Help: why a value of 100 from R3 becomes *0.0 on BW query?
When running a query, find most of the values in a column are *0.0. Check the corresponding field value on R3, find the values should be 100, why 100 on R3 shows *0.0 on BW query?

I need to get a value from an XML column in a table (the column is called TEST_XML). I have tried using the Select TEST_XML.value function but it always returns nulls. Could you please take a look at the following xml sample stored in the TEST_XML column

Help! why the value does not change?
in ViewStack at index=0 (home page) , I pass object to placements (index=1) when I click on a datagrid item. The name on placements has the value that passed from home page.
when I return to home page and click on another item on datagrid, I want the new value pass to placements page, but the first item data is still on the placements. How to refresh it?

ALV - refresh data after value is selected from input help
Hello,
I have input ALV where after I enter material number and press enter, the logic goes ahead and populates description column by utilizing ON_DATA_CHECK event.
Is is possible to trigger some kind of event after the value is selected from search help without hitting enter key?
When the user done with using search help and clicks on material number that he needs, the value is populated in ALV cell, and this is where I need some event trigger to fire the logic to get description without pressing enter.

AlexAlex, in that case, the alternative you have is to:
- Create a Z structure where you have all the table fields
- Bind the Standard DDIC search help to the Material ID (Importing) and the Description (Exporting)
- Create the whole context node in WD referencing that DDIC structure.
The important thing here is that the context node as a whole must reference the structure in order for this to work, not just the fields affected. This may not be possible or desirable in certain cases.
If you do this, the Description will be populated by the SH through its returning parameter, so you wont have to do anything in WD to retrieve it as for the manual input + Enter cases.

Why the value of 24bit bmp file read by the labview different from the original
when i use labview to read a bmp file,it looks just fine,but the the pixel value is dfferent from the original,how it changed,can i change it back
right... Your "result" indicator is an I16, it goes from -32768 to 32767... so that's not enough, before the 2 for loops, just after the Integer to colour value VI you should place a convertion node to convert to i64 and also change you result display representation to i64.

Why different values in Illustrator/InDesign/PS when converting Pantone to RGB & CMYK?
I'm starting off with a pantone color in InDesign and trying to determine a close and consistent approximation of RGB, CMYK, and Hex. When I do this conversion in InDesign, I get different results than if I do it in Photoshop or Illustrator. I have all the apps working at the same color management setting (Adobe RGB (1998) and US Web Coated (SWOP) v2). I'm working old school in CS1.

I realize that any conversion from Pantone is an approximation, but why do the different applications yeild different results? I'm fairly new to color management and print (I come from the video world), so any efforts to dumb down explanations are appreciated.Photoshop's default is to use Lab values when converting from spot colors. So you need to set InDesign and Illustrator to use the same values.
In Illustrator, from the Swatches panel menu, choose Spot Color Options. Choose Use Lab Values specified by the book manufacturer.
In InDesign, from the Swatches panel menu, choose Ink Manager. At the bottom, check Use Standard Lab Values for Spots -

There are a lot thinks we need to notice while writing a report.
First of all VBAP is an item table and VBAK is a header table. For each header data there can be multiple item data. So your report should loop over header data first
Let it be
loop at it_vbak into wa_vbak.

Now wa_vbak will contain one header data, for this header there can be more than one item data in vbap.
now the code will become
loop at it_vbak into wa_vbak.clear wa_vbap.
loop at it_vbap into wa_vbap where vbeln = wa_vbak-vbeln.

Another thing u must take care of is that while u are using FOR ALL ENTRIES in your select statement, check whether this itab is initial or not.If itab is initial program will fetch all the data irrespective of conditions. Please read F1 help for for all entries.

Why are my images scrolling from outside the Page width?
Why are my images scrolling from outside the Page width? I am positive i has all the settings correct, to have an image parallax scroll from the edge of the page into the page and out again. But the images are flying in from the browser width - not the page width. This is not the effect I am after.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? Given the key position is only linked to the height, I can't for the life of me work out how to ensure the images start moving from a certain position onthe left and right of the page.
ThanksI think the effect you are seeing is a result of how the lineHeight is set up. By default, the lineHeight will be calculated as 120% of the size of the largest thing on the line -- in your case, this is the inline graphic. This is designed to leave space between the line before and the line with the graphic. So it is taking the height of the graphic, multiplying by 120%, and making this the distance between the previous line and the line with the graphic. So the bigger the graphic, the bigger the space above the graphic. Normally this works well with text, but in this case you may want to get closer to "set solid". You can do this by setting the lineHeight to 100%. Or you may wish to leave a couple of percent for the descenders of the previous line. Or, another alternative that may work well for you if you really know exactly where you want the line set, you could measure the graphic, add on the number of extra pixels to leave for the descenders, and make the lineHeight a constant. So you could do something like this:

Obviously you would still need to specify the source and any other parameters you want on the image.
Note that if you are trying to fit a 200 pixel high graphic into a 200 pixel high container, you will hit the same problem -- in order to fit the graphic, the container will have to be slightly bigger than the graphic in order to fit the descenders on the last line. This is true even if the last line contains only the graphic, and no descenders (or text) at all.

