Hiding Quick Help Link and Force Display Explanation Message

Hi,
We are using the Talent Profile window in Talent Management and have added custom help text in the explanation hierarchy elements for each view using Floorplan manager configuration. The requirement is for this help text to always be shown when the user views the screen. Also immediately to the right of the explanation text is a link "Hide Quick Help". We would like to Hide/remove that link from the screen so that the users will not accidentally hide the help text in the explanation UI element. Now I have searched the forums here and saw threads such as Show explanation by defaul ("Display Quick Help")? and How to hide Display Quick Help and More Field Help and others. I have tried using the application parameters WDDISABLEUSERPERSONALIZATION and WDHIDEMOREFIELDHELPASDEFAULT.The setting WDDISABLEUSERPERSONALIZATION = X successfullyremoved the personalization options from the context menu. I tried WDHIDEMOREFIELDHELPASDEFAULT and if the user had previously selected "Hide Quick Help", setting this parameter to either X or space did not bring up the Explanation text when that user closed out of and then re-entered the application. Does anyone know how to force this text to display regardless of what the user previously selected?
Also I am at a lost as to how to get rid of the link "Hide Quick Help". Any help will be appreciated.

Was a solution found for this. I also have this request and the setting WDHIDEMOREFIELDHELPASDEFAULT does not solve this.

I have the same thing happening on my iPod Touch 5th gen. Been happening for at least a month. I have updated to the most recent version of iOS which hasn't solved the issue. Must be a bug that they didn't get around to resolving yet, a year later. Really annoying to have it pop up when you are in the middle of a game though.

Currently we are using function module crm_order_maintain outside Loop i.e calling once for all the contracts as sap crm performance standard ,
Is there any standard documentation where we can find that states CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN should be only used outside loop,
As some are telling us to use in Loop Endloop because of timeout error in background job with contract having 180 line items,Which i feel that this create unneccessary load on execution (Not Recommendable)
Please share any comments and suggestion this and also provide me the SAP Help Link on this

I am writing to inform you I have had my iPod for about 6 years now and it has slowly got to the stage where it no longer turns on. My iPod began freezing every now and then (for a few seconds now) and then this problem escalated to the stage where it began to freeze for days. I am now at the stage where it doesn't switch on at all, in fact everytime I try to switch on my iPod the following message appears on the screen, 'Please Wait, Very Little Battery' despite the fact that the iPod is currently being charged. I haven't used my iPod for months and was wondering if this promblem can be fixed or am I entitled to any upgrades.

Did you try to let it connected to USB for charging for a while before asking it anything. When the battery is deeply drained, it can occur that the iPod displays nothing for half an hour, just charging.
Also, make sure your PC gives sufficient power to the iPod for charging, I let mine once for six hours charging on my work's pc, and it didn't display "charged" message even after the 6H charge.
When an USB device is requiring more power than it can receive from the plug it is in, MacOSX advices it to user, It seems that Windows doesn't.

Need Quick Help: LR and PS issue

In my work flow, I do all of my adjustments in LR but I do send certain photos into PS to get fine tuned and then the file is usually re-imported back into LR so that I can organize my files and upload them to various sites and services.
The issue that I am having now, is that when I choose to save the photo as a full sized JPEG it no longer automatically imports in back into LR even if I manually do it. It only re-imports the photos automatically if I save it as a Tiff.
Someone recommended on another forum that I might need to change the file names which worked, but no longer linked the photo to the original cr2 file.
Could anyone help me resolve this issue?

You might want to read the thread. The OP is rendering the file to PS. Irrespective of whether the RAW file is converted to DNG or not this requires the creation of a TIFF or PSD.
Converting a TIFF to DNG would be pointless ,DNG is a TIFF itself, and create larger files as TIFF's zip compression, which is lossless, is not only the same as used by DNG but can also support layers which DNG cannot.
Personally the only time I open a file from LR into PS is when I have a issue that requires the use of layers as anything else editing wise can be done in LR. I always save with the layers intact so I can reopen if I need. This does create pretty large files, from even smallish originals, let alone 21 MP cameras. However I have loads of hard drive space. If you are short of hard drive space then just enable TIFF's zip compression, this will be at the expense of longer save and open times, but otherwise have no effect on the files itself other than reducing its size considerable.

