Hi, I need some help. Since I have changed to windows 7 I cannot open raw files with my canon mk 5D. The files will not open in cs4. Can somebody advise me what to do. I have done updates on CS4 and still cannot open the raw files

Can anybody advise me what to do as I am having problems opening raw files on CS4 since I have changed to windows 7. I am using a canon mk 5D.

Actually, you're not. That's not an accurate description of any of the Canon 5D models.
There are EOS 5D, EOS 5D Mark II, and EOS 5D Mark III models. Which do you have, specifically? Details will matter for this.
If you have a 5D Mark III (three) it's too new and you will not be able to directly open files with Photoshop CS4. You'll either need a newer version of Photoshop or to use the free DNG converter.

You have to remember, where the scroll ball is, there is a small gap which picks up dust and fluff. That detritus gets everywhere and in your case affects the downward scroll.
Adding just a touch Linc Davis's suggestion, after you have vigorously rubbed the scroll ball on the pad, tap it on a hard surface from time to time. Sometimes you will see small amounts of fluff appear. You should also see dirty marks on the pad.

If it was stolen the thief will wipe it with the result that you will not be able to track it.
Contact your carrier. They may be able to block further use of the phone. No good to you but then no good to the thief either.

No Japanese carrier provides unlocking services. Therefore, your phone must have been hacked to unlock it. That hack was removed when you updated the software. You need to be a legitimately unlocked phone.

App update on 4S frozen in "download now" mode. The screen will not respond to touch, anywhere. Rest of iPhone working AOK. I plugged into my iMac and opened ITunes

While playing Book Worm, a message appeared that there are updates for the iPhone (at no cost!). There was no indication on the App icon of an update. I proceeded, entered my password and the "Download Now, iBooks will now begin to download" appeared with the OK box. Tapping same has done nothing (this started yesterday). Thanks, but frozen screen negates this. The download was not at my request, but at an iPhone update & giving me the opportunity to download 4 apps at no cost.
Per a suggestion elsewhere here, I powered off, i.e., holding power & home buttons simultaneously, got the Apple logo, entered the App store and the freeze was gone, and the offered downloads nowhere to be found on my phone. Well, at least App store is available again.

I have sucessfully got my windows program talking to the extension and calling my code to scroll into view however when I call window.scrollTo and provide the new coordinates nothing happens.

RAW files from my Canon 7D Mark II camera do not show thumbnails when stored on my iMac computer even though I have Photoshop CC 14.2 and Camera RAW 8.7

How do i resolve this problem? TIFF files show the thumbnails just fine, just not the RAW files. My old Canon 7D was fine with RAW files showing thumbnails also.

Which version of mac os x are you using?
They show here in photoshop 14.2.1 in the open dialog as well as in finder on mac os x 10.10
I believe the operating system provides the thumbnails and not photoshop.

i had tried to update but older version came up then i tried to delete older version - and i downloaded the setup again but when i had to reboot the computer nothing happened and nothing was loaded ( i have loaded it on my laptop with no effort!!) i feel i must be missing some step but as i go through the wizard it all ends when it asks me to reboot!!

What else is there? There's Siri, A5 chip, 8MP camera, intelligent switching between antennas. Those are the only new things in the 4S. Like I said, if Siri was on the 4, fewer would buy the 4S. Second, the 4 is discontinued to make room for the 4S, so there will be no updates exclusively for the 4. Third, I never trust any reports on the Internet unless it comes directly from the company (in this case, Apple).

I have installed pse 9 however the organizer will not launch, getting error 1310.

What all Adobe applications are installed on your machine?
Try launching the Editor from its installation location:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 8.0\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
Does it launch fine from there?
If yes, then as a workaround, you can simply create a shortcut of this .exe on desktop by right click and choosing the option of Send To -> Desktop (create shortcut).
