Help with starting a Warranty service on a Quadro k4000 c2j94at

I'm trying to get a replacement Video Card, because mine failed two days after I plugged it in. I would have returned it to the online store where I purchasing it, but it took 2 months to assembly the custom built computer. So now I trying to deal with getting HP to acknowledge that they own the warranty service on this product that has their name all over it. I've managed to verify my warrenty on the HP warranty check site, and it comes up just fine. I've got a screen shot with the product number and serial number saying it's covered until 2017-04-08, but when trying to link this under "Contracts and Warranties" it fails to find my serial number and product number.
I've tried multiple times to contact HP service by phone and chat, but I've been hung up on 3 times and endlessly transfered and hung up on, and every support rep. just says it's not my problem, or  "I don't know what a Graphics Card is, sir", or "what computer is this in?".  I've got a $1000 dollar piece of junk on my desk, and my machine is running on some $20 video card that just doesn't cut it.
Does anybody know how to get through to HP service? How do I contact someone who deals with individual sold hardware computer components? Apparently there's a forum for Hardware, but is there a phone number for service?

    Hi there . I think I'm royally fckd. I was on blogger and my screen froze no cursor move nothing had to force quit. Now every time I try to turn on the MacBook Air all I get is a black screen and that start up noise over over over again . still black screen and no log in page . Is there a way to fix this or is it royally gone to mac heaven.help with thanks .

    your force quit wouldn't cause an inability to powerup.   Black screen on every powerup?
    SSD or logic board fault likely.
    Contact Apple for diagnostic/ repair.
    Anything in your Air can be fixed yes. 

  • How can I get some help with Verizon's customer service?

    I want to preface this by stating that this is the first time in the 10 years in which I've been a Verizon wireless customer, that I've had a problem that cannot be resolved to my satisfaction.  My issue started with a Verizon Wireless Stores in Bethlehem, PA.  I asked one of the sales clerks for some assistance (which I now regret).  My question to her was that I simply wanted to be able to connect my home laptop computer to the internet data on my mobile plan. Without even discussing the different options, I was "told" I needed to purchase a Mobile Hotspot Device (for $69.99, but just $20 after rebate!).  I told the clerk I didn't want to have to pay an additional bill every month and didn't want something that wasn't absolutely necessary.  She neglected to give me the more costly details, like the fact that it would require a 2 year contract on the device, and it would also cost me an additional $20 per month.  She knew I wasn't really sure what the most cost-effective option was, so I trusted her knowledge.  I even had my husband speak to her over the phone about the device, since he's more savvy about technology than I am.  The clerk spoke with him the entire time she completed my transaction, and when she rang the sale up, she did not have me sign anything.  She handed me the receipts, and told me I had 14 days to decide If I wanted to keep the device.  When I got home and tried to use it, it would not connect to my computer.  I took it to a local Verizon store on my lunch break one day and they looked into the transaction.  They told me it was never put on my account; it was charged to someone else's account in error.  I had to go back to the store where I originally purchased it.  I wasn't able to get back to the original store right away, but I made sure to get there by the 14th day.  It took two store managers to look at my account and figure out the error.  They fixed it, but no one apologized to me for the inconvenience; they simply told me they could activate the device for me, or if I didn't want it any more, they would take it back (minus the $35 restocking fee). I took issue with the restock fee, because the store made the error by not giving me the full information at time of purchase, and then not charging it to my account so that I could try it out for 14 days.  I was very upset that the manager refused to remove the restocking fee due to "policy" and that I "signed a contract" and I had to pay it.  I argued that she should make an exception in this case, because I was inconvenienced.  I told her if she valued my future business at her store, she would reconsider.  She refused to budge and told me that I didn't need to shop in her store any more.  I thought that was quite rude and insulting. So, I took all of my original receipts, along with the receipt that indicated that she refunded the $69.99 plus tax (minus the $35 restock fee).  I left the store quite upset, but figured there wasn't much else I could say to her. Meanwhile, it's days later and my bill still shows the entire amount of $74 for the mobile hot spot device still on there.  There is no credit for the return at all.  I called customer service on my lunch break yesterday, and was on the phone for 45 min with a "Kendra R" to no avail.  The entire call, she kept putting me on hold, and my bill was still not straightened out. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager, she said there was no one else available.  Later that afternoon, I got an automated call (that left a voice message) from Verizon Customer Service to do a survey on my customer service experience.  I did the survey and explained that my problem was not resolved and I would like a call back.  No one has called me back yet, and I am stuck with no resolution to my problem.  Now the Verizon store has the device back, and I still have the entire amount for it on my bill.  Can you help me please?