And this is more than "plausible", it is "confirmed" (if you watch MythBusters). There are update log files that clearing show what is happening and why.
The most disturbing thing about this "bug", is that it clearly shows that nearly everyone is performing there "normal" activities (browsing, email, etc.) from an account with Admin privs. This means that when ('''not "if"''') the latest version of an infection gets past your AV shield (they can only block the ones already reported), it has access to every sensitive part of your system. I could give a long explanation of infections with a lot boring details, but just believe this:

Hi there, suddenly I can't send email from my iphone. I use mac mail, have deleted it, restored it, done a sync to my mac book, read endless help paged and still get the message *unable to connect to smtp.me.mail . Some one please help!!!

Does anyone know why my mac/me mail would suddenly stop sending mail? Happend a few weeks back since the software update and now won't send a thing. LIke I said I deleted the acount, set it up again, did a sync to my mac book, checked settings again and still it wont send mail. Received fine.
I've looked through the threads but cant find one for me/mac mail on the iphone with same problem

I spoke with Apple Support this morning and they believe anything MobileMe related is due to the conversion over to iCloud that's taking place.
As for other email clients, check with your host to see if settings have changed on their end. I use inmotionhosting.com and over the weekend the updated their outgoing requirements so that a password authentication is now needed.
Hope that helps get some on the right path to resolving their issues!

Help Pls, How to display feedback messages to the user on 10.1.3

Hi, can anybody explain how to use the <html:messages> tag and the SaveMessages( request , ActionMessage ) on an 10.1.3 ADF application?
There is not such a logic on the ToyStore sample and my requests for help on this thread "Internal Error" on saveMessages(...) has been ignored ....

If you are not ready to migrate, you can also develop in JDeveloper 10.1.2 and deploy to 10.1.3. The documentation to do so should be available shortly.I will repost when it becomes available.

Delete Attachment link and the launchWebdynpro button in the UWL iview

Can anyone help me in deleting or hiding the Attachment link and the launchWebdynpro button in the UWL iview. I dont want to do it in the iview properties which would affect all the tasks. Is there a way I can do it in the backend.\

I have the same problem. How can I remove the link? After I called the mentioned function module, the attachment was removed (content) but in the UWL the file name is still there:
From UWL:

myDeletedFile.pdf   <-- I removed this one with the function module

How can i display a message box when error comes in jsp?

Hi,
i need to display a message box whenever an error comes in my jsp. Actually my appln is that i am creating a bar chart using one applet by taking data from the database. When a user does not select a number data for y axis, now in the centre of the web page one java error is coming. "not in number format". it is looking very odd.
so i want to display the error in a message box whenever it comes as above. pls help me how can i do the same...

displaying as a message box?Either way. You can have the JSP send a message to the applet to display a message box. Or you can just have the JSP do it. or you can have the applet detremine if the JSP would produce an error and then display the message it would display.

Need to display the messages in a view which has the pop up on it

Hello all,
I have a view(View 1) in which if i click a button a pop up is being displayed.
Now on the pop up(which has view 2 of window 2) i have a button(Ok) and if i click it then based on a condition i need to close the pop up and then display the message in the message area of View 1.
Now if i click the button on the Pop up then it is being closed and the message is not being displayed on view 2.
I think the message is being displayed on the pop up and is being closed after that.
How can i display my message on View 1.
Any ideas...Please help

Stop displaying a message when button is pressed more than one

I have a forms with button 'save' and when user pressed this button i do some checks and display a message, what i want is to display the message only the first time user presses the button, if user presses the button again and again, message should not be displayed...but i do not know how to fix this, has someone an idea? Thanks.

Take a look at About Global Variables. You might also want to bookmark the Oracle Forms Documentation web site.
Basically, you will use a Global Variable as a counter. In your button code, you check the value of the Global Var to see if it is greater than 1. If it is, you exit. If it is not (in other words the Global is equal to zero) then you add 1 to the variable and you display your message. Pretty basic stuff.

If I put an explanation element on a web dynpro view, and if I use the design "Emphasized", it is disabled by default. To see it, users have to right click and select "Display Quick Help".
Is there a way to display, not hide, such an explanation by default?

You can use the following code in WDDOMODIFYVIEW. It will never let user disable the quick help.

Go to the develop module and highlight all of the images in the filmstrip at the bottom of the screen. Then activate Auto-sync and click on the Reset button. That should reset all of the images to your camera default settings.
