Hi, glad that worked for you. Also thanks for the explanation as how you came about this. Yes, from my understanding any Install of the CS5, even a trial version Installs the 10.1 (beta/prerelease) versions. It is not clear to me or others why the 10.1 was used in the CS5 instead of the latest version (10.0.45.2). My only guess is that the 10.1 is very close to being released as a shipping version (final release) to the public. The 10.1 had a target date of the first half of 2010. Perhaps that was the reasoning. This is just my opinion:-)
As I said, many users are having this problem, not just with the CS5, but they Install the 10.1 thinking that will solve whatever problem they may be having with the latest version.

I was trying to install the new 64-bit flash plugin for my newly install 64-bit Arch.
I want to install the 64-bit plugin, and also found this Wiki page https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Br … ins#64-bit
I'm not used to AUR, and have no idea how to use it for now. I just want to get the 64-bit version plugin working asap without any complaexity.
So is there any fast way to get it to work? (i'm open to adding a repository to my /etc/pacman.conf)

would be good enough for me for now.

I think I understand your concern at most. I also had the same problem. What you can (should !!!) do is:
1. Download this "Square" Preview Release from http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs … 710.tar.gz
2. Unpack it
3. Execute the command "mkdir ~/.mozilla/plugins/"
4. Copy the unpacked libflashplayer.so into the above folder you created by doing "mv libflashplayer.so ~/.mozilla/plugins/"
5. Restart your firefox
6. Optional (check whether it is installed by typing about:plugins in your browser URL field.) you should be able to see this under shockwave flash.
I have seen many people saying that this version does not work very well. For me it is working flawlessly and effortlessly. Once they publish the official version, I will switch to the newest. Otherwise, I really do not have any problem with it. Good for you! :-) -

Right click the Live Messenger icon in the system tray where you see the clock and choose Exit. -

You can't install flash player on your iPad, nor on your iPhone - it's not supported on iOS devices, and as Adobe have stopped development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites. Also some websites have their own apps in the App Store. -

The subject line of this discussion is what is displayed when I go to try to install Adobe Flash. I have a Mac OS X 10.9.3. I had Flash downloaded for a while, but the last update wouldn't update. It would download, but then when I went to open it it would say "Retrieving Install" and the meter would remain at 0%. It never went a step beyond that. After trying many times, per the instructions of the website, I deleted Flash from my computer using the Adobe uninstaller downloaded from this site. Now that I am trying to reinstall Flash I keep getting the message "'Install Adobe Flash Player' is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image". What should I do from here? I successfully installed Adobe Flash Player 11.7.700.169 onto my Macbook Air 2012 (OS 10.7.5) and when I went onto website (Morrision Planetarium-California Academy of Science) it still read that I need update. I've tried 3x and still same message. Is there something I am doing wrong? Quite frustrating!

My browser is out of date according to everything I am visiting. I can't post pictures on twitter, some of the videos I watch have blocked plug-ins, and I can't install adobe flash player. My computer is a MacBook Pro 10.6.4, and I would like to keep Safari. Can someone direct me to where I get the newest version of Safari and why I cannot install Adobe Flash Player.
