HIDE - UNHIDE button on parrticular condition

i have created one screen on which 4 buttons are thr.....now i want tat 2 buttons shoud be shown on the screen at runtime when particular condition is meet otherwise they will remain hide or if thr is any particular error mesage is generated tat button should be shown on the screen.....

u can do like this
At selection-screen ouput.
loop at screen.
if screen-field = 'fieldname'.
screen-visible = 0.
modify screen.
endif.
implement the logic
if its a dialog program
then write the module in PBO
module ztest.
loop at screen.
if screen-field = 'fieldname'.
screen-visible = 0.
modify screen.
endif.
endmodule.

Hide/Unhide Button on a Custom Form?

Hello! I am looking for some ideas regarding the ability to hide/unhide a button on a custom form. Ideally, I would like to create an authorization group, if a user is a member of the authorization group, they can see the button, if not, the button is hidden. Is this something that can be done? If not, does anyone have another way of doing this? Thank you.

Are you asking specifically for Smartforms, SAPforms, Interactive Adobe forms? Or generally about UI programming?
Generally yes, this is possible and is also often done to give the user a more friendly interface to work with (without having to click on buttons, only to discover that they cannot use it anyway).
Many standard transactions are developed in this way.

Hi Andreas,
Use Generic Navigation Block to hide or unhide a keyfigure.
Use generic Navigation web item
Assign the report to the data provider
After execution select the navigation block and select the keyfigures and uncheck the check box for the keyfigure to be hidden.

Hi,
In the if condtion read the value of parameter [[You need to send it from first page]] and get it in process Request Method of controller of third Page and based upon it set the render property of that button & in the else condition set the render property to false.
You need to create a PVO & also create a Boolean attribute.
Set the render property in Property window like ${oa.xxPVO1.setRender} -- ${oa.viewInstanceName.viewAttributeName}.

Hide / unhide iviews in page

Hello,
I have successfully created an GP Process and implemented the call of the process by copying the inst application and entering the needed properties. Yet then I wanted to explore some other CE "features" and unfortunately hid the main iview, where my developed web dynpro components have been shown.
The corresponding command was:"User Settings of TextView "[Name of Action]" " --> "Hide TextView".
Could anybody give me a hint how I could unhide these views?

i think it is not possible to hide a column based on condition. but in webi 4.0 u have an option using which, u can hide/ show a table based on the user selection. in ur scenario, create two tables, one with value in USD and other in EU, super impose the table. then right onthe table and select "Format cell". in that u ll have a option to hide the table based on condition. select that and apply the condition.

In the above application, i have 2 buttons in page 5, (Report1 and Report2)
Where i have to disable button based on the following conditon:
i) USER whoever has Admin value 'Y' in my table can access the button.
for this i've written a Button Condition : Type (EXISTS)

note: i have empname same as my APEx user name. with Admin access 'Y'.
By using this code i can able to hide the button for users who has no Admin access.
But my requirement is : i have to show the button even if the user is not Admin, but to grey out (disable the button - no action)
I tried using javascript function:
function disableButton(pThis)
pThis.disabled=true;
But either of this (exists condtion or JAvascript function) works in my case and not both.
Any pointer on this would be highlt appreciated.

Couple of things:
1. I would never use v('APP_ITEM') but :APP_ITEM - it is faster and there is no need to use this function within an application
2. The way you are doing this check is not the best approach. You should create an authorization schema and run this once per session. Whatever this authorization is returning as a result you can check using the following Function returning boolean:
IF apex_util.public_check_authorization ('MY_AUTH') THEN RETURN TRUE; ELSE RETURN FALSE; END IF;

3. As far as disabling a button is concerned I think I explained the options. I also have an example on that here:

Is it possible to hide/unhide page in acrobat? How can I do?
Can it work in reader?

As it has been said, Acrobat can do it rather easily.
For Reader, there are some possibilities.
• You have access to the Reader Extensions Server (or whatever they call it today), and then you can spawn Template pages, and delete them again in Reader.
• You work with "virtual pages", by making the pages the icons of page-sized Button fields, and provide according navigation tools. Showing/hiding fields works in Reader without the need of any additionsl rights. It may, however, be a little bit unusual for the users.

If you are using the REUSE function, you can use the "EXCLUDING" parameter, and pass the FCODE for "Change Layout" to this table. This will remove the icon from the toolbar. Here is an example.

Hide/Unhide Columns in WEBI Report output

We have a WEBI report which has 2 columns/measures to display the cost in EUR and USD. User would like to have the flexibility to filter the column so as to display USD or EUR cost column. Is it possible to hide/unhide column in WEBI. Can we have a input control on multiple measures so that user can dynamically select which measures they want to see on report.
Its possible in BEx Analyser using filter option on key figure. Is simillar functionality available in WEBI? We're on BO 3.1 XI. Is thre any other way to achieve this?

Column hiding /unhiding based on a condition

I have a report in which I want to add "State" Column. But it show up only when "Region" = 'Northeast'. And do not show State for other "Region"
So basically, I want to hide "State" column dynamically based on condition where "Region"='Northeast'.
Would Siebel On Demand let us do Column hiding /unhiding based on a data condition?

I don't think SOD lets hide/unhide a column based on a condition. All you can do is restrict the number of rows using a filter.

Possible to hide / unhide slideshow captions?

You can try using Lightbox composition and then insert Tooltip in container area.
In tooltip settings, select stacked position and transition as vertical then it would be similar effect as you have mentioned. Arrange caption , navigation buttons in same area so that they should show up as inline.
