I have total value total = 500 this value i want append in last .

Use AT END OF statement and do SUM for that field in itab.
and move that values to a separate internal table.
Itab will have individual values for a particular field
itab1 will have the field and the SUM.
Loop at itab.
read itab1. with the first field.
append/modify to the ITAB as last record.
endloop..

Hi,
First check if your 0matl_group is activated.
As you said 5000 records in 0matl_group. but those would be repeat values. In RSH1, you will see only unique values while insertion. There will be very few uniqiue values.

I need help with inserting values using merge.
* I need to check all the units in a parent category. For example, NF_ARTICLECATEGORYID = 7462 is a parent category.
* Im going to compare all the units in the parent category(7642) to the units in a subcategory (8053).
* If the units in parent category(7642) is not present in the subcategory(8053) then the units will be inserted in the same table.

i got an error after running the script:
*Cause:    An UPDATE or INSERT statement attempted to insert a duplicate key.
For Trusted Oracle configured in DBMS MAC mode, you may see
this message if a duplicate entry exists at a different level.
*Action:   Either remove the unique restriction or do not insert the key.
why would it be duplicated? its a sequence and its unique.. I dont know, maybe there is something wrong my script..

1. What is the current value of the Sequence? Does the current value of sequence exist in the table? If yes, then increment the sequence to a value that is not present in the Table.
2. Do you have any unique constraint on any of the columns that you are inserting?
I have to ask you again, Why are you insisting on Merge statement when a simple Insert can do the job for you? Don't you feel that the below specified Merge statement is making things look more Complicated than they actually are, do you?
Think on it and then proceed. I hope these pointers help you to resolve the issue.

How to receive parameters from a form and insert values in db using servlet

This is the basic code structure and I'm trying to figure out this special case with handling the multiple parameters:
1. I dont' want to use String []a=request.getParameterValues("studentname"); as hard code. The reason being the number of rows will be diyamic and I would like to get the column name and then then use an array of string to take values. But how can I connect these to form a query so that the rows goes on inserted one after other.

When I pass values from my java code through JDBC to this store procedure, how can I insert values from the "p_item_tbl" table object into ITEM table?

Inserted value too large for column error while scheduling a job

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to schedule a PL SQL script as a job in my Oracle 10g installed and running on Windows XP.
While trying to Submit the job I get the error as "Inserted value too large for column:" followed by my entire code. The code is correct - complies and runs in Oracle ApEx's SQL Workshop.
The size of my code is 4136 character, 4348 bytes and 107 lines long. It is a code that sends an e-mail and has a +utl_smtp.write_data([Lots of HTML])+
There is no insert statement in the code whatsoever, the code only queries the database for data...
Any idea as to why I might be getting this error??

I spoke to my MDM team and they say there is no validation which they have put for Reference Price field. I have tried inserting values in another field of type qualified lookup in the same main table and that works without any issue.

Hi Aamod,
Sees that some validation/assignments are getting triggered as soon as you make changes to the record in MDM. Please check once after removing validations/workflow that you may have. This way you may debug the issue.

How to insert values in table using ADF Task flow? I am not able to bind CreateInsert on my first page fragement

In Jdeveloper 12c I am trying to create a task flow where I have taken 3 pages to insert values in a table. On first page when I put data control of 2 columns as input with label, then on bindings tab I created an action as CreateInsert.
Now when I am trying to create invoke action in executables then this option is not available.
How can I create this task flow where values can be inserted in the table on the 3rd page fragment on commit button???
All 3 pages have data control input boxes to insert values in the table.

Right click on the task flow page activity, click create page def and add there. If your activity is a page, then you can select the page and generate the pagedef as well.
Then you can add the executables.

         I want to insert value in ABC table .i can't understand how to assign 'DocEntry' column value
i am using

You have to register your UDO first. Then you can use this code for inserting values

I have a table "xyz" with two columns.

The columns id is null and has no constraints.
I need now to insert values in id just like

Inserting values into multiple tables in one jsf page with single commit op

hi all,
i have two tables ,
one is parent table and other is child record.
record details:
table1:(parent table)
emplid (primary key)
empl_name
table 2:(child table)
empl id ( Foreign key)
empl_name ( Foreign key)
contact_no (primary key)
my senario is , i need insert values into both parent and child table in one save option.
and both the tables will be in one jsf page.
is this possible to do?

hi,
i feel my question is not clear.
let me explain my question clearly.
1. i have two records
*1. emp_names*
attributes of this table is 1.emplid
2.emp_name.
emplid is a primary key.
2. emp_contact
attributes of this table is 1.emplid
2. contact_no
In this table emplid is forigen key from emp_name table
contact_no is primary key.
and my senerio is,
for one emplid there are many contact no.
in database diagram i have created these two entities. and from that i have generated two views objects.
now in jsf page ,
i shd have all fields from both the records.
wn ever i click on add button , i shd be able to insert one complete row of data to both the tables.
means,
emplid
empl_name
contact_no.
and if i click on commit button data shd be insert in both the tables.
so how to achive this?
am very beginner to the jdeveloper tool.

Insert value in WWWDATA table for sending picture in body of email

.Requrement: Send image in the body of the email.
I am using cl class to sending email and Function module WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT requre values from table WWWDATA and WWWPARAMS.
I have image file need to be used in email body for the same i want to entry in the table wwwdata and wwwparams so that they can be used to fetch url detail.
I am not able to insert value in wwwdata. Anybody having idea about it.

To display the image in other systems you will have to store the image in SMWO(SAP Web Repository)
Then call the function WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT .

How to insert values into an array of class

Hello everyone,
I need help in inserting values into an array of class, which i have read from a file.
Length of the array is 5. I should insert values one by one into that array.
If the array is full (if count = 5), then I should split the array into 2 arrays
and adjust the values to left and right with median.
I'm getting an ArrayBoundException .. can anybody help me out ?

The best way to insert values in a Nested Table

I want to insert values from a SQL-query in a Nested Table.What's the best way to do it?
In addition,the only way that I've found is doing a query and when I've got the query result I insert it into the Nested Table.For instance:
