I am new to ADF and i have a ADF page developed with Select Many Choice as one of the component , this field can be multiple numbers , i would
like to capture each one the value being selected under each message choice and print them using sop .
Let me explain through example :

: Role 5
Where Application 1 , 2 are name of the Select Many choice component and Role 1 , 2 .. are values inside various Message choice .
Now if i select Role 1 in Application 1 and Role 5 in Application 2 , i would like to print each of these information on click of a button.
can some one help to achieve this .
Note : All the values like Application 1 , 2 and Role 1,2,3 etc are just hard coded , not using any data base .

Monitor & capture incoming request.

Could you anyone guide me how to capture no. of incoming request in weblogic?
I am performaning a load test on a web service and it seem that some request is queued and wait for process.
how could monitor this?
in addition, is it possible log/capture the request serialization between its enter into web service?
For example,
1. i have a uploadFile(byte[] file) web service.
2. binary file from client will then translate from binary into base64string.
3. the base64string will then be translated into the byte[] in server side. <---how could capture this time?

How can I tell how long a request has been sitting on an execute queue?

Is it possible to determine (in WL 8.1 and/or 10.3) how long an HTTP request has been sitting on the execute queue before being assigned to a servlet?
Under heavy load, I'm finding that the caller times out by the time the servlet tries to write the response because the request has been waiting on the execute queue for too long. To prevent doing all the work to process the request, I want to be able to see how long the request has been waiting to determine whether it's worth processing the request.
Currently I use the getExecuteThreadTotalCount() method in ExecuteQueueRuntimeMBean and assume that if the count is high, the request has probably been waiting for a while, but getting the actual time on the queue would be much better.

Further investigation and a bunch of speed tests later, I'm even more puzzled. Between 7 pm and 9pm this evening, download speed has been consistently at 112kb, except for the 1 in 10 occasions where it hits 1.5mb, for 30 or 40 seconds, before dropping back to 112kb.
Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?

Can anyone explain how to use setFireActionForSubmit.
I am extending the Controller of ShoppingCartPG. In the extended controller processRequest method I am adding a button to the table and setting up the setFireActionForSubmit, so when the button is pressed it raises the event associated with the setFireActionForSubmit.
I need to pass the RequisitionLineId as a parameter which is present in the VO associated with the ShoppingCartPG.
I have used the following code in processRequest

Unable to capture the Data Source into a Transport Request

Hi All,
We have a product hierarchy and we are using the data source :4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER for the hierarchy.
Now we need to transport this structure to the quality environment but we were not able to capture the datasource:4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER into a transport request.
When ever we activate the data source:4R_PRODH_D_LGEN_HIER it is asking for the Package and the Transport Request Number.If we give these details and save it, data source is not getting captured in the request, only the "bject Directory Entry" is getting captured.
Can someone please guide me on how to capture the datasource under "Data Sources in BW" in a transport request.

Hi Sachin,
Hierarachy datasource is not captured as Attributes and Text Datasource. So what ever you have done is correct.
What ever is captured in Object Directory Entry is correct. So go ahead with your transports, once transport is done check the Hierarchy Infopackage with Available OLTP hierarchies and load the data.
Most important thing first see that the all Master & Transactional Datasources are transported in R/3 Dev to QA to PRD
In BW, datasources are not transported, only their replica is transported.
Transportation of Datasource is done in R/3. Only their replica is transported in BW.
So wht ever you have done till now is correct. So go ahead.
While attaching Hierarchy Datasource it is captured only in "Object Directory Entry"

How to capture the user change in an input field on a selection screen?

I am coding a selection screen in which there are two input fields. The first field takes a Unix directory from the user input. Based on the input value, the second field will be populated with a the name of a file under the corresponding directory.
My question is how I can make the program capture the user input without having to make the user press ENTER after they enter the value in the first field?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Actually you led me to the real solution! It's the function module DYNP_VALUES_READ that does the trick for me. This function enables the program to capture dynamic user changes without recourse to PAI. Please refer to the code below:

WebEngine: how to capture the click on a link?

