Hi, How to save UTF-8 encoded string into Mysql DB with jdbc?

Mysql doesn't support UTF-8, right? is there any way we can bridge it?

Hi,
By using the latest versions of MySql and mm mysql jdbc drivers you can
read and write unicode characters from/into MySql database. You can download
mm.mysql jdbc driver from http://mmmysql.sourceforge.net/
We haven't tested this jdbc driver officially.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck.

  • How to save the material of MM01 into MARA table with customer Distribution

    Hi to everyone.
    This is first project of mine.
    There is some modification in TC VA01.
    We should write a code in standard program. I'll show the Enhancement below.
    Our Client wants to move the material distribution channel (M.DC) to customer's distribution channel (C.DC) if Customer Sales Organization and Material Sales Organization are equal.
    IF ( Customer Sales Organization and Material Sales Organization are equal)
    check for there distribution channel whether its equal.
    If ( C. Dc and M.Dc) are equal.
    some process.
    else (c.Dc not equal to m. Dc)
    Move (M.Dc to C. Dc)
    follow the same process.
    Where do we have to  add this enhancement in the program.
    Please help me out, its very urgent.
    Thanks and Regards in advance.

  • How to get UTF-8 encoding when create XML using DBMS_XMLGEN and UTL_FILE ?

    How to get UTF-8 encoding when create XML using DBMS_XMLGEN and UTL_FILE ?
    Hi,
    I do generate XML-Files by using DBMS_XMLGEN with output by UTL_FILE
    but it seems, the xml-Datafile I get on end is not really UTF-8 encoding
    ( f.ex. cannot verifying it correct in xmlspy )
    my dbms is
    NLS_CHARACTERSET          = WE8MSWIN1252
    NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET     = AL16UTF16
    NLS_RDBMS_VERSION     = 10.2.0.1.0
    I do generate it in this matter :
    declare
    xmldoc CLOB;
    ctx number ;
    utl_file.file_type;
    begin
    -- generate fom xml-view :
    ctx := DBMS_XMLGEN.newContext('select xml from xml_View');
    DBMS_XMLGEN.setRowSetTag(ctx, null);
    DBMS_XMLGEN.setRowTag(ctx, null );
    DBMS_XMLGEN.SETCONVERTSPECIALCHARS(ctx,TRUE);
    -- create xml-file:
    xmldoc := DBMS_XMLGEN.getXML(ctx);
    -- put data to host-file:
    vblob_len := DBMS_LOB.getlength(xmldoc);
    DBMS_LOB.READ (xmldoc, vblob_len, 1, vBuffer);
    bHandle := utl_file.fopen(vPATH,vFileName,'W',32767);
    UTL_FILE.put_line(bHandle, vbuffer, FALSE);
    UTL_FILE.fclose(bHandle);
    end ;
    maybe while work UTL_FILE there is a change the encoding ?
    How can this solved ?
    Thank you

    Marco,
    I tryed to work with dbms_xslprocessor.clob2file,

    in my understandig, the xmltyp created should be UTF8 (16),

    it is not well ( german caracter like Ä, Ö .. ):

  • How to save xml output of fm into sap as xml

    how to save xml output of fm into sap as xml
    thank you,
    regards,
    Jagrut bharatkumar shukla

    Hi Jagrut
    The XML document can be stored in an ABAP variable rxml of the type STRING or XSTRING, or in an internal standard table sxml of the elementary line type C. Hence, I believe, your issue with the lenght can be resovled with this types.
    For rxml, you specify an interface reference variable of the type IF_IXML_OSTREAM that points to an IXML output stream.
    For rxml, you specify an interface reference variable of the type IF_IXML_DOCUMENT that points to an IXML document.
    With the stream factory you have several options. Before you call your CALL TRANSFORMATION, you setup your stream factory for these different options.
    1. You want to write the file to the application server file system. You want to create your OSTREAM as a binary string. In this example b_xml is an empty binary string. OSTEAM will be the reference variable of tyep IF_IXML_OSTREAM.
    ostream =
    streamfactory->create_ostream_xstring( b_xml ).
    You get the output lenght with the following:
    ressize = ostream->get_num_written_raw( ).
    You can then send the entire string to the file system with the following:
    transfer b_xml to filename1 length ressize.
    Also refer to this weblog:

  • How to read and write a string into a txt.file

    Hi, I am now using BEA Workshop for Weblogic Platform version10. I am using J2EE is my programming language. The problem I encounter is as the above title; how to read and write a string into a txt.file with a specific root directory? Do you have any sample codes to reference?
    I hope someone can answer my question as soon as possible
    Thank you very much.

    Accessing the file system directly from a web app is a bad idea for several reasons. See http://weblogs.java.net/blog/simongbrown/archive/2003/10/file_access_in.html for a great discussion of the topic.
    On Weblogic there seems to be two ways to access files. First, use a File T3 connector from the console. Second, use java.net.URL with the file: protocol. The T3File object has been deprecated and suggests:
    Deprecated in WebLogic Server 6.1. Use java.net.URL.openConnection() instead.

    How to print different colors of Strings into JEditorpane?
    Can any body give me answer ...

    JEditorPane contain HTML. So write your HTML using the color attribute.
    Start by read the the API description of JEditorPane. you will find a link to the Swing tutorial on "Using Text Components" which has working examples of using a JEditorPane. It also has an example of using a JTextPane where you can dynamically change the attributes of individual pieces of text.

    Sounds like a UI browsing bug (when no path is selected from a catalog tree folder browser) - I would suggest logging a support ticket so that it can be addressed.

  • How can i turn a photoshop file into a website with knowing code? can i upload Muse or DreamWeaver?

