Hour Minute format in Infoset Query

Dear Experts,
Please gudie how to define the formula in a Local field of an Infoset Query which displays 90 minutes as 1:30 (hr.mt)

Jogeswara Rao

Hi NiteshKr12,
Since you do not want the AM|PM, so you use the 24 hour clock, for the 24 hour clock, it can let user select hour from 0 to 23, then if you want to let user only select from 0 to 12, one workaround is to prevent user to select the hour from 13
to 23, if user selects the hour more than 12, then reset the time and ask user to select the hour from 0 to 12. For more information, please try to refer to the following code:
private async void tpVacation_TimeChanged(object sender, TimePickerValueChangedEventArgs e)
if(tpVacation.Time.Hours>12)
MessageDialog messagedialog = new MessageDialog("Please select hours from 0 to 12 only","Your Attention");
await messagedialog.ShowAsync();
tpVacation.Time = new TimeSpan(0, 0, 0);

  • Write elapsed time to a spreadsheet in hours:minutes:seconds format

    Hi everyone,
    I've been trying to write an elapsed time to a spreadsheet file in an hours:minutes:seconds format, but the time is displayed in a floating point value of seconds..
    how can I write to a spreadsheet in an hours:minutes:seconds format.
    Thank you,
    James-

    I often use a subVI that converts Seconds to Hours, Minutes and Seconds. Use the Quotient and Remainder function to divide your elapsed time by 3600, 60 and 1. You can then convert those values to a modified string and use the Write to Spreadsheet File.
    As Dennis said, newer versions of LabVIEW's Write to Spreadsheet File.VI can handle arrays of Double, Integer or String automatically, and in older versions, the Write to Spreadsheet File.VI can be modified and copied to handle strings.
    Hope this helps.

  • Displaying the hour, minute, seconds.....

    Hi fellow experts!
    Once again I call upon you for help. I'm strugglng with the formatting of dates...specifically the hour, minute, seconds between two dates.
    Sample data:
    create table test (script_name varchar2(50),run_start date,run_end date, job_id number, parent_job_id number);
    insert into test (script_name,run_start,run_end,job_id,parent_job_id) values ('IMPORTMTM','09-FEB-10','09-FEB-10','2409671','2409645');
    insert into test (script_name,run_start,run_end,job_id,parent_job_id) values ('INT_EOD_VALUATIONS','09-FEB-10','09-FEB-10','2409673','2409645');
    insert into test (script_name,run_start,run_end,job_id,parent_job_id) values ('ACC_EOD_FXACCOUNTING','09-FEB-10','09-FEB-10','2409677','2409645');
    insert into test (script_name,run_start,run_end,job_id,parent_job_id) values ('GLO_EOD_FXUPDATE ','09-FEB-10','09-FEB-10','2409679','2409645');
    insert into test (script_name,run_start,run_end,job_id,parent_job_id) values ('MX_PREACCOUNTING_BACKUP_RP','09-FEB-10','09-FEB-10','2409683','2409645');
    insert into test (script_name,run_start,run_end,job_id,parent_job_id) values ('DM_PREACCOUNTING_BACKUP_RP','09-FEB-10','09-FEB-10','2409684','2409645');
    insert into test (script_name,run_start,run_end,job_id,parent_job_id) values ('IMP_FIXING','09-FEB-10','09-FEB-10','2409688','2409645');
    insert into test (script_name,run_start,run_end,job_id,parent_job_id) values ('GLO_EOD_FIXINGIRD','09-FEB-10','09-FEB-10','2409690','2409645');
    insert into test (script_name,run_start,run_end,job_id,parent_job_id) values ('WAIT_5_MINS','09-FEB-10','09-FEB-10','2409692','2409645');
    The output of the time should look like the results from the query below:
    select floor((run_end-run_start)*24) as Hrs ,floor(((run_end-run_start)*1440 - floor((run_end-run_start)*24)*60)) as Mins,
    ceil(((run_end-run_start)*86400 - floor((run_end-run_start)*1440)*60)) as Secs

    to_date('10-oct-2003 16:20:20','DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:Mi:SS') as run_end
    from dual);
    i.e
    H M S
    1 17 57
    My current sql is:
    select script_name,
    run_start,
    run_end,
    floor((run_end-run_start)*24) as Hrs ,floor(((run_end-run_start)*1440 - floor((run_end-run_start)*24)*60)) as Mins,

    sys_connect_by_path(to_date(run_start,'dd-mon-yyyy hh24:mi:ss'),'/') root_start
    from jcs_jobs
    connect by prior job_id = parent_job_id
    start with PARENT_JOB_ID IS NULL and job_id = 2409645
    I need a slight tweak somewhere, but can't quite get there!
    Oracle version is 9i
    Many thanks for your help in advance.

