Help with error when including Actionscript library

Hi,
I have air setup on my system and I threw in the following actionscript library from http://code.google.com/p/as3xls/
I included it into into my html file:
<script src="lib/core/library.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></script>
and i'm using it in the following manner
new runtime.com.as3xls.xls.ExcelFile();
The thing is that it is registering with autocomplete in aptana studio, however when I run it either through aptana or through adl I get the following error:-
Error: Could not find resource bundle collections
I would be really grateful for any and all help that I may get.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I'm attaching the sample project

Apparently I beleive the root cause that it uses features from the flex builder sdk specifically mx.collections. I'm not really sure how to include them either into the swf or configure air in such a way that it can use them if they are included in the system somewhere.
My intent is to use html/js with air primarily and use a couple of compiled as3 libraries to do a little heavy lifting here and there. The library I'm used is open source and some approach which might compile it in a way as to include the required dependencies would also be appreciated.
The original library was an swc file that I extracted.
Would be really grateful for some help in this regard. Thanks.

  • LabVIEW PDA reports COREDLL.DLL error when using Call Library Function Node

    I'm trying to build a LV PDA app that calls an external DLL file built using embedded visual C. When configuring the Call Library Function node I select the stub DLL, configure the I/O parameters and select OK. When the configuration dialog closes I get the following error:
    LabVIEW: LabVIEW.exe - Unable to Locate Component
    This application has failed to start because COREDLL.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
    I do not get this error when using the configuration dialog in the example VIs.

  • Error when opening iphoto library.

    when i try to open my iphoto library i get an error stating "The iphoto library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to make changes to it." and it will not allow me to open the file.  The library is on a external hard disk and i have had no trouble opening it until now.  I am the only one who ueses the external harddrive or the mac.  can anyone help?  All of my pictures on on this file and I need to be able to access it.
    Thanks for the help!

    A strong warning: If you're trying to edit the Library (that is, make albums, move photos around, keyword, make books or slideshows etc.) or edit individual photos in it via Wireless be very careful. Dropouts are a common fact of wireless networking, and should one occur while the app is writing to the database then your Library will be damaged. Simply, I would not do this with my Libraries.
    As to the issue:
    What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Need help with Error #2044: Unhandled securityError:.

    Hi,
    I am developing an AIR+AJAX app and I am using sockets to connect to the ftp server and just checking whether the app is able to connect to the ftp server successfully, check the user name and password and return with a message.
    It connects and displays the following error after 15 seconds or so:
    Error #2044: Unhandled securityError:. text=Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: app:/index.html cannot load data from www.mydomain.in:21.
    at flash.html::HTMLLoader/nativeOnMouseUp()
    at flash.html::HTMLLoader/invokeMouseUpImpl()
    at flash.html::HTMLLoader/onLeftMouseUp()
    How can I take care of this? The app needs to connect to the ftp server often. This error is shown when I am in preview mode.
    This is absolutely essential for me to take care of this because the app will check any number of domains and connect using sockets. Is there anyway to suppress these errors. I have heard of air.Security but how exactly should I use in this regard.
    Please help.
    Gaurav

    Hi Gaurav,
    I'm not sure exactly what kind of documentation you are looking for.
    The live docs language reference pages have sections for Events and Error for each API. You can see there what events or errors a class or any given function may dispatch, and treat them accordingly.
    (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AS3LCR/Flash_10.0/index.html)
    Here is a resource on error events for ActionScript:
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=11_Handling_errors_10.html
    I don't know if you're aware of this, but even if an AS3 API does not have an alias in AIRAliases, it can still be accessed via the runtime property:
    runtime.<package-name>.<class/function> (ex. runtime.flash.events.ErrorEvent)
    You might want to also have a look at this book:
    http://onair.adobe.com/files/AIRforJSDevPocketGuide.pdf
    See the Troubleshooting AIR Applications section (and the "Missing event listeners for error events" subsection)
    Regarding the file upload.
    I think the FileStream is the API you are looking for.
    The live docs for FileStream should have pretty good examples on reading from a file. I think the 'readBytes' function is the one you should be looking at.
    The above book contains a File API section - you can look at "Asynchronously Read Text from a File" for a streamlined file reading process.
    You will probably want to read binary files, but the process is similar. Subsitute the 'readMultiByte' function, which returns a string, with the 'readBytes' function, which reads binary data into a ByteArray.
    You will then write the data read into the byte array to the socket.
    Also, there is a sample on Adobe Labs called KeePIPE, demonstrating the use of new networking APIs in AIR 2. It might be too complicated, and not map exactly to what you're looking for, but you can have a look at:
    js/SendChannel.js : App.SendChannel.prototype.sendFile function.
    Source Code: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs/air/2/b2/samples/keepipe.zip
    Samples Page: http://labs.wip3.adobe.com/technologies/air2/samples/
    Hope this helps.

