HI, about tables used in plm
can any body give me the tables used in sap-plm and the flow of plm.
Hi,
PLM is very huge module in itself, so there no such pre-defined flow in PLM,
yes it is available in CFolders & for CProjects but not for complete PLM,
As PLM involves Material Master, BOM, DMS, ECM/OCM, CAD Integration all these can even be linked to CFolders & CProjects depending on demand of scenarios or requirements.
<u>Flow can be Like</u>
Creation of Material Master
MM01/MM02
> Create/Change of BOM <b>CS01/CS02</b>>Assignment to Classifications (Charaterstics/Class) CL02/CT04 depending on requirements again-> Create/Change DIR (Document Information Records) <b>CV01N/CV02N</b>> CV04N ---> CAD Integration, ECM Cycle can be included for Revisioning/Versioning of these Objects (MM,BOM DIR etc)
i.e. Create/Change ECR/ECO,
CC31/CC32 or CC01/CC02--> assignment of relevant objects (MM,BOM,DIR etc) as per requirments again.
Linking these scenarios with CFolders & CProjects
Process Flow in Cprojects
The project leader creates a project (see Creating a Project Definition).
2. The project leader structures the project by creating phases, checklists with checklist items, and tasks (see Creating a Project).
3. The project leader includes a subproject (see Work with Subprojects).
4. The project leader plans links to business objects (for example, materials, purchase order items, inspection plans, work breakdown structures, networks, and so on). (See Creating an Object Link).
5. The project leader carries out scheduling (see Scheduling).
6. The project leader carries out resource planning (see Project Resource Planning).
7. The project leader starts the calculation of costs and revenues for resources in the connected SAP R/3 system from within cProjects.
8. The system calculates the costs and revenues for resources. This calculation is saved in cProjects and can be displayed there.
9. cProjects makes the project known in SAP R/3 CO.
10. The system generates an internal order as a cost collector for the project.
Once this step has been completed, costing is deleted in cProjects and the data is saved with the cost collector.
11. The project leader creates a snapshot to document the current status of the project (see Creation of Simulations and Snapshots).
12. A project participant creates a control plan for the project (see Creating and Opening a Control Plan).
13. A project participant creates a project status report (see Creating Project Status Reports).
14. A project participant creates business objects in SAP R/3 and assigns them to project elements (see Maintaining an Object Link).
15. A project participant creates documents and assigns them to project elements in cProjects (see Assigning Documents and Creating Folders). He or she also assigns documents to the project in Microsoft® Windows File Explorer (see Integration with Microsoft® Windows File Explorer).
16. A project participant carries out the Design Collaboration with cFolders scenario.
17. A project participant processes tasks and checklist items and confirms them (see Confirming Tasks or Confirming Checklist Items).
18. Project participants confirm the progress of the project to the projects cost collector in regular intervals.
19. A project participant carries out evaluations (see Creating and Displaying Evaluations).
20. A project participant uploads project data to the SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) to create cross-project reports there.
21. The project leader names a substitute (see Substitute).
22. The project leader creates a simulation of the operational project (see Creation of Simulations and Snapshots).
23. The project leader reconciles the simulation with the operational project (see Reconciliation and Comparison of Versions).
24. The project leader starts the approval process (see Beginning an Approval).
25. Period-end closing is carried out for the cost collector.
This activity is repeated periodically during the course of the project.
26. The decision makers approve the phase (see Granting or Rejecting Individual Approvals).
27. Once all phases have been approved the project is complete.
28. The project leader archives the project (see Archiving).
29. The project leader closes the cost collector and archives it.
Hope you are clear,
Regards
Rehman

Load XML File into temporary tables using sql loader
Hi All,
I have an XML file as below. I need to insert the contents into a temporary staging table using sql loader. Please advice how I need to do that.
For example Portfolios should go into a seperate table, and all the tags inside it should be populated in the columns of the table.
Family should go into a seperate table and all the tags inside it should be populated in the columns of the table.
Similarly offer, Products etc.