    When you have poted some sample data and the results you want from that data , explain how you get those results. Pick a couple of rows of output, and explain how you got every column in the results from the data. Be specific.
    The table has a 'pig ear' relationship......so job_id can have the same parent_job_id.....What is a "pig ear" relationship? (I like the name.)

  • Infoset Query-concatenate fileds

    Dear Experts,
    How to Concatenate two fields into a local field in an infoset query.
    Regards
    Jogeswara Rao

    Hello Jogeswara,
    If you are creating an additional field in the query, then do the following when calling transaction code SQ02.
    1.  Click pushbutton labeled Extras and create an additional field.  Make sure that it is in character format and that its length is long enough to fit the two fields to be concatenated including a space in between (if desired).
    2.  Then click the CodingForAddition pushbutton for the field you created in step 1.  Enter your CONCATENATE command.
    Suppose you want to concatenate MARA-ERNAM and MARA-ERSDA into additional field NAME_DATE separated by a space.  Define NAME_DATE to be character of length 23 which is large enough to contain the maximum size of the concatenated fields plus a space.  You would enter the command below for the additional field.
    CONCATENATE MARA-ERNAM MARA-ERSDA INTO NAME_DATE
    SEPARATED BY SPACE.
    Kind Regards,

  • InfoSet Query modification error

    Hi,
    I am trying to modify a InfoSet Query in SQ01 developed by a SD consultant last time. I already assigned my user ID in the User Group (in SQ03) which is referred by this Query. At the same time, I also assigned the Change Authorization to my ID.
    After that, I modified this InfoSet in the SQ02 to add on 1 table and the Save is successful. Then I try to modify the display layout of the Query in SQ01. When I save it, it give me a message "The query is locked for changes by SDUSER". The ID SDUSER is used by the SD consultant last time. Then the modification is not saved.
    I already checked in AL08 and also SM04, and found that this user is not log in at that time.
    I already done whatever I know to try to solve this problem but I still can't settle it. Can anyone please help me on this? Why can this happen? How can I unlock it?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    the lock was made by SDUSER when he created the querie. It's an option in the first screen "Title, Format" (specials attributes). When this option is select, only the specific user can change the query (sometimes some modifications are allowed by other user's in specific conditions).
    The only way of resolving the problem, is the SDUSER to disable that option from there. After that you will be able to change it.
    If that user doesn't exists, you must call the Basis team to create the user again, log on, and change the option.

    Hi Dave,
    We can use custom code to convert seconds to HH:MM:SS
    Public Function Calculate(ByVal TotalSeconds as Integer) as String
    Dim Hours, Minutes, Seconds As Integer
    Dim Hour, Minute, Second As String
    Hours = floor(TotalSeconds/ 3600)
    IF Hours<10
       Hour="0" & Hours.ToString
    Else
       Hour=Hours.ToString
    End IF
    Seconds = TotalSeconds Mod 3600
    Minutes =floor( Seconds / 60)
    IF Minutes<10
       Minute="0" & Minutes.ToString
    Else
       Minute=Minutes.ToString
    End IF
    Seconds = Seconds Mod 60
    IF Seconds<10
       Second="0" & Seconds.ToString
    Else
       Second=Seconds.ToString
    End IF
    Return Hour & ":" & Minute & ":" & Second

  • Localized text for hour, minute, second, week, today, etc.

    You are able to get localized text for the weekday name, e.g. to get your localized name of "monday", use
    SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("EEEE");
    String name = sdf.format(gregorianCalendar.getTime())for month names, you would use the format String MMMM:
    SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("MMMM");Are there additional localized text available through some API? I'm looking for translations for "next", "previous", "day", "week", "month", "year", "hour", "minute", "second", "now", "today", "OK", "Cancel". (Of course, I could translate these myself and offer a MessageBundle, but if there are already translations down there through the API, why do work twice ;-)

  • Save date with precision (Hour, Minutes, seconds ) using V.O.

