Hotspot text compiles showing code, not a working link

Help would be very appreciated; sorry for not being able to find this in the Adobe site or Grainge..
Everytime I open my webhelp project, the hotspot text shows code instead of remaining as a hotspot; this is true if the hotspot is in a table or outside table.  I have to keep rebuilding my hotspot text almost everwhere >>> not everywhere <<<<< in my word doc.
Everytime I open the file, the word doc does not keep the hotspot as a hotspot, shows the code, or the compiled version shows a green instead of blue color, and on top of all this, everytime I open the hpj file I cannot get the toolbar to display properly; all the Robohelp stuff that should be in the toolbar ISNT and I have to keep going into view /toolbars/ customize /options /always show full menus and toggle the dang little checkbox on and off even THOUGH it's already checked.
What gives and note: I am an original user of RH from the way back machine.
Also note: I would REALLY like to avoid having to do a reinstall so if ANYONE can comment on this please do asap.
Also, has anyone else noticed we cannot read the apology text anymore re: the Adobe support apology?
TC

Knowing what edition and version of RH you are using would help, see Before You Post.
Also a screenshot would be helpful. Use the camera icon please to post it.
Someone else reported a problem with the apology letter some weeks back and I tested it then, The link worked. I have just tested it again and it is working fine. Not sure why you are having a problem.

  • Pasting text from other apps not always work

Is this a known problem or any way to avoid it? I usually receive emails with copy of text that was already checked for spelling errors, and when I try to copy the text from the email to AE and paste it into the text tool, it does not work 90% of the time, and if it works, it works only once, the next time I copy paste something it keeps always pasting the same old text. I noticed this on all the computers where I have AE installed.
    Thanks
    Victor

    Just a quick update.
This problem has resurfaced AE CS6 (mac OS 10.8.x) this time.
The copy/paste into the search bar doesn't seem to work anymore.
I sent Aobde a note via their Bug/reports page - - (I'd suggest everyone do that.)
So far, my only working solution is to quit/restart AE. --
A shame for any 21st century software not to copy/paste formatted, or unformatted text.
(BTW - the copy/paste text from within AE comps/layers works fine, just not clipboard content from outside .  .  . I'm going to poke around at a few likely culprits and attempt to troubleshoot a solution for my needs, but I can say it's a different problem than my Oct. 2010 post above.)
    Cheers

  • Text just showing number not name of sender

When receiving text only receive number not name of person texting

Do you have the person's name in your contacts?  For the name to show, the person's name and phone number need to be in your contacts.

  • Preview a .dwt in Chrome or Firefox shows code not a preview, why?

I use a template .dwt file which I used to be able to preview in Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Safari just  to check all would look OK.
Last week I made some changes to the master .dwt file and now Chrome, Firefox and Opera display the html code and Safari displays nothing. IE displays the web page.
If I create a new page from the master .dwt and preview that, it works OK
I have validated the master .dwt and W3C reports no errors, I have also checked the style sheets and they also get passed as OK.
I must have something in the .dwt file that is wrong but I can't see it.
    Anybody have any ideas?
    Thanks
    Derek

    Hi Jon,
Here it is there are some style sheets to go with it, can post them if needed.
    Thanks
    Derek

  • Keynote text tap configuration is not appropriately working.

I like the strategy of Apple iWork team to integrally update OS X and iOS iWork.
By the way, Keynote for Mac has been degraded as a side effect of it.
One of the functions that I figured out is Keynote text object.
    1. Keynote text object's layout is not working well. For an example, customizing the width of column and the gutter of the columns isn't worked.
    2. Keynote text object's tap configuration is not working well. All tap configuration is not applied to the text object.
Please make Keynote better enough as much as possible.

Keynote for Mac has been degraded as a side effect of it.
In what way, please be specific when posting in a technical discussion?
Keynote text object's layout is not working well. For an example, customizing the width of column and the gutter of the columns isn't worked.
Text layout works as well as any previous version of Keynote, in fact its as good as most text layout applications.
Use the ruler (command R) and slide the left, right and indent markers to where you want them.
Keynote text object's tap configuration is not working well.
What do you mean by "tap"?      I have never heard of such a feature in Keynote and there is no reference to this  in Keynote help.