    Nope, it was a Verizon Wireless Store.  I went in there in the first place because I trusted the Company for their professionalism, but I've been let down badly.  I posted my story on here because I'm hoping to be able to get the attention of someone from Customer Service.  It seems like the only way you can actually speak with a live person who knows what they are doing, is when you stop paying your bill on time.  After you pay your bill, they transfer you to a poorly trained "rep" that has no authority to handle anything important. I'm actually a pretty patient person, but when it takes someone over 45 min mostly just to keep me on hold, and then tell me they can't help me, I'm not really impressed with their idea of customer service.

  • Help with starting the EM dbconsole please - emctl error.

    Hi there - i've spent half my life trying to sort this and it's in vain. There's only 9 hits in google for the below error message and half of those are in Japanese. Not much help therefore. So any advice to be gratefully received!
    I've installed enterprise manager with the option for Oracle to create a new repository. All seems to have installed ok. I've issued the set oracle_sid and the usual "emctl status dbconsole" command and i always get the "unable to locate web application configuration from ." error.
    I can't see any oracle dbconsole service in the services window either. Should there be one or does this get created when you run a successful "emctl start dbconsole" command?
    I've tinkered with the Oracle homes (as per previous discussions) but to no avail.
    Appreciated if someone could point me in the right direction - I'm a newby to Enterprise Manager.

    Nope. Still exactly the same.
    Error as per previous server before i started hacking it (emctl status dbconsole): "Unable to locate web application configuration from ." I'm completely losing my mind with this install. This same error has happened on 3 different servers now. Always falls over on this agent configuration. Don't Oracle test their installation procedures? Anyway, here's a not so useful snippet of the logs. If anyone knows anything, would be good to let me know - otherwise change of career for me :-(

  • Help!  Started getting No Service Vodafone NL last night.

    I started getting this last night.  I also get Mobil Network Unavailable or possible invalid MMI Code. 
    I have tried the following:
    - Rebooting
    - Shutting down and restarting
    - Hard boot (removing battery with phone on
    - Removing battery with phone off
    - Dialling *228 and trying to select option 2
    Any help at this poing would be greatly appreciated.

If so, have you  contacted us prior to your travel to have the global services activated on your device? If you are using a Verizon Wireless SIM card while in Europe on your Incredible 2 then please verify that the global setting is active on the device. I have the steps listed below.
    1.  Press Menu & select Settings
    2.  Select Wireless & Networks
    3.  Select Mobile Networks
    4.  Select Global Mode
    If the steps above have been verified to be correct in the device and you are still experiencing lack of service, then encourage you to call our global support team.   • How Do I get Help with a Major Customer Service Issue?