    Hi all,
    I'm using Jdeveloper 11g.
    I have an Entity object with a column called 'createdOn' of type Date and an entity based View Object with the same type.
    I'm trying to save today's Date with precision (day, month, year, hour, minutes, seconds) Using the view Object, but when I look in the Data Base, always appears the date without time.
    Here is my code in the application Module to save the data, I've tried some things but nothing...
    First I've tried using oracle.jbo.domain.Date, and I've tryed using Calendar as well. Nothing with
    ViewObjectImpl voSample = getSamples1View1();
    //Date creation for View Object
    oracle.jbo.domain.Date today = new Date(Date.getCurrentDate());
    //Calendar today = Calendar.getInstance();
    //loop through the list of samples (TESTGROUPTYPES), and create the objects
    while( it.hasNext())
    Row rowSample = voSample.createRow();
    SequenceImpl sequence = new SequenceImpl("SAMPLES_SEQ", voSample.getApplicationModule());
    rowSample.setAttribute("SampleId", sequence.getSequenceNumber());
    rowSample.setAttribute("CollectionId", stCollectionId);
    rowSample.setAttribute("TestgroupType",it.next());
    rowSample.setAttribute("UnitId",stUnitId);
    rowSample.setAttribute("SampleStatus", "ORDERED");
    rowSample.setAttribute("SampleBackup", "false");
    rowSample.setAttribute("CreatedOn", today);
    voSample.insertRow(rowSample);
    voSample.getApplicationModule().getTransaction().commit();
    Any help will be usefull,
    thanks in advance
    XAVI.

    Hello John,
    yes, I changed the date mask using
    alter session set NLS_DATE_FORMAT='DD/MM/YYYY-hh24:mi:ss'
    if i execute to_char(<date_column>, 'YY-MON-DD HH:MI:SS') on that column, the result is:
    09-MAY-27 12:00:00
    09-MAY-27 12:00:00
    09-MAY-27 12:00:00
    To launch the queries and see the results I'm using the JDeveloper's SQL WorkSheet.
    I can update the data and time and the time persists in the DB
    08-FEB-26 08:07:56
    so, i think there's something in hte EO, VO or App Module method that I'm doing wrong...
    The Entity Attribute is confirured:
    name: CreatedOn
    Type: Date
    Value type: literal
    Values checked: Persistent, Precision Rule and Queryable
    database column: CREATED_ON, type: DATE
    The View attribute is configured:
    Name: CreatedOn
    Type: Date
    Value type: Literal
    checked: Mapped to Column or SQL, Selected in query, queryable
    query column: Alias: CREATED_ON, Type: DATE

  • Hour:Minute presentation in Oracle

    Hi,
    I have to create table with every minute time presentation.
    There will be three fields
    TIME_DESC          Values: 00:00, 00:01,... , 12:32, 12:33,... ,23:58, 23:59 (according to hours and minutes)
    Hour          Values: 00-23 (according to hours)
    Minute          Values: 00-59 (according to Minutes)
    So, single record will look like || 01:05 || 01 || 05 || or || 22:25 || 22 || 25 ||
    How can i implement this table creation in single Oracle query?
    Thanks.

  • Convert :-  Minutes to Days:Hours:Minutes

    Hi Friends ,
    I want to convert the time value from MINUTE to  HH : MM : SS
    I mean in input i have to pass  200 Minutes and in Output i want to get the no of hr and minutes in the format  03 : 20  ( HH:MM) . I have used the FM "CONVERSION_EXIT_SDURA_OUTPUT" for this .
    This works fine for  time input values upto 5 digits  like  ( 20000 minutes) =  333:20 (HH:MM) ,
    when the input value is more than 5 digits , ex - 200000 this FM does not work .
    Is there any FM where i can get the conversion from MINUTE to HH :MM:SS  or from Minutes to DAYS :HPURS:MINUTES .
    I have searched SDN , but i dint get the exact FM which i want ,
    If any body has any idea on the same please guide me on the same .
    Regards
    Parbhudutta

    Thanks all for all of your valuable inputs .
    IBy using FM : MONI_TIME_CONVERT  , i am able to get  HH:MM:SS  format data by giving input as seconds .
    But the issues i have is , i have  data as input in seconds which is noear to a 10 digit number like
    200000000 seconds , which does not work  for this FM .
    I have input data in MINUTES which is near to 10 digit , exmp -  239879798 minutes . So i want to convert this no to ( DAYS : HOURS : MINUTES : SECONDS )
    Other FMs that has been given by you guys i have checked but i am not able to get exactly what i want .
    Anyway thanks again .

