Hiding internet explorer bars in 10g forms

Hi,
Can anyone tell me that how to hide internet explorer bars in 10g forms so that i can veiw my forms applications with applet only on my how screen. i m not talking about full screen view.

You have 3 options:
1. Use separateFrame=true as Francois suggested.
However, this always keeps an idle browserwindow open which cannot be closed. This is not acceptable for most users.
2. use Javascript to start Forms in a browser window without browser attributes.
You can download a utility from www.sourceforge.net, project TransferWare, package FormsStart.
3. You might use Java WebStart instead of a webbrowser to start Forms without a browser.

Note, however, that this is not supported by Oracle. It works for us and we have implemented it with one of our customers, they are very happy with it.
Note also that you need some workarounds when using WebStart with Java 1.6.0.12 or 1.6.0.13. These are also discussed in the above mentioned blog.

Save form when exiting internet explorer

Hello.
Is there a way to check if there is some data unsaved in form, when the user uses internet explorer close button (X)?
Problem:
When the user uses X (internet explorer) to close the form, then everything is closed and unsaved data is lost. I want to prevent that.

Hi,
you can create a WHEN-WINDOW-CLOSED Trigger, in which you ask the user whether he/she wants to save or rollback the work.
The only thing is that this trigger does not respond to the "x" of the internet explorer, but it responds to pressing the "x" of your Forms window.
Try looking at Windows options.

Accessing oracle 10g form through LAN

i have just started working on oracle form 10g,here i have created a shortcut for accessing this form & named this form as "Oracle".so that everytime when i click on the shortcut the particular form get opened......
Now i want this form to be accessed through LAN,i mean whenever any particular user write http:\\oracle in the internet explorer bar ,the form("ORACLE") which is stored in my PC,shud get opened......
so what i need to do here....is there any need like IIS server or wat............

Internet Explorer for 2010 MacBook Pro

I have a 2010 MacBook Pro running OSX 10.9.2 and I need to run Internet Explorer to complete regulatory forms at the Energy Information Agency. I have tried CrossOver (which doesn't work) and can't download Virtual Box. Neither Safari nor Firefox is supported by the EIA. I could use Chrome if it were 64-bit. Does anyone have any suggestions? Short of buying a windows machine? Thanks.

Do you have any objections to running Windows on your Mac? That is the other way to get guaranteed IE compatibility. Since you just need to get at the web browser, you could use free VirtualBox and install the most minimal compatible Windows version you can find (like this one). This would be much cheaper than buying a Windows machine.
Also, you could try running IE within CrossOver, which is not a full virtualizer but seems to be able to run Windows IE on a Mac without having to buy/install Windows. I have not tried this myself, though; because I use Parallels Desktop to run Windows 8 only when needed.

I think Safari should be able to access any site IE for Mac does. Actually it doesn't have such a good compatibility with websites, as it doesn't use the same rendering engine as IE for Windows. Typically, when I can't access a website in Safari, I can't access it in IE for Mac either.
However, it is obvious that you have an issue with Safari and that it needs to be solved. I think that for that kind of question, which has more to do with web browsers than your specific hardware (the PowerBook) you should post something in the Safari section, as you will find more people capable of answering your question.
In the meantime, you were talking about "void scripts", and your first post suggests something to do with Javascript. Do you have any other precision ?
In your Safari Preferences, under the Security tab, do you have Javascript (or any other feature) disabled ?
My bank gave me their own little app that automatically connects to their servers, eliminating the need for a web browser. Have you checked to see if yours offers anything similar ?

Forms not showing full screen in Internet Explorer 10g ver 10.1.2

Hi to all, I install Database Server 10g R2 Ver 10.2.0 on Win XP and running fine.
I installed Develeper Suite 10g ver 10.1.2 on client now the senerio is that when i compile and run my form it runs in Internet Exploper but it show the half screen on Explorer. but when i run my reports it show full screen on Internet Explorer.

Hiding the menu bar of acrobat when opening in internet explorer

Hi, i remember vaguely about a certain suffix you can give to the link of a pdf file so that when it opens inside internet explorer, it does not show the menu bar. Could someone help me out and tell me what this suffix is?
I remember it was something like.... www.asfg.com/mypdf.pdf#NOMENU or something.
If there is any other way to do this, it would be appreciated as well.

Spry Menu Bar Horizontal Problem in Internet Explorer

I'm having a problem with a spry menu bar. It works fine in Firefox and Google Chrome, but in Internet Explorer the submenus shift to the right.

DON'T GIVE UP ON ME. PLEASE.

Horizontal Menu Bar - Not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer

My issues are occuring in Internet Explorer 8 and 7, haven't tested earlier versions.
I am currently using DW CS5, Spry 1.6.1
The website (not yet complete) is at www3.sympatico.ca/mitchell.richard/
The menu bar as viewed in Firefox is correct. In Internet Explorer the menu bar is left justified, hides visited links, and lists horizontal menu items in reverse order.
I work for a Women's Shelter in Canada, as the Information Systems Manager. We don't have the funds to hire someone to build a website and it was decided and I quote "You know computers, you can buld the website". I couldn't get them to understand the analogy that just because a Neurosurgeon can use a scalpel he isn't a Cardiothoracic Surgeon... needless to say, I am floudering on this menu bar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The red coloured line causes your menu to be displayed the wrong way round in FF. IE shows the menu as you have listed it with Contact Us as the first item.
Advice:
change the float to left so that the listed items start on the left hand side
change the listed items in the order that you want them to appear.

Oracle forms application doesn't open in Internet explore 8 Windows 7 OS

I am not able to open Oracle forms application in interent explore Windows 7 OS but i can able to open IE in windows xp OS . i have deployed my fmx in Oracle application server in Linux server. i am trying to open in explore 8 in windows 7 os in client system. the application didn't open. i am trying to follow below steps mentioned in our forum URL

1. Open Internet Explorer 8
2. Go to Tools, Internet Options
3. Click on the Advanced tab.
4. Scroll down into the Security section and find “Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks”.
5. Uncheck “Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks”.
6. Click Ok and Ok again.
7. restart your computer
in Internet Explore 8 (64 bits) not able to find the "Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks" option under Security. where as Internet Explore 8 (32 bit) i am able find but i couldn't unchek. since it is not editable.
Kindly advice and more over i have given below details in formsweb.cfg file and please suggest anything to be modified in this for Windows 7 OS. Your early reply is very much valuable.
