High JMS payload processing in BPEL

Hi -
We need to process huge JMS messages through BPEL. Our current RAM size allocated to SOA JVM heap is 6 GB and process has 4 cores. While processing these messages soa server slows down too much.
Please provide suggestions how to handle this.
Thanks,
Ramesh

  • Problem with calling AQ JMS Adapter with Asynchronous BPEL Process

    I have a AQ JMS Adapter and i'm invoking the adapter in my BPEL process.
    I'm passing an xml as payload to AQ JMS adapter. When i post the xml in the BPEL Control, i'm getting the follwoing message:
    "Cannot find the specified instance". I have tried 3-4 times but getting same message all the time.
    However, i'm able to publish xml to JMS Topic with synchronous BPEL process.
    I want to use asynchronous BPLE process.
    Please let me know if there is a way to overcome this issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanx in Advance.

    I am experiencing the exact same issue while configuring for Tibco EMS!!!
    I have also checked the oc4j-xa.xml file etc and I am also unable to find any guidance on the steps required from XML config files through to adapter wizard entries!

    One of the issues with using the validate activity in BPEL is that when the error is thrown it throws it with little information.  Mediators however give much more information as they throw a remote exception and this can be caught. If you require detailed fault information to be sent back to the caller, then one solution is to use a mediator with validation as a callout (echo service etc).  Then catch the remote exception, this will give you more information in the fault payload.

  • How to update the payload of a BPEL process instance

    Hi I have another question.
    How do I update the payload of a BPEL process instance without the activity being a Human Task. I know there are ton's of example showing how to update the payload of a user task using BPEL API's. But in my case I need to update the payload of a BPEL process instance which has no human task.

    Thanks
    For confirming that the payload in the BPEL process instance is read-only. Now I can see what alternatives I come up with besides the DB save option.
    Guys if you can take the time to answer/comment on another question I have posted in this forum that will be great
    here is the link

  • Using JMS Messaging Bridge in BPEL

    Hi
    I wanted to create a bpel process to put a message on to a JBoss queue on an external system.
    I could see from many forums that JMS Messaging bridge is a suitable option to go ahead. I could create new JMS destinatiosn and a JMS bridge on top of that.
    Can some once help me out with a sample bpel process inidcating how to use the JMS bridge within the bpel prpcess.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
    You can define the same queue in both domains.
    In domain A ( the source ) create the Origin of bridge
    In domain A too ( the source) create the destination of bridge ( pointing to address and port of domain B)
    In domain A create the bridge ( joining source and destination )
    In domain A , deploy the connector ... a .rar file
    Best Regards
    Jin
    PD: this doesn?t affect the code of your app.

  • Entire Message = JMS Payload

    Hi,
    I have to design an IDOC -> PI -> JMS scenario and have to configure JMS Message Headers (not SOAP Header).
    I used UDF (and ASMA) to set the header attributes,DCJMSMessageProperty0, but the SOAP header is populated which is not as per my requirement.
    So will this option in receiver JMS channel help me Entire Message = JMS Payload to get the header value in JMS message?
    Thank you,
    Pankaj.
    Edited by: Pankaj Sharma XI on Oct 12, 2010 5:18 AM

    Hi,
    I have no experience with SonicMQ, so I do not know why the JMS header fields are not populated.
    So till now the process that I followed is correct (supposed to be).
    A last question in this thread:
    I am using RWB to monitor JMS channel and am able to see the payload and SOAP document that is being passed by the JMS channel. The DCJMSMessageProperty0 is passed as configured in the SOAP header.
    Can you please tell me if there is any other place where I can see the JMS Message Header (if it is getting populated) other than RWB? (I know that RWB is the only place to monitor JMS messages).
    Also can you please give a small example on how the message would like with JMS header (if below XML message is passed by JMS channel)?
    <Msg>
    <Field1>India</Field1>
    </Msg>
    Thank you,
    Pankaj.

  • Read JMS Map message in BPEL

    Hi all,
    I am trying to read JMS Map message in BPEL. Below is the message which is consumed from the JMS queue by JMS adapter.
    <Receive1_Consume_Message_InputVariable>

    <MapMessage> <entry  name="createUser"  dt="String">jcooper</entry>
    <entry  name="Operation"  dt="String">INSERT</entry>

    </MapMessage>
    </part>
    </Receive1_Consume_Message_InputVariable>
    How to traverse all the key and name value pairs? Is there any function in XSLT to achieve this? Please let me know.
    Thanks

    I publish a JMS message to a topic in one BPEL process and have another BPEL process read from the topic and start the flow. The problem I have is that the first process is writing fine to the topic, but the second process seems to be reading twice. I am seeing two instances of the second process in em.
    Can anyone help? I am using JDev 11.1.1.1.0
    Thanks

  • How to monitor the size of message payload processed

    Hi all,
    where could i find the size of the message payload processed in monitor?
    i want to check the volumn of the payload, such as how much kb
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
    ths payload size in KB can be found from the audit logs of the adapter monitoring (Runtime workbench ).
    it will tell you the exact size of the files processed through the adapter.

