House move, disabled parent and no phone for three...

Hi... Can anyone help me with this as I can't believe I'm the first to have experienced the problem. I move house on 1st May. On 21st April I contacted BT in respect of my house move. The really helpful team at home movers could not find a line at my new property despite agreeing that there was a number and a BT line there. Some kind of glitch blocked their ability to get me sorted. After approx four hours of phone calls to four separate advisors I was told that an engineer would have to go to the property. The earliest date I could be offered is 22nd May. Over three weeks away. I have a severley disabled father (stroke) who will be living with me for a few weeks after my move and with no mobile reception (I live in hilly west wales) I'm now scared not to be able to get a landline fitted incase of emergencies. The BT homemovers team seemed unable to bring my engineer visit foward.... does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to disable drag and drop feature for a document library.
Drag and drop in SharePoint 2013 is a feature that depends on HTML5, which requires version of browser, SharePoint by default doesn’t has feature to disable or enable this.
You can try disabling the drag and drop feature by disabling an add-on in Internet Explorer, or
using Internet Explorer 9 or lower.

Hi,We recently bought one PS3 and I foud a big problem. I'm adult but one of the users of it is under age.I registered his account as a sub acount of mine and I disabled parental control cause I want his account unrrestricted. He can play MW3 on history mode but can't play online (says that Its restricted by the parental control). I disabled all settings about parental control in PS3 and on his sub-account but still cant play. ¿We cant remove that restricction or we have to fake the age? How to get telephone and mobile phone for one partner

Hello Expert,
In VA03, I open one sales order and go into the partner tab. Then I selection one partner and click "Detail" button, one page with partner detailed information will pop up.
In the pop-up window:
There are two fields: Telephone and Mobile Phone.
In my program, I want to get these two information.
I tried to call FM 'ADDR_COMM_GET' by passing address_number(VBPA-ADRNR), table_type('ADTEL'), iv_current_state(SPACE). For some partner, it works, but for others it doesn't work.
Then I find table ADR2 which is used to keep phone infomration. There are two entries in the table. But how can I identity which one is telephone and which one is Mobile phone?
So can any expert help me on how to get the telephone and Mobile Phone of the pop-up page?

Read ADR2-TEL_NUMBER where ADDRNUMBER = VBPA-ADRNR and R3_USER = '2' or '3'.

Recall process movement type configuration and account assignment for 671

Hi Gurus-
We have a retail recall business scenario.
1. Create STO from Distribution Center and receive goods with 671 at DC from the store. If the store moving average price is $1.10 and at DC Mov. Avg. Price is $1.00. GL account for Inventory posting at DC is updated with store Mov. Avg. Price and the difference is posted at the Proce Difference account (PRD) account. In other words DC account gets updated with $1.00 and $0.10 is posted in PRD account.
The problem-
1. Is there any configuration to configure the movement type or recall document type to post to DC account at Store Retail moving average price ($1.10) without posting the PRD account? If not, any user exit that we can diploy to take the store mov. avg. price ($1.10) at the time of posting against delivery for 671?
2. Also, if we are able to post the delivery with Store mov. avg. Price, the moving avg price at DC is likely to get updated with $1.10. How we can avoid that? Leave the moving avg. price at $1.00 at DC

Hi, I am trying to find a way of using a batch file or vbscript to disable Client for Microsoft Networks and File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks on a Network Interface Controller.
I've done some searching on the internet and I can see some suggestions to locate the Setting ID of the NIC and then remove the value from the "Bind" string under "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Linkage" and "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Linkage"
I tried this but it didn't seem to uncheck itself from the NIC properties under NCPA.cpl
Can someone help me?

Slow Speeds, no phone for two months, extortionate...

