Hidden applications in startup?

I see some applications starting up when my E72 starts then they get hidden, when I check the "opened applications" there is nothing there, any one know how to locate and edit the file which contains the start up applications?

you can't do it, in official way, it is a part of the boot process on nokia phones. you can only set boot preferences for apps that allow you to do that and apps that you have installed on top of what is a part of the firmware on the phone

  • Message bean does not start automatically during application server startup

    I have a message bean that does not start up during application server startup. I am able to successfully start the application manually using the visual admin tool.I searched the logs and found the following error. The error references the "QueueConnectionFactory" is not deployed or is not started. I have check and the "QueueConnectiopnFactory" is deployed. Is this a problem with the application trying to start before the "QueueConnectionFactory"? Is thier a way to define a dependency on my application not to start until the "QueueConnectionFactory" has been started, if so can how would I define this dependency. Please provide and example.
    Thanks,
    Bill

    I though the same thing, but XE LISTENER is running on localhost and port 1522. On the other hand XE have local_listener explicitly set to the very same connection descriptor. Even XE installation was second on this server.
    I've could change that yes, but the startup script doesn't seemed to have this mind.

  • Fix? Clicking on iTunes makes hidden application appear (usually Adobe Bridge)

    Here's what happens: iTunes is playing in the background while I'm working in some application... say, Photoshop.  To keep things tidied up, I have other open applications hidden.  But if I click on iTunes in the dock to give it focus, or click on the iTunes mini-player (which is set to Always On Top), an unrelated hidden application (usually Adobe Bridge) comes out of Hide mode and takes the vocus.  It happens for a while, then stops.  I haven't found a pattern.
    This bizarre issue has been happening for a long time, through a number of iTunes versions, including the current one.
    Any reason why?  Any fix?
    I'm still using Snow Leaopard, which is a requirement for a while longer.
    Thanks!

    You can try running the combo update.

  • Doing stuff at Application Server startup

    Hi all,
    Sorry I have to post it here but my posts in "Java Programming' are not showing up.
    How can I do some stuff when the application server is starting up.
    I am using JBoss 3.2.3. At the Application Server startup I want to read a Properties file, and set its values in a class.
    For example I have a AppDefaults.properties file with this entry:
    DefaultDAOFactory=MSSQLSERVER
    Now I have a class AppEnvironment:
    public static class AppEnvironment {
      public static String defaultDAOFactory;
    }Then at startup i want to read the value of "DefaultDAOFactory" key in AppDefaults.properties and set it as defaultDAOFactory attribute's value in AppEnvironment class.
    How can I do that?
    Thanks

    I am using JBoss 3.2.3. At the Application Server

    values in a class. I would guess that JBoss would have some call-back hooks for this. In which case the JBoss Forum might be a better place to ask (but they seam to have work forums, so I don't know if you can trust 'em). If not, maybe a static block:
    public static class AppEnvironment {
      public static String defaultDAOFactory;  static {
        loadProps();
        defaultDAOFactory = props.getProp( "default_doa_factory" );
    }

  • Hidden Applications

    When I have hidden an application, such as Mail, any programs I subsequently open in fullscreen mode and then quit, the hidden application reappears which I find very annoying!! If I've hidden more than one application, the same thing happens again, however only the last application that was hidden reappears, not all of them. Anyone have any ideas to stop this?

    press the menu button and go to show all, then select each one and unhide
    If someone helped you give them kudos. Research all info!

  • Hidden application items, is there date or logged on seconds

    Hi,
    I need a replacement for seconds logged on or sysdate (to the second).
    Is there a list of the 'hidden' application items?
    APP_USER, APP_ID, APP_PAGE_ID, APP_WORKSPACE_ID etc.
    Otherwise, is there an easy way of putting a computation onto every page in my application?
    Thanks in advance
    Michael

    Hello Michael,
    You can create an Application Item that holds the logion time (set it in your logon page).
    You can create an Application Process that runs on every page that calculates the difference between SYSDATE an the logon time.
    But what exactly is your requirement?

  • MacBook Pro, Mid 2012 slow to load applications and startup

    Problem description:
    I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch, mid 2012 computer. Over the past months it has become increasingly slower during load up, and application loads.
    Running OS X Yosemite
    Processor: 2.9 GHz, Intel Core i7
    Memory 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB
    I installed an application Memory Clean from the App Store and I need to run it every so often to keep the load down. It shows of the 8GB available, App Memory eating up 3.32 GB, File Cache 2.25 GB, Wired 1.16 GB, Compressed 122.03 MB for used 6.80 GB.
    I am considering upping the memory from 8 GB to 16 GB, but think it is something else dragging it down. I am not a total computer newbie, but am no where near a techomage so any advice given if it could be in simple to follow instructions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks for any advice given, have a great day.

