Hi, this morning I tried to send an email with several photo attachments about 32 megs in JPEG formmat. when I sent them the wheel just went round

Hi this morning I tried to send an email with 4 Jpegs photos about 32 meg in size.  Hit the send button and it would not send just went round and round for 30 min.  Turned off the computer and restartednow I can't access mail on the computer and when in mail mode the quit mail button is greyed out so I can't quit and restart the mail program.  My icon shows no mail on the dock yet I know I have 80  plus emails to wade through.  Using 2008 MacBook Pro with version 10.6.8. Any help would be appreciated?  Looked through the help screens with no luck.  Thanks Doug.

Thanks Sig for your input.  Yes my ISP says about 27 meg but didn't know this, prior to sending the email.  How do I break up the email.  Two, when I do break up the email message will it stop the sent message wheel from going round & round, has been doing this now for 3 hours.  [email protected]

  • Can you send an email with multiple photos from iPhoto in reduced size?

I want to send an email with multiple photos attached with a reduced size. How do I accomplish this?

    Hi Igmatteson,
If you are using regular Mac Mail, and you are on Mountain Lion, this is what I can do:
    1. Go into Mail, and start a new message
    2. At the top, you will see 4 icons - the third one over brings up the Photo Browser from iPhoto
    3. Go through your pics and select the one you want and drag it onto the mail page
    4. Once you have done that, a small bar on the right-hand side will show up that will allow you to select whether you want the image size to be small, medium, or large. Once you select a size, all photos you add will be that same size.
    Hope this works for you!
    Cheers,

  • When I send an email with a photo from snow leopard to email of a lion user, the photo shows up in the Lion email sideways. When they email it back it returns to correct position. Is there something in Lion causing this?

When I send an email via MACMAIL  with a photo from snow leopard to  an email of a lion user using At & T , the photo shows up in the Lion user email sideways. When they email it back it returns to correct position. Is there something in Lion causing this? This also happens when in in using iphoto'11 i share/email a photo to myself and the phot shows up sideways but is in a correct position prior to emailing.

I recently tried sending myself an email through Thunderbird to another email account to see if that was the case, but the email came in with a font so tiny that it was unreadable. I had chosen a font type and size (arial 10) and just coming into my outlook inbox was virtually unreadable.
And referring to the person I work with, she doesn't have problems getting anyone else's emails, just ones I send from Thunderbird.

  • Email: I tried to "Send" an email with about 30 addresses, and it refuses to fly. What can I co? I am not aware of anyone who has changed their address.

I regularly send out a monthly email announcement to about 30 people.
This time it will not Send.
    What could be the problem?

It is hardly Apple's fault that Epson can't/won't update their driver, but at least Epson suggest that you use the Gutenprint driver, which in any case is far better that what Epson offer.
    You can get it here:
    http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/
You can download the latest version from here:

Have you downloaded the recent Apple update to Epson drivers?

  • Safari Quits When Trying to Send an Email With Attachments

I use gmail to send attachments. Now whenever i try to send an message that has an attachment, it quits unexpectedly. This is the only problem i have with Safari. I created another account to check if the problem is in the account itself but Safari didn't exist in the new account (it shows a question mark as an icon for Safari).
    Thanx

If Safari is in its default location in the Applications folder, this shouldn't happen. I'm guessing you moved it from that location, either into another folder or a subfolder of the Applications folder. Move it back into the Applications folder and this part of the problem should be solved.

  • Trying to send an email with the mail client, says password is wrong

The password is right but when I enter it in, it keeps saying that it's wrong and gives the server.ntmp error msg

Not sure if this is what you meant, but the DeliveryNotificationOptions is a bitwise flag enumeration:  You can get the value you need for a delivery receipt by using a static property node on the DeliveryNotificationOptions class.  Read receipts are a bit different.  For this, you apparently have to add a custom header to the email named "Disposition-Notification-To" where the value is the address where the reciept should be sent.  Of course the functionality relies on the recievers server supporting the functionality.  If you need more info, I would suggest searching MSDN since the question is more about the use of a Microsoft .Net assembly.

