Hiding the Key column in EVS

Hello,
Can anyone please let me know if there is a way to suppress the Key column in the ExtendedValueSelector ui that appears for IModifiableSimpleType ?
Thanks and Best Regards, Ritu

Hi Ritu,
as Armin said, contact the local Web Dynpro control prime minister I wouldn't have dared to propose this.
Best regards

    Hi
    I am doing DataBase Lookup in XI
    First i have created a  Table in Database( CheckUser) which has two fields UserName and PhoneNumber and then i have created
    I have created one Communication Channel For Reciever Adapter .
    I have given the parameters like this
    JDBC Driver : com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
    Connection : jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://10.7.1.43:1433;DatabaseName=Ravi;
    UserName.... sa
    password.... sa
    persistence : Database
    Database Table Name : CheckUser
    Key column name and Value column name i left blank and activated
    and then
    I have created
    Data Types : Source ...... UserName
                      Destination.... PhoneNumber
    Message Types
    Message Interfaces
    In Message Mapping
                  I have created one User Defined function DBProcessing_SpecialAPI().This method will get the data from the database....
    In this function i have written the following code
       //write your code here
    String query = " ";
    Channel channel = null;
    DataBaseAccessor accessor = null;
    DataBaseResult resultSet = null;
    query = "select Password from CheckUser where UserName = ' " +UserName[0]+ " '  ";
    try {
         channel = LookupService.getChannel("Ravi","CC_JDBC");
         accessor = LookupService.getDataBaseAccessor(channel);
         resultSet = accessor.execute(query);
         for(Iterator rows = resultSet.getRows();rows.hasNext();){
              Map  rowMap = (Map)rows.next();
              result.addValue((String)rowMap.get("Password"));
    catch(Exception e){
         result.addValue(e.getMessage());
    finally{
         try{
              if(accessor != null)
                   accessor.close();
         }catch(Exception e){
              result.addValue(e.getMessage());
    And the i have mapped like this
    UserName -
    > DBProcessing_SpecialAPI----
    >PhoneNumber
    when i am testing this mapping i am getting the following error

  • Reconciliation and the Key Column for Oracle DB

    I have a oracle DB with the key column called employee number (ie. 12345)
    In the form for my reconciliation, I assigned the employee number to an extended attribute called employeeId as below. This field is defined in the User Extended Attributes object already.
    <Field name='accounts[Lighthouse].employeeId'>
    <Expansion>
    <ref>global.identity</ref>
    </Expansion>
    </Field>
    When I view a user in the debug page, I don't see the employeeId being populated. Do you know why?
    Thanks

    Yes, I'm able to populate other fields fine. Right now I just populated the 7 fields within IDM. The problem is the employee number is the key column in the schema and with ActiveSync, it works fine right now using ActiveSync.identity so I tried the same thing for reconciliation but it does not seem to work.
    I could try to map the employee number in the schema but i want to try to figure out other ways first.

  • The key columns of the country measure group attribute do not match in either number or data types to the key columns of the source attribute

    I have a country dimension which is used in 5 cubes. Now I want to change 'key column' property of the country attribute. Whenever I do this, I get an error as "The key columns of the country measure group attribute do not match in either number or
    data types to the key columns of the source attribute". I dont understand what this error is about.
    Can someone please help? Thanks in advance.

    sounds like you need to verify your dimensional usage tab to verify the relationships between dim and fact on the measure group.
    Hi Talktorajpatil,
    As Jon said, you can verify the relationships between dim and fact on the measure group on the dimensional usage tab. Use this section to define how you "join" your measure groups to your dimensions.  There may be a Dimension-Measure Group relationship
    that is defined using the wrong attributes and you'll need to select the correct attributes to link the Dimensions to the measure groups. Here are some similar thread for your reference.

