Hi, I've just bought a Nexus 7, installed Firefox and logged in on sync with my firefox account but no passwords or anything are getting sync'd.
Elements have been tipped (passwords etc...). Nothing gets updated...

It takes a while after connecting for sync to retrieve the information. Are you still experiencing this issue?

You can't do anything, except use a different device (or a Mac) to setup iCloud and then transfer the details to the phone you bought.
Clearly your friend setup multiple iCloud accounts for some reason (you only need one) using up all the allocation for that device, and didn't tell you before selling you the phone. -
I bought a lot of songs off of itunes today and it is not downloading to my library what do i do?

my macbook pro didnt come with any kind of disc. arent they supposed to come with boot discs or something?
No. They come with Lion pre-installed. No disc is needed because any recovery is performed over the internet. You restore by booting to a Recovery HD that is an invisible partition on your hard drive.
To boot from the Recovery HD restart the computer. After the chime hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the spinning gear appeas below the Apple logo.

I just bought a new external monitor (ASUS), and it have DVI and VGA plugs. I bought the DVI adapter to connect with my macbook pro laptop. But the external monitor remain black… so I turn it off then turn it back on, it said "No VGA signal". Does it means I have to use VGA adapter instead? I am not sure how it work, I am very new to it… I hope you can help me out!

Hi, just bought my daughter an Iphone 4s and I can't get it to let her on youtube, Facebook etc., keeps saying no internet connection. My husband and I have 3G smartphones and we can get on them on ours, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Also, my other daughter has the same phone and has no trouble getting on these sites either. I just bought my first Iphone the 5S and when I turn on my bluetooth the ringtone for my text, calendar, etc. comes through my Bluetooth instead of the phone. Is there a way to have the tones use the phone while bluetooth is on?
I would also like this issue addressed.
I am using a Plantronics Voyager Pro+ and when it is connected to my iPhone 4, email and text sounds are not audible through the phone. The phone just vibrates when a new text or email is received.
I don't really care if it plays through the headset, but it should at least play through the phone. I tested the headset from a BlackBerry and the alerts play fine.

You need to use the backup of your PC to transfer all the music files to iTunes on the Mac.
If you have no backup then you have a difficult task ahead of you as iTunes will only allow you to sync purchased music from the iPhone back into iTunes. Any music you loaded into iTunes yourself will not transfer from the iPhone to iTunes, this is to prevent stealing of music. To sync iTunes purchased music from the iPhone to iTunes, connect the iPhone and open iTunes, but when asked do NOT sync the device. then right click on the iPhone in the iTunes source list and select the 'Transfer Purchases' option, you will also find this commend in the File menu.
If you are in the US, you can use the new iTunes in the Could feature to redownload your iTunes purchased music / apps / books for free.
If you want to transfer all the content from your iPhone to you Mac then you will need to use Google to find a 3rd party piece of software that will do this for you. -
I have just bought a new I pad 3 and want to give my I pad 2 to a friend. What will I have to do to clear my info on the old I pad and set it up on my new one? How are apple I D effected and passwords cleared?
Any advice welcome.To clear to old before passing it on, open the Settings app and tap on General (left hand menu). Scroll down and tap on settings, then tap on Erase All Content and Settings.
If you have been synching the iPad to iTunes on a computer, you should also have backed it up. If you havn't backed it, you will want to do so before clearing the settings and use the back up to set up your new iPad.

It depends upon the restrictions set on the pdf.
If the creator of the pdf has set restrictions against copying then you will not be able to copy the content.
Are you facing the same issue with all the pdf's?
