Hide a Function code in Menu bar

Hi All,
How can I hide a function code in a menu bar(not a button in Appln tool bar) in the pf-status of a screen(SE41).
SET PF-STATUS ...EXCLUDING ... only serves to grey out the function code in the menu

Hi,
I don´t recomend it, ´cause this is a modification to the standard. In case of upgrade, your changes are gone. If you really must do that, then
1) make double click on SET PF-STATUS 'xxxxx'
2) display options in menu bar
3) double click on the menu option to modify
4) system displays all suboptions.
5) click on the option to erase
6) press "delete entry" (ctrl + F9)
7) activate the changes

Looking for a way to hide/collapse the display of menu bar items

I've searched the web but I cannot find any utilities that would allow me to hide the items on my menu bar, which is getting a bit cluttered. Particularly when some programs are running, if those programs have a certain number of drop down menus, the menus on the right hand side overlay some of the left side menu bar icons. It would be nice to be able to collapse & un-collapse the menu bar icons when desired.
Not really a problem on my PowerMac which has a 23" display, but moreso on my 15" MBP.

As an aside; if you need to keep several apps fairly close to hand without cluttering the menu bar or dock, create a folder within your Applications folder, and place aliases of the apps in there, then drag the folder to the dock below the divider (next to the trash). Right click on the folder in the dock to get a pop-up list to choose from. I use the same idea for frequently used files and games too (seperate folders)

How can I hide a site in the menu bar? When I open my page it starts with a flash intro. I don't want to have the site with the intro in the menubar. how can i hide it?

If I've understood correctly... go the the 'Plan' view in Muse and right click on your Flash intro page you can select 'Menu Options > Exclude Page from menus'.

Error ! No field defined for function Code in MENU EXIT

Hello All,
I've created a project in CMOD for the MENU EXIT for handling one menu item in the SAP Standard Menu Bar .
i.e under the HELP MENU Item I've included one more sub menu item.
I've activated the project and I'm able to se the newly added Sub-Menu Item in the activated mode.
But when I press the newly created Sub Menu Item I'm getting a Message in the Status Bar saying :
No field defined for the function code
The Help of it says :
Message no. 00125
Diagnosis
The function code field (OK code field) has not been defined on this screen. If the user selects an application function (not a system function), the system usually provides it in the function code field (OK code field) as well as in SY-UCOMM. This is no longer possible.
System Response
The system is unable to inform the application of the current function code. The application should not use field SY_COMM. This field always contains the code of the last function chosen, which is not always identical to the application-relevant code.
Procedure
You should always define a field for the function code on every screen. The Screen Painter always proposes such a field (OK category), you only need to assign a name and include the definition in the ABAP program.
Please let me know what shud be done ?

Try maintain different function codes.
Example in your menu if you have menuitem has function code is '+FCO1'.
Then in the program write:
Case sy-ucomm.
when '+FCO1'
write your logic.
endcase.

How to hide the default windows inherit menu bar

Dear All,
I am using oracle Application server 10g with windows server 2003. with oracle 11g database.
When ever I am accessing the application from client machine through browser i am getting the windows inherit menu bar at the top of the working space of the form.
I want to hide that default menu bar from viewing the application users.
Please help.

Hide .mac status icon from menu bar - how do I do it?

Title says it all.
I want to hide the .mac status icon from the menu bar but can't seem to find a setting anywhere.

To remove the .Mac sync status indicator from the menu bar, open System Preferences > .Mac, click the Sync tab and uncheck the 'Show status in menu bar' checkbox.
To remove the iChat status indicator from the menu bar, open iChat's preferences and uncheck the 'Show status in menu bar' checkbox in the General pane.
Most menu bar icons can also be removed by holding down the Command (Apple) key and dragging them away from the menu bar.

ALV Menu Bar

Hello Experts,
I am facing Problem in ALV to make my MENU BAR workable.
I have created ALV grid using container and class.
field catlog and populated that
I tried copying MENUBAR using TCode se41 form standard,
and bar is visible. but its not functioning.
I have used method set_table_for_first_display and REFRESH_TABLE_DISPLAY of class cl_gui_alv_grid to display data into grid.
Where do i need to pass the value of PF-STATUS.
So that i don't need to code for standard menubar that i have copied using Tcode SE41

Where did you copy the standard menu bar from?
Because just copying the menu bar does not automatically mean that the function codes behind it will work.
You will have to copy the the PBO (for setting at least the PF-status) and PAI module (for handling function codes for menu bar) as well.

