Hiding the submit button on click

Hi All,
I have a req where i have 4 buttons which displays some info on the same page when clicked. if i click on button 1, button1 should not be displayed after clicking, if i click on button 2, button2 should not be displayed. I tried this using setRendered(false) in the PFR. But it throws an error that the webBean property should be modified in PF. How can i achieve this??
Thanks,
Sree

Create a property VO with the attribute of type Boolean. Using the SPEL expression technique, set the rendered property value to thie VO Attribute at the design time. When the button gets clicked, call the Some of the AMImpl method, which can set the Boolean.TRUE or Boolean.FALSE value based on your requirement. hope this helps.

When the user clicks the submit button for the second time they should be shown a popup stating "Submit button already been clicked, please clicked OK to continue".
    Can anyone help with this please , its really urgent requirement ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    I dont have any sample code to give you now. For quick reference, I can advice some psuedo steps to achieve your requirement. I dont have access to JDEV to test this. If any syntax errors then pls correct yourself.
    1. Extend Controller since it is standard page ( Refer Anil Passi site for steps to extend seeded ontroller)
    2. Write below logic in your Process Request method
    super.processRequest(oaPageContext, oaWebBean);
    pageContext.putSessionValue("status", "notInitiated");
    3. Include below logic in your PFR method
    if(pageContext.getSessionValue("status")!=null){
    if("notInitiated".equals(pageContext.getSessionValue("status")))
    super.processFormRequest(oapagecontext, oawebbean);
    pageContext.putSessionValue("status", "initiated");
    else
    String message = "Display error message as required";
    throw new OAException(message, OAException.ERROR);
    You may need to import required packages ( Related to OAException).
    Remeber, to sumbit the request, user need to refresh the page again so that "status" variable will be refreshed.
    Hope it helps.

  • Hiding the submit button on text fileds

    Wne we issus a form there are a few text only answers in it. How do I hide the submit button as there is nothing to submit. Seems daft there is not an option to not show submit for certain answers.
    Thanks
    LG

    I am not sure I understand your question. Do you want to hide the submit button until the user fill out all the fields? We do not support that but I think what you want is to make the fields required so that the when the filler tries to submit and there is missing data the user will be warned and the data won't be submitted until all fields are filled-in.
    You can mark a field as requered in the Property Panel

  • CP 8.01 - Hiding the Submit button when returning to Quiz slide

    Hi,
    After answering a quiz and returning to the same slide later on, the submit button is still present but disabled. I would like for it to be removed/hidden entirely since IMO, I do not think that you have to display it once you have answered the question. Is there a way to do this?
    David

    Captivate provides no way to do this. You cannot hide the Submit button another object either.

  • The submit button

    I'm having issues with the submit button.
    I'm using Acrobat X to design a fillable form, all was working well. When the submit button is clicked a window pops up asking if i'd like to use my desktop email application or i'd like to save the form to upload to an internet email later. No issues if I choose save form for internet email. If I choose use desktop email application, outlook launches and attaches a pdf to a new email, and fills in the to and subject lines of the email. Looks great, but it won't send. No error messages, nothing is greyed out, it just doesn't work.
    I've been doing some research and have read a lot of bad press about using a submit button, especially in Acrobat X. It seems to cause all sorts of issues. Is there another option?
    The form I'm designing will be sent out to clients, and all I need is to have a filled out form sent back via email. I don't want to make it any more complicated than it needs to be.
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

    It can be very simple, when it works. But as you've experienced directly, it doesn't always go so smoothly. There may be something you can do to get it to work on your system, but there will always be others it will never work for. My point in asking if it works when you manually attach the file to an email is to show you that alternative, which you should communicate to your users. Many people (me included) primarily use a web-based email system and access their email via browser. Acrobat/Reader doesn't currently work with such systems, so such users will have to manually attach.

  • The action for the submit button

    I know that when I insert a Submit button I need to go to the
    property inspector and point to an action file so it can receive
    the data and redirect the visitor to a confirmation page, but I
    have no idea how to make that file. Is there a template for
    something like that?

    quote:
    Should the button be processed in server for redirecting?
    I have added behaviors like Add Java scripts, Pop up Window
    but they are not seen when the submit button is clicked, neither
    would I receive any mail redirected.
    Actually, where would the "action for redirecting" for the
    submit button be processed? Does it depend on CS3 Program or the
    Server?
    Thanks for helping with instuctions.