  • Infoset query: Runtime Errors  TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED

    Hi
    I have searched the forum and could not find suitable solution for my problem.
    We have an infoset query whose data source is an ABAP program and this is within our BW system only. Earlier it used to run perfectly fine. Recently, due to the increasing data, the load for the same is failing because of memory issue with runtime Error  TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED . The dump occurs within 5-7 minutes of the data load. Once, we give some more filter selections in the infopackage, it runs fine.
    Our problem is neither we can increase the memory any further nor we want to give filter selections in the infopackage. Also, once we execute the ABAP program alone, it runs fine.
    Any help to solve this problem is appreciated.
    Cheers
    Chanda

    Hi,
    There are 3 ways to avoid this kind of problem:
    1) Reduce the data set - if it is possible to process this in smaller
    chunks then please do. This is an infoset query - please be more restrictive in your selections
    - please refer to note 354657.
    When you work with infosets that use tables or joins then it is
    possible to read packages (from Rel. 6.10 on). When you work with
    infosets that use logical databases or data retrieval programs than
    it is not possible to read packaged - by technical restrictions.
    That means that the query is executed completely taking all restrictions
    into account and the result is stored internally.
    2) Re-allocate some of the unused shared memories to program memory.
    A prime candidate for this is Roll and Page "In Memory" values.
    Alternative memory management via PHYSMEMSIZE generally overallocates
    roll and page memory. Please reduce the amounts allocated to the "in
    memory" part (see ST02) using the parameters below, for instance:
    rdisp/ROLL_MAXFS....Total amt of ROLL (Filesystem+SHM); in 8KB blocks
    rdisp/ROLL_SHM......Shared memory element of Roll; in 8KB blocks
    rdisp/PG_MAXFS......Total amt of Page (Filesystem+SHM); in 8KB blocks
    rdisp/PG_SHM........Shared memory element of Roll; in 8KB blocks
    =>Filsystem amt = MAXFS - SHM
    60MB or so each in memory should be sufficient.
    This should allow an extra 260Mb or so for process memory.
    Bear in mind however that Roll_SHM MUST be greater than 10% of
    Roll_MAXFS.
    This will not affect alternative memory management operation in any way.
    3) Reduce the em/global_area_MB from 128 to 64MB.
    These measures should give you ~320MB additionally per work process.
    To get even more - if there is a 64 bit machine in the landscape then
    redirect the load there.
    I would like for you to review the SAP Note 712664. Although
    the Notes 20527, 369726 and 166551 specifically refers to this
    and has helped resolve multiple performance problems.
    I hope it can help you.
    Fran.

  • Transform a cell with avalue of mintues to another cell to show hours:minutes

    I would like to use be able to fill out one cell in plain mintues(for example 75 min) which I want to be shown in another cell as hours:minutes( 1hrs:15min).

    HI Micke,
    What you use in column D depends on what you actually want or need the result to be—a duration value, including units (h and m), a number representing the number of hours and fraction of hour with the unit label in the next column, or a text value showing the number of hours and the number of 'extra; minutes including unit labels.
    The value in column B is a number, which, according to your original question, you want to display in column D as a duration in hours and minutes.
    The English language function to do that is DURATION. Here's the syntax for regions where the decimal separator is a period.
    DURATION(weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds, milliseconds)
    In my localization, the formula in D would be =DURATION(,,,B)
    In your localization DURATION would be replaced by the Swedish name for this function, and the three commas would be replaced by semi colons:
    =FUNCTIONNAME(;;;B)
    Format the cell in column D as DURATION with hours and minutes as the units to include in the display.
    Although that will convert the number in B to a duration in D, the labels "Min" and "Hrs" in the cells to the right of theseclls in the image of your table implies that what should be in both of these cells should be a number value representing the number of minutes (B) and the number of hours, including (decimal) fractional hours (D) with the unit shown by the label in the adjacent column.
    =B/60
    Formatted to show two places after the dcimal will show the number representing hours and hundredths of hours equivalent to the number of minutes shown in column B.
    If you are using this value in further calculations, this may be the best type of value to place in this cell.
    If the cell is for display only, you can build a text string displaying the number of hours and minutes (with whatever labels you wish to put in for Hrs and Min using QUOTIENT and MOD
    =QUOTIENT(B,60)&" Hrs "&MOD(B,60)&" Min"
    This is a text value, and can't be used in further calculations. (but the calculations could probably be revised to use the value in B.

    Barry