    How can i turn a photoshop file into a website with knowing code? can i upload Muse or DreamWeaver?
    I created a few images (pages for a site) on photoshop and want to turn them into HTML code for a website- Can i Just upload the file into one of these programs and make a file with the correct code imediatly?
    I was reading about using EDGE Reform but i did not understand if i can create the code with it, in the end it says it still needs to be sent to website developer after?

    You need to look at Dreamweaver as a code editor. You need to learn to create good, clean HTML code with style sheets to make websites with Dreamweaver.
    There are tutorials that will take you from a layered .PSD file to HTML. Here's a good one:
    http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/site-builds/from-psd-to-html-building-a-set-of-website-d esigns-step-by-step/
    Adobe's Muse is a semi-WYSIWYG website layout creator for small websites (1-5 pages). But there is no way you can go from a .PDS file to Muse, you have to start the site in Muse.
    I have seen a few Muse sites and they're OK, but there is some code that Muse creates that is kind of odd. If you want a good, clean website that will work for you or your business, Dreamweaver is the best choice. Alternatively, you could hire a pro.

    How do you convert an Autocad drawing into a pdf with Acrobat X Standard?

    Something to try -
    Having installed Acrobat Standard you have the Adobe PDF virtual printer installed.
    From your authoring application do a "file-print" and select the Adobe PDF printer rather than the attached local or network printer / plotter.

  • How to read UTF-8 encoded text file randomly?

    I am trying to read a text file which has been encoded in UTF-8. The problem is that I need to access the file randomly. The RandomAccessFile is a low-level class and there seems to be no-way to wrap it in InputStreamReader so that UTF-8 encoding can be done on-the-fly. Is there any easy way to do that. Below is the simplified version of my program.
    import java.io.*;
    public class Test{
            public Test(String filename){
                    try{
                            RandomAccessFile rafTemIn = new RandomAccessFile(new File(filename), "r");
                            while(true){
                                    char chr = rafTemIn.readChar();
                                    System.err.println(chr);
                    } catch (EOFException e) {
                            System.err.println("File read.");
                    } catch (IOException e) {
                            System.err.println("File input error");
            public static void main(String[] args){
                    Test t= new Test("template.idx");
    }

    The file that I am going to read could be few hundreds of MBs or GBs. Hence, I will index interesting items in the file. The index file contain the keyword and the byte offset in the file. So, I will need to seek to any byte to read it. The file could be UTF-8 encoded XML or UTF-8 encoded plain text.
    Also, would like to add-up that in the sample program above I am reading the file sequentially. The concerned class has another method which actually does the reading randomly. If this helps, I am pasting the simplified version of code again but this also includes the said method.
    import java.io.*;
    public class Test{
            long bloc;
            long eloc;
            RandomAccessFile rafTemIn;
            public Test(String filename){
                    bloc=0L;
                    eloc=0L;
                    try{
                            rafTemIn = new RandomAccessFile(new File(filename), "r");
                            while(true){
                                    char chr = rafTemIn.readChar();
                                    System.err.println(chr);
                    } catch (EOFException e) {
                            System.err.println("File read.");
                    } catch (IOException e) {
                            System.err.println("File input error");
            public String getVal(String templateName){
                    String stemval=null;
                    try {
                            rafTemIn.seek(bloc); //bloc is a long value for beginng location to read from. It changes.
                            byte[] b = new byte[(int)(eloc - bloc + 1L)];
                            rafTemIn.read(b,0,(int) (eloc - bloc + 1L));
                            stemval = new String(b,"UTF-8");
                    } catch(IOException eio) {
                            System.err.println("Template Dump file IO error.");
                    return stemval;
            public static void main(String[] args){
                    Test t= new Test("template.idx");
                    System.out.println(t.getVal("wikipedia"));
    }

  • Encoding from UTF-8 encoded String to Microsoft Project default encode

    Hi Expert ...
    I have a problem with encoding a String from UTF-8 String in order to write a MPX (Microsoft Project) file. I used UTF-8 on my Database encoding, and I want to write a MPX file using MPXJ library, but the result is (?) character. I think it's because I didn't encode yet to Shift JIS (a Microsoft Product default encoding). And after that I try to encode the String with Shift_JIS encoding, but the same result is appeared. I try to looking another way, but there is no result.
    I hope some expert would help me to solve this problem.
    Thank you,
    Alfian B.

    Totally wrong. A String doesn't have an encoding.
    Now if you had an array of bytes, which were encoded using one charset, and you wanted to convert that to an array of bytes encoded using a second charset, you would use code like this:byte[] bytes = // the bytes encoded in UTF-8, let's say
    String s = new String(bytes, "UTF-8"); // make that into a String
    byte[] newbytes = s.getBytes("windows-31j"); // encode the String into windows-31j

  • How to change UTF-8 encoding for XML parser (PL/SQL) ?

    Hello,
    I'm trying to parse xml file stored in CLOB.
    p := xmlparser.newParser;
    xmlparser.parseCLOB(p, CLOB_xmlBody);
    Standard PL/SQL parser encoding is UTF-8. But my xml CLOB contain ISO-8859-2 characters.
    Can you advise me, please, how to change encoding for parser?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    null

    Do you documents contain an XML Declaration like this at the top?
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-2"?>
    If not, then they need to. The XML 1.0 specification says that if an XML declaration is not present, the processor must default to assume its in UTF-8 encoding.

  • How to save data in a string control?

    I want to save data in a string control or indicator. I know that I can rt-click and make the data default. But can it be done through a proberty node or something else when the program is running?

    There isn't a "Make Current Value Default" method that you can invoke programmatically, this would require your VI to be saved when it was closed, which obviously couldn't be done if it had been built into an executable.
    You could read the values from the controls/indicators and save them in a .ini file using the Configuration File VIs on the File I/O palette, and have some code at the start of your program that reads the values from the file and puts them into the objects using local variables.