    How to manage intermittent lag in OS X Yosemite | MacIssues
    Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
    1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
        b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
    4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
                because it is three times faster than wireless.
    5. Reinstall Yosemite from Scratch:
    Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
    How to Clean Install OS X Yosemite
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible

  • Add or remove applications from Startup in LION

    We just did a migration from Tiger to Lion for our primary Mac user and now, on her new machine running Lion, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Entourage launch every time she starts up her PC.  Microsoft Excel was not even in her Startup on her old system.
    I followed the instructions provided in this link:  http://www.apple.com/findouthow/mac/#appstartup for adding and removing applications from a user's Startup in Lion.  For this user, there are no Microsoft 2008 applications listed.  She is the only user on the computer - there is a guest account that is shown but cannot be accessed or modified from the Users and Groups folder in System Preferences.
    So, my question is:  Is there another way to see what would be the equivalent of the "Startup" folder in Windows on an iMac running Lion?  Or am I missing something?  How did Excel get into Startup?  How do I get it out?
    Marty

    As it turned out,  I noticed that when you shut down or restart the computer, a question box comes up asking "Are you sure you want to restart/shutdown your computer now?"  There is a check box next to the option "Reopen windows when logging back in", which is checked by default.  I discovered that if you uncheck that box just one time, it will not attempt to open any applications that were open during any previous shutdown. It appears to sort of 'wipe the slate clean'.  That is how I got it to stop launching Microsoft 2008 applications on every startup even when they were not in the user's Login Items.  And they were not set for Open At Login.
    This one led me a merry chase!  Thanks to all who responded.

  • Reg: Application Server startup objects

    Hello...
    I am using weblogic server v9. I want to hit the database and populate a couple of objects during startup of my app server and store them in application scope.
    I have no idea on how to proceed. Any hints on the same will be appreciated.
    ~SirG

    Hello SirGeneral,
    You need to implement the ServletContextListener in your application. To do this add following in you web.xml
    <listener-class>
         AppStartListener
    </listener-class>
    Where AppStartListener implements ServletContextListener. Implement the contextInitialized and contextDestroyed methods of the interface. Use the ServletContextEvent argument passed to these methods to lookup your servelt context as event.getServletContext(), which is your application scope. Now do what ever you wish with it.
    Also see my response to thread Disabling Multiple login of a user.
    Again, , not sure why you posted in EJB forum, your issue is jsp/servlet related. You would get best responses there.
    Good Luck

  • How do I retrieve my hidden applications from the dock

    Not sure where to start - I have Parallels 6 working and run a few Windows applications in Coherence mode on my laptop Macbook Pro hooked up to a 27 inch screen so I am not sure where this problem originated. I can open my application but can not see it. I know it is open because it is needed to run another Windows application which runs. I upgraded Parallels and had some database problems that had to be fixed soon after. So I had toggled from coherence to Windows on Parallels and then closed down the program I need to see. Since then it opens up but is hidden from view and the only option is to hide it, which it already is. You can see it disappear back and forth when changing that option but it never shows up on either screen. Other apps show up and can be dragged back and forth from either screen. Anyone know what to do?

    Did you try some other mode besides coherence?
    Try switching View>Window

    at computer startup? How do i do that?Thanks.

    Well look up how to start for example notepad from a .bat file. ie when you double click on the .bat file notepad will open. Should only be 2 lines of code
    You will then have to write these comands to a file in the below directory
    In windows, all shortcuts, and .bat files are opened when windows boots
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

  • Choose application at startup

    When I first turn on my iMac, in the start up process it now offers/challenges me with the "Choose Application" page.  I dismiss it.
    Why is this happening at startup?
    How do I make it stop happening?

    Nudged me in right direction.
    Had installed an unpdated version of SpamSieve & that's what "Choose Application" was seeking.
    File under "read the fine instructions."  "Choose Application" was requesting attention for SpamSieve, but font was inconspicuous, so I just didn't see it.
    Thanks for getting me to look closer.

  • Set Windows Integrity Level for Application at startup

    Hi,
    Yesterday I found a problem in my application that it had not have the same integrity level as Outlook. Therefore someone from microsoft adviced me to look at the integrity level and make them both the same. I managed to find a CommandPrompt command for
    setting the integrity level, but what I really want is setting the integrity level at startup of my application.
    How can I set the integrity level of my application to the desired level using C#?
    Best regards,
    Jouke

    Hello Jouke,
    I am not a Microsoft employee, just a regular developer as you are.
    Anyway, the forum is for Outlook related dev questions. I'd suggest asking common C# programming questions on the Visual C# forum instead.
    I believe you can use the
    /runas command line argument.
