When i export a mpeg movie from quicktime to the ipod settings, and open it in itunes it has no sound. Does anyone know why and what I could do to fix this. Thanks

You can't fix it in QT since QT does not support the export of sound from mpeg-1 or mpeg-2 files. This freeware will allow you to export both sound and video to many video formats. It may not be up to date with a specific pre-set for ipod-type files but you could export to an uncompressed format like Component Video with MpegStreamClip and then make the ipod file in QT Pro.

If you have table/index create commands (DDLs), you can create them in Developper and import data using one of methods below
Extract/ Load table
Insert location method : require IQ servers to be entered in interfaces file
Backup/Restore : copy entire database content
If you have not the DDLs, you can generate them using IQ cockpit or SCC.

URGENT HELP master export setup
Hi,
I tried to search in the forum before I sent this request and I did not find my answer.
I am using Production suite CS4, Windows 7. I am trying to figure out whatr is the best export setups (codec) to send to the post captioned place who works with Final cut pro. It is a 45 min documentayy shot on hxp170 that will be broadcasted on APTN channel (standard and HD). I shot 720p 24 fps (native) My files are 1.33 pixel ratio.
I want the best quality possible regardless of the size of the file.
Can Avid DNxHD codec work? (I googled and did not find a proper answer)
Also a problem: I tried to export an MXF version and an uncompressed AVI. I used Sapphire plug ins (cartoon, film scratch, glow etc) and with some export setup, it make some clips slide up or left of the screen!!! Anyone had that before?
Also: should I export 24 fps or 23.976?

In reference to your first question, it might be worth asking them what they WANT. They may have a preferred pre-broadcast format, and if you can supply that, it may save your material from being transcoded (again).

Help with exporting to WHCC using Lightroom

Please help! My brother (professional photographer) is on a 6 month kayak trip and I've been left in charge of 20 years of photography! I have detailed instructions on how to export photographs from the external hard drives, to an online company who will print them. However, I cannot seem to get the export to work after hours of trying!
In Lightshop, I can pull up the photo that I want to export. I was instructed to click EXPORT, and then click WHCC...however, I can't find anywhere to click WHCC. When I use the help function in Lightshop, it directs me to the file menu, where I can click Export to WHCC...however, when I try to do that, it tells me that I've missed an export function and that the file doesn't exist.
I think I'm just missing the place to select WHCC...can anyone please help? I've got to order some photos online (I believe my brother has me set up to use a company called ROES, but not positive).

Are you certain your brother didn't mean you should export the files to a *folder* named WHCC and then upload the contents of that folder to WHCC using their ROES interface?
WHCC does full color management so you will need to know if your brother wants the images to be exported as ProPhotoRGB, AdobeRGB or sRGB. When WHCC generates the print they always use (that last time I asked them) Perceptual rendering intent.
Other questions are:
(1) what size prints?
(2) are *you* to resize the images and perform sharpening or is WHCC to do that?
I'd suggest you call them on Monday if you have questions. They may have a record of previous jobs submitted by your brother.

HELP TO EXPORT ANIMATED GIF AS QUICKTIME FILE

I have keynote 6.2 and have imported an animated gif file within my page presentation which also has a movie file and sound. When I export the file as a quicktime file, the final file does not show the animation at all, it is static?
I have tried different options when exporting as a mov and 4p4 file, neither makes any difference, can someone help please.
I am using the file to import into Imovie, where I am piecing everything together into a movie11.

Thanks for your prompt reply Gary, but the problem is how can I resolve this? Do I import another file type? Can I export to another format other than Quicktime. Someone mentioned changing the frame rate of the animation to either 25 or 30 frames a second, or does this not make a difference?

Help with exporting Minecraft video

Hello. My name is Reynir Aron. I make Minecraft videos and I recently switched from Final Cut Pro 7 to Premiere Pro CS6 and I love using Premiere.
However there is one little problem, when I export the video (even if I do it through Media Encoder) the video looks very smoothed out (for example the text looks really crappy and isn't pixellated).
Can anybody help me? The video is not being scaled up, the source video, my sequence and the export settings are all 1280x720.
By the way, is there any plugin or anything that lets me export using QuickTime Pro 7?

I have an iMac8,1 (Early 2008) with a 2,8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, an ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB and I'm running OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

I think my daughter is using FRAPS, but of course not transcoding, just putting that right into Premiere. If your captured file is 30fps, what is the transcoded ProRes file? I don't know if ProRes supports non-video settings, so maybe that is converted to 29.97? But then the edit sequence is 30fps, and I do see an issue - FIELDS is set to LOWER, but should be PROGRESSIVE. That could be causing the jaggies issue on your output.
How did you create the editing Sequence? Try creating a NEW SEQUENCE with the same settings, except make it Progressive, then copy/paste contents of interlaced sequence into the progressive sequence and then Export again, see if that helps. Or just do a short sample to check, to save time.