    Hello,
    I am a Pro Care member and I took my Macbook Pro in to one on the local stores to ask them about a font issue that I was experiencing. One one the Genius guys came over and asked me a few questions and told me that this wasn't a big deal at all, that they just needed to reinstall my default fonts and that it should take maybe 45 minutes. This was at 4:30pm. Six hours later they came back to be to tell me that they had corrected the font issue but all of my user data and applications were lost! It was if I had a brand new Macbook Pro! This was a Friday evening. I was told to take my laptop to a company called Data Savers the next day to have this company try to restore my data/applications.
    I took my laptop to Data Savers on Saturday and they told me that they would need to keep it for a day. I went back to pick it up on Sunday and I was given an external drive that had "raw restored data" on it. When I had been speaking with the store manager about the situation and he wanted me to provide him with a list of software that was on the machine. So, when I got home from picking up my laptop from Data Savers I started it and all I got was an icon of a circle with a slash through it!! I called the guys at Data Savers and told them about this and they asked to bring the laptop back to them on Monday. I did. After running some diagnostics on the machine I was told that my hard drive was "toast!"
    Needless to say I was both upset and distraught! The store manager told me (in emails that I still have) that he understands how upset that I was about coming in for a font related issue and three days later being told that my laptop was no more that a big paper weight. He said (in these emails) that he would replace my laptop and he would try to get me the latest versions of the software that I had to make up for the business that I had lost in the last few days due to the fact that I didn't have have my machine.
    The store manager then called me back on a Tuesday and said that his superiors had told him that he cold not do what he said that he would do. Obviously, this increased my level of frustration. I was able to speak to this manager, think it may have been some sort of regional manager and after indicating that I had emails of the store manager acknowledging the facts of the matter and stating that he was very sorry for what happen, the regional manager said that she wanted me to send her copies of the emails. I told her that the store manager had copies of everything. She told me that she would get back to me. This was Wednesday afternoon. That same evening the store manager called me to say that "because I was lead to believe that Apple would replace my laptop, they would do so. I was told to be be at the store around noon on the following day (Thursday) and to bring my laptop. I was told that they would replace it.
    When I got to the store on Thursday, the manager came up to me and shook my hand and said that he was sorry for all the trouble and inconvenience. He went on to say that before he could replace my laptop that I would have to sign a document saying that I agree that they were not responsible for anything that had happened in the past six days!!
    The fact is, that isn't true and they know it. I have the email to prove it. I didn't sign the document. the next day because I could no longer afford to lose money and clients I went into another Apple store and purchased in brand new system!
    The fact is that I believe that Apples products are far superior to PC products. I was told by some to never buy from Apple again and tell everyone that I know about my experiences with this particular store. All I want is for Apple to do the right thing! Just replace my Macbook Pro like they said they were going to do. They don't have to provide any software updates, just do the right thing and replace my machine!!
    Can anyone tell me if they have had a similar experience and if so, how it was resolved? Who in the corporate office can I talk to about this to get it resolved? Are there and Apple insiders out there that can help me resolve this situation? I would like to avoid having to take legal action if at all possible.

  • Help with start up. new iMac 27" with Marericks installed has been giving me trouble with IDs and passwords.  More than one account downloaded from older Laptop.  Now the computer has the turning wheel in from of gray screen and won't go any further when

    I recently started using my desktop iMac 27" and have been having problems since installing Mavericks, not saying that Mavericks is the problem per se.  I think I have too many accounts with too many names, with too many Apple IDs and too many passwords, email passwords and Apple ID passwords, and keychain passwords, etc.  Can't keep them straight even though I write everything down.  The screen has been making me log in and log out with Account name and passwords after everything I've been doing, also confused about Users and Groups and how to sync everything. I finally just "shut down" everything and the screen was black.  When I turned the computer on again, the circular gear in the middle just kept turning but nothing happened after that.  Then I held the on button in the back until the screen went black again. 
    What should I do?  Is there a way to combine all my accounts into one account with one Apple ID?  I should say that I also have trying to use iCloud and it has different IDs and passwords. Also when I try to log in with one account name, I can't enter anything I write,and when I type on the keyboard, nothing appears on the screen, although I can receive emails, I can't send them. 
    In another account, what I type does appear on the screen, but I think it's an earlier account and doesn't translate aver to the other account. ALTHOUGH i set up iCloud accounts, they don't appear any more.
    Very confused.  Any Ideas about how I can get the computer to start up again and show a new screen?