Why can't I print from my ipad?
I've had my iPad for almost a year now and I like it a lot. It looks very good, it performs very well even though I'm far from reaching my goal of only taking my ipad to school, nothing else.
One important reason why this won't be the case for quite a while still is that I can't print from the iPad.
Let me explain. I make quite a number of worksheets. Being a teacher this is one of the things you do so that the students have something to write on and do exercises. Over the years there have been many of these and my initial thought was to put them all on the iPad and print them when needed. But imagine my surprise when I found out that printing from an iPad seems to be near impossible.
Other colleagues of mine got themselves cheap EEPCs and they work fine. They can access the local printer easily printing whatever they wish. But I can't do that! Unless my school buys a new Air-thingy printer from HP I just won't print there! And that just *****.
I've bought a sleek and expensive machine that is so sophisticated - that I can't use it the way I want to. And that isn't even ******** about the file system that seems to be equally messed up.
My question is, why can't I print from the iPad? Printing had been announced many times before the launch of iOS 4 and then, all of a sudden, nothing more. How can this be? Why do I have to buy additional software - which is not really cheap and far from certain to work at all - just to be able to print a few pages?
Please help me understand this, as I see it, major flaw of the iPad and iOS 5.Thanks guys,
I seem to have understood by now.
To sum it up:
- I can print with the iPad directly if the printer is Airprint compatible.
- I can print via a number of more or less working apps.
I've downloaded some HP software for my iPad and even seem to be able to access it from some other apps, that is except Apples Pages app. Sigh! So whenever I have to make changes in my documents, I still can't print.
GoodReader on the other hand lets me send my documents to the HP app, but the app/HP won't let me print microsoft docs unless I register and send my documents over to HP where the printing prep is being made, then they send it back to me/my printer. Anyway GoodReader blows my layout apart, so I must change it on the iPad, but when I do …
It's a big catch.
You must realize that printing really isn't that comfortable and that as a spoiled old Mac user I might be excused for wishing something more workable.
The truth seems to be that I've got to carry all those docs on a USB-stick, move them over to the Windows-machine at our school and print from there - which is what I do on a daily basis already.
All those workarounds that may or may not work (check out user comments on those printing apps!) are so annoying that my overall question remains pretty much the same.
But I could also rephrase the question: Why can't I print from the so-called best tablet office app even if I am equipped with all the apps I apparently need?
Please understand that this is not Apple-bashing in any way. This is a real problem for me in my everyday life. I won't be persuading my school to buy AirPrint printers just because of my little problem and I honestly don't want to spend more money on printing apps that seem never to even have gone through beta testing.
Still, thanks for you efforts. I guess I'll just have to wait for Microsoft Office for iPad to get that big problem solved. -

NEED HELP! -installing Camera raw presets from USB Stick.
I am attempting to install the Camera Raw Presets.
It says to put them into User Name/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings...
When I get to CameraRaw the ONLY folders in there are CameraProfiles & Lens Profiles.
I have searched everywhere looking for a CameraRaw-Settings folder and cannot find one.
I have latest version of CameraRaw installed and still no settings folder.
I even attempted to find it by looking in camera raw where it has saved the custom settings I made as presets and it shows that they are saved but will not show me where.
I am using CS5 specifically Photoshop v12.0.4 and Bridge. I have Lightroom 4. I have iMac OS 10.7.3
Do I need to reinstall Camera Raw and how do you do that?
Will I then lose my presets that I made in CameraRaw?

There seems to be a serious issue with screen brightness on the 24" iMac. About 6 days ago I bought a 24" iMac (2.66 Mhz model w/4 GB RAM + 640HD).
Out of the box it had Leopard 10.5.5 installed; there were several problems.
1. Screen brightness was way too BRIGHT. Display preferences would not pull brightness down. At least not down far enough so that the screen could be viewed without extreme discomfort. Plus add insult to injury a reboot would reset the preferences to maximum brightness. NOTE: An upgrade to 10.6.1 did NOT fix the issue.
2. Viewing a browser page via either Safari or Firefox (latest versions of each) was not good. A vertical scrolling would be jumpy and appear pixelated. Upgrade to 10.6.1 seemed to fix most of the issue in Safari, but Firefox was still not working properly. The issue appeared like a horizontal "ripple" in about the bottom 2/3 of the browser window. The effect did NOT extend outside of browser window. Changing screen resolutions did not work.
3. Connecting a USB Logitech head set caused issues with Sound preferences.
If the head set was connected during startup the machine would recognize them as main sound. The internals speakers did NOT appear in the Sound preferences. as an optional choice. Removing USB headset and reboot would return the internal speakers to the Sound preferences. Plugging in headseat would work for a while. We could repeat and same problem would occur.
These are all in 10.6.1 - definate bugs.
Returned with the iMac to the Apple store. Bottom line, after nearly three hours; the Apple technician, and everyone could see what we were talking about.
Regarding the screen brightness. Nothing they could do about it. They stated that "not too many people have complained about it, to their knowledge." They stated that the electronics in the "florescent" panel could not be turned down the same way. TRANSLATION: The programers at Apple let this one slip past them. As a customer (software programmer & network analyst) I expected a bit more of an intelligent answer.
However.
Examining the 20" model I noticed that we could turn down the screen brightness - at least to a level that my wife and I could live with. PLUS the settings remained after a restart. Something that was NOT happening with the 24" model.
So - we exchanged the 24" for a 20". Frankly we are a LOT happier. The Safari/Firefox issue is still carried over to the 20". However it is not nearly so noticable on the smaller screen.
Plus the USB headset did not cause the same Sound Preference issues.
So - Thanks for the speedy return/exchange of the iMac. But someone needs to look at this from the programming side of things.