  • Unable to capture the submit button event in OAF

    Hi
    I am facing a problem extending the NavigationCO controller on "/oracle/apps/per/selfservice/review/webui/ReviewPG". I just want to throw some exception when the user clicks the submit button in the PFR. I have used the following code but i did not find any solution. Can anyone help me out in this issue. When i used the first method its displaying some error on submitting the page but where as in the second method its commiting the data instead of throwing an exception.
    I tried the following methods:
    public class XXXNavigationCO extends NavigationCO {
    public void processFormRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
    if (pageContext.getParameter("HrSubmit") != null)
    super.processFormRequest(pageContext, webBean);
    pageContext.forwardImmediatelyToCurrentPage(null,true, "Y");
    throw new OAException("Test Message");
    else{
    super.processFormRequest(pageContext, webBean);
    2.
    public class XXXNavigationCO extends NavigationCO {
    public void processFormRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
    if ("HrSubmit".equals(pageContext.getParameter(EVENT_PARAM)))
    throw new OAException("gsgfshghjgashfa");
    super.processFormRequest(pageContext, webBean);
    }

    Hi Gaurav,
    Thanks for the repsonse. I tried the same code but its not throwing the exception its directly launching me the confirmation page. Actaully the controller is redirecting to confirmation page on submit. But now i want to check some condition on submit and throw an exception if the condition is not satisfied. If the condition is satisfied i want the seeded controller action to take place.
    I tried using "pageContext.forwardImmediatelyToCurrentPage" and "pageContext.forwardURLToCurrentPage" but i did not achieve success in it.
    If the above mentioned "pageContext.forwardURLToCurrentPage" is right could you please give me an example to get thjis resolved.

  • REP-50134 occurs when using the submit button on the Reports Parameter Form

    Good Morning,
    I get the "REP-50134: Cache subitem reports does not exist" error after clicking on the Submit Button from a Reports parameter form.
    I am using Forms/Reprots 9i.
    Using the source code given in the Whitepaper 'Oracle Forms Services - Using Run_Report_Object() to call Reports with a parameter form', all works well when paramform=no, but when I have a Form print a report with paramform=yes, the parameter form appears correctly, but generates the error after clicking the Submit Button.
    Any inputs as to causation or possible places to look to solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hello and thanks.
    The value in the tag is <form method=post action="reports?">
    Looking at this I suspect my problem is related to this setting. I am trying to follow all the instructions in the White Papers but they are a little confusing as they are not all exactly the same. Each attempts to explain a specific functionality without regards to the whole.
    For instance I believe I need to have the variables P_ACTION, P_USER_CONNECT and P_SERVER_NAME in the report being called and then add a Before Parameter Form trigger to reset the values. But this seems to duplicate and override what has already been sent via the REPORT_OTHERS property. It is a tad bit confusing.
    Can you confirm?
    Thanks for any clarification you can provide.

  • Using the Submit button to Email

    I was previously using Frontpage and I have just recently
    started using DW so a lot of this is still new to me. I did get the
    DW8 for dummies book which is helping a lot, although I know being
    a member on a forum like this will help much more. So any help is
    very much appreciated.
    I am new to this site and did a quick search but I wasn't
    able to find what I was looking for.
    I am basically planning on creating an order form using basic
    radio buttons and name, address, contact info, etc... fields.
    I wanted to have a button on the batton (like the submit
    button) that a customer could click on after filling out the
    specific fields and then the whole page/order form (with its
    contents) would be emailed to me.
    Could the "Submit" be used to do this? I know in the DW 8 for
    Dummies book it mentions that the Submit button is for credit card
    processing companies to send the info and then come back with the
    results, but I just want it to email the completed page/order form
    so the credit card can be processed in the office.

    > Why isn't it as simple as entering in a
    "mailto:[email protected]" type of
    > thing? Or is it?
    It is that simple. However, it is very unreliable. For it to
    work, the
    visitor filling out the form has to have a properly
    configured email client,
    that works with the webpage form. That leaves out people
    using webmail
    services and those using public computers. And- most
    computers will put up
    a warning screen that the form data is being sent by an
    insecure method and
    give the person a choice to send or cancel.
    >
    > Everything I seem to read talks about downloading a
    specific cgi-bin type of
    > thing depending on what my hosts' server has.
    Setting up a form processing script can be very simple.
    First step- check your hosting's support/FAQ section for info
    about forms
    and scripts.
    if your hosting has a control panel or CPanel, look there for
    a
    pre-installed script and instructions on using it.
    The free kaosmailer extension at
    http://kaosweaver.com will create
    the
    scripting for you, within dreamweaver, for your choice of
    asp/php/coldfusion. (pick the one your hosting supports)
    A php script is phpformmail at
    http://boaddrink.com
    An asp script is at
    http://www.brainjar.com/asp/formmail/
    A cgi/Perl script would be at
    http://nms-cgi.sourceforge.net
    (but it would
    be my last choice, a php script would be far easier to set
    up)
    Any further specifics totally depend on what scripting method
    you can use on
    this hosting, and on what script you want to use.

  • No "Submit to SAP" button, the submit button offered doesn't work

    Hello everyone,
    I am working with the interactive forms and I have tried going through the PDF about how to use an RFC with the interactive forms.  During the tutorial, they say to add a button called "Submit to SAP", but I don't have one.  I have groupings for Web Dynpro ActiveX and Web Dynpro Native, but neither of those have a "Submit to SAP" button, only regular submit buttons.  I have tried adding these submit buttons, but neither one actually submits my data.  When I click on them in the form nothing happens.
    I am running NWDS 7.0.10
    Thanks for the help,
    Logan

    We had the same problem and when we installed ACF on the client machine it resolved the problem.
    If you are using 04s you can use this link https://sapmats-de.sap-ag.de/download/download.cgi?id=HUU1XMYWJNEKKEXB7EG33N5LBBAXUEP4LBRZXKWFEZHBR74SWY
    to download ACF.
    Also, does this problem exist even when the Submit button is placed outside the Adobe form?
    thanks,

    Firefox does not fully load Barclaycard Authentication site. It loads as far as asking for certain letters in my pasword but does not load the "Submit" button so I cannot continue with my purchase and have to switch to IE8 browser to purchase anything over the internet. Any clues?
    == This happened ==
    A few times a week
    == Couple of weeks ago

    Your UserAgent string in Firefox is totally messed up by another program that you installed, and Barclays doesn't know you are using Firefox 3.6.6 - it probably looks like IE 6.0 to that website.
    [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent]
    type '''about:config''' in the URL bar and hit Enter
    ''If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.''
    Filter = '''general.useragent.'''
    Right-click the preferences that are '''bold''', one line at a time, and select '''''Reset''''',
    Then restart Firefox

  • Can't get the Submit button to work on Acrobat X

    I was having this problem on Acrobat 9 and so I bit the bullet and upgraded, hoping the problem would go away, but it did not.
    I have a simple form for an event which recipients will fill out and submit, emailing the entirePDF to others (not to me)
    I've done these forms a zillion times, no problemo, but this is the first time I've tried since upgrading from Entourage email to Outlook, and I have a sneaking suspicion the problem lies there somehow.
    Can install the button, all fine, but when I click it to test, I get this message:
    "An error occured while trying to create a mail document. Acrobat is unable to complete your request."
    Anybody know what I can do to fix this?
    signed,
    Desperate

    I gave up on the 'Submit' button long ago, as have others, I suspect.
    It fails in about half of the cases.
    Now I place a note at the top of the form instructing users how to manually attach the form to an email in case the button doesn't work – it's ridiculous. Thinking about it, it would be more clean-cut to get rid of the button alltogether.
    I also keep getting requests to provide forms as Word documents instead. Apparently people are way more comfortable with Word than willing to deal with idiosyncrasies in PDFs.

  • Can the submit button be deleted

    For the convenience of our learners, my manager would like me
    to delete the submit button from the multiple choice questions we
    are using in our movie. He would Captivate to provide feedback
    immediately after the learner clicks his/her answer in the radio
    button. Is this possible?
    Note that I have tried making the submit button transparent
    and placing it behind the radio buttons for all answer options.
    When this is done and an attempt is made to click a radio button,
    the radio buttons are unavailable and a failure message appears.
    Apparently, the submit button is over the radio buttons or at least
    not transparent so that they can be affected.
    JazzAl

    Rick:
    One more thought about eliminating the Submit button on
    multiple-choice questions.
    I now know that:
    1. I cannot delete the Submit button from a
    Captivate-generated multiple-choice question
    2. The function that the Submit button performs must be
    retained in multiple-choice questions to enable the scoring
    function, which I want to retain.
    3. Although I can make the Submit button transparent and put
    it in the same location as the answer options' radio buttons to try
    to make the learner's one click (that selects the answer option)
    activate both the radio button and the Submit button, the result of
    the click will be only clicking the Submit button. The radio button
    does not get marked as being selected.
    I would like to do some further work on trying to allow the
    learner to select his/her answer and click the Submit button on one
    click.
    On the theory that the radio button and the Submit button
    cannot be selected in one click because the is because the Submit
    button is in front of the radio button, I wonder if it might be
    worth it to try to go into the files that support the building of
    multiple-choice questions and attempt to change the layering order
    so that the radio buttons are in front of the Submit button? Do you
    think can be done? Do you think it might work? Thanks for any
    insights you might have on this idea.
    JazzAl
