm just not finding the right way to do it. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Here is my entire code. I'm completely confused at where to put the ActionListener or how to make it do what I want. Right now I just have it set up to display a simple message in the displayArea, just so that I could see if it was working. I think once I figure out how to get the right index from the ComboBox array, then I'll be able to add the code I need to perform the calcualtions...it's just getting to that step that's not going so well! Help with a new RV082 Router

Greetings all,
I hope this is the correct place to post my request for help.
I just installed a new RV082 Router and I can access the internet without any problems.
We have a security camera at 192.168.1.28 on the LAN side. This works just fine on the LAN side but cannot be accessed from remote machines trying to log into the camera remotely.
The camera can be access on port 2782 without any problems using my Linux based Smoothwall router by going to any web browser such as Firefox or IE8 by keying in: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xx:2782 and the camera’s web interface comes up allowing a user to login by keying in their id and password.
I’ve tried for a few hours now to change firewall setting but I still can’t get this to allow anyone to login remotely.
The Smoothwall router allows me to setup a pass through in the firewall by creating the follow entry:
Protocol                                  TCP
External Source IP                ALL
Source Port                           2782
Destination IP                        192.168.1.28
Destination Port                    2782
This works without any problems.
Can anyone help be configure the RV082 in order to gain access to the camera?
Any help will be appreciated. This is now driving me crazy.

Hi Howard,
To forward the port in the RV082, go to Setup-> Forwarding. Click the Service Management and create a new service for port 2782 (i.e. Service Name IPCam, Protocol TCP, Port Range 2782 to 2782, Add to list, Save Setting) Go back to Forwarding and select the new Service from the drop down list. Enter the IP address of the camera and check the Enable box. Add to list and Save Settings at the bottom of the page. Please let us know if this works or if you need further assistance.

Tablix Data mapping based on parameters selected.

I ahve a report that is for variable based on the parameters selected. Parameter 1 is TableName, it lets the user select the table from the database that they would like to see the clolumns for. From there the second parameter is the Column names from the
table that was selected. I can get the headers to show based on the selection but not the actual data.
I've got this query that i created in SQL that works if input the parameters but i cannot figure out how to tie in the data to the report tablix.

You can not dynamically assign the column to a text box (tablix). The best way is to modify your SQL to return the result with a fix column alias, then you can assign ths column to the Report control =>

Routing selection in Production Order when using ECN in Routing

Hi experts,
I'm having some trouble with routing selection when using ECN in routing creation.
I tested a case where I have 3 routings without ECN, and the Order asked me which one of the 3 I want to use.
Then I created a routing with ECN. The order asked only one routing without ECN and the new routing with ECN.
Do you know if there is any relation about using the ECN in Routings and using at the same time Routings without ECN, when selecting the routing in production order?

All the 4 routings are valid from Oct.2014 to 31.12.9999.
The Order date is from Apr.2015.
I've made another test with 2 routings created with ECN and the order chose one without asking me what to choose. I don't know the criteria used in this functionallity.

Validation based on conditions in another table

Hi All,
I'm trying to do a before update validation based on a condition. Basically, if the value of table1.columnA is changed to Yes only save when there are no rows in table2 columnX = Yes, otherwise online error.
I have tried expressions, boolean, etc. and can't quite get the right combination.
I am looking at something like select Y from dual where count of T2.CX = Yes is >1 otherwise N, and generate error only when Y is returned.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the help. I did get it working, but in a way completely opposite than I was thinking it should work.
FYI -
The validation is expression 1 is contained in expression 2
expression one is the p15_task_closed
expression two is NO
add a condition Exists (Sql returns a row)
then do the select from the other table where it is true!
I guess it says look at the conditions first, if the condition is true check the validation. If the validation is TRUE then no error, if the validation is FALSE (in this case the p15_task_closed = YES) enforce the validation error.

Pre-Populate Dropdown based on information selected in another dropdown

I hope this make since. I am working on building a form using Adobe Livecycle Designer. I have a dropdown list in multiple fields on the same form that will have the same information selected. I want the additional fields to automatically populate the information a user selects in the first dropdown list. Is this possible ??? If so, what would be the script/code necessary to do so ??? Thank you for your help.
Example
City, State appears in 4 different fields based on the selection in field 1, the additional 3 fields auto-populates the same information.
Field/List 1: New York, NY <-- Selected City, State
Field/List 2: New York, NY <-- Auto Populated based on field 1
Field/List 3: New York, NY <-- Auto Populated based on field 1
Field/List 4: New York, NY <-- Auto Populated based on field 1

In the exit event of the first State field, using Javascript, something like this should work:
State2.rawValue = this.rawValue;
State3.rawValue = this.rawValue;
State4.rawValue = this.rawValue;
...where "State2", "State3", etc. are references to the other dropdowns you want to populate with the same information from the first state field.
Be sure to set the binding values in the BINDING tab of the dropdowns to the same in each dropdown,
