Help with reversed Hebrew

Hi all,
When I convert a PDF with Hebrew content to Word, the new Word document has all the Hebrew letters reversed (as in "hello" comes out "olleh" in Hebrew etc.).
I tried editing the Language preferences (checked the right to left option), but it still comes out reversed.
Any ideas?
I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.

I don't understand your problem If you are indeed typing in Hebrew It is read from R to Left and would be as you describe.
Hebrew as well as most if not all Middle Eastern Languages are written right to left (RTL) in order to get hello to look like hello in hebrew
you would have to type o first then l then l then e then h
I am not jewish nor middle eastern But I run into this question at least once or twice a day on Office Mac Word answers forum where I answer question regularly.
Office mac doesn't support RTL languages of any type. Although Macintosh does. The code for office is binary which was created in the days of OS9. And its basically been patched year to year to allow it to work on newer Systems. MS is to chintzy to use the latested Coaca Code base which would allow RTL languages to work. So I along with others have to recommend other products.

Help with Reverse Animation On Button

The buttons are animated with a movie clip inside each button
and the movie clip plays on rollover, however I need this same
movie clip inside the buttons to play reversed, when the cursor is
moved away from the button.
I know how to do this with an instance but I already made
each button and fooled around a thousand times with the animation
and I do not wish to start over again!
I have only experimented with this type of action script
before and I must say I am a little lost =(
Can anyone help me as to how I would go about doing this ?
Any coding would help.
I know there is a simple way of doing it with action script,
but I have no more time to fool around and I need your assistance

Without knowing the details of what you have created, or the
code you have attempted to use, the best I can offer at the moment
is to say you need to have the reverse playing code of the
movieclip get triggered by the mouse out event and not stop
stepping back down the timeline until the _currentframe value
reaches 1. If another mouse over should occur, then it's your
decision as to whether it picks up from where it has stepped back
to or starts from frame 1.
Starting over again is often the better approach, since what
you may have created may not be able to facilitate directing things
to play in reverse.

Hello guys need help with reverse array

Need help reversing an array, i think my code is correct but it still does not work, so im thinking it might be something else i do not see.
so far the input for the array is
6, 25 , 10 , 5
and output is still the same
6 , 25 , 10 , 5
not sure what is going on.

ok so i went ahead and followed what you said

im thinking this is because the main array is has 10 elements with only 4 in use so this is a partial array.
Example
the array is { 6, 25, 10, 5, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0,}
after the swap
{0, 0 , 0 , 0, 0 , 0 , 5 , 10 , 25, 6}
i need it to be just
{ 5, 10, 25, 6}
so it is swapping the begining and end but only with zeroes the thing is i need to reverse the array without the zeroes

Help with doing a Reverse Clone.

I have a very stable Bootable Clone of my entire HD - including my design apps, images and 10.4.9. I made it with DiskUtilities 2 months ago onto an external LaCie firewire HD.
Today, my intel imac had HD "volume stucture problems". Applecare had me do an erase/reinstall - which I probably shouldn't have done.
Now, I want to over-ride that with what's on my Bootable Clone. I'm sure my clone doesn't have those "structure problems".
Can someone please help walk me through that - in steps? I'm not an IT person. Thank you ever so much.

I already used Disk Utilities & made a stable BootClone - 2 months ago. Yesterday– in error–applecare had me do an erase-reinstall. Now, my Intel's current setup can't do internet, email or download until I can replace Inte'ls contents with contents of my external drive's BootClone.
So Question is - Can someone please send me steps for doing a reverse clone? I need help with this. I'm not an IT person, so I need steps.

When the program starts, it asks the user for his/her name and surname. I got the program to ask the user again and again for his/her name and surname
when he/she doesn't insert anything or just press 'enter', but if the user enters a number for the name and surname part, the program continues.
Now my question is this: How can I restrict the user to only enter 'letters' (and spaces of course) but allow NO numbers for his/her surname??

What you could do is checking the input string for numbers. If it contains numbers, just reprompt for the Name.
AND you might want to ask yourself why the heck a calculator needs to know the users Name.

