Please recommend me a database which could support unicode and whose installation would not be cumbersome(difficult) for me because once i have make hard try on oracle9i installation.
but outcome was no more than wastage of time.Please if you have temperament to fully guide me untill success than kindly reply this thread.I can install oracle 8.
I have read from its help that it has multilingual support but i do not know how to get this support.I have checked my oracle8 database and it is supporting we8iso8559pk(this type of thing probable).

you can try using Microsoft SQL server 2000
while installation u have to enable unicode support.
it is easier as compared to installing oracle.

Hello, I am in the process uf upgrading database installation scripts so they will support Unicode. I just want to clarify that by changing the Character set to say for example AL32UTF8 and the National Character Set to UTF8 the database will then be able to support Unicode. Do I need to also change all the VARCHAR2 and CHAR2 data types to NVARCHAR2 and CHAR2? When changing the character sets do the database then default to bytes instead of characters for multibyte character storage? Thank you.

You would not want a situation where some clients have a database character set of AL32UTF8 and are storing the data in CHAR/ VARCHAR2 columns and some clients have a non-Unicode database character set, a Unicode national character set, and store their Unicode data in NCHAR/ NVARCHAR2 columns (I'm assuming from the context that you are some sort of application vendor here so that different clients are trying to run the same application). That would massively increase the complexity of your application code and make testing & supporting the application substantially more difficult.
If at all possible, it is preferable to change the database character set to Unicode for existing databases. This may involve exporting & importing some or all of the data or it may be possible online (there is a chapter in the Globalization Support document that covers character set migration and the various options you have).
Storing data in NCHAR/ NVARCHAR2 columns should generally be a last resort (unless you really know what you are doing and want to leverage different Unicode encodings). You are likely to cause yourself all sorts of headaches trying to support national character set data types.

From example of Oracle I belive, that your RDBMS has to support Unicode. Another option is to store your Unicode as binary object. But this has to be hard :(

Click here and download the software. Unless otherwise noted, a device running iOS 6 requires at least Mac OS X 10.5.8 and iTunes 10.6.3 to be synced from a Mac.

No worries. Apple will continue to support your phone. By "discontinued", they just mean that they are not selling new ones anymore. You will still be able to get IOS7, you will still be able to get support and service, you will still be able to buy apps and music, use FaceTime, Mail, Messages.....
Nothing has changed except that you can't buy a new one....

How to hide not all but a specific database on a SQL Server 2008 R2 instance?

I need help from all the SQL Server database security experts out there. Any solution/help or work-around will be really appreciated. Here is the scenario; our client is using our application which is a windows forms application
having in backend as a database under SQL Server 2008 R2 instance. We have successfully installed the SQL Server software with mixed mode authentication on client side, our application is running smoothly and everything is working fine. Our database on which
application is running is quite intuitive, in the sense, all employees information is stored in EmployeeMaster and all departments information is stored in DepartmentMaster and so on. It consists of more than 500 such tables, stored-procedures and views. We
have encrypted stored-procedures and views, problem is only with tables.
We don't want table structure to be visible to anybody in SSMS (or tables must be hidden from all the users) but at the same time the tables should be accessible from the application. And we don't want to go with the option of encrypting
the tables data and changing the names of all the tables to T001,T002..etc. as that is not feasible. And one last thing, we cannot restrict 'sa' login's password, it has to be shared with the client.

The other reason is that you don't want the client to change it, and then open a free support case when he has messed up. To this end there are some technical approaches you can take to detect such tampering. For instance, you can sign all stored procedures
with certificates using ADD SIGNATURE WITH SIGNED BLOB, and then ship only the public key of the certificate. This permits SQL Server to verify the signature, but the client cannot change the signature and sign it with that certificate, because the private
key is not available to them.

All I want is access to my datebook - be able to read appointments, create/edit/delete them - thats all!
I've been playing with SuperWaba and its old parent, Waba. I must conclude that both projects are dead and not working at all. SuperWaba actually gave me something of a Datebook but I could not read back all appointments and categories where not supported.
I had my Palm T3 for years now and so far I've only been disappointed by the options I can squeeze out of it. I gave up on using bluetooth from within Java as this seems utter impossible as well (thanks for the non working api) and now it seems like after all this time and multiple updates of all the API's there still isn't a way to access the internal databases on a PDA...
Please someone, tell me I am missing a package or class somewhere that allows me to do what I want - access my databook. I'm this close to giving up all together and getting a WinCE machine and drop Java as my prefered programming language...