Last summer, in preparation for Infinity (or so we were told), work was carried out at our local cabinet. Most houses in the street lost their phone for days, weeks or even months.
Thankfully we have a second line in the house dating back to dial up days and the broadband is on that line so broadband was unaffected.
Our phone was dead for two months. I phoned BT several times a week during the outage and was told each time that they couldn't help me but promised someone would ring back. We made probably ten to twenty phone calls, and never received even one call back. Before you think that they couldn’t return the call because the line was dead, of course they had another number where they could reach us!
After a couple of months the phone just started working again. Unsurprisingly we were not informed that it had been fixed, or why it was out for so long or anything like that. Never heard anything from any customer service representative, never received any compensation or an apology.
A week ago our phone went dead again. Phoned up and since this time there was a question that it might be an internal fault, BT were suddenly extremely interested in fixing it. BT engineer visited, replaced a meter of internal wiring that had become damaged and was gone in under thirty minutes – price £380! Yes THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY POUNDS. Some of us have to work months to save that much. Obviously BT are very willing to fix things when there’s money to be made and you can (in theory) get someone else to fix it. When it’s a fault in their street cabinets that only they can fix they don’t seem quite so keen on fixing the problem, no wonder!
If the man had arrived in a plain white van instead of one with BT printed on the side you would almost expect to see him on an episode of BBC "Rogue Traders".
A year on and Infinity is still not available to us, although people only a few doors down the street can get it. Every time we’ve enquired we’ve been told it will become available to us within the next month or two, but that’s been going on for a couple of years now, they just keep pushing back the date. I don’t anticipate it anytime soon, so in the meanwhile will fall back on the regular BT ADSL line, which in the last couple of weeks has halved in speed. Unrelated to the fault on the first line, remember, because it’s a different line.
Of course I don’t live in the middle of nowhere. There’s been broadband here for twelve years. Twenty-five minutes on the train from central London and even the (ex) council houses here have Porsches parked in front. This is a wealthy area, which doesn’t really benefit the poor locals like me, but you would think we would get Infinity at some point.
No phone for two months, never being called back, charged £380 for a meter of cable and now getting half the broadband speed I was two or three years ago.
BT probably call this progress.

if you would like some assistance from the forum with your conenction speed then please can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and run btspeedtester (MAC users may have problems) bt speedtester and post the results .
are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

Disabling SMB2 and SMB3 Client from Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.

There are many programs that are using a shared file on the server from clients from XP to Windows 10. From time to time it seems like there is a network outage and the handle to the file is broken and the file
cannot be read or updated. It seems more prevalent on a Windows 2012 server but may have happened from time to time on 2008 & 2008 R2. However there are not any network problems so it just leaves the server & Client
I have searched for possible resolutions including:-
Turning off the Cache for the share
Disabling the network adapter power setting to allow windows to put the device to sleep.
Disabling Antivirus/configuring it to ignore folders for on access scanning
Disabling SMB Signing
Configuring the clients DWORD registry value SilentForcedAutoReconnect=1 in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\NetCache
Setting the "NET CONFIG SERVER /AUTODISCONNECT:-1" to not drop client
connections
The last bit of trouble shooting that I can think of is to disable SMB2 and SMB3 as that does a lot of caching and batching of packets which could also be the cause of the problem.

I have disabled SMB2&3 on the server as that is very straight forward.
When I get to the section about disabling SMB2 on the client the command fails.

  After running the above command, it returns an error:
      [SC] ChangeServiceConfig FAILED 1059:
      Circular Service Dependency was specified.
So it's not worth running the following command:
sc config mrxsmb20 start= disabled
I have tried the command on Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 10 just to confirm that it's nothing to do with any particular PC, machines in Domains and Non-Domain machines.
So, my questions are:-
1, is

2, How do I disable SMB2 and SMB3 on clients for troubleshooting purposes the server to resolve problems with shared files (multi user access)
3, If I just disable SMB2 & 3 from the server would that force the clients not to use SMB2 when communicating with the server and therefore not caching the directory structure and file not found etc? I have seen posts that suggest this is not the case.
4. Does sc.exe have a bug in it?

I made a test in our testing enviroment, everything works fine to disable SMB2 and 3. For your problem, in my opinion, as I didn't find any specific report about this error, it would be better to use Process Monitor to capture the trace when running the
command.
Start Process Monitor, then set the filter as cmd.exe, after that, open CMD and execute the command.

