I need to remove more than 300 clipping masks that created in InDesign Clipping Path by Detect Edges
Will be glad any advice for decreasing time of this process ))

You can script it. This AppleScript (OSX only) would remove all of the clipping paths in the active document:
tell application "Adobe InDesign CC 2014"
set clipping type of clipping path of all graphics of active document to none
end tell

How to create Clipping Masks with Shapes and Text?

Hi there! I am new to Illustrator and am currently attempting to learn it. I am creating a logo that has text and has a shape that goes through the text to make the text appear as if it has claw marks in it.
I have two layers. The layer with the shape "claw" marks, and a layer with the text. The shape layer is currently above and the text layer is currently below. If I select both layers and click on Make Clipping Mask it has the text displayed within the little claw marks, how do I reverse that? Because when I try to change the order of the layers it doesn't clip anything?

Sorry for taking so long to reply... This is what I am trying to accomplish. I tried following your directions above, but that only made the text invisible and I tried moving the claw layers above and below the text... and it only appeared as if the claws per se were filling up with the text color.

Hey there guys, any help would be greatly appreciated. Im making a logo for a client and am having a nightmare of a time trying to properly use the clipping masks in illustrator CS5. I copied and pasted the logo I made behind itself with a different color just for a drop shadow-like effect. And now I'm trying to apply this diagonal line pattern I created over top the "shadow" I made to give it some texture.
Here's an example of what I'm going for, only imagine the line pattern on the text instead of banner

As I (mis)understand it, you can either keep the Type live (or outline it) and:
1) Create one copy of the pattern for each Type object (this will give you the opportunity of having different(ly coloured) patterns;
2) For each Type object, select the type object and one of the patterns and Object>Clipping Path>Make;
or you can:
1) Select both Type objects and Type>Create Outlines, then Object>Compound Path>Make;
2) Select the compound object and the pattern and Object>Clipping Path>Make.

IPhone: How do you clip/mask a UIView?

I need to mask a UIView (add rounded corners etc) but can't seem to work out how.
On the desktop i'd look at adding a mask to the CALayer but it seems the iPhone SDK excludes the functionality.
Any ideas on how I can achieve the result?
p.s. I have no control over the content being rendered in the view (user submitted images)

OK, I get it now. One way I can think of is to build your view as you do now with square corners but don't add to the parent view yet. Then you can create a graphics context and setup a clipping region in the new context with round corners. Then you can draw your view into this context. Then extract an image from the context. Now you use this image to display to the user instead of the original view you created behind the scenes.
Here's code I used to convert an arbitrary view into an image. All you need to do is add the clipping code to create the rounded corners.

Original question: I've been heavily trimming vocal/real bass guitar parts. And at the beginning of the track, there's a blip, or one-second clip, where you can tell I trimmed the part. Is there a way to get rid of/hide this?
The thread closed so I'm making this new one. I tried the link mentioned in the original thread, but it just said to drag the clip left or right. That didn't solve the problem. The boarder from that thread also said something about "zooming in at a zero-cross," and that's what I'm following up on now. Can someone expand on this? How do I do it?

if you think of a sine wave, there is +, 0, and -, above, at, and below the zero cross line which you see in the waveform ... the middle is zero. if the waveform is cut at a point above or below zero there will be a "click"
GB is not an audio editor, so it's not a perfect tool for finding the zero cross line. zooming in can help, but an audio editor that can zoom in to the "byte level" is the best tool for editing audio:

However, in the PLUS column for the Transform Panel/Palette (who knows when to refer to these as what?) the previewing is just as good as the Scale "preview" because they both respond in the same manner to stepped input, and there's no analogue input in either of them.
Which, in a roundabout way, is me questioning the sanity of the Illustrator designers that haven't included a live, analogue preview feature for scaling, skew, distortion, etc. It's as if the mouse doesn't exist. And, in all fairness, it probably didn't the first time Illustrator was conceived. But it's been a few years since then

How to remove value from pop list in iProcurement Page

I need to remove a value from POP list. How can I do this? Can I do this using Perosnalization?
While creating requisition in the approvers page there are two buttons one is Approvers and another is Add_Attachments.
When I click Add_Attachments button it will open another page there I need enter description and select category from the pop list and define attachment.
In the category list I need to remove one value. How do i do this.Personalization links not available in this page.
Please help guys...

First you need to find out the data source for the category pop list. Based on that we can suggest how to achieve that requirement as there are many different ways of specifying the data source for a pop list.

How to remove haute look ad on top of page when I do a search in safari?

Help. There is a Haute look advertisement at the top of every page I open. It has an x to close it but it won't work. How do I remove it and stop it from returning?

Try settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data. Then close Safari and reboot the iPad.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Safari app then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

How to remove pause from Text Entry Box

Saw a discussion on this in the archives, but didn't exactly address what I was hoping. Basically I'm hoping to use a Text Entry box to allow a user to save notes for the project. Yes, I know that there is a notes widget, but I'm not a fan of it. Is there a way to remove the automatic pausing of the TEB? Or is there something else someone else has done to allow users to take notes rather than the Notes widget?

Hopefully I'm not missing something, but other buttons and such have a checkbox next to the "Pause After" portion of timing. TEB boxes do not seem to have this and indeed, even if I set it to 0 or whatever, it just defaults to 0.1 seconds.
I'm hoping to try and use the text I collect from their notes added into this TEB to be able to display at a final review slide before a quiz. Not sure if it's going to work, but I don't want to force a user to use the notes box, hence the disabling of a pause.
I'm open to other ideas of how to allow taking notes without using the notes widget. If there's anything better.

How to remove glitched nameless app install box?

Hello.
Recently updated my mother's iPad (The New one) to 8.3 from whatever iOS version it was shipped with (it was never updated before). Had to do so only because it was in an endless reboot loop for some reason (maybe due to having way too many apps installed), ending up in restore mode at best. After restoring it from iCloud backup, there's one app that just stuck and won't let me delete it by any means. It's nameless. Literally. When clicking on X button, the confirmation popup has only an empty pair of «». It also has no name after rebooting the device (which fixes its being on "waiting", leaving just empty gray box).
What doesn't work:
- obviously, normal way of deleting via X (which is there, but pressing it has no effect on the app)
- as listed above, rebooting, even by holding Power+Home for hard reboot
- connecting to iTunes and removing it from app managing screen - there's no X on it there
- restoring from iCloud copy again - it *returns* in exact same state, even when using fresh backup
- exiting app store account, rebooting and then logging in again
My guess is this was one of the oldest apps that is no longer on AppStore and/or no longer compatible with the device, while still listed in iCloud backup, but can be wrong on that. There was a hellish ton of free apps installed, my mom pretty much installed everything she could for free and almost never deleted anything, collecting over 1000 apps.
Would appreciate any ideas. Even though it's not that important, but I've been determined to clear this mess, removing 90% of that collection, and this ghost app just keeps bugging me.
Going with clear install without iCloud restore is way to dangerous to even think about. Because, y'know, game progress, millions of cat photos... the loss of that can't possibly be forgiven.

You could try to make a backup in iTunes, and then restore from iTunes.