  • Question : Scheduling a Long Running Process in BPEL

    Hi All,
    I have a doubt regarding deployment and scheduling of a Long Running Process in BPEL console like the way we schedule a concurrent program in Oracle Apps.
    Business Scenario:
    We have developed a BPEL process to pull data from the Database, do the required transformation and then enqueue the transformed data in a queue present in another database.
    Then a Java program will pick the data from the queue and then generate an XML file and send it to FTPserver of the Trading Partners(TP's).
    We have two Trading Partners and hence the generated XML will be put into the appropriate FTP servers of the TP's.
    The BPEL processing for both the Trading Partners is identical. Only the generated XML is put in different FTP servers.
    My question here is:
    1. Since the processing is same for both the TP's, how can we use the same process for both the Trading Partners.Can we handle it in the BPEL process itself ?
    2. Is there any way to schedule the same process in BPEL console, to first run for Trading Partner TP1 and wait for say 15 mins and then run for another Trading Partner TP2 and this cycle should continue since we will be deploying it in production environment and continuous updation of the transactions will be happening in the database.
    So far my knowledge in BPEL goes, i could not find any way to schedule a process in BPEL console. If any one has come across similar scenario, please post your updates/approach which will help us in defining the architecture for our client.
    Thanks In Advance,
    Cheers
    Dibya

    Hi Marc,
    Thanks a Lot for ur inputs.
    Need some more clarification for quetsion no.1 in my previous post.
    From our BPEL process we are calling a package which takes the Trading Partner name as the input and some other parameters. Our BPEL process will be run for both the Trading Partners since the processing is identical.
    If we develop two different processes for both Trading Partners, then there will be locking issues in the database since both the processes will refer to the same table.
    Hence we were looking for an option where we can use the same process for both the Trading Partners. Is there any way to handle it in BPEL process.
    Your inputs will be really helpful.
    Thanks In Advance,
    Dibya

    I am using FlowN activity to invoke different BPEL process in parallel. In audit trail ->Flow tab, they are depicted as executed parallel, but if I see the time-stamp of their execution; each process is executed one after other.
    Sub bpel process inserts data into different tables.
    Using BPEL 2.0, all asynchronous process.
    So does FlowN activity span multiple threads? In composite.xml each sub BPEL process have bpel.partnerLink.partner_link_name.nonBlockingInvoke=true
    <component name="InsertType2" version="2.0">
    <implementation.bpel src="InsertType2.bpel"/>
    <property name="bpel.config.transaction" type="xs:string" many="false">required</property>
    <property name="bpel.partnerLink.partner_link_name.nonBlockingInvoke"
    type="xs:string" many="false" override="may">true</property>
    </component>
    Thanks,
    Bhaskar

    Vijay,
    The process which has FlowN and in each Seqeunce another process is invoked and that sub-process insert data into DB.
    .                                _Process_
                                          |
                                          |
                 _assign activity data to each sub-process_
                                          |
                                          |
                                    FlowN
                                          |
                                          |
        |                                        |                                                |
        |                                        |                                                |
    Invoke BPEL 1             Invoke BPEL 2                          Invoke BPEL 3
    So here 'Invoke BPEL 1', 'Invoke BPEL 2' & 'Invoke BPEL 3' input variable are assigned in single assign activity before FlowN. Let me know do I need to pass the data to each 'Invoke BPEL 1' inside FlowN sequence.
    Thanks,

  • Configuring JMS adapter for a BPEL process which puts a msg in a Q of MQ

    Hi,
    I am trying to develop a BPEL process which picks up a message from a Q in Websphere MQ and puts that message in another Q of MQ after processing that.
    I have updated the oc4j-ra.xml with the following inputs:
    <connector-factory location="eis/MQSeries/Queue" connector-name="Jms Adapter">
              <config-property name="connectionFactoryLocation" value="com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueueConnectionFactory"/>
              <config-property name="factoryProperties" value="QueueManager=TestManager;TransportType=1;Hostname=machine's ip address;Port=1414;Channel=channel name for connecting to client"/>
              <config-property name="acknowledgeMode" value="AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE"/>
              <config-property name="isTopic" value="false"/>
              <config-property name="isTransacted" value="true"/>
              <config-property name="username" value="admin"/>
              <config-property name="password" value="welcome"/>
         </connector-factory>
    But while testing the BPEL process, I get the error:

    Can anyone tell me what has gone wrong in setting the connection factory for the Q or what else I have to configure to sort out this problem?
    Thanks,
    Jayatu

    I am experiencing the exact same issue while configuring for Tibco EMS!!!
    I have also checked the oc4j-xa.xml file etc and I am also unable to find any guidance on the steps required from XML config files through to adapter wizard entries!

  • How to read JMS message properties from BPEL or BPMN process

    Hi all,
    I have a JMS Adapter that consumes messages from a remote ActiveMQ queue and I don't find the way the get the properties of the JMS message as I would like to map them in BPEL or BPMN process variable. I only manage to get the content of the message.
    I've also read that if using a MapMessage, one of the map entry can be mapped directly and that the other map entries go to jca.jms.Map.xxxx where xxxx is key of the map entry.
    But how can I map those "jca.jms.Map.xxxx" properties on process variables ? and how to map JMS Properties (that seem to be mapped on jca.jms.JMSProperty.xxxx) to process variables ?
    I use SOA Suite version : 11.1.1.4.0
    Thanks for your help
