Hit Runtime ERROR

HI,
This message appears at the bottom of the screen when i execute my program.
"Runtime error TIME_OUT has occurred"
When i debug the program, it seems to take longer time than expected at this FM
"HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION"
When i try to run this FM at foreground, my data is uploaded successfully to the Infotype that i wanted but when i did this at background.. the above runtime error were shown.
I have never been hit with this runtime error message all these while in my program. Only today when i tried to execute my program, the above message is sown.
Please assist me as i needed the explanation / solution ASAP.

SharePoint ULS Diagnostic Logging for Runtime Error not captured

Hi Guys,
I have this weird issue whereby my development SharePoint server 2013 (one single box with DC, SQL, CA, Distributed Cache, Search, User Profile and also Visual Studio installed in it) does not log SharePoint Foundation - Runtime errorf for my web part or
appliaction pages
This development server is scheduled to shutdown after 8PM and will only be turn on in the 8AM next day.
Whenever i hit runtime error (such as my custom web part error), it generate a Correlation ID but when i go into the ULS (LOGS folder) to locate them, it is not being captured at all.
There is no additional configuration in the Diagnostic Logging in the Central Admin. Everything was left default.
Does anyone face this issue before?

there few things you can do,
1. first of all confirm that logging is working, log files are getting generated, and sharepoint tracing service is running.
2. as you have a correlation ID, use
Merge-SPLog with correlation parameter.
3. if step 2 does not give you anything, try enabling logging in verbose mode, go to CA -> monitoring -> configure diagnostic logging -> select all categories and select verbose in both the drop downs.
4. alternatively, you can try to enabled "callstack" and trun OFF "customerrors", it will display the same error as ULS log.

Runtime error when using FM SAP_CONVERT_TO_TEX_FORMAT

I tried to use this FM SAP_CONVERT_TO_TEX_FORMAT to convert my internal table's data to comma separator but it hit runtime error.
The runtime error says :-
Runtime Errors         CALL_FUNCTION_CONFLICT_TAB_TYP
Exceptn                CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE
I tried to convert an internal table with two fields, it worked but it dont work when i was trying to convert the internal table with 53 fields. Please advice. It is not feasible to hardcode the comma into my structure or use concatenate way.

I realised that the main problem occurs because i have such data (as below) in my internal table which leads to runtime error. The table -> i_tab_converted_data cannot accept text that is non-character type.
Eg data : Siège
Is there any way that i can overcome the above? The runtime error explains as the below .
{ Only character-type data objects are supported at the argument
position "op1" for the statement
   "IF ... op1 CO op2 ...".
In this case, the operand "op1" has the non-character-type "I". The
current program is flagged as a Unicode program. In the Unicode context,
type X fields are seen as non-character-type, as are structures that
contain non-character-type components. }

ESS Leave Request - Portal Runtime Error when the "Cancel" button is hit

We have configured the Leave Request application, created a custom workflow, created security roles, and we are now testing in our quality environment.
We are encountering a very strange "Portal runtime error" which we cannot resolve - When you come into the Leave Request application, and then, without completing the request, just hit the "Cancel" button, the runtime error is generated.
We have run a trace of authorizations and everything has come up clean. Everything is configured, and there are no problems actually creating, approving and posting requests.
Any ideas?

Runtime Error message when trying to download 7.2

Can somebody please help me?
Whenever I go into iTunes now, it asks me if I would like to download iTunes 7.2. I say yes and this message pops up:

Then I hit OK and iTunes closes. This happened also when I tried to download 7.1, and I ended up downloading it from the site myself. I just really want to know what to do, because it has been doing weird things with my library and maybe that has something to do with it.

Itunes 9.1 for windows causes visual c++ runtime error r6034

my setup ...
os = win xp pro, sp3, current patches installed
itunes = 9.1.0.79
the original update was thru the apple software updater. after the error showed up on 1st start of itunes, i ...
= rebooted the system = no fixee
= uninstalled itunes, rebooted, reinstalled itunes, rebooted = no fixee
since i updated to 9.1 i get the following errors at itunes startup ...

after i hit ok for item [1] i get ...
[2] itunes cannot sync information ..SNIP.. because syncing has been disabled on this computer. do you want to enable syncing?
if you do not enable ..SNIP.. to your ipod.
after i hit yes for item [2] i get ...
[3] itunes was unable to load provider data from sync services. reconnect or try again later.
after i hit ok for item [3] itunes runs.
the itouch shows up in the left panel "devices" list and is selectable. pressing the sync button on the itouch summary page triggers TWO dialogs of item [1]! hitting ok on them lets the sync go forward. i presume the only actual sync going on is the music. the sync finishes with no errors and says "ipod sync is complete. ok to disconnect."
i haven't tested to get confirmation that anything is being synced so it might just be going thru the motions.

it says the error is caused by a missing "manifest" and the fix is to rebuild the app with a proper one.