  • Mail won't open since I tried to send an email with big attachment.

I have swiped Mail off the multi-tasking bar, I've restarted the iPad several times and have deleted the draft from my email account (going via the web). Mail still wont open...I figure the attachment was goo big and has crashed it. Can you help please?

a reset no data loss.  hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait fro the ipad to boot back up.
If that doesn't work, delete and re add the email account.

  • Sending 450 Emails with unique PDF attachments/email addresses easily?

I have 450 unique PDFs to send to 450 different people. Each PDF belongs to one person.
I have one message template, of course, which says something like:
    "Dear [Person's Name]
    [Message Content]
    Best regards,
    [My name]"
    (PDF as attachment)
What's the easiest/best/fastest way to accomplish this? Can Mail do it? Do I need other software for it?

I don't have experience with doing this using iWork, but there's third party software for this. Serial Mail is a cheap solution that lets you actually compose the message template in Mail. It should work OK for a few hundred messages if the attachments are reasonably small. Professional bulk mail sending software applications usually do not depend on Mail. I've been using Mailings for quite some time. It does its job reasonably well, but it crashes quite often. The developer was always being helpful, but never actually resolved the issues. I still feel that it's more reliable for sending thousands of messages then pushing them through Apple Mail. Other popular bulk mail software products are: MaxBulk Mailer and Direct Mail, I haven't tried either of these, they cost more and might be more reliable, but if you visit MacUpdate you'll see that both have mixed reviews at best.
All of these should allow you to customize messages including attachments (Serial Mail and Malings certainly allow it). Another option would be a web-based service like MailChimp (I believe that you can use MailChimp for free for less than 1000 messages).
An important caveat: If you want unique messages, each of them needs to be sent individually, and that may take quite some time if the attachments are large. So whatever method you choose, make sure that those PDFs are optimized.

  • Why can't I send an email with attachments?

I've been trying to send an email with a biology review on it so that my mom can print it out but it keeps telling me that I can't send the email. The exact message is "To send this message, delete the current attachments and attach them again." I've done that ad it's still not working and giving me the same message. What do I do??

  • When I select a local phone number my iphone 4 tries to send an email only and won't ring the number. Does anyone know if this can be fixed with a setting change?

When I select a local phone number from my contacts, the iphone 4 won't ring the number, instead it tries to send an email. Does anyone know if this can be fixed with a setting change?

Thanks for the reply, good try, I thought of that myself and made sure of that this morning, but that is already all done, and as it happens, the contacts are exactly the same as in our other phone (3GS) which works perfectly, but the iphone 4 won't dial ANY local number, instead it tries to send an email. EVERY TIME. most frustrating. I am really trying to work out if there is a setting somewhere (like the area code etc) or if this is a warranty issue.
Thanks again for trying to help!

  • Tried to install iTunes 10.5 this morning but an error appeared saying "problem with windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run." Can someone please help

I tried to install iTunes 10.5 this morning but an error appeared saying "problem with windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run." Can someone please help

Firstly, are you installing iTunes for the first time or are you updating your current version of iTunes?
If you're installing iTunes for the first time have you tried redownloading the installer package? Perhaps the file you downloaded originally is corrupted...
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/
If you've tried that, then try installing iTunes as your computer's administrator. To do this right-click the install package and choose "Run as administrator".
If you're updating iTunes to the most recent version try repairing the Apple Software Update program on your computer. It's under the add/remove programs.
    1. Open the control panel
    2. Open Add/Remove programs (called "Programs and Features" in Windows 7)
    3. Navigate to "Apple Software Update" in the list and click on it
    4. Click on "Change" then select "Repair" (or just select the repair option in Windows 7)
Once you repair this, try running iTunes and the update again.
    Fingers crossed!
