Help/webi - find value corresponding to maximum datetime/seq. in group of values
Hello,
WebI 4.0 Sp6, Data in SQL Server, using *.unx universes
My Data Looks like this.
S.No. Group seq datetime
A123 M 1 01/02/2014 12:00:00 PM
A123 Y 2 01/02/2014 12:50:00 PM
B345 Z 1 01/02/2014 12:50:00 PM
B345 H 2 01/02/2014 12:52:00 PM
B345 K 3 01/02/2014 12:55:00 PM
C678 A 4 01/03/2014 11:00:00 PM
C678 B 8 01/03/2014 11:45:00 PM
I want to get the Group values (lets call it "finalgroup") for each S.No using its corresponding max.seq value OR/and max.datetime
S.No. max.seq *max.datetime *finalgroup
A123 2 01/02/2014 12:50:00 PM Y
B345 3 01/02/2014 12:55:00 PM K
C678 8 01/03/2014 11:45:00 PM B
I need my final report to be displayed like this sectioning by S.No
[Section: S.No]
Sno: |* max Final Group | *max Datetime | max seq
[Section: S.No]
Sno: |* max Final Group | *max Datetime | max seq
So i created sections based on S.No. Then I have tried creating variables but keep getting #multivalue errors when i display the finalgroup value.
max_seq: =Max([seq]) In Block
finalGroup=[Group] Where ([seq]=[max_seq] In Block)
Tried the same with datetime but no luck.
Any help appreciated on how to extract and display this as stated above.
Hi RK,
Try below steps it might help you.
1.Create a variable with rank function.
(=Rank([seq];[group];[s.no]))
2.Drag all the available objects along with RANK variable.
3.Select RANK column in block and apply ranking
4.Now delete the RANK column
Required Output
Try above steps it should work

Help in finding view corresponding to application
hi,
i have an application for web dynpro component and there is a view corresponding to that application.
i am not able to find out that view. where is that view. and which component is it attached to. any help.
i have to make some changes in that view.
web dynpro application is HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_ESS
configuration name is HAP_START_PG_POW_ESS_AC
how can i find the view corresponding to these application adn configuration?>It has POWL in the name, so I'm guessing this is a POWL appliation.
good guess Thomas! But only half right - The actual app is an FPM OIF which has a component that itself embeds a POWL (HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI ). This one POWL and the corresponding MSS one are probably the two most posted POWLs on SCN. I guess there there are a fair few companies out there now implementing the EhP4 version of performance management.
The feeder class used by this is CL_HRHAP00_STARTPG_POWL and the application Id for the POWL is OSA-POWL-ESS (you'll see some if statements that query this value (noticeably not defined as a constant anywhere!)
The MSS view uses the same feeder class - but a different application id.
Like the previous BSP based app, there isn't much in the way of explicit enhancement points for the ESS application. You can enhance the feeder class, but it certainly hasn't been designed to make this easy.
I'd suggest that first you read up on POWL, and think about how you could implement you changes to the view by enhancing the feeder class (or potentially just through administrator configuration/personalisation of the application) try out a few things, and then if you get stuck come back and ask again - explaining what you've tried and what it is you want to achieve.
Cheers,

Sql Query Help to find values?
Hi!
i have a table structure like this...
you can see the image here.
http://postimg.org/image/3k5nvkvn5/
i which i need to find some values.
Example: i need to find all column "District" values where value=46
then in that case you can see in above image that row 1 to 4 has to fetched because these columns contains value between 45-52, also in row 5 where value is 46,47 the also it has to be fetched, here i have to kind of structure to be used in table one
is comma separated and another one is comma and dash separated value, so how can i find these values in table. so how can achieve this using query, Any help would be triplicated.Ah this is not correct way to store data in table
If you store like this you've to do lots of manipulations before values can be used in filter
So as per above you would require something like this
;With Numbers(N)
AS
SELECT 1
UNION ALL
SELECT 1
UNION ALL
SELECT 1
UNION ALL
SELECT 1
UNION ALL
SELECT 1
UNION ALL
SELECT 1

AS
SELECT ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY (SELECT 1))
FROM Numbers n1
CROSS JOIN Numbers n2
CROSS JOIN Numbers n3
CROSS JOIN Numbers n4

Find the corresponding element in 2D Table
Hello everybody,
I have probleme that I can't fix,
In my VI I have a table of two column of 5000 element in each column.
In the column A, I manage to find the min and the max, What I want to do it to find the corresponding value of this minimum in the column B.
For example:
A B
1 5
25 0.87
3 2
4 1
4 98
5 2
0.2 55
9 0.1
The min of A is 0.2 and what I want it to obtain B=55 in this case.