  • Hiding the cost column in Billing document

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to hide the COST column in transaction VF01, VF02; VF03.Please let me know if any body has any clues.
    In the current system there are two companies.
    Company 1 Users should not see cost; Company 2 Users has to see the cost.
    I have two options:
    Option One:
    We can hide the cost column by changing the screen variant.
    Impact:
    This is hiding total system so that both the users can not see the cost .
    This is not accepting by IT team.
    Option two:
    We can define new transaction copy of VF01, VF02, and VF03. (Transaction Variant)
    That will be ZVF01, ZVF02, and ZVF03.For this new transaction we can create a screen variant to hide the cost Authorization to assess of VF01, VF02 and VF03 will be removed to Company 1 users.
    Impact:
    If we remove the authorization to VF03 to customer service people.
    Through document flow customer service user cannot see billing document. They need to enter ZVF03 to see billing document.
    This solution is not accepting by Business (Customer service).
    It will be great full if someone can through some light on this.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Drill Down and Hiding the Previous Column

    Hello Everyone:
    I am trying to know if this is possible at all using OBIEE.
    I have a table with the following drill down:
    Award
         Program
              Department
                   Section Sales, Profit, Costs
    I am able to drill down from award to section just fine. But When I drill down the table gets wider and wider rendering the table unacceptable. Is there away to possibly drill down from 1 to 2 and hiding or not showing 1?
    Drill from Award to Program, but hide award when I am at program level etc…?
    Thank You
    Adel

    Ouch, its a common requirement but sadly not suppoted out of the box.
    I think Goran blogged about 'Navigate in place' but it involves custom iframes etc. so may be a bit of a ballache.
    here it is :
    http://108obiee.blogspot.com/2009/06/same-page-navigation-drills-using-drill.html
    Some other 'nearly there' workarounds exist tho, theres a trick to use a column selector and replace one column with a concatanated <column 1>'-'<column 2> but you'll lose furthur drill functionality, indeed you'd need to configure this for every level,
    I'll try and dig the link out if you interested, its not that tidy though.

  • Hiding the Birthday Column in the search help in transaction PA20

    Steps to generate the issue.
    1) Goto transaction PA20.
    2) Use the search help (Press F4) in the personnel number field.
    A search help pops up.
    3) In the 'Last Name - First Name' tab enter 'M*' in the 'Last Name' field and select the enter button.
    A list of employees is displayed. In my system along with the last name and first names the employees birthday is displayed.
    The business would like this field hidden as they have decided that this is sensitive information that they do not want everybody to have access to.
    Can this be hidden by making a change to configuration? How do I go about this?

    Dear Mark,
    After pressing F4, when the list will be shown, select the heading of the birthday coloumn, right click, then select personalize, then select Birth date, and click hide fields switch which is in the same screen, then click enter.
    See your problem is solved.
    Thanks & Regards

  • EVS - renaming the first column

    Hi everyone,
    I've done an EVS. It works good.
    I do not success renaming the first column which has the name "key".
    If I write :
    ISimpleTypeModifiable myType = wdThis.wdGetAPI().getContext().getModifiableTypeOf("CompanyCodeContext");
    IModifiableSimpleValueSet values=myType.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
    myType.setFieldLabel("Company Name");
    This code will rename the decription column but not the key column.
    Is it possible to rename the key column ?
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi David,
    The answer is "no": this value is static rather then based on type info.
    On other hand, there is even a WD bug with second column name: actually it should be columnLabel (and it does not work) rather then fieldLabel.

  • Hiding different characteristic columns for 2 separate key figures - Part 2

    This is the case even if I hide display for FY / Period. I have even tried saving the query as a workbook and hiding the blank columns, but they are displayed again each time the workbook is refreshed. The workbook remains input ready, but before any values can be entered, the system asks for a refresh amd when I refresh, the hidden columns are displayed again.
    Is there any solution to this problem (maybe via SAP exit, etc.)? I am on the verge of providing the users with two different input ready queries, one for LV Budget and one for Budget, but this is not a good solution and these figures are related and we would like to input them in one place. Sorry for the long post, hope I have made myself clear. Any help provided is sincerely appreciated, thanks.
    Regards

    Hi,
    If you are trying this option then check the workbook settings for column width/ display format after refesh. Select the appropriate.
    I hope it will help.

