is to turn off wifi when you do not need it. When I leave the house I turn off wifi, because the majority of the times when my iPhone has got very hot and crashed is when I am away from home. I suspect that if the iPhone is in the vicinity of public wifi (wheather secure or not secure) it will try and connect, even if you have 'automatically join known networks' set to off. This is easy of course if you have an unlimited data contract for your iPhone. I may be wrong, but it is working for me. It makes sense for me because it is another way of reducing the work the processor (and battery) has to do and therefore reduces the chance of overheating.
Having said that, I never had this problem with my iPhone 4. I now have a 4S.

SInce I loaded the creative cloud software my MacBook Pro keeps shutting down. Is there a reason for this?
There is not one specific program that it shuts down in, random shut downs and I could be in an Adobe application or another program. It may be be a coincidence, but my shut downs seems to have started after I installed Adobe's Creative Cloud. Apple now has my laptop exploring what may be causing my issues. Their first reaction was that it could be some sort of software conflict. I'm waiting on their diagnosis.

USB connection to iTunes. Back up your 3GS with your last 3GS back up. DON'T use an iPhone 4 back up or higher. It will cause exactly this.

iPhone 4 battery goes to 50% and iPhone shuts down. I have to charge it to power back on. any ideas as to why this is happening?
You may want to try this:
1. Backup iPad
2. Setup iPad as new. Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings
3. Test iPad thoroughly
4. If everything is fine, restore backup to iPad -
Need help finding out what happened to my phone and what I can do. After trying to update my iPhone 3GS to IOS 5 my phone will no longer work and is an unknown device to any computer. It is like it wiped out everything on the iPhone and has no hardware or data on it. At the end of the download and update of IOS 5 it said there was an error during the process and gave me no option but to push ok and know phone is not working. The screen shows the USB plug and iTunes symbol, but computers will not recognize device.

When i tried updating my iphone 4 to the latest IOS version 7.1.1 it was updating until the end of the update where it had an icon which said connect to itunes. When i try connecting to itunes on my laptop it still doesnt program, by the way my itunes has the latest updae. Why is this? How can i fix it?

It sounds like you had been updating the phone and now it is in recovery mode. Take a look at this info first:
If you started your device in recovery mode by mistake, restart it to exit recovery mode. Or you can just wait—after 15 minutes the device will exit recovery mode by itself.

When I started my iMac today, it started beeping like an alarm horn. I shut it down, and held the startup button a little longer to get it to start. Shortly after starting up, a dark 'film' slowly comes down over the screen and I get a message saying I have to shut down the computer. I've tried to start from the disk, and before I can even run a repair off utilities, it happens again. What's up? Am I screwed? HELP!!
What you are seeing is a kernel panic, often but not always connected with a hardware or peripheral issue, so, unplug everything except mouse and keyboard, reboot and hold the shift key as soon as your hear the chime, continue holding it until you see the Apple Icon and spinning progress indicator, then post back.
It will take noticeably longer than normal to start. -
I've already deauthorized my computer once this year and i need to deauthorize it again and it says wait year. well i dont have a year is there snd way i can do it now?
I am having the exact same issue, I have had many issues with this Ipod touch ever since I got it, lately it usually is just that the charge holds for about 20 minutes then dies. Now I used my ipod last night and it worked perfectly and now all of a sudden I woke up this morning took the ipod out of my docking station and the same problem has happened. I even took my ipod into work to see if it was my home wifi, but no the issue is still happening. Let me know if you found a solution. I use my ipod touch for alot of home web browsing and social networks. Do not have the cash right now to buy another one or get this one fixed. Thanks

I am first time using iPhone for business purpose and wondering why I am getting charged again and again, if I logout from AppStore. Last time, I had reset my phone setting and system logged me out. When I tried to download an app, system prompted me to verify my userid and card details. Nowhere, it has been said why this charges has been imposed. It's really stupid. Please help.. TIA!

The troubleshooting response was for the other poster. I gave you information to contact iTunes. You should not be charged for anything as I said earlier unless the app you are downloading has a cost. Once you pay once, you do not pay again. Contact iTunes if your credit card is being charged. You do not mention that you have seen any charges on your account, just that it has asked you for your payment information more than once. Just asking for the information does not automatically charge you. PLEASE, go to the link that I gave you to contact iTunes.

With iOS 7 and certain apps I get a message that ask me to connect to iTunes to receive notifications. After clicking "OK", it comes back repeatedly and freezes the App: Friends, Dropbox, among others. The only way to escape is to shut down and restart. I think this is a "bug" with older apps. How can I solve it in orther to use the apps? It doesn´t occur with my iPad, only with my iPhone 5.

My iPad frequently locks up, even after updating to iOS 7.1. When it locks up it's nonresponsive to the home button and the only remedy is to force a shut down and reboot. Help!

Dear all,
I have had problems with the internet connection with my IPhone 5. I have tried to restore the software to see if that would make a difference.
I have tried now for at least 10 times to restore the software. The phone is locked now in restore mode, and when I get to the end of the restore to verify with the server, i get a consistent unknown error message. Sometimes is says my phone cannot be found.
The phone has the connect to Itunes on the screen and cannot be used.
I am running out of patience now....need urgent help!!

I can not import mailbox in Mail
Has anyone had trouble importing a mailbox in Mail? I try to do the process, but with some boxes to import does not happen. The message is that everything worked out, but they do not enter the Imported folder. Thank you.