Need help in finding patterns and there counts
Hi All,
I need help in finding patterns as well as number of occurrences of those patterns in a table's column's data.
Consider sample data - one row's column from a table:
"S-S-S-P-S-B-S-S-C-S-P"
My requirement is:
I should get all the patterns that are followed by 'S'.
Example: for the above given data the patterns and counts are
SS - count is 3
SP - count is 2
SB - count is 1
SS - count is 1
There is one more condition for the above requirement:
If 'S' is followed by 'A', then 'SA' should not be considered as a pattern. The pattern should stretch until a non 'A' character is found.
Consider sample data for the above case:
"S-S-A-S-S-A-A-C-S-P-S-A"
for the above given data the patterns and counts are
SS - count is 2
SP - count is 1
SAS - count is 1
SAAC - count is 1
The data column is stored as VARCHAR2 type.
I have Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.6.0 - 64bit Production
Thanks in advance,

Thanks in advance,
Girish GWhenever you have a question, please post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements) and the results you want from that data.
For example, your sample data might be:
CREATE TABLE table_x
( x_id NUMBER PRIMARY KEY
, txt VARCHAR2 (30)
INSERT INTO table_x (x_id, txt) VALUES (1, 'S-S-S-P-S-B-S-S-C-S-P');
INSERT INTO table_x (x_id, txt) VALUES (2, 'S-S-A-S-S-A-A-C-S-P-S-A');and the results you want from that data might be:
X_ID TXT PATTERN CNT
1 S-S-S-P-S-B-S-S-C-S-P SB 1
1 S-S-S-P-S-B-S-S-C-S-P SC 1
1 S-S-S-P-S-B-S-S-C-S-P SP 2
1 S-S-S-P-S-B-S-S-C-S-P SS 3
2 S-S-A-S-S-A-A-C-S-P-S-A SAAC 1
2 S-S-A-S-S-A-A-C-S-P-S-A SAS 1
2 S-S-A-S-S-A-A-C-S-P-S-A SP 1
2 S-S-A-S-S-A-A-C-S-P-S-A SS 2(This corresponds to what you posted, except that there is only one output row for 'SS' when x_id=1.)
One way to get those results in Oracle 11 is:
WITH got_s_cnt AS
SELECT x_id, txt
, REGEXP_COUNT (txt, 'S') AS s_cnt
FROM table_x
, cntr AS
SELECT LEVEL AS n
FROM dual
CONNECT BY LEVEL <= (
SELECT MAX (s_cnt)
FROM got_s_cnt
, got_pattern AS
SELECT s.x_id
, s.txt
, c.n
, REGEXP_SUBSTR ( REPLACE ( SUBSTR ( txt
, INSTR (s.txt, 'S', 1, c.n)
, 'SA*[^A]'
) AS pattern
FROM got_s_cnt s
JOIN cntr c ON c.n <= s.s_cnt
SELECT x_id
, txt
, pattern
, COUNT (*) AS cnt
FROM got_pattern
WHERE pattern IS NOT NULL
GROUP BY x_id
, txt
, pattern
ORDER BY x_id
, pattern
;At the heart of this query is the call to REGEXP_SUBSTR:
REGEXP_SUBSTR ( x
, 'SA*[^A]'
)which is looking for:
S = the letter S
A* = the letter A, repeated 0 or more times
[^A] = anything except the letter A -
A strange problem for Find Value Function
Hi, Dear
I have a strange problem for search Function, my SRM_SERVER is 550 and Package is SAPKIBKT11.
SRM_PLUS is SAPKIBK011.
When I use Find Value Function to find Cost Ctr, Such as:
Account object values = * (it is possible), Search Result: 300 Entries. I have no find my foucs data(12000)
But
Account object values = 12000, Search Result: 1 Entries,(Maximum No. of Hits is 500) I can find it. It is very jocularity.....Faint.
Please help me.
Thanks a lot.This is due to security permissions.
You can do one thing, edit C:\Jdk1.3(your java home)\jre\lib\security\java.policy and add the following line,
permission java.net.SocketPermission "*.*.*.109:1521-" "connect,resolve"; or
permission java.net.SocketPermission "shenpeng:1521-" "connect,resolve";
Save the file and run the applet from the command prompt. If this is not working, copy the java.policy file to C:\jdk1.3 (your java home) and execute the applet.
Hope this helps.
PS:- It is not recommended to access the database from applets. -
Help me find out the error in my first hello application
Hello every body !!!!
I am new to JEE.I am competent on JDK and also have worked on Tomcat JSP,servlet.
But i am having problem running my first JEE programme.
I have Sun Java System Application Server 9.1 with NetBeans 6 on WinXP.
I have used NetBeans 6 hence those comments are there.
Below are the code i have used:
In the hello-ejb module i have following Bean and remote interfaces==>>>
package hello;
import javax.ejb.Stateless;
@Stateless
public class HelloBean implements HelloRemote {
private String name="Yoodleyee";
public String sayHello() {
//return null;
return "My Name is "+name;
// Add business logic below. (Right-click in editor and choose
// "EJB Methods > Add Business Method" or "Web Service > Add Operation")
package hello;
import javax.ejb.Remote;
@Remote
public interface HelloRemote {
public String sayHello();
In the Hello-app-client module i have main()==>>
package hello;
import javax.ejb.EJB;
public class Main {
@EJB
private static HelloRemote helloBean;
* @param args the command line arguments
public static void main(String[] args) {
// TODO code application logic here
System.out.println("Hi "+helloBean.sayHello());
since this program does not require deployment descriptor and also NetBean creates its own deployment discriptor hence i have not written any.
While the BUILD is successfull.But when Run this application I get deployment error.I am pasting the error stack below:

Oracle 10g - To find the corresponding record for a certain row
Hi all,
The scenario is like this - Suppose I've got a table with 100+ columns. For a certain row inside, I need to find its corresponding record which is in the same table. The way how I define "corresponding" here is - these two rows should be identical in all attributes but only different in one column, say "id" (primary key).
So how could I achieve this? What I can think of is to fetch all columns of the first row into some pre-defined variables, then use a cursor to loop the table and match the values of the columns of each row to those variables. But given that we've got 100+ rows in the table, this solution doesn't look practical?
Any advises are greatly appreciated. Thanks.something to play with as Solomon suggested (use some other string aggregation technique if you're not 11g yet)
you'll have to adjust the column_list accordingly
select 'select ' || column_list ||
' from ' || :table_name ||
' group by ' || column_list ||
' having count(*) > 1' the_sql
from (select listagg(column_name,',') within group (order by column_id) column_list
from user_tab_cols
where table_name = :table_name
)Regards

Sorry, I'd better leave the forum: the title says you're 10g :(

Need help for finding oracle payables tables
Hi,
I need help for finding tables relating fields INVOICE_ID, NOTIFICATION_ID and APPROVAL_STATUS or WFAPPROVAL_STATUS. I have searched a lot but has been unable to find any table containing all the above mentioned fields. I found the table WF_NOTIFICATIONS for INVOICE_ID, however have been unable to find the latest tables with INVOICE_ID and APPROVAL_STATUS as fields.
All the tables having this combination are either very old tables which are not used anymore or doesnt give the required data. Please let me know where am i going wrong. Once i get the required tables, i need to join the tables to get the required data with the imp fields. Also, the values of WFAPPROVAL_STATUS are not very clear to me. I need values for it as APPROVED, REJECTED AND INITIATED.Hi Swetha,
You will have to manually make the table adjustments in all the systems using SE14 trans since the changes done using SE14 cannot be collected in any TR.
How to adjust tables :
Enter the table name in SE14. For ex for any Z master data(Say ZABCD), master data table name would be /BIC/PZABCD, text table would be /BIC/TZABCD. Similarly any DSO(say ZXYZ) table name would be /BIC/AZXYZ00 etc.
Just enter the table name in SE14 trans --> Edit --> Select the radio button "Save Data" --> Click on Activate & adjust database table.
NOTE : Be very careful in using SE14 trans since there is possibility that the backend table could be deleted.
How to collect the changes in TR:
You can collect only the changes made to the IO --> When you activate, it will ask you for the TR --> Enter the correct package name & create a new TR. If it doesn't prompt you for TR, just goto Extras --> Write transport request from the IO properties Menu screen. Once these IO changes are moved successfully, then the above proceduce can be followed using SE14 trans.
Hope it helps!

How to read the 'Input help with fixed values' of domain .
How to read the 'Input help with fixed values' of domain .
The domain has a Value range i want to read those values .
Are these values stored in any table ?
Plz help me i need it ver badly...
Thanks in Advance...Hi Chandra Shekhar,
To read the 'Input help with fixed values' of domain , you can use the function module : HR_P_GET_FIXED_VALUE_TEXT.
iIf you enter the domain name, you will find the fixed values entered in the domain.
These values are stored in a table DD07L(DD zero 7 L). Here the values are stored based on domain name.
See if it works for you.
Award points if its helpful.

I am afraid slow performance is a built in feature of this database design, not much you can do in queries.
You could possibly create the views as materialized views and query those instead.
Quote from the linked article
But, how does it perform? Miserably, terribly, horribly. A simple "select
first_name, last_name from person" query is transformed into a 3-table join with
aggregates and all. Further, if the attributes are "NULLABLE" - that is, there
might not be a row in OBJECT_ATTRIBUTES for some attributes, you may have to
outer join instead of just joining which in some cases can remove more optimal
query plans from consideration.
Writing queries might look pretty straightforward, but it's impossible to do in
a performant fashion. -
