Help with F4 search on additional field in Infotype 0045

Hi guys,
I have created an additional field in Infotype called 'Payee_Key' of type P0057-EMFSL. I have to create F4 help for that field. However when creating F4 help through foreign key it is showing all tha values for EMFSL in the table.
I want the F4 help to be like Payee Key field of Infotype 0057 , where only specific country values of EMFSL , depending on the employee number are shown. not all values.
Please help me out. Thanks.

Here is the answer to your question:
1) Create a class say ZABC_F4 that implements the IF_BSP_WD_CUSTOM_F4_CALLBACK interface.
2) Create method RETRIEVE_CUSTOM_VALUES with below parameters in that class:
CT_RESULTS_TAB Changing Type SHSVALTAB
IR_CUSTOM_REF Importing Type Ref To OBJECT
IS_SEARCH_HELP Importing Type SHLP_DESCR
3) Write logic for DB select here and put it in below code:
select * from abc into LT.

    need some help with fuzzy search. It's pretty simple - we use fuzzy search on varchar2 columns that contain first name and last_name. The problem is that i don't really understand why it can't find name in some cases.
    Say i want to search for 'Taekpaul'. Then
    where CONTAINS(first_name,'fuzzy(TAEKPAUL)',1) > 0 - works
    where CONTAINS(first_name,'fuzzy(TAEKPALU)',1) > 0 - works (changed order of the 2 last letters)
    where CONTAINS(first_name,'fuzzy(TEAKPAUL)',1) > 0 - doesn't work, finds 'Tejpaul' that is completely unrelated (changed 2nd, 3rd order)
    How can i make it find 'Taekpaul' even if i search for TEAKPAUL? Is it related to index? Like Text index should be created with some different parameters?

    I also started using JARO_WINKLER_SIMILARITY function that is actually better i think for what i do. But it's very buggy - sometimes Oracle crashes and kills connection when you try to use it.

  • E-Recruiting Addition field to Infotype 5107

    I'm implementing E-Recruiting for a client.
    I added the additional field to infotype 5107 Desired Work Location using PPCI. I also created a custom table for Desired Work Location to store the value of Location (county, institution & etc.).  When I added the new field to the infotype 5107 it automatically shows up on the Desired Work Location of E-Recruiting page as a text field.    I found the bsp for this page it's desLocn_detail.bsp.   Also I have to set two field that are already on the page Country and State to a default value.  Both are drop down list.
    Here's my question:
    1.I would like to make the new field list box i think that's what it is called, where the candidates can select multiple locations.  How & where can i do this? And how can i link the value from the custom table that i created to the new field that I added to Infotype 5107 to appear on the list box?
    2.How and where can I set Country and State field to the a default value? Is this done in the IMG?
    3.I'm assuming the deslocn_detail.bsp is a SAP standard BSP.  should I modified this bsp to rendered what I'm supposed to do?  If i modified this page when the upgrade/service pack is applys my modification will be wiped out?
    any suggestion will be helpful.

    I think you should take the following approach:
    The only sane way to keep multiple values in a single database record that comes to my mind id to create a new table to keep the selections.
    It's key should be the same as of the HRP5107 table plus a sequential number for counting selections.
    There are further 3 things to consider:
    1. Filling up the table before display with current selection.
    2. Handlig user selection after submit.
    3. Hiding the text field from user input.
    ad 1.
    I havn't used <htmlb:listbox> before, so I might wrong somewhere, but i guess that you should prepere two tables and pass them to table and selection attributes.
    Probably it would be best to store them as attributes of the controller to provide easy access from the bsp.
    The proper place to fill these structures is the DO_REQUEST method, probably near the end of the method when all standard stuff is done.
    In this method you should read the configuration of available loactions and put it in the 'table' attribute,
    and read the table of selections and put them in the 'selection attribute'.
    ad 2. The place to handle input is the DO_HANDLE_DATA in the controller. As i've said a haven't used listbox, but probably the are multiple fields with the id of the listbox, each containing a selected item.
    You should read them here and place them in the 'table' attribute.
    Next you have change the on_save method in the controller (Actually it might be in a parent controller - i haven't checked it).
    In there you should insert the values in the 'table' attribute to the custom table with selections (probably you have to delete all entries for the current infotype record first)
    ad. 3
    Now that i wrote 1 and 2 i see that you can just remove the field from the infotype...

