Hi I'm having a problem with adding me credit card in my account
So I can't seem to add in my credit card in to my iTunes account and I know why, cause I'm constantly changing my card info so can we please have something done about this I promise I'll leave this card info :/
We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support.
What happens when you try to add the credit card, do you get any error messages ? The card needs to be registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, be issued by a bank in your country and you need to be in that country

Agree to the terms and fill in the details, and you should get 'none' on the payments screen. -
wow wrote that in the wrong place. First time using this forum thing. Question is still the same. I don't think I'm looking in the right place. It says, "Please contact iTunes support to complete this transaction". The reason it came up is because I added a credit card to my account. Do I have to just reset my password completely and all my security info and re-enter it?
Have you considered doing exatly what it says and contacting itunes support?

When i added my credit card to itunes account, my account was changed €1.98? Why?
That is to verify your card and that it works. The charge will be reversed and will not appear on your bill. If it does, contact iTunes support in your country.

Is there a way to use promo codes without adding a credit card to your account?
I currently don't have any credit or debit cards, but would really like to use some promo codes to test out one of the paid apps.
The problem is it wont allow me to enter the code without first adding a credit card. Is there any way around this?

Hi. A few weeks ago I tried to purchase a product at Apple Store and my credit card was refused. Now the problem was solved, I don't want to purchase the product anymore and still I can't access apps on Apple Store anymore. It always ask for the security code and shows as invalid, even it's correct. I can't even download free apps because of this problem. What should I do to return using the Apple store?

I've entered an valid Internet credit card number given by my bank, but iTunes say's "Credit card can not be used".??? It's a valid and usable number!
If by "Internet credit card" you are referring to those services that issue a temporary, time-limited credit card number, those to the best of my knowledge will not work with the iTunes Store. You need a permanent credit card that has an associated billing address.

I'm having trouble adding "spoken word" CDs that are in a set to my library. When some of the discs have "gracenotes" info the album gets broken up as if each cd was a separate album. I haven't been able to figure out how to have all the cds in the set appear as one album. I have entered each one in the "get info" page as "1 of 7" and "2 of 7" etc, but the ones with gracenote info get put into a separate album. It's frustrating so far! Also, when I want copy an album to the burn folder so i can share it with a friend, it moves the songs as songs, not as albums. Any way around this? Thanks very much!

Hi all,
My computer had been running really slowly for a while, so I decided to erase the whole hard drive and reinstall the operating system, and then I was going to restore the files I cared about from Time Machine. The main account, which had all my documents and photos, was FileVault-protected. The last thing I did before erasing the hard drive was to run one last Time Machine backup. As far as I remember, I always ran Time Machine backups with the FileVaulted user logged in.
I don't remember whether I was using FileVault 1 or 2. I had been using FileVault 1, but I installed Lion as soon as it came out and I thought I had migrated to FileVault 2 at that point.
Once I erased the hard drive and reinstalled the operating system, I browsed the Time Machine disk and, within the Users folder, there was no folder for the main user account. When I tried to reinstall everything by restoring from Time Machine backup, I'd get the option for all the user accounts, but when I tried to log in with the main one I'd get the dreaded "You are unable to log in to the FileVault user account "User" at this time. Log in failed because an error occurred." Finally, when attempting to restore from the Time Machine backup again, I noticed something strange: After the computer got to about 10% done restoring, it declared itself completed successfully and rebooted.
I've tried a number of tips that came up from questions about similar issues on the Apple support forum, but had no luck. Is there any way to get these files back? Did they ever even get backed up?

Did you have only the one user account? If there were others, they should also be in the "Users" folder. You probably won't have access to the files inside them, but they should be there.
From what can make out, it looks like it's not backed up any of the files for the filevault account. Can't see user folder when looking through previous backups in Time Machine galaxy view.
Are you doing that from a Finder window set to your internal HD, or your computer name? It should look something like this (with the Finder in List view):

I'd been logging out and backing up manually on a regular basis.
Scheduled backups should run normally; but they won't back up the File Vault sparse bundle, nor will any run manually.
The only time it's backed-up is when you actually log out.
You should have seen this window on logout:

If you didn't see the second one, or cancelled it, the account wasn't backed-up. -

Just moved my email from Entourage to Mail. Having real problems with getting my signatures to work properly despite sending email as Rich Text.
When adding in a small company logo to the signature, PC's / windows computers only receive signature and logo as attachments.
I've tried all possible fixes I can find including getting a PC user to format the logo but no joy. Has anyone experienced this and any ideas on a fix gratefully received.Send it as html so the signature is an image source URL