CFolder- hide menu bar

Hi,
For cFolders-
1. How to hide settings, home and logout menu bar
2. How to remove the hyperlink which appears on banner - we have changed banner left logos but the hyperlink appears on new banner - we are just looking for plain left logo banner without hyperlink as one places mouse over left logo in cFolders

The formsweb.cf and the various htm files in the Forms90/server directory work in concert.
Name value pairs in your cfg are substituted into the htm template (e.g. webutiljini.htm if you are using JInitiator) where there is the name you used, enclosed in %
e.g. look into the default webutiljini.htm and you'll see lines like <PARAM NAME="lookAndFeel" VALUE="%lookAndFeel%">
so a lookAndFeel=oracle value in your configuration would transform that into:
<PARAM NAME="lookAndFeel" VALUE="oracle">
So in this case you can add your own useSDI=yes parameter to your cfg entry and then add a useSDI=%useSDI% placeholder in the template on the serverArgs line (which will already have userid=%userid% etc.
Make sure you update the Object tag used by IE and the Embed tag used by Netscape. So you have to do it twice in the template

Spry Menu Bar Submenus Not Showing

i want to create one icon for systems -
> services for object.
i m wrking on 6.0,in that see me23 and va03,
the difference between these 2 codes.
my req is services for object is nt available in va03.
i want to create one icon left side of the title bar.

thru this icon,v can see the idoc's used in the s.order or create attachements.

you can add a menu item using MENU EXIT.
Step by step procdure for creating Menu Exits
PART A: Search for the menu exit.
1. A menu exit is a way to add a menu item and corresponding functionality to the menu bar of an SAP transaction. The first step is to navigate to the screen where you want to attach menu exit.
2. Go to the menu painter of that screen through system -> status and look for function codes in the menu bar that start with a plus sign. These are the menu's which can be enhanced.
PART B: Attaching your own menu.
3. Run transaction YSMD (available in 3.1G) to identify the Enhancement and the Component which contains that exit or search it through transaction SMOD.
Note : All menu exits will have the function code name with the plus sign as the last four characters of the component.
4. Include the Enhancement in your own project through transaction CMOD.
5. Go to Enhancement Components a
And double click on the component name to give your own text to the menu item.
6. Activate the project.
At this point the menu item will appear, but it will have no functionality.
PART C: Adding functionality to the menu item.
The new menu item can have functionality in four ways:
predefined functionality by SAP programmer
transaction code
program exit
area menu'
7. You do not have control over the first method of functionality to a menu exit. In some cases, SAP programmers will have predefined code that is executed once you activate the menu exit.
8. If the menu exit function code is a type T function code, you will need to create a transaction code to add functionality to the new menu item. (To find the type of the function code, just double click on the function code in the GUI screen) The transaction code should have the same name as the function code (remember: it will start with a plus sign). The transaction code you create can either call an online (module pool) program or a report. You can create a transaction code from the object browser.
9. If the functionality for a menu exit is to be placed in a program exit, the menu exit and corresponding program exit will belong to the same enhancement.
Examining the enhancement that contains the menu exit can give you an initial indication that a program exit is needed to add functionality. You can code the program exit by double clicking on the component in your project or examining the SAP code to find the corresponding check of the function code triggered. For the appropriate function code, you will see a CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION statement.
10. The last way of adding functionality is through area menus. An area menu is a transaction that serves as a collection point for several other transactions. Unlike other dialog transactions, area menus do not have underlying programs, hence, you cannot append your own functions to them.
No screens accompany an area menu. An area menu has only one title and status, both of which are assigned by the system. Area menus allow you to create menus containing functions that are customized for a particular function in your company. Creating an area menu is similar to creating a standard menu. However, instead of specifying functions for menu options you specify transaction codes.
To navigate to area menus choose Development -> Other tools -> Area menus. The name of the area menu should be same as that of the function code of the menu exit.

My Menu bar has disappeared and it does not show up in any menu for toolbars

I must have hit a wrong shortcut or something.
My bookmarks bar and menu bar disappeared.
I was able to restore the bookmarks bar in customize the usual way.
But in every place I can get the little toolbar menu, it only shows the Bookmarks bar, not the the Menu bar
How can I get my menu bar back???

Transaction iView - SAP GUI for HTML - Problem while hiding menu bar

Hello all,
I am trying to hide the OKcode field and the Menu button in a Transaction iView of type SAP GUI for HTML. I am following the SAP note 1010519. However, nothing seems to change, even after adding the parameter ~webgui_simple_toolbar = 0 or any other value.
I added the parameter to the service: default_host ->sap -> bc -> gui ->sap -> its -><b>webgui</b>
After going through few posts relating to this issue, I figured out that passing application parameters would not work. Also, using IAC is not an option for me.
Can someone help? How can I hide the OKCode field and Menu bar?

Maintaining the parameter
~WEBTRANSACTIONTYPE EWT
will solve your problem. You can also create an IAC iview. Here is a document for the same.