  • Key Column Value in Geometry Theme

    Hi,
    I have serveral predefined ThemeBasedFOI Layer like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
    <styling_rules key_column="ID">
    <hidden_info>
    <field column="BAUFELDNUMMER" name="Baufeld-Nr."/>
    <field column="FLAECHE_TXT" name="Fläche (m²)"/>
    </hidden_info>
    <rule>
    <features style="C.QY_EG_BAUFELDGRENZE"> (FLAECHE &gt;= :1 AND FLAECHE &lt;= :2) </features>
    <label column="BAUFELDNUMMER" style="T.GP_BAUFELDNR"> 1 </label>
    </rule>
    </styling_rules>
    How can I access the value of the key column of each feature in the themebasedFOI layer?
    What I'm trying to do is calling MVThemeBasedFOI.getFOIData(). As a result i'm getting an Array of FOI data. Each element has an id-property, but unfortunately that ID is not the database ID i'm looking for. It looks likes "AAARYUAAJAAADBOAAN".
    Thanks
    Dominik

    The id value of the FOI data element should be the value of whatever column set as key_column. What's the mapviewer version? Did you restart mapviewer or clear the metadata cache after making changes to the themes?

  • Updating Key columns

    Hello,
    I would like to change the value of the key column within a table and also the reference tables. The key column exist as foreign key in 4 other tables. What is the best approach to accomplishing this?
    Wilford

    It depends on how many keys you want to change.
    If there are only a few, I would
    INSERT INTO parent VALUES (new_key,other_columns);
    UPDATE child
    SET fk = new_key
    WHERE fk = old_key;
    DELETE FROM parent
    WHERE pk - old_key;If you have to change most of keys, then I would
    Create a table with the old and new values of the PK.
    Drop or diable the FK constraints then,
    UPDATE parent p
    SET pk = (SELECT new_pk
              FROM translate t
              WHERE p.pk = t.old_key)
    WHERE EXISTS (SELECT 1
                  FROM translate t
                  WHERE p.pk = t.old_key);
    UPDATE child c
    SET fk = (SELECT new_pk
              FROM translate t
              WHERE c.fk = t.old_key)
    WHERE EXISTS (SELECT 1
                  FROM translate t
                  WHERE c.fk = t.old_key);Then re-apply the FK constraints. If you are changing all of the PK's then you can do without the WHERE clause in the UPDATE's.

  • Mapping a value to a key column

    Hi,
    I need some information in understanding the 2nd point from below
    "2. UPDATE statement changes City from SF to LA on the source. This does not succeed on the
    target. The SQLEXEC query looks up the City column in TCUSTMER1 and returns a value of
    LA. Based on the COLMAP clause, the before and after versions of City both are now LA.
    This leads to SQL error 1403 when executing the target WHERE clause, because a value
    of LA does not exist for the City column in the target table."
    I am unable to follow what exactly it states.
    Can some one explain with a good example?
    Reference:
    Mapping a value to a key column
    If using COLMAP to map a value to a key column (which causes the operation to become a
    primary key update), the WHERE clause that Oracle GoldenGate uses to locate the target row
    will not use the correct before image of the key column. Instead, it will use the after image.
    This will cause errors if you are using any functions based on that key column, such as a
    SQLEXEC statement.
    The following illustrates what happens:
    This is the SQLEXEC statement in the MAP statement:
    SQLEXEC (id mytest, query "select city from TCUSTMER1 WHERE state = 'CA'",
    noparams, ERROR RAISE),
    This is the COLMAP statement in the MAP statement:
    COLMAP ( usedefaults, city = mytest.city );
    This is the sequence of events:
    1. INSERT statement inserts the following:
    INSERT into TCUSTMER1 values (Cust = ‘1234’, Name = ‘Ace’, City = ‘SF’,
    State = ‘CA);
    Commit;
    This succeeds, because the SQLEXEC query will return mytest.city = ‘SF, so the target table
    also will have a value of SF for City and CA for State.
    2. UPDATE statement changes City from SF to LA on the source. This does not succeed on the
    target. The SQLEXEC query looks up the City column in TCUSTMER1 and returns a value of
    LA. Based on the COLMAP clause, the before and after versions of City both are now LA.
    This leads to SQL error 1403 when executing the target WHERE clause, because a value
    of LA does not exist for the City column in the target table.

    It's just saying (as far as i can tell) either don't do a pk (primary key) update.... or (presumably) if you must do a pk update, do not also try at the same time to map the pk column to the result of some GG function (e.g., a sqlexec). When you have a replicat map "colmap(usedefaults, pk=sqlexec.result)", then the "where" clause constructed to perform the pk update on the target DB will use the new, updated ("after") value of the pk, and not the old, original ("before") value. Therefore the row won't be found on the target, since the pk has not actually been updated yet.
    (To paraphrase, the docs could have just said: "See this? Don't do that.")

