Horizontal toolbar alignment in form

Hello,
We are in the process of migrating from Forms 6i C/S to Forms 10g R2.
We have a problem in which the Horizontal toolbar is aligned to the left instead of the right, the direction is ok all the buttons in the design preview are placed in the same order but the toolbar canvas is drawing the items from left to right
Ex:
design:
_________________________________________ [button2][button1]
On the web:
[button2][button1]_________________________________________
There is also an image on the canvas and it's position stays the same.
The module, block, canvas and window direction property is Right to Left, The NLS_LANG is HEBREW_ISRAEL.IW8IS08859P8, Oracle10gDS platform is win 2000 and browser is IE.
This works well in Forms 6i C/S but seems broken is 10g....
I even tried to make a new form with the toolbar and it didn't work, so it's not related to the application code.
Thank you for your help.

did you search in metalink for such a problem. This seemed to be the fastest way, because the environment is not typical for our WE8ISO-environments

  • Problem with RGB Values for Canvas Type ‚Horizontal Toolbar' in Webforms 10

    Hello,
    I have a problem with the canvas type ‘Horizontal Toolbar’ in Webforms 10g.
    When I try to set or change the RGB value of a ‘Horizontal Toolbar’ with the forms function
    Set_Canvas_Property(‘my_horizontal_toolbar’, BACKGROUND_COLOR, rgb-value)
    (at runtime) it has no effect in Webforms 10g for the canvas type ‘Horizontal Toolbar’ (the background color of the horizontal toolbar doesn’t change).
    But it works fine for other canvas types like ‘Stacked’ or ‘Content’.
    In Oracle 6i (Client / Server) this function works quiet well (even for the ‘Horizontal Toolbar’ canvas type).
    The reason why we are using rgb values instead of visual attributes in this case is, that the color of the ‘Horizontal Toolbar’ should be customizeable (via a RGB Field) for our customers (at runtime).
    Further more we are using the same technique for Text-Field-Items, Content- and Stacked-Canvases (and all works fine).
    Maybe it has something to do with the pre-configured IAS color-schema (blaf).
    But changing the color schema (e.g.: from 'blaf' to 'red') has no effect also.
    Thanks for your help.

    This is probably bug 777312. Call Support for the latest info on this bug and for help getting it fixed.

    AT THE BOTTOM OF A FORM?" OR "HOW TO MOVE
    THE VERTICAL TOOLBAR LEFT OR RIGHT ON FORM?"
    IF ANYONE KNOWS THEN PLZ HELP ME. I WILL BE

    I think that you can look at on-line help of your Forms. This is from Forms6i:
    Canvas Type property
    Description
    Specifies the type of canvas, either Content, Stacked, Vertical Toolbar Canvas, or Horizontal Toolbar Canvas. The type determines how the canvas is displayed in the window to which it is assigned, and determines which properties make sense for the canvas.
    Content     The default. Specifies that the canvas should occupy the entire content area of the window to which it is assigned. Most canvases are content canvases.
    Stacked     Specifies that the canvas should be displayed in its window at the same time as the window's content canvas. Stacked views are usually displayed programmatically and overlay some portion of the content view displayed in the same window.
    Vertical Toolbar Canvas      Specifies that the canvas should be displayed as a vertical toolbar under the menu bar of the window. You can define iconic buttons, pop-lists, and other items on the toolbar as desired.
    Horizontal Toolbar Canvas     Specifies that the canvas should be displayed as a horizontal toolbar at the left side of the window to which it is assigned.
    Applies to canvas

    Usage Notes
    In the Property Palette, the properties listed under the Stacked View heading are valid only for a canvas with the Canvas Type property set to Stacked.

  • Horizontal Toolbar as startup image.