#1 - {thread:id=474031}, which is basically storing the XML in an Object Relational structure for parsing
#2 - Dump the XML into either an XMLType based table or column and use SQL (with XMLTable) to create a view that parses the data. This would be the same as the view shown in the above post.
Don't use sql*loader to parse the XML. I was trying to find a post from mdrake about that but couldn't. In short, sql*loader was not build as an XML parser so don't try to use it that way. -
Adding data to multiple tables using one form in Access 2010?
Hi All,
I have a access database with two tables and I want to create a single form to enter data into that tables.
How to adding data to multiple tables using one form in Access 2010?
I don't have to much knowledge of access database?
Please help me
Thanks
BalajiYou really don't enter identical data into 2 tables. You enter dat into one single table, and then you have an unique identifier that maps to another table (you have a unique relationship between two tables).
Maybe you need to read this.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/access-help/database-design-basics-HA001224247.aspx
Think about it this way... What is you update data in 2 tables, and then the data in one of those tables changes, but the data in the other table does NOT change. WHOOPS!! Now, you've got a BIG problem. For instance, you have a customer
named Bill Gates. In one Table you update Bill's address to 1835 73rd Ave NE, Medina, WA 98039 and in the other table you accidentally update Bill's address to 183 73rd Ave NE, Medina, WA 98039. Now you have 2 addresses for Bill. Why would
you want that??? Which is right? No one knows. If you have one address, you just have to update one address and if there is a mistake, you just have to update one address, but you don't have to waste time trying to figure out which is right
and which is wong...and then update the one that is wrong.
Post back with specific questions.
Knowledge is the only thing that I can give you, and still retain, and we are both better off for it. -
ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using Data Services
Hello,
we are facing ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using BO Data services
(Oracle 10g database, BODS Xi 3.2 SP3)
Test Job performs
1- truncate table
2- load table (tested in standard and bulk load modes)
Scenario when issue happens is:
1- Run loading Job
2- Job end in error for any Oracle data base error
3- When re-running the same Job, Job fails with following error
ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified
It seems after first failure, Oracle session for loading the table stays active and locks the table.
To be able to rerun the Job, we are forced need to kill Oracle session manually to be able to run the Job again.
Expected behaviour would be : on error rollback modifications made on table and BODS stops Oracle session in a clean way.
Can somebody tell me / or point me to any BODS best practice about Oracle error handling to prevent such case?
Thanks in advance
Paul-Mariethe ora-0054 can occure depending how the job failed before. If this occures you will need the DBA to release the lock on the table in question
Or
AL_Engine.exe on The server it creates the Lock. Need to Kill Them. Or stop it..
This Problem Occurs when we select The Bulkloading Option in orclae We also faced the same issue,Our admin has Killed the session. Then everything alright. -
Parsing query and getting list of tables used
Hi All,
I require to parse sql query (simple & complex as well) and to get the list of tables used in the query.
And need to validate that, the list of tables against a whitelist to maintained in the file.
I tried to write my own parser, since there are lots possible ways to write complex queries, i am unable to cover all the scenarios.
I require a help, Is there any other ways to get the list of tables used in a query?
Thanks,

You'll never cover all scenarios by trying to parse a query.
For example, what about a query that queries views and those views query pipelined functions, and those pipelined functions query other views or tables or pipelined functions etc.
And what about a query that dynamically obtains the table names, such as...
SQL> select
2 table_name,
3 to_number(
4 extractvalue(
5 xmltype(
6 dbms_xmlgen.getxml('select count(*) c from '||table_name))

.. in this case the tables being accessed (to count their rows) are not even known within the code, they are dynamically generated queries at run-time, so the only way to know what tables are accessed is to actually run the query.
Of course, a well designed system, with proper documentation and version control would allow you to take any database object and know where and what is using it, and whether it's even being used. -

Can you please send me the querySELECT [column list] FROM ALL_DEPENDENCIES;
What to put in [column list] is left as an exercise for the student. Clues can be found be reading the very good description of ALL_DEPENDENCIES in the fine Reference Manual.

