Help! Still I haven't got any solution to my problem

Probably, u haven't got my problem.
I want to know how can I get the WEEK_OF_YEAR ofr the DATE 31-12-2001. Using the Code snippet I had posted before, it returns the value of WEEK as 1, but in reality it should be 53. Can you guide me on why am I getting the wrong output as 1. or can you tell me some other way of solving the same problem?
Kindly HELP as soon as possible!

try the one below which will give the year of the week of current day. Actuall the week will a number less becoz it will count from 0.

import java.util.Calendar;
public class WeekOfTheYear
     public static void main(String args[])
          Date newDate = new Date(System.currentTimeMillis());
                    Calendar calendar = Calendar.getInstance();
          calendar.setTime(newDate);
          System.out.println("WEEK OF YEAR "+calendar.get(Calendar.WEEK_OF_YEAR));