    To add new fields go to PM01 and select Enhance Infotype option and then follow the steps in sequence.

  • Help with Scripting forms when additional characters added

    Hi,
    I am new to scripting in adobe professional, I thank anyone in advance for any advice or help they can give me.
    I am trying to use the calcuations within the forms that I am putting fields onto.  In the process I discovered that the program the forms are within are attaching a pipe and additional characters after the actual name that I have named them.  So, I am not able to use even the simple calculations within adobe to "sum" fields.   For example: I named the field "1_1Text" and this is what displays when you go into the calculations and pick the fields you want.  But the actual name is "1_1Text|1234567" so the calculations will not work.
    I take it then I need to use the advanced scripting but I am unsure of the format for a routine such as this.  I have a little knowledge of javascript but it has been awhile.  There must be a scan to find the pipe and then you should be able to chop off the extra characters since I will never know the characters the program adds on so then I can do calculations on these fields. Then you would have to put them into an array or something to save them?   Any help with a script or hints would surely be appreciated.

    Could explain more fully how you are creating your forms and what programs you are using from the creation of the base document to which program and how you are adding fields.
    I think you are misunderstanding me.   I use Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0.  I can get the calculations to work correctly if I use the form as it is after creating it. 
    But these forms are put into an SQL database and they get selected within a VB.net program or ASP.net program (both are used).  So these programs (VB.net or ASP.net) are adding the extra characters at the end, hence I do not know the names of the fields when the forms are being filled in.  So the calculations do not work with the "original names" that I created for the fields.
    I just figured if I created a routine that looped through and chopped off the extra characters these programs put on the end I would be able to do the calcuations and they would work.  I believe there is a substring operation within javascript.

    i have a field fld1 (non primary key )and to the dataelement of that field a search help is assigned in table ztable1.
    That search help is referring to a table in which fld1 is primary key in ztable2.
    I have created another search help with all the fileds in ztable1 and iam using this search help in a selection screen returning another field say fld2.
    in this search help i have drill down for fld2, which in turn gives the fields of ztable2.
    This is working fine.
    i have created another search help with the fields of ztable1 but this time its its returning the value of fld1. for some reason in this search i am not able to see the drill downn for fld1 .
    can anyone tell me how to get the drill down even the import parameteris fld1

    I am looking for help with a problem I have, my knowledge on Numbers is limited, I have learnt a lot by trial and error but I do not know where to start on this problem.

    I have searched for AB by entering it in cell B3 on Sheet 2, an auotmatic search has been carried out on Sheet 1 and all the columns have been brought into sheet 2 with the corresponding data and placed under the COLUMN HEADERS. I have over 4000 lines on Sheet 1, although the most result that will ever be pulled through will be 150.
    When the data is pulled in I will need to do other calculation in the COLUMNS F, G and H so the data need to only be mapped to COLUMNS A to E.
    Also I want to be able to use this spreadsheet on my iPad.
    Has anybody got an idea/solution that will help.

    We've had a recent report of troubles with large tables in the iOS version of Numbers, so you may want to consider ways to accomplish your goals without the full 4000-row set of data.
    I re-read the problem statement in your original post and see that I should have known that you were needing a solution for both platforms. But, I'm still not clear on what part you have figured out and what part you still need help with. We often refer to your second table as a "Breakout Table". There are different ways to program it. My favorite is to add a column to the main table that identifies rows that meet the transfer criteria and assigns them a serial number to help determine where they should go in the second table.
    Here's an example:
    In the new column on the right edge of the table T1, the expression is:
    =IF(ISERROR(FIND(T2 :: $A$1, A)), "", COUNT($F$1:F1))
    Note that the first cell in the Aux column is seeded with a zero.
    The expression in the body cells of the second table, T2, is:
    =INDEX(T1, MATCH(ROW()-1, T1 :: $F, 0), COLUMN())
    Note that the search term is to be entered into Cell A1 of table T2.
    Does this give you a start?

