If you still can't send or receive iMessages
Ensure that iMessage is turned on in Settings > Messages.
To send and receive iMessages, your device must have a valid cellular or Wi-Fi data connection.

iMessage registration validates your Apple ID for use with iMessage. If you are unable to activate iMessage, follow this article.
If an iMessage cannot be sent, it will be resent using SMS or MMS, depending on the content. You can turn this behavior on or off in Settings > Messages > Send As SMS. Carrier messaging rates may apply.
Verify that the Apple ID or phone number is listed in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.

I was in full screen mode and now that I have exited, the main toolbar for Safari is gone. So please don't say go to View. Each time I click off of safari to the desktop, it shows me the Finder Toolbar. I have opened and closed Safari many many times.
No no, if you read what I said, it would be that each individual display would be customizable to the user. The way you have it, it sounds like your second display will be dedicated to scrolling through fullscreen apps not allowing you to do it on the home screen. This is silly because with my concept, you could do that, by dragging apps to fullscreen in your second display, but if you want you could tell another display to scroll through fullscreen apps (independently) if you wanted. Each display will have it's own mission control with it's own set of desktops. I also can see how some people would still want them linked together, so this could just be a little check box made in mission control prefs to "link" or "unlink" desktops with link checked by default.
With your solution you're limited to your setup. but what if the person has three or four displays? Well then your solution would limit them to one dedicated display that scrolls through fullscreen apps where mine lets a person customize their desktops depending on their preference and setup.
further example: if you have safari, address book and mail in one display, you could still have ichat, PS and Illustrator in your second, and a text editor, FTP Client and iTunes in your third. Then you would mix and match these apps but it would promote the use of mulitple displays as well as benefit people with three or more, which thunderbolt, Cinema Display and Pro computers support. -
I think I have all the settings right, why doesn't iCloud work?

Mail might be right. i can send mail from both, but how do I add folders? I cannot find directions anyplace.My only problem right now is iCal. Nothing is syncing but I discovered I did not sign up for Mobile Me. Here is where my real problem comes in: I need a password to sign up for Mobile Me and everytime I put in a password, Apple won't accept it. I have changed my password 6 or 7 times today. When I get the new one, it will let me in to do that particular thing, but five minutes later, I try something else, and I get the error message. I KNOW what I'm putting in is correct.
10 minutes ago I changed my password. I checked in here at the discussions....got right in with the new password. Went to Mobile Me...get error message that this is the wrong password.
What do I do about this? It's been going on all day. I am trying to install iOS5 but I can't get in anything because of the password problem. I don't have a clue what to do. My warranty is off so I ca't call Apple for free and they charge a lot for phone help. Do you have any idea what the problem is with the password and what I can do to solve it?

Why can't send iMessages from my Mac to my iPhone anymore and opposide?
Since today I can't send any iMessage from my Mac to my iphone and opposite. If I try to send it from my phone to my e-mail(which I have to recieve on my PC, or I used to, it says "Not delivered" or If I try to send a iMessage from my Mac to my iphone, I automaticly recieve that iMessage, but instead on my phone its on my PC again, just on different box. I think there is something to do with my accounts, but I have tried anything possible and I can't figure this out!

Just to be clear.
There are three folders called "Library" on a Mac with only the original Admin account. *see fourth Library below.
If you open the Hard Drive to it's top level then you can read Library, System and Users (As well as Applications and anything you have put here.
If you open the System one then there is a Library folder as the next step there.
Also in Users > the name of your Account (Little House icon) then there is one in here.
However since Lion this has been Invisible.
Using the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder and entering ~/Library will open a window in that Library
You can also make the Folder Visible on permanent basis if you need to.
Generally Spotlight will not display the results from the ~/Library which is why you will not find it this way.
Fourth Library.
Since Sandboxing came into being the Containers folder has many "Library" folders that apply to each app that can be sandboxed.
Basically all are at the same depth of Containers/Data/App Name/Library.
As you say it is working I would not worry too much about it.
I have just finished installing OS X 10.9.3 and my Users folder seems to be the next one to become Invisible.

Many thanks for all answers.The determination of whether a message is junk or not is a function of the receiving email program or their ISP. There's little you can do. The recipients will need to configure their junk mail detection to allow your email and not classify it as junk.

windows 8/iphone 5s/latest IOS
I've synced my iphone with my pc and backed up too and when i go into music on my iphone i can see all the tunes listed on there including album covers etc but when i go to play one of the tunes nothing happens or sometimes the phone goes kind of crazy and seems to scroll through every album (visually) on the phone and then stop?! still without playing any actual music?
In the apple store they told me to un-sync music and then re-sync which i did but this hasn't worked. although when i had un-synced and went into my phone to check whether music had been removed it was still there (but still didn't play as described above)
so really i want to know either 1) how to properly delete all the songs from the phone and then re-install them or 2) just get them to sync properly!
Other info - i transfered itunes to a new pc recently and up until just now, i couldn't play these tunes on itunes on my PC, they opened in some terrible microsoft thing - but i just changed the file associations inside windows and now they play great - just not on my phone as described above - maybe this has something to do with the problem?
Also, this only applies to music copied from cd-> itunes on pc 1 ->itunes on pc 2-> iphone. songs purchased from itunes store work fine

Not true. The music and pic sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
You really should transfer everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of your computer. Since you do not have access to the old computer, then use your backup copy of the old computer.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy of your computer ( not good), then you would have to transfer itunes purchased as described earlier. Any other itunes content would be lost.
You can e-mail photo library pics to yourself, but they will not be of the original quality.
Before syncing, enter at least one unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. When you first sync, then you should get the option to merge the data. -
I'm using a new computer. All my music is on an external hard drive and I want it to stay there. Before installing iTunes on the new computer, I followed turingtest2's instructions as to the layout of all the iTunes folders (Itunes folder, Itunes Media, Music, etc...). I also followed his instructions as to get all my music in iTunes on the new computer (but keeping all the media on the external drive). Now my songs are all duplicated in my library (I normally have about 15,000 of them). They all play when I click onto them. Also, I've lost all my playlists, and all the songs in the library are now ticked. I've already spent hours trying to sort this out, but can't seem to find a solution. Help please!

Thank you for replying. I've been looking at your posts about setting up iTunes using an external drive. A bit of background info. My old computer broke down, so I got a new one from work. I've always kept my music files on my external drive (I have around 170GB of music). I didn't follow the suggestions in the "migrate iTunes library" post because my old computer died on me. However, I've looked at your posts about lay out of the iTunes folders. Before connecting to iTunes on the new computer, I had reorganized my iTunes folder on my E: external drive, and created an iTunes folder which contains an iTunes Media subfolder. The music files are in a Music folder, which is in the iTunes Media folder. I've also put the following files in my iTunes folder: iTunes Library.itl, iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes Library Genius.itdb, iTunes Music Library.xml, as well as sentinel. I then followed the advice you gave bmw99 on 2 Nov 2013 at 9.58 (sorry, can't copy the exact answer).
Just to clarify: I'd like to keep all my music media on the E: external hard drive (the computer hard drive is too small), and I'm aware i might never have my playlists back, and that all the songs in my library might be ticked. However, I don't want my library to be duplicated.
I'm at work at the moment, but will be back home in about 10 hours, so I can be more specific about folders / files names.

Not saying I have all the GB i Do on Hard Drive
Ok guys so i got a problem here. I tried using bootcamp utility and partitioned my hard drive later realizing i dont have my mac osx boot disc. So It left it partitioned in half. I opened disk utility and expanded it from the 50gb it has partitioned and dragged it to 250gb which the hard drive is. I click apply it takes about 5 min and then it still says i only have 40gb free... I dont have a boot disc because i lost it so i cant use the disc utility in startup. Does anyone know a boot disc that would work for mac osx leopard.

A retail version of Leopard with an OS version number the same as or higher than the one that came with your MBP. However, you can give AppleCare a call and get a replacement set of OS disks for a nominal fee. -
My Hard disk crashed and I didn't have all the songs backed up
I had to replace my hard disk and only had 3,000 or so songs backed up - I have a total of about 5,000 songs on my 30 Gig Video iPod. Many of the songs I didn't have backed up were purchased songs from iTunes. Is there a way to move those songs from my iPod to my new hard disk?

Select folder options, click on the view tab. Once you are on the view tab, click on the folder that says hidden files and folders. On the hidden files and folders click show hidden files and folders. Then click ok on the folder options window. When you open the ipod now you will see the ipod control folder. In that folder there will be a music folder. Open that. There will be a number of folders that will begin with F00 you will want to go into the folder and you will see a bunch of song files with coded names. You will want to drag them to where it says library in itunes. The songs will automatically rename themselves to the correct name. Go through each one of the folders like this and your library will be restored.
The only thing that I would tell you is that this will duplicate all the songs in your library. So I would clear your entire library before you start this process -