    I have a form which was developed with forms 5. In this form are no blocks and no items. There is only one horizontal toolbar which contains an image. This is a kind of startup image. Now I want to compile this form with Forms6i but when I try this I get the following error message:
    FRM-30041: Position of item places it off of canvas.
    Item: DUMMYITM
    Block: DUMMYBLK
    Form: MAINFORM
    FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
    How can I handle this with Forms6i.
    Thanks for help.

    There is no canvas, so the toolbar fills out the complete screen. The item is only a dummy you can`t see it at the object navigator or elsewhere.

  • Toolbar Disappears (Template Form 6i)

    Hi Friends and Forms Product Management Team,
    My problem is, in my custom form 6i (using template 11i), toolbar disappears whenever error message window displayed. This started after making few changes to this form.
    Let me give you brief about this form, its a single block setup form on single base table. It allows user to update fields with validation. Now if user tries to enter wrong value the built-in error message window appears with some message for that validated field. The toolbar, which disappears, is the standard one (Horizontal toolbar). So the full form seems to be jumping, up and down. It has one window and its called,
    Lets say SOME_SETUP window. Canvas Type is CONTENT.
    I am not getting any solution from anywhere. Where to seek help? Any suggestions.
    Thanks,

    -Gary Myers -
    What are the following details :
    The canvas the toolbar is on (and whether it's a horizontal or vertical canvas).
    The window that toolbar canvas is attached to.
    The form's console window
    The names of all windows in the form, and their style (content, stacked, dialog etc), whether they have a >horzintal/vertical toolbar canvas property set.
    When the error is displayed, what item is the cursor on ?
    [Is the 'error' displyed as an alert, or are you using your own items/canvas/window]
    What canvas is that item in ?
    What window is that canvas on ? -Rohit Singh-

    Well you still haven't answered several of the questions :
    We've established that you have one window [SOME_SETUP] with two canvases, one content and one horizontal toolbar. Can you confirm this by opening up the WINDOW and CANVAS 'tree' nodes.
    Look at the properties for SOME_SETUP. What are the PRIMARY CANVAS, HORIZONTAL TOOLBAR CANVAS, VERTICAL TOOLBAR CANVAS ?
    Is the 'error' displyed as an alert, or just in the message line ?
    Forms doesn't have a 'built in message window'. Unless otherwise coded, an error is displayed on the message line at the bottom of the form. If more than one message needs to be displayed on the message line, you probably get a 'Please acknowledge' popup.
    If it is not a message line error, then it may be an alert, or it may be that there is an 'error' canvas/window which pops up with a message. This is why I wanted confirmation of the names and types of the windows and canvases.

  • One Horizontal Toolbar Canvas and Multiple Windows

    I have a form with multiple windows and canvases. All our forms have ONE horizontal toolbar canvas. We like to display this horizontal toolbar canvas on every window. Is there way to do this? We get FRM-30162, when we assign the horizontal toolbar canvas to any window other than the primary window of the horizontal toolbar canvas.
    Happy New Year!
    Thanks

    Hi,
    we handled that with the following:
    1.- create a DUMMY window with the following properties
    title: null
    Primary Canvas: null
    Horizontal toolbar canvas: null
    2.- On the Toolbar canvas properties:
    Window : DUMMY
    3.- On Form properties:
    form Horizontal toolbar canvas : "your toolbar canvas"
    This sets the toolbar on top and indepedent of your windows.
    Happy new year!!!

  • How to set default for "Horizontal / Vertical Alignment"?

    Hi,
    is there somewhere a setting to change the default of the "Horizontal / Vertical Alignment" property for an item label? I don't like the "Right" alignment and I have to change it each time when I create a new item.
    Thanks

    Yes, this is one of (many) cases where a Bulk edit feature in the Builder would be very useful. There have been some discussions about this and hopefully the APEX team is considering these for the next release.
    Having said that, I frequently find myself taking a full app export and editing the SQL file in my favorite text editor (Vim) and making these little changes.
    This is NOT to be done lightly, see the caveats and disclaimers at Re: htmldb application Disabled(on updation of FLOWS_020000.WWV_FLOW_STEP_I
    As always, take a backup of the file before modifying it and save it so you can revert back to it if something goes wrong.