I need some insight into the inner workings of WebEngine: listeners seem to stop firing under certain conditions.
Problem description:
In my application I have to open certain urls in a new tab or in a different pane. Following jsmith's proposal in a different thread (Re: How to cancel page loading in WebView? I do the following:
- Based on the location of the link clicked, I decide if it has to be opened in place, in a new tab, or in a sort of popup pane (similar to a sheet window in MacOS/X as a fake modal dialog attached to the top of the window).
- To achieve this, I implement a locationProperty listener using "locationProperty().addListener".
- Inside the listener I use "getLoadWorker().cancel()" to stop the current engine from loading the url ...
- ... and load that url in a new tab or the popup pane.
This works fine, but when I return from the other tab or close the popup pane, the location property listener won't fire any more.
The same applies if I cancel in a stateProperty change listener.
Workaround:
As a workaround I can refresh the page using "getEngine().reload()" in a "Platform.runLater" thread, but the flickering is really ugly.
Analysis:
It looks as if the cancel comes too late. The first opportunity to capture the click on a link seems to be "getLoadWorker().stateProperty()" where "Worker.State" is "SCHEDULED"; after that fires the listener on "locationProperty()". In either case "getLoadWorker().cancel()" seems to invalidate the listeners.
I have experimented with another development platform which also uses Webkit. There it's possible to truely cancel out before a link is loaded. So it should be possible in JavaFX as well...
Question:
Does somebody know how I can capture the click on a link without redeveloping the web application (which I can't)?

If, after calling getLoadWorker().cancel(), you no longer receive location change notifications upon further clicks on links, it looks like a bug. Feel free to file an issue with Jira.
However, it is probably too fragile to rely on the location property and the cancel method in your case, due to asynchronous nature of page loads.
Look at the WebEngine.createPopupHandler property. The popup handler will only be called if the page decides that a new window needs to be created, so it may not be able to help you fully solve your problem, but it may be worth a try.
Otherwise, consider the approach suggested by irond13. Install DOM event listeners on link objects (<a> tags) and do whatever you want in response to click events. You can do it solely in Java, see Re: Controlling what happens when a user clicks on a hyperlink in a WebView and Re: Communicate from WebView to JavaFX scene for details and example.
Finally, if you do think a more direct callback on WebEngine is a necessity, consider extending http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-17073 or filing a new feature request.

How to capture the change in the update mode (for Inventory) in a transport

I recently changed the update mode for Inventory Controlling from Unserialized V3 Update to Queued delta in R/3 DEV environment. When I was doing the change it did not prompt for a transport request. Now I have to somehow capture this in a transport and move it to R/3 Quality environment. How do I capture this change in a transport.

there are 2 options
1) try changing back and forth and see if it prompts for a request
2) Create a customizing request and add the following entry into the request
Program ID - R3TR; Object type - TABU; Object name - TMCEXUPD
and make the entry ...How ?? Click on the key that you see under the column 'Function'
client/application component.. if client is 100 and application component is 11
then the table entry should be 10011

From the workflow when you create the link, also add the proposal number as an url parameter.
For example if the url for requesting WD application is <WD_URL>, then URL with parameter would be
<WD_URL>?PROPOSAL_NO=<actual_proposal_number>
In the webdynpro, you can access this parameter with the following piece of code(ideally in wdDoInit of component controller).
String proposalNo = WDProtocolAdapter.getProtocolAdapter().getRequestObject().getParameter("PROPOSAL_NO");

A couple of years ago i would have recommended using the INDX table, but it has got it's demerits.
Maintenance of Z-table is easier than the INDX table. Say there is some error in the program & you want to override the flag. Will it be easier to do so in the INDX table or via SM30 for the Z-Table?
As a matter-of-fact i will recommend using the solution provided by Florian the TVARVC technique.
1. Create a parameter(specific to your program) & transport it.(See the trxn STVARV)
2. In your program check the value of this param & set it accordingly.
Using TVARVC you will 2 birds with one stone:
1. You don't have to create a custom table.
2. Easy maintenance via STVARV trxn.
