Hide Button in WD4A which is generated at Runtime

Hey Folks,
Issue is related to POWL relatively newer concept to me.
I need to hide a create sales order button in customer search iView from those displayed on my POWL-ALV Toolbar .
As of my understanding i found two prospects of those buttons being on toolbar:-
1:-They are configured at runtime from
Class:CL_POWL_EASY_FEEDER
2. While initilization of powl_table_comp
Any thoughts on this? Does the POWL component configuration need to be done ? Pardon my ignorance on this. I would be really thankful to someone who can throw a light on this.

Hi,
First you need to figure out where the button is being dynamically generated. Then you can use the enhancement framework to hide the button (Change the visibility of the button) once it is generated. The enhancement framework allows you to add code at certain positions within the application. You will have to find a point after the button is generated.

It all depends on what kind of change you're trying to accomplish...
If you need to customize the layout you should create a template for it in SE80.
If you would just like to change the colours or font then you could create your own theme and customize the css files.
Let us know the extent you'd like to change the behaviour.

Everytime I open a website apart from popular ones, firefox shows ads with open/hide buttons which are not served by the website actually. What to do?

if i could show you a screen shot.... that would have cleared the situation. ads show up in left bottom corner with open/hide button in a frame. and the same ads show up in every html plugin on the webpage especially in facebook social plugins. however on google, mozilla, facebook, twitter there comes no ad like this. Its very annoying. I recently uninstalled firefox for the same reason but nightly is having the same problem. and let me tell you there is no such thing in other browsers like chrome and i.explorer. I like firefox i dont want to change it but i will have to if the problem persisted. :( please help.

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

CHM buttons are not localized in a French project (shows English Contents, Index, Search, Print, Hide buttons)

I opened an old WinHelp project into my new RoboHelp 7. When
I generate the CHM, even with the Project Settings in RoboHelp set
to French and running in a French Windows operating system (MS
Windows XP Pro 2002 SP 2), the CHM output is still in English. The
buttons display in English (Contents, Index, Search, Print, Hide
buttons). The title bar of the CHM also says "HTML
Help" even though the project title in the Project
Settings is "Aide en ligne...".
My Windows Regional Settings through the Control Panel -
Regional Options tab is set French (France). On the Languages tab I
under Text Services and Input Languages, Details button, I selected
French (France) French. On the Advanced tab I selected French. Then
I rebooted.
On the language bar on my Task pane, I selected FR. The CHM
still displays in English.
Please help! I have to produce 4 CHMS in languages other than
English today.

files look ok on a PC with a true French OS installed?
To avoid having to rewrite everything, I've written the
following info/instructions for my team -- though I'm not yet sure
they're 100% correct:
After I reported this issue to Adobe, they worked on the
problem for several days. They even sent me a new
HtmSingleSourceHtmlHelp.dll file that was supposed to solve the
problem. But it didn't work correctly. No matter what contortions
we put ourselves through, we couldn't get both of these items
correct in the CHM file at the same time, namely:
Index compiled in correct alphabetical order accdg to the
language of the help project.
Correctly translated help title showing in the caption,
regardless of the user's Windows regional settings. (For example,
we wanted "FORMS-Hilfe zu FORMS 5-3" to appear as the caption of
the German version of FORMS help, even if our regional settings
were set to English.)
I think we'd all agree that the index has to be in
alphabetical order. So from what I've seen, this is what we have to
do when compiling a non-English version of help using RH7:
1. Set up the project with the foreign name.
2. Set the language in the project settings. And in the
Project Settings dialog, click Advanced and check out the LNG File
tab to make sure it's using a translated version.
3. Ensure that the Window Caption setting is correct in each
window included in the project. (On RoboHelp's Project tab, open
the Windows folder, double-click each window in turn, and check the
settings.)
4. Set the Language setting in the HHP file to Language=[hex
value for that language]. I found a bunch of them listed on this
web page. Someone else might be able to find a better source:

5. Change your Windows regional settings to the same language
as the help project. (Reboot if prompted.)
6. Recommended, for safety's sake: Delete the CPD file.
7. Open the project and compile using RH7.
8. Check the index's sort order -- is it in alphabetical
order according to the language of the project?
9. Check the help caption -- make sure it's not "HTML Help".
Note: Any customized buttons in your CHM should appear
correctly translated, but other buttons (Contents, Index, Search)
still appear in English -- at least they do on my PC, even though I
did step 2 above. We need to check whether those buttons appear
correctly when the PC is actually running a true foreign version of
Windows, and not just with temporarily adjusted Windows settings.
OR -- is anyone else able to get these to appear translated in the
CHM file?
Does anyone have anything to add? Other solutions? Easier
procedures? Better results to report?

You can use PPR.
Step 1. create a VO which contains one transient attribute of type boolean
Step 2. Base button rendered property using SPEL
Step 3. Initialize your VO for PPR(inintialization includes insertion of one row and set the attribute as True)
Step 4. In the event handler where you want to hide button just set it false.