  • Set fixed key column position

    Hi together,
    I am using class CL_SALV_TABLE for displaying ALV outputs.
    I´ve defined several key-columns (method 'set_key') and use method 'set_key_fixation' .
    Since 'set_key_fixation' apparently only works when (at least) one key column is beeing display
    as the first column (position 1 of the ALV output table) I want to freeze the postion of the key column
    (...so that you can´t remove the column or move the column to another position)
    Any idea?
    Thanks vor any help

    Hi,
    This is probably another issue with SALV class... You could still grab a cl_gui_alv_grid object from your salv adapter and play with methods from this class (e.g. SET_FIXED_COLS)
    have a look to this blog: Power of ABAP Objects: Overcome the Restrictions of SALV Model
    Here we bypass the restrictions of the SALV model to enable the editable functionnality... guess you could work similarily for your issue...

    4. I think problem maybe is related with row key, but I need end user to change rowkey column value. does it allow changing the value of column as row key? I found this problem maybe only occur for new created row. For those existing rows, even I change the value of row key column, no such problem occurred, how do I handle this situation?
    Appriciate if anybody can help.

    Hi Bangaram,
    Thank you for your reply.
    The error: "Root cause error code is JBO-34014. Error message parameters are {0=oracle.jbo.Key[21 null ], 1=root} "
    I didn't create master records, I just used joint queries for information display of both master and detail. I am trying to create a row in the UI table to create a new detail record and master record already exists.
    The row key for new added row in UI rich table is [21 null ], row key of detail records table composes of 2 columns. 21 is for FixedSlotId and null is for SlotFromN. when I provide a new value for SlotFromN column in UI rich table, problem will occur.

  • Fiscal year in the columns outside the key figure structure

    Dear Experts
    I have a report requirement to show the keyfigures in the columns from year 1 to year 10 and in each year there are 4 keyfigures each restricted to 1 quarter for 4 quarters.
    So, there are too many keyfigures to create.
    I am using fiscal year in the columns outside the Key figure structure containing the keyfigures restricted at each of 4 quarters.
    So, when the report displays, all the 10 years will automatically be displayed.
    The problem is one of the 4 quarter level keyfigures needs to be restricted by calendar year.
    How can I read what is the fiscal year for each column at runtime so that I can reference this value to determine the calendar year ?
    As you know, each FY spans 2 Calendar Years. So, i need to restrict this on the 4th keyfigure by calendar year but while having the FY outside the keyfigure structure i can get all the FY, I am not sure how to access this value at runtime so that eg.
    if FY for column 1 is 2010, i can set calendar year to be 2010 to 2011.
    Hope you can give me some clues.
    Thanks you Gurus!
    Best regards
    John

    Dear Sunnybt
    Copy Riyes,  I find your response interesting. Please could you elaborate your idea of using condition in more detail.
    Sorry for my late response.
    Allow me to clarify my statement, which you are right, is unclear.
    By :
    "if the current QuarterFY is less than the current QuarterFY"
    I mean :
    eg. user enters FY range : 2009 to 20NN  (eg. 2017)
    KF_column1_FY2009_Q1______KF_column2_FY2009_Q2____KF_column3_FY2009_Q3______KF_column_FY2009_Q4______KF_column_FY2010_Q1______KF_column2_FY2010_Q2____KF_column3_FY2010_Q3______KF_column_FY2010_Q4_____KF_column_FY_NNNN_Q1
    For each column, where the FY can be any year range entered by user,
    the Text Description of the Column should show either 'Actual' or 'Plan' based on what is the current FY Quarter at runtime.
    If the FY Quarter (eg. 1st column is 200101) is before current FY Quarter (i.e 201103), then the Description of this column should be "Actual" , else "Plan".
    In my current design, I am unable to use customer exit text variable to meet this requirement.
    So, I like to check with you for fresher ideas.
    If not , I would use a workbook, which I am avoiding as the user needs to drilldown and I believe drilldown is not possible in workbooks where report layout needs to be rigid or cell positions fixed. Of course, unless there is a way out of this which I do not know.
    Best regards
    Bass
