Hot Corners don't work/Click and drug doesn't work

Hi, I have two computers, iMac 2008 desktop (OS X 10.9.4 ) and Mac air book. Recently about 3 weeks ago. Both of them started having issues. When i will navigate in any corners they would not work (neither Screen Saver, nor All Applications) none of the hot corners that I set up work. However, at times they would work but really slow and my computer kind of like logging (getting supper slow) Another thing happened to both computers: When I click and drug any file from one folder to another it just would not do. the file I click would get hi lighted stick to my mouse pointer and the computer would just freeze. However, when I do copy and paste a file it works. I upgraded to Yosemite and even that did not help. I reinstalled OS X from my old time machine back to OS X 10.9.4 and the problem still persist. Is this disease a nation wide ???

Dock hiding and hot corners no longer work

I am not sure exactly when it began, but for the past 2-4 weeks, my hot corners and dock hiding have been very erratic. At seemingly random times, all the sudden my hot corners stop being active, so when I move my pointer to the corner, the designated task whether it be dashboard, Expose, screen saver, etc. as selected in preferences no longer activates. Dock hiding stops working as well. The dock hides, but when I move my cursor over where the dock is parked it doesn't appear, it stays hidden. I can click command alt d and the dock will appear or disappear, but will not appear by just moving the cursor to the side of the screen where the dock is parked. I have not added any new software lately other than Apple OS 10.6.4 and whatever Safari, iTunes etc updates that keep coming at along at pretty regular intervals. Interestingly I have an iMac at work and at home, and they both are misbehaving in the same way. They are similarly populated with software, although not exactly. When I update one, I update the other. Both started misbehaving at about the same time.
I have rebooted- sometimes works, sometimes not. I have trashed the dock and finder plist- works for awhile, but problem always returns. I have reset the PRAM- works for awhile, but problem always returns.
Any thoughts. I like being able to hide the dock to gain that extra bit of screen space, although the command alt d, is an adequate if not ideal work around. But I really like the hot corners, and I do not know of a work around for that problem.

The university requires all computers to have anti-virus software and recently switched to Sophos from Symantec, in July I believe. That was a new software install. Since it just works in the background and I never actually access it, I had forgotten about that. I hope that is not the problem, as I am required to have antivirus software.
And no I have not created a new user to log in. It is erratic enough that I don't know how long would have to be on to see if the problem recreated itself. Sometimes it seems like just minutes after I start the computer up and sometimes hours. Right now it is still working since starting this morning.

Hot corners regularly stop working

My hot corners are correctly assigned (from the previous OS) but always stop working after a while. This is corrected by a restart. Guessing that this is a bug in Mountain Lion and wanted to bring to your attention. Thank you.

Try this. In the Finder menu bar click on Go > Go to Folder and type ~/Library/Preferences. Highlight com.apple.screensaver.plist and remove to your desktop. Logout/Login or restart and reset screensaver preferences in Desktop & Screensaver in System Preferences. Click on the Hot corners button and reset your hot corners preferences. If this works you can trash the Preference file you moved to the desktop.

I tried this but it still doesnt work. Just to clarify, i'm using a MacBook Pro MAC OS X v10.7.2 Lion.
I even tried changing the hot corners and changing it back. But all the 4 corners still doesn work.
I encounted this several times already. I tried rebooting my mac and it worked after startup.
Is there a better solution to it besides rebooting my laptop?

I can't move events from local to icloud sharing. Clicking and dragging doesn't work!

I need to move all of the labels underneath the 'On My Mac' header to the 'iCloud' header so I can sync through iCloud with my other iOS device. Simply clicking and dragging them doesn't work. How can I solve this?

YES Terence! Thank you. Exporting allowed me to move my photos from iPhoto into the Burn Folder on my desktop. But that doesn't explain why I'm having to go that route now. Have I done something (accidentally changed some setting) on my computer that will not allow me to just click and drag anymore? I really liked the convenience of the click and drag option.
I don't have the time tonight to export and burn a lot of CD/DVDs. I'll try that tomorrow and make sure my photos are moving properly. I also need to export photos to my external hard drive to make sure that route is working.
Wouldn't you know that my Apple Care Plan runs out this Wednesday?! I need to make sure everything is working properly before that expires.

Hot Corners do not work on second (extended) display

Hi all!
I'm using a 24" ASUS display to extend my MB's screen, when using it at home.
After upgrading to Snow Leopard, the hot corners still work with/on my MB's screen, but no longer with/on my ASUS-screen.
After defining the hot corners in the system preferences, everything works well, even with the second screen, but when I shut the MB down, and start it again on the next day, the hot corners only work with the MB-screen, and no longer with my ASUS-screen.
Sorry for my bad english, but I hope you understood my problem so that anyone might be able to help me, or at least share the experience...

In Windows Vista Home Basic, when i touch "2 arrows" (You can see it, on screenshot, in up-right angel), after that, touchpad Began fluoresce by the blue colour, and after that i push 1 button from 6 buttons on touchpad (they all in red circle) and starts tha application. But no, when i touch "2 arrows", nothing happened. Is it information help to solve problem?
P.S. I try phone to Support, but, now in Russia we have holidays = (

Firefox and SeaMonkey do not show any webpage backgrounds and hot buttons don't have borders and entry windows like the one I'm typing in don't have borders. The only reason I can type here is I saw a cursor in this big blank area.

Firefox 3.6.16 and SeaMonkey 2.0.13 yesterday stopped displaying webpage background color. Everything is white. This text box has such a faint grey line around it that I didn't know it was there.
Every webpage I look at has the same issue.
Bing works correctly.
IE got corrupted a month ago and I've stopped using it.
My Windows 7 programs, Outlook, Word, Excel changed their color settings and some icons, Print & Paste, on the toolbars are larger like 1995 quality.

Some websites have an internal mute or volume setting. If that's not the issue, see below.
From the Safari menu bar, select

and confirm. Close the window. Then select
           ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced ▹ Delete All...
In the sheet that opens, check the box marked
          Delete All Site Data and Settings
then click Delete Data. Close the preference pane.

I drug music folders into my itunes folder instead of useing the add folder feature in itunes. What do I do now to allow iTunes to see and play this new music? There is now about 40 gigs of music like this in a 140 gig library.

Dragging them into the iTunes folder does not add them to the library. However, you can still add them to the library by finding the new location you dragged it to, and using the command File > Add folder to library.

Adobe Suite Hot Keys Don't Work

Hello Adobe Posse,
I am using Adobe Suite 4 with OS 10.6.2 and I am finding that on my new iMac that somewhere around the first ten to fifteen minutes my shift and alternate hotheys stop working.
I have seen postings on forums regarding this issue without any suggestions for a resolve, and it happens now and it happened on my old G4 running OS 10.4.
I am suspecting, but I am not sure, that some of Adobe's constraining and copying functions that are activated with a shift key or shift + alt, which of course we use all of the time, activate the Apple shortcut keys that override the Adobe Suite hotkeys.
While using these keys, I somehow switch focus from Adobe's hotkeys to Apple's shortcut keys, and I cannot switch them back. To solve for this I sometimes:
1. Close out of Illustrator, InDesign and/or Photoshop
2. Do the above and toss out the preferences as well
3. Cuss uncontrollably and restart the computer
Does anyone out there have a clue as to why this happens, and how, during a session, I can switch hotkey focus back to the Adobe Suite or how I can get the OSX to stop interferring with my Adobe sessions?

How can I get ITunes and mail to quit opening automatically ? I have done the right click, and it does not show that it is set to open at login and preferences doesn't help either ..???
