Help with hotmail!!!

do you guys know how to sync my hotmail email account with my iphone? mails on my laptop remain unread
also, it does not show on my iphone any folders including the ones I distribute my incoming mail in...
any help would be appreciated

I'm just assuming you are running Windows since you want to set up Hotmail. Please click My Settings on the right side of this window and tell us which computer model and which operating system you are using. We need those details in order to assist you. Thanks!

and it can retireve messanges no problems. But if I send one it just seems to hang for ages and then in the outbox menu it says Queued.
Any ideas why?
Im glad hotmail now supports POP3 but want to be able ot send aswell as retieve.

After lots of internet browsing looking for the correct answer I have finally sorted this matter.
If you are on O2 for broadband (home) or O2 for your mobile these are the settings you need. Hope it saves someone else from having to spend days looking like me. Even hotmail did not know, probably because it is O2 specific.
I can't get the same settings to work for both O2 wap connections and O2 broadband Wi Fi. I presume the only way round this would be to have 2 hotmail profiles on my phone! I am also surprised that it was not just O2 wi fi that it did not work with I have tried another one at work and that failed to send also.
Anyway
Mobile settings-
Incoming:
user name- hotmail email address
password- hotmail email password
Incoming mail server- pop3.live.com
access point in use- set to what you want, i set it to always ask
mailbox name- Hotmail
mailbox type- POP3
security (ports)- SSL/TLS
Port- default (which is actually 995)
APOP secure login- off
Outgoing:
My email address- hotmail email address
user name- your hotmail email address
password- your hotmail password
Outgoing mail server-smtp.live.com
access point in use- up to you i set mine to always ask
security (ports)- StartTLS
port- default (which is actually port 25
For Outlook Express to work with Hotmail use these settings:-
Hotmail
Incoming mail server (POP3)- pop3.live.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)- relay.o2broadband.co.uk
Accunt name- your hotmail email address
password- your hotmail email password
Outgoing mail port- 25 (and un-tick the option this server requires a secure connection SSL)
Incoming mail port POP3- 995 leave SSL ticked

Help with hotmail account

Hey y'all,
I'm having some issues with Mail. I don't have a mac.com account and I'm trying to setup mail to work with both my hotmail and outlook accounts. I setup the hotmail account but it won't let me send e-mail and I don't think I'm receiving it either. When I do the connection doctor it says it connects okay (green light) but it won't send anyway. Help? Would it just be better to get a mac.com account?

As I understand it, the free Hotmail account is purely webmail and isn't accessible from a mail client. You would need to subscribe to Hotmail Plus. You may also need the 'httpmail' plugin:

For 3 days, Hotmail has not worked on my iPad although it works fine on my computer. I see this problem has been adressed in the past and has been a problem for many people in the last few days, but I don't see a solution to the problem. Please help.

Hi, I just switched from my former ISP to to Qwest DSL.
MSN Hotmail is what I have bundled with the package I purchased unfortuneatley. So I hunted around and found that I could download a plug-in to let me retrieve my hotmail through my Tiger's Mail client. (I'm sure everyone knows of the plug-in I'm speaking about)
Well, I configured it like it instructed me to. I seem to retrieve mail just fine, but when I try to send...I get a message.

Sorry, if someone addressed this on an earlier post, but I hunted for an answer and couldn't find one.
Does anyone know what this is and how I might resolve it.

It may just be how hotmail is set up. None of my folders show either. You might look into the hotmail settings themselves - as in on hotmail, not your ipad, and see if there are some things you need to change for 'mobile sharing/access'.
I know that my yahoo interface is different from my hotmail one, so what you can/can't access may depend on what the 'host' allows.

You will have to provide a lot more detail about what you want to do in clearer language for anyone to be able to help you.
Also, it is not a good idea to post your email address in a public forum. Doing so can increase the amount of junk mail you get.

Where can I find help with Hotmail issues

Using HP Touch Smart 320 All In One PC. System worked fine until
a day or two ago when all of a sudden Hotmail would not display.
The screen shows that I have mail but when I click on the in box,
junk or anything else, nothing happens. I tried turning the computer
off and restoring to an earlier date. Both worked for a while but the
problem came back after each. I can still get my mail thru Windows
Live and another E-Mail account but not thru Hotmail. Any ideas
out there? Tks Just remembered. I did get the following message
before this happened: Security Alert Revocation information for the
security certificate for this site is not available. Do you want to proceed?
Yes, No, View Cer (I viewed cer and it appeared to be good) so I
selected Yes.

When I send a forward, the recipient always get a blank email. How can I fix this?

I would really appreciate some help with my search & results page that is now throwing up the following error:

I am new to php and am setting up a dynamic site in Dreamweaver (thanks to the Missing Manual – very helpful). I apologise in advanced for my lengthy description of the problem (perhaps get yourself a drink before continuing!)
I have a Search page with 4 list menus where the user can select an option from ANY or ALL of the menus, if a menu is not selected the value posted to the results page will be 'zzz'.
On the results page I have 4 recordsets, all getting the correct results, only one recordset is required to run depending on how many of the menus from the search page have been selected and a test is run before executing the sql using a SWITCH statement checking how many of the menus had passed the 'zzz' values from the Search page if you see what I mean. The results page has Repeating Regions, Recordset Paging and Display Record Count. The exact result that I require are generated by this method.
THE PROBLEM, when a user makes a selection the first page of 10 results is fine, but the error message above is shown at the bottom of the page, AND when the user clicks NEXT to go to the next page of results THERE ARE NO RESULTS.
This is exactly what happens depending on how many menus selected and which recordset is used:
4 menus selected from Search: runs RSsearchforsale, results correct but 3 error messages on 1st page relating to mysql_free_result($RsSearchForSale2),mysql_free_result($RsSearchForSale3), & mysql_free_result($RsSearchForSale4). The display record count shows correct results found. NEXT page is empty of results and still shows the correct display record count as if it should be displaying the records, also has the same 3 error messages.
3 menus selected from Search: runs RsSearchForSale2, results correct but 3 error messages on 1st page relating to mysql_free_result($RSsearchforsale),mysql_free_result($RsSearchForSale3), & mysql_free_result($RsSearchForSale4). The display record count shows correct number of results. NEXT page shows results from the DEFAULT setting of the recordset and the Display record count reflects this new set of results. Also still shows the 3 mysql_free_results for RsSearchForSale2, 3 and 4.
2 menus selected from Search: runs   RsSearchForSale3, results correct but 2 error messages on 1st page relating to mysql_free_result($RSsearchforsale) & mysql_free_result (RsSearchForSale4). The display record count is correct. NEXT page does exactly the same as described in above 3 menus selected.
1 menu selected from search: runs RsSearchForSale4, results correct but 1 error meaasge on 1st page, mysql_free_result($RSsearchforsale). Display record count is correct and again when NEXT page is selected does as described in above where 2 or 3 menus selected.
If you have gotten this far without falling asleep then thank you and well done! I have pasted my code below and I know its a lot to ask but please please can you give me an idea as to where or why I have gone wrong. I felt I was so close at perfecting this search and have been working on it for weeks now. I feel sure the problem is because I have 4 recordsets on the page but I could find no other way to get the exact results I wanted from the menus.

Thank you for your reply and patience, we are getting closer in spite of me!
Of course i needed to change the name of the recordset, i did that the first time i did it (when i got the error), the when i re did it i forgot, in my defense i was also trying to get a full understanding of the code using the W3Schools php reference and writing by the side of the code on a piece of paper what it meant in English.
Anyway after re doing the code correctly it still displayed all the records of my database but i realised that was because i was POSTING from the search form and when i changed it to the GET method I now get results when all 4 list menus are selected from and the paging works. After reading about the POST / GET method i chose the POST option, is the GET method a better option in my circumstance?
On my site now if the user selects from 1,2 or 3 of the menus rather than selecting the relevant records it displays the NO RESULT page, I would like my users to be able to select from all of the menus or ANY combination of the menus and find exact results for their search, for example if they only select a location and a price i want it display all records that match that location and price with any number of bedrooms and any Type of property: Perhaps this is due to how my list menus are set up, for each menu the first Item label is Location (or Beds or Type or Price) and the value i have left blank which i believe means that it will use the item label as the value, the second Item label for all menus is Any and again the value has been left blank. All other item labels have values relevant to database records.

You're not adding the WHERE clause to the SQL query. My example code uses $query_search. You need to change that variable to match the name of your recordset, i.e. $query_RSsearchforsale.
Moreover, the WHERE clause needs to go before ORDER BY.

Contact form Not working with Hotmail Accounts

Hi, I have a problem with all the sites i have built with Muse. If the customer filling in any of the contact form on the websites uses a hotmail email account ( [email protected] )
I get the following error message 'The server encountered a problem'
Ive read that this could be a problem with my third party hosting company but they assure me that this is being caused by an error on the form
Can anyone help with this please

Need help with Mail

Hi:
Need your help with something I don´t understand: we try to set up a new hotmail account in Mail (we have used both Preference Panel and directly in Mail) but it never recieves the Inbox. I can send but don´t see anything in Inbox.
I looked into User/Library/Mail/V2/accountname/INBOX.mbox/ and the folder with the xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx name structure is never created.
I tried to set up another hotmail account and it works ok, only this specific account fails.
I Used a Permissions repair, didn't worked. Erased all data in V2, again not worked. Tried to "cheat" Mail setting up another hotmail account and then changing info to the specific account failing, not luck. Also reset sync services (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627?viewlocale=es_ES), still not work. Rebuild inside Mail also didn´t worked. Any idea to get this account working?

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go â¹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

Mail with Yosemite OS doesn't work fully with Hotmail IMAP

First of all my question:
How do I set up Mail properly in Yosemite OS so it works fully with Hotmail IMAP?
My problem:
I can receive and send mails through the hotmail IMAP account but I am not able to search inside mail content, mail headers or anything near mail data for any hotmail mails.
My setup:

Perhaps this is a bug in Yosemite Mail?

to convert abap itab or variable into xml string use ABAP key word call transformation.

            source output = itab[]
            result xml xml_out.
where itab is your internal table or any abap variable.
xml_out is type string which will hold the resulting xml.
ID is the transformation program. if you wanto use your own transformation, use your XSLT or ST program there.

i have bought a Mac book, its not new but its been fully refurbished
But as I am completely new to the operating system, can anyone help with book marks, downloading pictures from a camera, using MS word

I got this Mac book as they seem to get online a lot better than any Windows laptop and I don't keep getting updates

Just to directly answer a few questions...
...if you use Safari, Apple's built-in browser, you can create a bookmark by holding down the command and D keys at the same time. I don't use Safari that much - I prefer Firefox mainly for the fact that there's a plug-in or extension for most anything you can imagine.
There are two ways to transfer photos from your camera to your Mac - you can either use a USB cord (if your camera came with one) and plug it into a USB port and transfer photos or you can use the SD card socket on the left hand side of your MacBook Pro and take the SD card out of your camera and transfer your photos to your Mac.
You have to purchase, if you haven't already, Microsoft's Office for Mac to work with Word. Office 2010 on Windows and Office 2011 for Macs are very similar so if you're familiar with the Windows side you'll have no problems.