    If you really believe that your system has been compromised, here's what you do:
    Disconnect your Mac from your cable modem;
    Back up any documents on your system that are important to you;
    Boot your Mac from the system installation disks that came with it (insert the disk, restart your Mac, and hold down the "c" key until you get the "spinning gear" icon);
    Choose a language and click the arrow button to continue;
    From the Utilities menu, choose Disk Utility;
    In Disk Utility, select your computer's hard drive;
    Click the "Erase" tab;
    Click the "Security Options" button and select to have it overwrite all the data on the hard drive;
    Click the "Erase" button and allow it to process;
    Once the "erase process has completed (it will take a while), reinstall Mac OS X.
    Or, if this is too much for you to accomplish on your own, take your system to an Apple Store and have them help you perform these steps. If your system was indeed compromised, this will remove any such hack. You can then set up a new user account for the computer, reinstall your applications (reinstall only from original disks or downloads from the company making the software) and documents, and reconnect to the Internet.
    Note that when you reconnect to the cable modem, you may still get an IP address starting with 198. This is normal with some cable modems and probably not a cause for concern. It will not be an indication that your system is still compromised; that will not be possible if you perform all the above steps.

  • Can anyone help with start up? Or lack there of?

    Something is wrong when starting up my iMac5. I press the power button and it goes no where except to a blank light blue screen with a 1/2x1/2 inch square right in the middle of the screen where it flashes the finder icon and a question mark. The computer is unusable and won't go anywhere. Can anyone help me with this or is this something I have to get repaired?

    Your iMac cannot find the startup disk. Your startup disk did not mount. Somehow, the formatted info cannot be read. Using your Install DVD, run Disk Utility and repair disk then repair disk permissions. It may be necessary to first mount the disk.
    If none of this will work, the disks header info is badly damaged. It will be necessary to format the disk to get it to mount. In this case, this will wipe all the data thats on the disk. You will have to reinstall the OS.
    If you had a second bootable HD or another Mac connected with Firewire, you could first run Data Rescue can extract the data to the other drive before formatting.

  • Help with starting point for "proof of concept" integration

    We are a third party application provider and are attempting to figure out how to do a "proof of concept" integration with SAP.  We are not looking for "certification".  Our product does not appear to fit any of the standard certifications for integration and our experience integrating with other systems indicates that no two integration will be identical.
    We are looking to do a simple integration scenario with an SAP system so we have some basic experience doing it, can say 'Yes" when asked if we have done it, and can create a video showing a transaction being done in SAP and our system also updating (and ideally the reverse).
    Our starting point with respect to SAP knowledge is "0".
    Our basic task list (we think) goes something like
    1.  Figure out the version and modules of SAP with which we should be integrating
    2.  Get access to an SAP system (do we rent, is there a developer/evaluation, ...)
    3.  Put some data in the test system (is there a "sample data" set?)
    4.  Figure out the SAP transactions that map to the business process in which we are interested (moving goods in and out of a distribution center/ware house - are there some "standard business process guides")
    5.  Integrate (we are a .NET web based application so we are guessing this means use the ".Net Connector")
    Could anyone point out any resources (white papers, links, people, places to find people,...) that might be a good starting point?

    We are looking to recieve notifications out of SAP as tractor trailers at a dock are filled as proof on concept.  The actual integration scenarios we do are more complex and do not match well with any of the pre-packaged certification scenarios.  The real world integration scenarios actual vary substantially from customer to customer in terms of the integration points between systems.
    As we have become more marginally knowledgable about SAP, I think we will end up receiving and sending "IDOC" messages from SAP but have no idea what those IDOC messages are or where to start looking for what a "standard" (if there is one) message SAP would generate in reaction to whatever the "trailer is loaded" transaction is.
    To figure out what the transaction is, I assume we need to identify what version of SAP we should be targeting for a simple integration.  Are there any could references on what the commonly integration methods are and to which versions they apply?
    Something like "hey, if you do an integration with a IDOCs in with SAP Netweaver 2004 then that would good proof you could integrate with 90% of the installed SAP base".  Of course, any links explaining what the versions of SAP are and where they are in there lifecycle and what people are actually using would be helpful.