Problem with reversal of Service entry Sheet

Hi All,
I am facing a problem with reversal of service entry sheet. The user has posted the document in dec 2009 and now the user wants to reverse the doc. I told the process how to reverse it. But when she is trying to revoke the acceptance, she is getting error log.I told her to reset the posting date to present date.Now she tried to change the doc date but she is getting error as "604 item 010 WBS element ****** budget exceeded year 2009". So i advised her further to increase the budget in the year 2009. Even that solution is not working.

Need help with connecting file inputs to arrays

In this assignment I have a program that will do the following: display a list of names inputed by the user in reverse order, display any names that begin with M or m, and display any names with 5 or more letters. This is all done with arrays.
That was the fun part. The next part requires me to take the names from a Notepad file, them through the arrays and then output them to a second Notepad file.

I have tried various methods but the one thing that really gets me is the fact that i can't find a way to connect the names to the arrays. Opening the file with FileInputStream is easy enough but using the names and then outputing them is quite hard. (unless i'm thinking too hard and there really is a simple method)

By "connect", do you just mean you want to put the names into an array?
array[0] = "jim"
array[1] = "laruie"
and so on?
That shouldn't be difficult at all, provided you know how to open a file for reading, and how to read a line of text from it. You can just read the line of text, put it in the array position you want, until the file is exhausted. Then open a file for writing, loop through the array, and write a line.
What part of all that do you need help with?

Does "Arabic" imply equal support of Hebrew? (If so, this should be made explicit.) If so, is the English/Arabic/Hebrew DW CS6 fully bilingual? That is, is it fully usable and maintainable by a user who speaks neither Arabic or Hebrew, only English? Are the upgrade paths from US CS5 to Arabic and Hebrew CS6 and so on distinct or intertwined? Will Adobe U.S. support, in total, be able to help with the features described on this page?

Help with .local domain fix

Hi,
I'm trying to inplement the fix that is decribed here http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4041 about creating reverse lookup zones and pointers. Although there is information there about it, it links to Microsoft's website with details about it but they're pretty vague. I was wondering whether anyone would be able to provide assisstance to someone without much DNS experience?

The workarounds or fixes discussed in that technical note are all sequences over on Microsoft Windows Server and involve the Windows Server 2008 DNS server.
Which particular sequence are you trying with Windows Server, and what's confusing you about it? (So that somebody here might be able help with this.)
What OS X Server version? If you're trying to do IPv6 on 10.6.8, AFAIK that involves manually editing the zone files, and that can perturb Server Admin.app. Based on a quick look, there's no IPv6 AAAA record support in the GUI. (But you're probably using the Microsoft Windows Server DNS servers?)
Which Windows Server?
The best fix is to register a real domain and migrate the local network and the domain servers over to that. The Apple networking engineers have recommended against using .local for DNS for a while. They've indicated they try to make this work, but that it likely won't be reliable. Microsoft is moving away from this, as well.

Help with determining PANTONE swatches accurately

I've recently designed a logo for an event. It's a 3-color design done entirely using process colors. The client would like the PANTONE equivalent of each color, however, and I'm having a lot of trouble figuring this all out (I'm a bit of a prepress newbie).
First of all, I have a lot of questions about the LAB view vs. CMYK view for spot colors in Illustrator:
1) The difference between the two is HUGE. In CMYK view, there is less subtlty, but the colors are vibrant and versatile. In LAB view, I can access certain colors I can't otherwise get, but most of the palette is desaturated and muddy. Is it supposed to be this way?
2) Supposedly, the LAB view for spot colors is relatively new in Illustrator. Considering how far off-base the CMYK versions of each spot swatch is, how was anyone getting work done before this feature was added? I don't understand how I could have even hoped to do spot color work using the CMYK swatches in older versions. They're entirely different colors in many cases. I must be missing something.
3) Is it accurate to say that, monitor calibration notwithstanding, and all other things being equal, the LAB view of a given spot color is more "accurate" than the CMYK version? If this is the case, the PANTONE uncoated library of solids is incredibly dull and muddy, because that's how it looks in LAB mode. I've been browsing a physical PANTONE book as well, and the colors don't appear to be nearly as bad in real life. My monitor may not be perfect, but I can't believe it's so poorly calibrated that the colors could look THIS different.
4) When viewing my work in LAB view, one of my colors translates perfectly from CMYK, while another doesn't even come close when attempting to match it with a spot color. In CMYK view, it's reversed-- the first color looks terrible, while the second actually comes pretty close. Which version can I trust? They're total opposites, making the final selection of a single swatch impossible. I'm not sure what to give my client-- if they're using an older version of Illustrator (which is likely), they'll have to see this in CMYK mode, and it will look terrible. Even a PDF I exported doesn't look right in Acrobat. How should I be approaching this?
As you can see, the seemingly simple task of selecting PANTONE swatches for 3 CMYK colors has turned into a bit of a mess. Any help with these confusions of mine would be hugely appreciated.