  • Programmatically generated emails sometime failed with error "Message included an invalid address".

    Hi,
    I am facing a strange problem. I would appreciate if someone can help me.
    Our application sends emails periodically (every 30 minutes). Initially emails send out correct but then the emails stop with error message "Message included an invalid address" after some time.
    FYI, the devices are using MDS/BES connection. Contect protection is enable. etc.
    Below is the code used to send emails:
    Message message = new Message();
    Address toAdd = new Address(emailTo, emailTo);
    Address toAdds[] = new Address[1];
    toAdds[0] = toAdd;
    message.addRecipients(Message.RecipientType.TO, toAdds);
    message.setSubject(subject);
    message.setContent(messageData);
    net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.Transport.send(message);
    Thanks for your time.
    Sali

    I enabled the contect protection on my test device and then after few emails the emails show red cross when device was locked with the same error.
    So I believe the email does not go out when the content protection is enable and deice is locked.
    Any idea to fix our email process?

  • No Driver Error when including Traditional DAQ in CVI 9.0 Distribution Kit

    I have some legacy code (CVI 6.0) that I wanted to upgrade recently.  The biggest reason was the ability to add the device drivers to the distribution kit.  When I installed the software on a new machine I got a No Driver Error when doing a CounterStart call .  In the past that error meant that I had not included CVI support when I installed Traditional DAQ.  Since it was installed as part of a distribution kit I can't see what elements were installed.  I assume since it was included as part if a CVI distribution kit that CVI support is automatically.  How can I get rid of the no driver error?
    Thanks,
    CP

    Hi, Clutch
    try this, build->distribution->managing distribution -> build step. and in drivers&components Table, you can select the driver you want to include.

  • Help with Errors please!

    Hi, I'm building a Flash website.
    I've used frames with names to contain the different 'pages'
    of the site. On the frame called 'SVHS1' I've built an XML mp3
    player with buttons and a volume slider.
    I'm having a couple of problems with this section of the
    site.
    Firstly: when I 'test movie' and navigate to the mp3 player
    section it all works fine, the mp3s load correctly, the playback
    controls work fine, and the volume slider does what it's supposed
    to do. But if I've used the volume slider to adjust the volume (and
    only then) and then navigate to the next frame 'SVHS2' (or any
    frames that are later in the main timeline) I get multiple
    occurrences of the following error in the output pane:
    TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method
    of a null object reference.
    At PSPWebsite1_fla::MainTimeline/adjustVolume()
    I understand (from reading other posts/help etc.) in
    principle what is causing this, but my knowledge of AS3 is too
    limited to know exactly what is wrong with my script or how to fix
    it.
    Secondly: if I press the stop button on my mp3 player and
    then navigate to another frame (any frame before or after
    ‘SVHS1’) the site works fine, and the mp3 player works
    perfectly if I go to that frame again. But if I navigate to another
    frame without first stopping the song it continues to play even
    though I’m not on the mp3 player frame, and if I go back to
    the mp3 player before the song has finished it starts playing
    automatically from the beginning of the first song in the XML list
    again and simply doubles up the sound, which is horrible. When this
    happens the playback controls only affect the 2nd version
    (understandably).
    I think this is probably quite simple to fix, assuming that I
    have to write some script that tells the mp3 player to stop playing
    if/when the user navigates away from that frame...but I don’t
    know how to do this.
    Any help with either of the above would be much appreciated.
    The attached script is for the mp3 player frame.

    You can consider the trace function as being a "can you hear
    me now" helper (instead of an annoying tv commercial gimmick). It
    displays whatever it's told to in the same output window that you
    see that error message come up in. There are two ways I'll usually
    use it.
    I'll often end up simply using a trace("here"); as a means of
    seeing where a process is getting hung up. I gradually move that
    line of code thru what I know to be the step by step sequence of
    the code until "here" no longer shows up. It normally indicates
    that the preceding line of code is where the ball got dropped.
    In AS3, which is often a little more helpful when it trips on
    something, such as the error message you received which tells you
    there's a problem in the adjustVolume function, you can use it to
    see what element in that function is either undefined or out of
    scope.
    Place... trace(vol); ... just after the first line of code in
    that function to see if vol is a number. If it is, then you know
    that line is okay and you can move on to check the next line. If it
    isn't a number, then move the trace before that line and change it
    to... trace(volume_mc.slider_mc.x); ... and see if it is a value.
    If it isn't, then change the trace to check to see what
    trace(volume_mc); results in.... so on and so on.
    It's basically a process of working your way thru code to
    narrow down what piece is the undefined/out-of-scope (or a syntax
    error) element that is causing the problem.