Many thanks for the time taken to look into this.
I've downloaded process monitor and loaded it. I filtered for cmd.exe started capture and saved a 1mb file.
However I don't think this is going to help unless you can point me in the direction of what you're expecting to see in the capture file? If you want me to send you it I can but it does contain personal information which I'd rather not place online.
You can recreate the problem yourself by doing the following:
Go to modern.ie
Download any windows 7 virtual machine for your preferred of virtualisation platform
log in, start cmd as administrator and run the command
sc.exe config lanmanworkstation depend= bowser/mrxsmb10/nsi
You will also receive the same error.
[SC] ChangeServiceConfig FAILED 1059:
Circular Service Dependency was specified.
You can also try it on the Windows 8 and 8.1 machine if you have time.
I checked the link to the similar error and that just looks at the file not found problem which is the smb2 cache. They still didn't resolve the slow access to the share which is seen on a machine that has anti-virus on it when you go to right click
on the folder or a file in the folder. It's about a 20 second (spinning circle) pause every time. The problem is bigger than that. If you have shared files on the network share that are used by multiple people at the same time, say a spreadsheet or database
file windows is loosing the connection to that file so the user cannot write to it even if they have the file open. The smb2 caching shouldn't cause that problem.
It appears that I have to disable from SMB2 and SMB3 and ensure that the clients only use SMB1.
If SMB2 & SMB3 are disabled from the lanmanworkstation service the clients will not do any caching even if the server has disabled the share cache (offline files for that share).
The problem with the "Circular reference" error message is standard across all versions of windows that have "smb2" or "smb2 and smb3". Can you recreate that problem? Or is it working on your windows computer and on the machines
downloaded from modern.ie ?
My testing has shown that the command "sc.exe config lanmanworkstation depend= bowser/mrxsmb10/nsi" does not work. Therefore that's the one I want to resolve first. By resolving that I may be able to get the clients accessing the share to behave
themselves and use the shared files correctly as they always did from Windows 95/NT4 through to Windows XP and 2003/2008 server.
I'm unable to recreate the problem with multiple users having access to shared database files on windows 2012 server from Windows 7 clients were the access to the files drops once a day or once every couple of days.

XML having many parents and many children but all unrelated!***URGENT***

This is very urgent..Please HELP!!!
Iam in a project which is planning to store the entire XML file in the database in a XML datatype column. The XML has multiple parents AND multiple children for each of those parents. My problem is how to read/store the data for each of the parent and associate the parent to the child elements. The child elements does not have a parentID in its column. Here is an example- Parent table - SHIPMENT. Child Table - SHIPMENTUNITS. ShipmentNBr is the business key in both these tables. This column comes in the SHIPMENT node but does not come in the SHIPMENTUNITS node. When I try the OPENXML, all the data just gets stored..how do I link the child to the parent?

I don't quite understand what you want to achieve.
If you store the data in an XML data type then you get the XML as is and all the children are associated with their parents.
If you want to decompose them into relational tables using OpenXML, then you either use the id values provided in the data and use the parent axis, or if no such id values are present look at the so called meta properties @mp:id and @mp:parentid. In your case you have the shipment number and unit number that you could use. The first approach you can do with the nodes() method too (but the meta properties are OpenXML only).
In the following example I show you both. In your case you don't need the @mp: parts. Also, since OpenXML needs a complete document I added a single root node.

Disabling Sharpening and Noise Reduction

Hello. I have Lightroom 1.2. I have over a 1,000 images to process. How can I disable sharpening and noise reduction for all of them without having to click that little detail box for each of the images. I use Noiseware for noise reduction and Focalblade for sharpening. If there is something in a folder within Lightroom I can delete to remove sharpening forever, please let me know. Of course, I want to perform the other corrections in Lightroom as necessary. Thank you.

Jao, Thank you. I have asked this question elsewhere before. I have recieved replies, maybe I did not follow the directions properly, but they never worked. The sharpening would be disableduntil I went to make another correction. Then back to sharpening Lightroom would go. Your way, sharpening is disabled for all the images and stays that way.