    I need help with the following query. In the PO item level, I want to take a user entered date and add 6 weeks to it. For example, after a user enters in a date in the field u_Date1, then U_date2 will populate with U_date1 + 6 weeks.
    I can get the query to copy the U_Date1 field. However, once I add 6 weeks (+42) then I get an internal error. Please advise.

  • HELP with Verity searching

    I have a Verity collection and I am searching it
    successfully. HOWEVER, I have three custom fields that I am using
    as part of the index for each file. I am noticing that by default
    Verity is NOT searching these custom fields. I figured out that for
    the criteria parameter of cfsearch I can do this:

    This will indeed search the custom fields, but only using
    simple search terms like "web" or "web development" or "web AND

    As soon as I try to use more of the other Verity searches

    throws an error. How can I make it so I can search the custom
    fields but also allow the user to use Verity's more powerful search
    terms?

    }I generate a string of about 3 million random characters in is. Stuff the string "j_a_v_a" into the middle and then use good old indexOf() to find it. I repeat the search a thousand times, printing crap out to the console each time through the loop and this process easily runs in 10 seconds. This means it takes less than a hundredth of a second to do a single find (on my box - millage may vary).
    Now I know that that a hundredth of a second is WAY slower than it could be. But exactly why do you need it to be way faster than that? Do you need it to be faster so bad that you need to actually bring in the consultants, ask about algorithms, write a bunch o' code, test it out and document it?
    Remember the quote about premature optimization being the root of all evil?
    Well, it is. You should not be writing the fast algorithm until you have first written the butt simple code to see how slow it is, and if you did write that code, you should have posted it, or clocked it and told us how slow it was and given us some indication of why and how much faster it needed to be.

  • Additional field in infotype 0009 issue ( PBO and PAI )

    I need your help please.
    I have a additional field in IT0009 and when I want created a new infotype 0009, I fill all field but after ENTER or SAVE all field are save in the layout but not the additional field.
    To save the additional field in the layout, I must fill it again and after the ENTER or SAVE the field is save in the layout.
    I have checked in the debbugger, when I create a new infotype 0009 it goes to the PBO but after ENTER or SAVE it doesn't go to the PAI so I must do it again ( fill the additional field and ENTER or SAVE ) and then it goes to the PAI.
    Thus I would like to know how I can make so that after the ENTER or SAVE the screen goes in PAI before the PBO and at the first time.

    After more investigation, the probleme come from a check over country bank.
    In fact, the screen of the infotype 0009 must be adpated following the country bank but to do this, the standard module pool (mp000900) check if the country bank have changed.

    But when you create a new infotype 0009, the ls_bank_data_old-banks is always initial. So when module pool compared the ls_bank_data_old-banks with the ls_bank_data_current-banks, those are always different.
    In conclusion, when you create a new infotype 0009 it is always mandatory to push ENTER before to fill any additional field because at each first time that the standard module pool go in the PAI, it make a leave screen.

  • Help with creating a form - auto field recognition

    Hello there,
    I'm working with Adobe Acrobat 8 and Excel 2003 (very old I know)!
    I need to convert my excel form with lots of checkboxes into an Adobe form - using the autodetect field option in livecycle designer. The problem is, livecycle designer just will not detect my checkboxes no matter what I do.
    I've followed the guidelines - made them symmetrical shapes, acual excel checkboxes etc...still no luck. I have 127 checkboxes on my form and it gets updated on average 4x a month so we haven't got the time to manually put the checkboxes in!
    Can anyone help me with some tips on how to optimise my form to enable the conversion to succeeed?