    Here's where my story starts, I've just started out a new year of school and I've been placed in a Computer Science (Higher Level) class, and it so happens that I am to be coding/programming in Java. I've worked with C++ in the past, and I've noticed that Java is quite similar, thankfully.
    This Computer Science class is a two-year course, at the end of the two years I will have an external assessment (IB dossier) due. This gives me tons of time to work on this project, if you haven't noticed by now it will be an on-going project.
    I know this project is going to take some time that's why I would like to start now.

    My project is called "AM" and in the end it will be an "instant messenger" (with your help of course).
    The first thing I would like to establish in this project is creating a server program to accept connections and a client to connect to the server (text based). I would like multiclient connections to the one server program.
    Now here's the question, what should I look into before starting this project, what Java technologies? What resources should I grab from the library or from the book store? Basically I'm asking where I should begin?
    If anyone has any suggestions or even some personal experience with writing a program like this please contact me. I would really appreciate it. Also source code would really help in learning this, but I can probably search that on my own, thanks.

    The easiest way to go about this is to use Sockets. You could also look into using RMI

  • Help with calling a web service on an external system

    All right you Xi gurus, I'm a Basis guy whom has installed XI 3.0 SP13 and now I would like to get setup a fairly "real world" example.  I have read the help section but it kind of hard to follow.  I have followed the demo examples and they somewhat work and I followed the "XI30SP14_SimpleUse.pdf" which showed me how to do a simple file transfer and mapping but a considerable amount of work was done for me.  And yesterday I received the 'SAP Exchange Infrastructure' book from SAP-Press.  Thumbing through the book I see it contains detailed information on the functionality but nothing so far on how to setup the whole process of start to finish.
    Here is what I would like to do...I would like to call an external web service from my R/3 4.6C system via XI.   Could someone help by detailing the general steps of setting this up?  Thanks in advance.

    }the problem is as folowwing in the command prompt when I run the following command I will have no error and the web service work fine:

    but the problem will appear if I send a character in the parametars like this:
    java -jar "C:\updateassetinfo\dist\updateassetinfo.jar" 12367 3456 HC-098
    So any help will be Appreciated

  • Help with starting a Podcast!

    Hello!
    I am wanting to start a podcast, but I am afraid I have no idea exactly how to.. I have spent quite a bit of time researching the easiest most effective way to start a podcast and upload it to Itunes, but in the end just feel more confused..
    SO here is my simple question..
    What do I need to do to start a Podcast and upload it to Itunes? 
    I bought a top of the line microphone, and have been messing around in gargeband to record it, but after that I am completely lost as to the next steps..

    you have to specify what are you going to add to the datapackage internal table (before the append data_package statement).

  • Help with Bios Password Reset Service

    I am trying to use the Bios Password Reset Service for Power On password and Hard Drive Password. The current setting in the Bios is "Enabled, In Progress". The Bios sidebar help tells me that in order to complete registration for this function to open the Create Recovery Media application and "follow instructions". I am lost, there is nothing there about the Password Reset Service. I have already created the Recovery disks and even a Rescue Media disk.
    I have found that in the Client Security Solution application, under the advanced tab there is a "Setup Hardware Password Reset" function but it is greyed out!
    Since this function is available for selection in Bios shouldn't I be able to use it?
    I am using the Windows logon password recovery function in Client Security with no problems.
    Any ideas??

    UPDATE:
    In case anyone cares, I was finally able to figure out how to activate the Hardware Password Reset feature in my T61. Here is the solution, at least in my case:
    1)Found the file in Program Files->Lenovo->Client Security Solution->HwPwReset.exe
    2)Ran the file and followed the instructions
    3)A "Secure Environment" was created in the hardrive and the laptop restarted
    4)The laptop booted into the Secure Environment where I was asked to establish 3 security questions and answers.
    5)The laptop restarted and the status of the Pasword Reset function in BIOS changed to Registered.
    Now if I ever forget the Power-on or Hardrive passwords all I have to do is press F12 on boot-up, select Password Reset option, answer my security questions and voila, passwords are reset or removed. Very nice!
    BTW, I called Lenovo technical support twice and after talking to 3 "techs" and one supervisor they had no clue on how to do this. Go figure!