I could resolve some of the issues posted here with the fix offered by jeffcoffee under http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1595916&start=285&tstart=0 (However, I still have the R6034 error message. Would be great to have a fix for that too).
This is what he did:
copy the file 'sqlite3.dll'
from 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support'
to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support'
*In a 32 bit Windows OS remove (x86) from the path.
Another potential dll issue might be: 'libxml2.dll', follow the same copy routine. If the first one does not fix it.

Runtime Error in VL01N after upgrade from 4.6c to ECC 6.0

   We are doing a upgrade project from 4.6c to ECC 6.0 and when we are running the VL01n tcode and as soon as we hit enter in easy access screen its throwing a runtime error as " The key of internal table "XLIPS" contains components of type 'X' or "XSTRING". The "READ TABLE XLIPS" statement is not permitted for such tables in a unicode context'. The xlips is declared as:
DATA: BEGIN OF XLIPS OCCURS 15.
INCLUDE STRUCTURE LIPSVB.
DATA: END OF XLIPS.
so i have checked the lipsvb structure in that i dont find the key fields of type X or XSTRING all are of type CHAR 4. this LIPSVB is the Reference structure for XLIPS and YLIPS.

and apply it   the basis   should   find it out .... for ECC6.0   then minimum level of patches should be   upgraded.

Runtime error at select statement in RFC_READ TABLE FM

   I have copied the standard FM RFC_READ_TABLE to incorporate the customer needs. Below is the select query which I have written in this FM.

Here, posearch_text-column_text_ will have the fields to be selected at runtime and posearch_text-cond_text_ is the where condition. It is running fine in this case.
But when I try to select Item Category ( EKPO-PSTYP), if data is present for this category, it is returning the values but if data is not there for the particular item category in the where clause, it is giving a RUNTIME ERROR at the select statement.
Here is the ERROR ANALYSIS:
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SEMANTICS', was
not caught in
procedure "ZATSCSNG_RFC_READ_TABLE" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by a
RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
The current ABAP program has tried to execute an Open SQL statement
which contains a WHERE, ON or HAVING condition with a dynamic part.
The part of the WHERE, ON or HAVING condition specified at runtime in
a field or an internal table, contains the invalid value "<L_LINE>-PSTYP".

Now that's what I call a join statement...
You probably have a bug in how you build po_search_text-cond_text, the content must be a syntactically correct where clause. It seems that in your example there is just "<L_LINE>-PSTYP" without a condition, so try omitting it altogether.
Debug the content of po_search_text-cond_text before it hits the select statement.

Runtime error in TestStand 4.1

Hi!
I installed TestStand 4.1 and tried to run the C# user interface provided by TestStand. When I click on Sequence view control in sequence editor tab, I get a run time error and the application closes by iteslf. Im attaching a screen shot of this.
My OS is windows xp with visual studio 2008.
Please provide some solution to this.

The best way to debug a crash like this where we can't reproduce it here on one of our machines is going to be to get a crash dump from the application. To do this, please follow these steps:
Install Win Debug from here: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/debugging/installx86.Mspx
Launch WinDbg and go to File»Symbol File Path and enter this:http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols
Start your program that crashes
Now in WinDbg, go to File»Attach to a Process and select your running program (probably TestExec.exe)
Hit F5 so the process will resume
Now perform whatever action makes the program crash. During the crash, focus should automatically transfer back to WinDbg, and its window should come to the front.
Back in WinDbg create a crash dump file. Do this by entering in the command at the bottom of the command window. The syntax for the command is:
.dump /ma "c:\AFileName"
Then send us that dump file. We will be able to debug it and hopefully get some more information from it. Since the dump file is generally very large (100-400 MB) you can post it on the ni FTP site at ftp://ftp.ni.com/incoming. When you do this, post back to this forum with the name of the file so that I can download it.
Alternatively, if you would like to handle this directly by e-mail or phone, please post back to this forum that you wish to do so, and I can ask the forum administrator for your e-mail address. The admin will not give out this information without your express permission.

so after implementing note 2050531 you should add the following entry in table UJPS_RESOURCE (caution I misspelled it earlier, it is not ups_resource).
You can do this through transaction SE16 -> enter UJPS_RESOURCE and hit Create Entries.
Fields MANDT and APPSET_ID should be filled with your BW System Client ID (i.e. 100) and your BPC Environment ID (i.e. ENVIRONMENTSHELL). The entries that appear to be empty should be left empty.