I don't want to be flippant or rude, but if people want to be professionals in ANY field, the first knowledge they need to acquire is how to locate AND USE+ the fundamental reference materials for that profession. And the most important trait, the one for which they are really hired, is the ability to do independent research, and having a modicum of curiosity that would drive one to do that research. We don't mind helping newbies, and even the most experienced person on this board will run into something they are not familiar with, or occasionally just require a second set of eyes to look at something. But a professional+ needs, above all, a willingness and capability to check the docs. A professional isn't necessarily someone who has all the answers at their fingertips or has a full understanding about every arcane subject in their field. It certainly isn't someone who has an encyclopedia full of memorized answers but little understanding of how it all fits together. It's someone who knows where to find the answers when needed, how to recognize them when he sees them. It's less about knowing than it is about attitude. Everything you asked can be answered in the Oracle Concepts Manual at tahiti.oracle.com. You should bookmark that site. You were told the name of the view that has the information you seek. It is not an unreasonable assumption that anyone who comes to this forum knows how to write simple SQL. It is also NOT unreasonable to expect a a professional to be able to take a clue like that and use it. A professional does NOT expect to be spoon-fed everything.
=================================================
Learning how to look things up in the documentation is time well spent investing in your career. To that end, you should drop everything else you are doing and do the following:
Go to tahiti.oracle.com.
Drill down to your product and version.
<b><i><u>BOOKMARK THAT LOCATION</u></i></b>
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what is available here. Take special note of the "books" and "search" tabs. Under the "books" tab you will find the complete documentation library.
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what <b><i><u>kind</u></i></b> of documentation is available there by simply browsing the titles under the "Books" tab.
Open the Reference Manual and spend a few minutes looking through the table of contents to get familiar with what <b><i><u>kind</u></i></b> of information is available there.
Do the same with the SQL Reference Manual.
Do the same with the Utilities manual.
You don't have to read the above in depth. They are <b><i><u>reference</b></i></u> manuals. Just get familiar with <b><i><u>what</b></i></u> is there to <b><i><u>be</b></i></u> referenced. Ninety percent of the questions asked on this forum can be answered in less than 5 minutes by simply searching one of the above manuals.
Then set yourself a plan to dig deeper.
- Read a chapter a day from the Concepts Manual.
- Take a look in your alert log. One of the first things listed at startup is the initialization parms with non-default values. Read up on each one of them (listed in your alert log) in the Reference Manual.
- Take a look at your listener.ora, tnsnames.ora, and sqlnet.ora files. Go to the Network Administrators manual and read up on everything you see in those files.
- When you have finished reading the Concepts Manual, do it again.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.

Replace words with images, in a table, using the search/replace tool
Hello everybody
I have a question:
Is it possible to replace words with images, in a table, using the search/replace tool?
My case:
I have a table with about 9000 articles on about 400 pages. In this table there are words which I like to replace with Logos.
Example: The word "DM" should be the Logo "DM" (.eps). This word is about 1200 times in this table.
Is it possible to replace it automatically?
Thank you very much for your helb.
Kind regards AlexHello Mr. Werner

Tables using Oracle Identity Manager 11g
Good evening friends,
I have a query about the tables used by Identity Manager 11g.
There is some document that tells me the tables used by Oracle Identity Manager 11g, and how they are linked.
Very grateful for your helpThis does not exist for 11g. Only 9.x has a database diagram. Most the tables are the same, it's just the request side that is new due to the SOA integration.

Query a table using Multi Select Item
Hi everyone!
I got a page where I have this multiselect item, and I want to query a table using its values.
For example: The Multiselect item has this values: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10
And I want to query every person who has ID_CLASS 1,4,7 and 9 by selecting those IDs from the list, and when I click que Consult button the Report displays those persons.
Whowever I can't accomplish this, I was trying to find a post about this without success.
Can anybody help me with this?
Thanks!!Hi,
This is my problem, I select 2 or more options in the multiple select item, then after I click the "Consult" buttom it submits the page, however only 1 option is highlighted. For example I choose the first two options, then I click Consult and the page is submitted. After that only one of the 2 options are selected, but I need to get the 2 options highlighted as selected items.
If I clear cache I think I'll lost everything. (selected items)
Thanks again! -