    I'm not sure I can give you too much help based on this limited information.
    I assume you created an Insert Record form with the Devloper Toolbox's Insert Record Form Wizard. I'm not sure if you are wanting a separeate search page where the user can check if a profile is already there before they try to fill out the form or if you want the page with the form on it to check and see if a user with that profile exists before it inserts the form info into the database.
    If you want a separate search page for checking profiles, you would need to hand code that page with a form to allow the person to check the profile by entering a value and then your code would query the database to see if there was a match. You could probably use the Custom Form Wizard to do some of that.
    If you want the page with the form on it to check and see if a user with that profile exists before it inserts the form info into the database, you would need to create a Custom Trigger on the Insert Record page. This Custom Trigger would need to be set to execute BEFORE the Insert operation. You would need to hand code the Custom Trigger to check the database for matching profiles and throw an error if it finds a matching one.
    Unfortunately, both these options require some hand PHP coding. For info on how to add Custom Triggers with ADDT, read the documentation provided with the ADDT software. Search the forums and tutorial pages for more detailed help.

  • Need help with adding a Key flex field to a seeded OAF page

    We have a seeded OAF page on which we already have Account Key Flex Field.
    Properties of this flex field are:
    The ApplShortName - SQLGL
    Name - GL#
    Type - Key
    As per the client requirement, in the KFF screen, we have disabled the seeded structure for Accounting Flexfield and created a custom structure.
    Our custom structure for the KFF is displayed correctly on the OAF page.
    But now the requirement is to add a new KFF on the OAF page which is duplicate of the existing KFF, along with the existing KFF field; the structure and segments are same. Only difference being the display name of the existing KFF field is Account; the new one needs to be Tax structure.
    Using personalization we added a new flex item and added the properties same as the existing KFF.
    ApplShortName - SQLGL
    Name - GL#
    Type - Key
    But the page is giving following error:
    The data that defines the flexfield on this field may be inconsistent. Inform your system administrator that the function: KeyFlexfieldDefinitionFactory.getStructureNumber could not find the structure definition for the flexfield specified by Application = SQLGL, Code = GL# and Structure number =
    We tried options like compiling the flexfield definition, but the error persists.
    Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

    I used database dbblock wizard to create a form called employee. I took four fields from employee table and put them on my form.
    My questin is If i want to add more items in my form from the same employee table, how can i do it.
    These items should reside on same block as the other items.

    Simple, just add text item, with the help of layout editor, in the same block as per your requirement and then click and check the property of newly add item to fix database => yes , column => as per your table column name / change the textitem Name as per you table column name.

  • Help with Multiple Entries in To Field

    Hi,
    I need some assistance... I have an iPhone 4 and have it configured to get mail via POP and send via SMTP (no Exchange involved). I have all my contacts synchronised from my Outlook client from home. What I am seeing is that when I create a new e-mail on my phone and starting typing in the name of the contact, the contact is listed (and both work and home e-mail addresses are there). But in addition to this, similar to that of the "NK2 file in Outlook" there is an entry also for the contact as a plain e-mail address which is not stored on my phone contacts.
    To summarise, I am getting say a contact with both a work and home e-mail listed plus what the phone sees as their e-mail address (not actually stored as a contact). For example,
    TO: Barb
         > Barbara H
              e-mail_address
         > Barbara H
              home e-mail_address
         > Barbara H
              work e-mail_address
    Does that make sense? I want to get rid of the first listed e-mail address as I rely on my saved contacts in my phone for sending e-mails. It seems to be working in a fashion like the Outlook nk2 files for autofilling e-mail addresses.
    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    I can't believe anyone at Apple said that was expected. That's worth complaining to Apple Support about because clearly whoever you spoke to isn't qualified to take calls.
    Specifying multiple 'to' recipients should be entirely valid. I'd look at the mail logs to see what's going on.