Interactive PDF show/hide button not working properly

I could use some help. I'm creating an interactive pdf using show hide buttons. A button is set to hidden and a second button controls it's visible on mouse enter and mouse exit. Sometimes these buttons which are set to visible turn to invisible in the general/form field propery window and stop working. I've tried replacing the buttons with new ones, but this hasn't helped. Is this a bug or do you think the document is corrupt. This is a large prototype file which has to be shown to a client and rebuilding it is not a welcome thought.
Is there a way to program this using java to create this function? (I'm a Java novice.)

HI PAUL, WE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. SO, IF YOUR USING INDESIGN CS2 OR 3 WE HAVE FOUND THAT BY MAKING A NEW BUTTON WITH ALL THE ACTIONS YOU WANT IN A NEW DOCUMENT ON THE MASTER PAGE AND THEN COPYING AND PASTING THE NEW BUTTON INTO YOUR ORIGINAL FILE ONTO THE PAGE MASTER THIS USUALLY SOLVES THE PROBLEM.

Firefox "Hide" button issue

I'm using RoboHelp Office X5.02 and I'm experiencing the
issue in Firefox in which the Webhelp "hide" button doesn't
display. I found a response to this issue last year, and it said to
find and edit the "whtbar.js" script in C:\Program Files\RoboHelp
Office\RoboHTML\WebHelp5Ext\template_skin and
\template_skinpreview\template_skin so that the line that contains
"else
if(sType==”hide2”&&(!gbNav4)&&(!gbOpera))"
is shortened to just "else if(sType==”hide2”).
So I made the fixes in these directories AND in the folder in
which I published the output. However, when I regenerate the
output, the whtbar.js file reverts back to the original file, even
though I changed it in the RoboHelp directory.
I KNOW this fix works because I did it once before in another
help project, which has been republished several times since (and
the hide button still displays in Firefox)
Why wouldn't my changes "stick" this time? What should I
check or do differently?

Jim,
Use the old tried-and-true method of copying whtbar.js to
another directory, then copying it over the file created by
RoboHelp during regeneration. I have several files like that
(hacked) and I keep them in a separate folder and do the paste
first thing after building the help. RoboHelp overwrites changes to
most files when it runs.

What do you mean by dynamically? When yo set up a 2D bar code field you specify which field name/value pairs you want to include, along with other parameters. But be aware that they won't work with Reader unless you Reader-enable the document with LiveCycle Reader Extensions and include the bar code usage right. It will work with Acrobat Standard/Pro.

How can I get the MDX-statement which is generated in a query?

Can I somehow get the MDX statement, which is generated when I create a Query via BeX Query Designer? I am using JCo to connect to BW (3.0b) and to execute MDX statements from a standalone JAVA-application. It would be very helpful to have the statements, so that I don't have to create them by myself.
If this it not possible...is there any reference regarding the MDX statements, I could use?

The Query Designer generates no MDX, so you can't find any persisted MDX Statements. But you can do a trick, you can use the SAP BW OLE DB Provider in Excel. This Tool generates MDX Statements check this link:

Hide Button in Applications WD ABAP Travel Standard

Dear Experts.
Please Someone can help me with suggestions for the following issue that I have in this moment:
I need hide the button "Entrada Nueva" "New Entry" for the component[ fitv_vc_advances|http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/2719/fitvvcadvances.png]
I found that this is posible using the t.code FITVFELD_WEB that controls the input fields within the portal.
But I am checking and I don't find this with this t.code for hide this button.

Hi,
are you using ESS in portal?
you can hide button through iView
choose iView form Content Management, then preview.
press "Ctrl" button (@ button you want to hide) combine with right click of your mouse, then you can set the button invisible.

Disable / Hide Portal PCD roles which we don't want to display in UME.

I have configured ESS/MSS setup in our Portal;
Step 1)
    a) We downloaded ESS/MSS business packages from SAP Market place
    b) Deployed into our Portal.
    c) I have checked in Portal Content Administration; ESS/MSS PCD objects i.e. Roles,Worksets,Pages and iViews were created inside the SAP Standard folder.
Step 2) As per my client recommendations u2013
   a) We donu2019t want to use PCD objects directly from SAP Standard folder and we will keep those PCD objects as backup. So,
   b) We created Client folder ex: xxABC inside Portal Content.
   c) I copied ESS/MSS PCD folder from SAP Standard Folder and Pasted inside folder xxABC; and then we customized Roles and worksets based on our requirements.
Step 3) Role assignment to Users
      When I search for ESS/MSS roles like u201CEmployee Self-Serviceu201D and u201CManage Self-Serviceu201D I am able to see each role twice u2013 one is from SAP Standard folder and another from client folder which I was copied.
So,
1) I donu2019t want to display ESS/MSS role which is inside of SAP Standard folder in UME(role search).
2) I donu2019t want to delete the role from this folder.
I got an Idea that is u2013 disable/hide Portal PCD roles which we don't want to display in UME while role search.
Please advise me, Is there any feature to disable/hide PCD roles in SAP Portal?