Help with Exporting to Youtube

I'm a high school math teacher, and I began using PCP2 in January to screencast my lessons. As I prepare for next year, I want to begin exporting automatically to YouTube.
Marcel Borsten graciously wrote a script (posted at http://podcastproducer.org/article.php/20091223131435797) designed to do just that, but I'm having trouble getting it to work. I'm wondering if anyone on the list has successfully deployed and used a youtube workflow as described in Borsten's article. After following the instructions to the best of my (limited) ability, I get this:

Following Borsten's instructions, I created a specific Youtube.pwf workflow and then linked to it in another workflow (call it Original.pwf). The Original.pwf Xgrid Job runs and finishes successfully, creating all the expected outputs, but the Youtube.pwf workflow fails at some point.
I've double and triple checked all of my steps, and cannot resolve the issue. Does anyone have any advice? I would be happy to provide additional information if anyone believes they can help me troubleshoot.

Help with exporting forms based data to Excel 2007

I have a user who is attempting to export forms based data to Microsoft Excel 2007 and when he attempts this he receives a message stating that Windows does not recognise this file type (tsv). I am not too familiar with Office 2007 so I am unable to direct this users as to how to correct this issue.
Is someone able to give me the navigation path to help me to assist this user? thanks

Did you verify the file type from Windows Explorer?
1) Right click on My Computer > Explore
2) Go to Tools > Folder Options
3) Click on File Types tab
4) Check if TSV file is defined there or not. If it is not there, click on New and add the File Extension

I only recently started to use FW and I am stuck and can't
find an answer. First whenever I go to print a item through FW it
is always to big for the paper. I know I can shrink it but wouldn't
that look different. Second I export it as a jpeg and import it
into word 03, fit it to the size of the page, but when I print it
it comes out blurry and hardly readable. does anyone know why it
does that and how to fix it? Please help.

I guess your problem is too small resolution. Create youre
image at
resolution like 200 ppi. As long as I remember Word 2003
correctly reads
PNG resolution, so after creating and saving the image you
may try simply
importing the image saved in FW into Word.

Help with exporting tracks from Garageband into iTunes please?!

I have voice-recorded a list of Italian words and phrases which I want to import into iTunes as separate tracks so that I can shuffle them & test myself to learn them. So far I have been using the cycle region to import each word but it is taking forever! I beieve it is not possible to have multpile cycle regions and have been playing about with the markers using the podcast track but I can't get it to export in chapters either.
Is there a way to split a single track in Garageband and import it as mulitple tracks into iTunes all at the same time?

Help with exporting and image size or boundaries?

I am trying to slide the cat into the scene a little at a time foir an animation project I am working on. However, when I export the image the back ground of the image expands with a checkered back ground( showing here in white) and shows the whole cat.
How do I just show a little of the cat on the image at a time when exporting. I am trying to give the impression that the cat is walking into the room. I do not want to have to cut the cat up.

Help with exporting data from pdf form

I have about 100 pdf forms that I created in adobe forms central and distributed as a pdf form (rather than on the web). I am trying to export the data into a spreadsheet but when I export it, the fields are all jumbled in the csv file, as in they are not in the same order. I need to export the data all together so I'm going to the forms menu and selecting "manage form data" and then selecting "merge data files into spreadsheet". I tried exporting a single file but that gave me something really weird.
Please help, I have a deadline next week to analyze this data and can't make sense of it once it is exported to a spreadsheet.

You can share your form by doing the following:
1. Click on the “Share” icon on the bottom left corner.
2. Click on “Add Collaborator” on the popup menu.
3. Enter [email protected] under “People to share with”.

Help With Exporting

Hey I just created a slideshow, with music, from itunes. When i try to export it into iDVD it says there is an error. The music is purchased so if that is an issue it can be fixed with ease. Thanks any help would be great.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. What version of Quicktime are you using? If it isn't 7.1.3 then update to it. That may be the problem. You can open the Console and look at the logs for iPhoto to see if there's an entry that will identify the issue.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Using Indesgin CS3: I am trying to export page by page of an indesign document....there are 16 pages and when I get to page 8, it tells me that it is an invalid page name.....? Any ideas?

You're probably using sections. Is there a little triangle over page 8 in the Pages palette? That means a section starts there. Select the page and go to Numbering and Section Options in the Pages palette menu. Remove the prefix.
You can also export using absolute page numbers if you use a + (plus) in front of the page. If your book's pages are numbered: i, ii, iii, 1, 2, 3 you could export as pages +1 - +6.