Adobe Pro 8 Runtime Error

This has been hit on in other threads, but I still have not found an answer to my issue. Whenever I run Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro from the Start menu, or double click on a .pdf file I get the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error, runtime Error. This is on a standalone laptop with the following software loaded: Windows XP SP3, Office 2007, Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server Express 2005, and MySQL. I mention these because I have seen these packages mentioned in other posts. Since it is a standalone laptop, no roaming profiles. The main issue is that Acrobat Pro 8 runs in the administrator account, and other user accounts. It will not run in my account. I have read that creating a new account and trying it shows it to be a user issue and not a system wide issue, but I could not find anything about how to repair a damaged user account. Also, from my account if I use "run as" and any other account on the system, it works. This is OK to run the program, but this is not available to double click on a .pdf file. Any help on what to delete, move, rename, etc in the damaged account would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I did some more reading, and after systematically renaming the plugins, I
found that the file ADTACROBAT.api was my problem. I added a .old to the file and now Acrobat works!
Not sure what it is, but I really hope it's not important.

Handling runtime errors

We have an AS3 application made in Flash Builder that I would like to compile such that the script continues to execute after encountering a runtime error.
We made a simple AS3 test movie and compiled it with Flash CS3 and then Flash Builder.
The movie tries to evaluate a variable that does not exist, and then puts a yellow square on the stage.
Here is the core of the code:

In the movie compiled in CS3 (with this code in a frame on the timeline) the runtime error seems to be ignored - and the square appears.
In the movie compiled in FB with this code wrapped in a simple Class, or if this class is used as the document class for a CS3 movie - then the resulting swf throws the runtime error and does not add the sprite to the stage.
Here is the simple Class:

The following statement regarding uncaught exceptions seems to be either inaccurate or misleading:
"At run time, Flash Player ignores, by design, uncaught errors and tries to continue playing if the error doesn't stop the current SWF file"
Script execution does NOT continue when hitting an error - even in a non-debug player. Previous versions of AS/Flash Player used to continue. For the non-debug Player, this is arguably a better approach as it prevents small errors from bringing down an entire block of script.
Our experience confirms this. Is there any way to globally specify that the application should continue on uncaught errors?

It seems to be only available in 10.1 - which is higher than we would like to target.

I was just throwing this error as an example of throwing an error, and not looking to fix it in particular. We have a large and complex application which is used by many people. Unfortunately, some of our users are experiencing runtime errors that are stopping the execution of the script - and we do not know exactly where those are. They may be easy to fix once we can locate them. Unfortunately, we have not been able to reproduce them locally.
If the flash player encounters an error in the constructor of the sprite/movieclip which is the main class, it will not be able to continue. If this error had occurred in an event handler, then you'd be able to continue.
Can you tell us more about the rules of uncaught runtime error handling? For example: when I compile this code - the sprite is not shown on the stage and the second trace is not executed - despite having moved the code to an event handler function.

I'd like to publish our application such that it would ignore all run time errors. Are there any compiler or other options to achieve that.
Ideally we'd like to collate the errors such that end users could open a hidden text field and copy the error messages and send them to us.

Photoshop runtime error

Whenever i browse for font to change my text, if the photoshop doesnt recognize the font it prompt me a message Runtime error. Please help me to fix this because if i hit the ok or closed the prompt box, my photoshop automatically end its sessions whiout saving it.

How should we know? Sorry to disappoint, but you will have to remove them all until only the basic operating system fonts remain, then add back all other fonts selectively as needed.

ABAP runtime errors - MOVE_TO_LIT_NOTALLOWED_NODATA

In customize program, im using OOP Method CL_GUI_ALV_GRID->SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY to output the result in ALV list.
Result display in ALV list successfully, then i click on on "Print Preview" button.
System will lead me to another screen, and shortdump MOVE_TO_LIT_NOTALLOWED_NODATA will hits after i click on "Total"/"Summation" button on a numeric field.

What happened?
The current ABAP/4 program "SAPLKKBL " had to be terminated because
one of the statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP/4 program.
How to correct the error
The field you want to overwrite is a parameter or a field symbol:
Declare the parameter as a VALUE parameter or pass an auxiliary field
to which you assigned the value from the constant before the call.
Alternatively, you can assign the auxiliary field to the field symbol
instead of the constant.
If the error occurred in one of your own programs or in an SAP program
that you modified, try to correct it yourself.
If the error occurred in a non-modified SAP program, you may be
able to find a solution in the SAP note system.
If you have access to the note system yourself, use the following
search criteria:
"MOVE_TO_LIT_NOTALLOWED_NODATA"
"SAPLKKBL " or "LKKBLF98 "

Symptom
The following problems can occur in the order information system:
The column for a unit is missing in the output list or in the column set.
The ALV consistency check (Note 504384) displays error message 0K 510.
The MOVE_TO_LIT_NOTALLOWED_NODATA runtime error occurs in the SAP List Viewer (ALV).
Other terms
Production order information system, process order information system, 0K510, <L_UNIT>, SAPLKKBL, LKKBLF98, SUM_UNIT_OUT_CHECK
Reason and Prerequisites
In Customizing (report RCOTX000), the column for the unit is hidden. At least one other column that refers to this unit is displayed.
Solution
After you have implemented the source code corrections, it is no longer the setting in the RCOTX000 report that determines whether the columns for a unit are displayed. The system displays them only if at least one respective value column is displayed.