It works fine over Wireless when I click on Airport Base Station Agent and select Time Capsule. It shows up as drive Z about 30 seconds after that. I checked and NetBIOS over TCP/IP is already enabled. I tired disabling it and trying and re-enabling it and trying and neither made a difference.
When I plug the Ethernet cable into the computer I get a dialog box after a few minutes that says:
+The Airport Disk 'Time Capsule' became available. What do you want to do?+
+__ Ignore+
+__ Connect with password+
Then I get the spinning wait wheel for a few minutes followed by the following error message:
+Could not connect to the disk. Make sure NetBIOS is enabled and try again (53).+
When connected via Ethernet it shows up as "unidentified network" under the network status icon in the Vista status bar.

Hello,
MS SQL Server Enterprise Software is the supported one.
First check with service.sap.com/pam to verify the support version (2000/2005/2008R2). Then check with Installation Guides for SAP, there you will see only the database software required is Enterprise Edition.

I can't install or uninstall iTunes on my laptop. I've followed all the steps on Apple Support as well as Microsoft support. I get the error "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Pick an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi". This has been going on for a couple of weeks now and I'm very frustrated. From what I can see, I'm not the only one with this problem, but I have yet to see anyone post a solution that works. Microsoft wants to charge me $99 to troubleshoot it for me and Apple will charge $20. I think both are ridiculous as this is obviously not "operator error".

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. I am getting an error message "All available connections to database server are in use by other client machines. Please try again later and check the log file for error 5054" when trying to log into HRC (This user has the reporting capabilities) . I checked the log files this is what i found out
The log file stated that there were ongoing connections of HRC with the CCX (I am sure there isn't any active login to HRC)

What is the OS version of the PC you are running and is it physical machine or virtual machine that is running the HRC client ..
OS Version Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and it’s a physical machine.
. The Max DB Connections for Report Client Sessions is set to 5 for each servers (There are two servers). The no of HR Sessions is set to 10.

We have had this "PRX5" problem with Exchange 2013 since the RTM version. We recently applied CU3, and it did not correct the problem. We have seen this problem on every Exchange 2013 we manage. They are all installations where all roles
are installed on the same Windows server, and in our case, they are all Windows virtual machines using Windows 2012 Hyper-V.
We have tried all the "this fixed it for me" solutions regarding DNS, network cards, host file entries and so forth. None of those "solutions" made any difference whatsoever. The occurrence of the temporary error PRX5 seems totally random.
About 2 out of 20 incoming mail test by Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer fail with this PRX5 error.
Most people don't ever notice the issue because remote mail servers retry the connection later. However, telephone voice mail systems that forward voice message files to email, or other such applications such as your scanner, often don't retry and
simply fail. Our phone system actually disables all further attempts to send voice mail to a particular user if the PRX5 error is returned when the email is sent by the phone system.
Is Microsoft totally oblivious to this problem?
PRX5 is a serious issue that needs an Exchange team resolution, or at least an acknowledgement that the problem actually does exist and has negative consequences for proper mail flow.

The bootcamp drivers have been downloaded from apple's website. Filename: BootCamp5.0.5033
I have a iMac 27" late 2013 model.
NOTE: I have downloaded the drivers manually from apples support site as the bootcamp wizard fails third of the way through the download.
Appreciate any assistance.

There is a missing point in this thread, and it is that the Boot Camp drivers for the Late 2013 iMac can only be downloaded from Boot Camp Assistant. The Boot Camp drivers available in the Apple site are not compatible with that iMac.
Delete the Boot Camp drivers from the USB drive, open Boot Camp Assistant and try to download the Boot Camp drivers again. If you get a message telling you that they could not be downloaded, I would try reinstalling OS X through OS X Recovery, by holding down Command and R keys while your Mac is starting up

I thought I was creating free space by erasing free space using disk utility but what I really did was literally ERASE MY FREE SPACE on my Macbook Pro 10.8.4 and all I want to know is what to do to recover my free space?

When I click on ABOUT THIS MAC and then on STORAGE it shows that I have like 700 gb of "OTHER" in yellow and all I want is for the yellow to disappear and have all my free space again! please someone help me

Your free space hasn't gone anywhere. This is simply the initial result of the process. However, your free space should be there once you need to use it.

Newbie ques : How to get the list of all tables in the database

Hi,
I'm very new to Oracle (using Oracle8i currently). I wanted to know if there is a way to get the list of all tables in the database. Like in mySQL you can use the command " show tables" to get the list of all the tables.
Any help will e greatly appreciated. Please "cc" any reply to [email protected] also.

Select table_name, owner from all_tables;
will give u all the tables in the database.
all_tables, dba_tables, user_tables
all_objects, dba_objects, dba_objects
there are many, more tables. login as system and query the tab and try to describe the tables.