  • How can I place a bookmark in the horizontal toolbar, which I could do before the Firefox upgrade?

    I had several bookmarks in the horizontal toolbar before the latest upgrade. They all disappeared after the upgrade and I cannot find a way to make them show up again.

    Make sure that toolbars like the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.
    *"3-bar" Firefox menu button > Customize > Show/Hide Toolbars
    *View > Toolbars<br>Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar
    *Right-click empty toolbar area
    Open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
    *"3-bar" Firefox menu button > Customize
    *check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
    *if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
    *if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
    *if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the Restore Defaults button to restore the default toolbar setup

  • Horizontal toolbar on Tab Canvas

    Hi All,
    Please help me get the horizontal toolbar on the tab canvas type. I am using stacked canvas but I am not getting the toolbar. Please help. Maybe I am displaying it wrong . Thanks

    1) create a stack canvas and assign window to it
    2) create your items on stack canvas
    3) set the stack canvas view port width and height according to your visible area of TAB canvas (the size of canvas must be more than View port)
    4) set its X and Y position according to the TABs
    5) set show scroll bar to YES horizontally
    6) set WHEN-TAB-PAGE-CHANGED trigger to show and hide canvases based on current tab selection.
    Hope you got the idea

  • Portion of the screen to extreme left, underneath horizontal toolbars became "Bookmarks". I did not command or seek this. I cannot seem to remove

    The column appears under the horizontal toolbar which shows web address and google search window. I've tried left and right clicks to no avail. How can I restore the firefox screen to where entire horizontal space is occupied by the web page I select?

    hello NEWBRU1, this sounds as if you have selected the bookmarks sidebar to be displayed. just click on the 'X' on its top right to close it or press the keyboard shortcut ctrl+B...

  • How to implement a toolbar to many forms.

    I am developing a an application and made a toolbar, I want that every form I make use this toolbar, How?
    Actually the tool bar is called from a form, how I do to call it from another form to ge only the toolbar, not the form where it is.
    thanks an advance.

    er maybe, heve each form maintain whether it is the "active" form or not.
    Have all Your "WIndows" er forms implement ActionListener Interface
    Make your ToolBar in its own class,
    public class MultiToolbar extends JToolbar
    }Have Method in the MultiToolBar class
    something like this:
    where MyForm is the className of your 'Forms'
    public void  setListener( MyForm inForm )
      // loop over all the buttons on the toolBar
       Button1.addActionListener( inForm );
       Button2.addActionListener( inForm );
      // or however you decide to implement it
    }in your MYForm class:
    public void actionPerformed( ActionEvent e )
        if( ! TestIfIAmTheCurrentForm() )
          return;
       // Handle the action sent by the Toolbar
    }So When User clicks say "Paste From ClipBoard" from the Toolbar
    all the forms get sent an ActionEvent - related to "Paste From Clipboard" however you decide to implement it.
    If the Form is active, perhaps try using something like hasFocus(),
    Then Only That Form acts and does the "Paste" Action
    OR:-
    YOu could make your JFrame or whatever the Toolbar is on,
    decide which form to despatch some message to or something like that.
    If you Mean:
    I have 50 Forms, I want them all to use the same looking Toolbar - but 50 of them.
    make a Toolbar with a constructor that takes an ActionListener:
    public MultiToolBar extends JToolBar
    public MultiToolBar( ActionListener listener )
        //blah
       Button1.addActionListener( listener );
       // and so on.
    }Then each Form that implements ActionListener goes:
       MultiToolBar Fred = new MultiToolBar( this );
       // Set Fred as the Toolbar for this windowI used that approach when I made something that when you click on its toolbar you get a little window with a "thumbnail" Image
    and a Toolbar with 4 Zoom buttons on it.
    I only wanted to write that toolbar once.........