  • Ingenious code not ingeniously working :(

I wrote an auditing system that is supposed to be able to log all changes in any table that is picked. The following is the code, and the error message that comes up when I try to insert into the table. Basically what its supposed to do is check with the database to see which columns to log, and then creates the object types which are loaded by dynamically created bind variables....
the concept is a little hard to imagine, so if u have questions let me know...

  • My text messages show number not contact name

Does anyone have any hints on how to fix?

Is the person texting you in your Cntacts list? If not you'll only see the number.
If they are in your Contacts, check their contact to make sure the number they are texting you from is listed in their contact.

  • CTRL-F Find text in page does not exist/work

I ran the latest Firefox mobile on my Nokia N900 with PR1.2 firmware.
When viewing a web page, I wanted to find some text in the page, so I hit CTRL-F but this feature does not seem to exist.

The [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/130877/ Find in Page add-on] adds a find-in-page command to the address bar.
We might include a built-in Find in Page command in a future version of mobile Firefox.

  • JRE 1.5 update causes code not to work

OK - I need to understand the relationship between the private JRE in the JDK and the public JRE.
I let the auto-update function update my 1.4.2 JRE to 1.5 and now my application won't run from the command line (although it will still run from inside NetBeans).
My real confusion is that my classpath specifies the JRE inside the 1.4.2 JDK as tthe one to use.
    Here's my command line:
    java -classpath c:\JavaCode\IrrigationControl\dist\IrrigationControl.jar;c:\JavaCode\freetts-1.2\lib\freetts.jar;c:\OneWireAPI\lib\OneWireAPI.jar;c:\j2sdk1.4.2_06\jre\lib\rt.jar;%classpath% MainProgram.MainProgramWindow
I am completely confused. any help would be appreciated.
    Peter

    Thanks,
I am not trying to use 1.4.2.
I copied this command line from a Java example and never really understood why it is the way it is. I've read the Java books I have and since they try to be platform independent, they are always vauge on the details of building a windows command line.

  • When I get a phone call or text message it will not make the sound. Just vibrate. But the switch is on normal. When I change it to vibrate the volume thing will not show. Nor will my up volume up key work. Is there any way to fix it?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Upload Spry-UI-1.7 folder to your remote server by clicking the folder and hitting the UP arrow in your Files Panel.
Also, validate your code and fix reported errors.  You have unbalanced div tags.

  • Mail attachments show up as code, not document

    Hi all,
I've got one client, also using Mac Mail. When they send me attachments (zip files, psd's, etc) the attachment show up as code, not an attachment. If I open the same mail in gmail, it's an attachment. Other clients sending me attachments seem to work fine. Any ideas on a fix, either for me or my client?
    Thanks

I am having this problem but it is not caused by spaces in name of attachment. It happens with attachments that have no spaces.
Contrary to theories in another thread, it is not caused by Outlook, either. I can send myself an email with an attachment and it comes back showing the encoded contents of the attachment (or just the contents if it's a text attachment) and raw mime-related text, such as:
    --Apple-Mail-26-789943242
    Content-Type: text/plain;
    charset=US-ASCII;
    format=flowed;
    delsp=yes
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
Someone else blamed it on a corrupt preference. I have fixed it this way before but it came back pretty quickly. Was hoping for a more comprehensive fix or workaround.

  • Forcing/guiding hotspot to compile sections of code

Anyone has any trick to (predictably) force hotspot to compile
    a critical section of code.
I basically have an algorithm (approx 100 lines) where 80% of
cycles are spent but somehow the hotspot implementation
on Symbian/ARM (J2SE/MIDP) only hava around 30% chance of
    compiling.
The result is very unpredicatble preformance.
The hotspot on PC J2SE is good of course. But that's the PC.
    Anyone has any pointers?
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers...

Sadly there is really nothing you dan do here. The Jit works on the background, and the application does not have any control over it.
You might try a System.gc() before you start your algo to make sure the vm cleans up a bit, but I don't think it will help you very much...