my simple advice concerning Spots, is this:
Buy a swatch book for Pantone Spot Coated and a swatch
book for CMYK for your Process Coated, as recommended
by your printing company (here ISO Coated, maybe SWOP
elsewhere).
Then compare visually the chosen Spot and a matching
process color.
If there is no good match, then you can print only
by Spot.
If you've found matching pairs, then you can print
letterheads by Spots and 4-color brochures by CMYK.
Personally, I'm using as equivalents for Spots only
two-color process colors, if e.g. a logo has to be
designed. This leads to minimal registration errors.
Another ugly truth is, that even an accurately calibrated
proof printing system by inkjet cannot reproduce plenty
Spots sufficiently accurate.
Meanwhile you may try to investigate all this by a true
Lab doc for common Spots:

Sapscript Logo upside down with reverse color

Hello experts,
In ECC6, my colleage and I tested a sapscript logo on the same black&white printer. However, the printouts came out differently. My laptop produced a correct logo, but my colleage's one produced an upside down logo with reverse color. This is the statement we used in the form. Do you know if we miss something to check for? Please help!

First go to se78 and check the uploaded logo in the print previw. If it is fine then instead of defining the incluide statement manually
open the window where you want to include the logo then select the path include ->Graphics then select your logo
If logo appears in the upside down then the problem is in uploading.

I can find the original creation script if it is necessary.
My guess was that I need to define the foreign keys myself into the
generated schema.xml This is stated in the manual. However, this did not
help, although it changed the stack trace a little (it complains about
different classes than before):

-primaryKeyOnJoin flag tells Kodo to ignore a join table with a primary
key on the join columns. But Kodo can't handle join tables with extra
column(s) just for a primary key identifier. This isn't a limitation of
the reverse mapping tool, it's a limitation of Kodo. Kodo wouldn't know
what to insert in those extra primary key column(s) when adding membersWhy not? If it can handle single numeric pk columns when making the
generated classes use data store identity, it has to generate something to
those columns. I can't see why this is different.
That is simply out of curiosity - the next thing fixed my problem:
to the join table. Of course, if the primary key is an auto-increment or
something where Kodo can ignore it for inserts, you can just remove the
<column> elements and the <pk> element from your .schema file and the
reverse mapping tool will map it as a join table appropriately.It is auto-increment, so I did this and it worked. Thanks.

I need help with a button animation!

Hi,
I hope someone can help with a simple-looking problem which
nonetheless has me stumped!
I have a feeling that I've missed something obvious.
I've created a movie clip to act as a button (I've called it
"abs_button") and placed it on the stage.
My main movie has one frame.
Within the "abs_button" movie clip there are 5 layers.
Labels, actions, default button state, rollover state and rollout
state.
Technically, default button state, rollover state and rollout
state could be on the same layer as they don't overlap, but I've
given each animation its own layer for clarity.
FRAME 01.
Default button state is one frame with a graphic of the
button. Just a label at the start ("abs_up") and a "stop();" action
at the end.
FRAME 02 to 31.
Rollover state is a 30 frame animation. Label at start
("abs_over"), "stop()"; action at the end.
FRAME 32 to 62.
Rollout state is a 30 frame animation. Label at start
("abs_out"), "stop()"; action at the end.
All animations were achieved with tweens.
My initial "abs_button" code:

I've tried for 2 days to solve this, but I clearly need help.
My experiments with variables simply didn't work.
I would be grateful if someone could tell me where I'm going
wrong!

Since the code is attached directly to the movieclip, you
don't have to
identify the clip. A gotoAndPlay() function takes a frame
number or a
frame label name as its argument, never the name of the clip
that
contains the frame number or name.
