How bad was your screen cracked?

Hi, today as I got out of the car I slipped and dropped my phone, you can tell it hit the top right corner and shattered all the way from the top to the bottom, chipping the top area.
I can no longer use the touch screen, but I could when I had first dropped it, and there's big blobs of black. I'm going to attempt a walk-in for tomorrow, and see about getting it fixed, and wondered how bad yours was when you took it in, and if they made you flat out get a replacement or just fixed it? I don't know if they'll have to replace the LCD and then some or what but just wanted to know?

Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider has to check the phone and see if more than the screen got damaged. If yes, you'll have to pay the Out-Of-Warratny-Service fee for getting the whole phone replaced:

Sorry, you can't do that in Safari. Not only is it not necessary, but even if it were, you can't hide the tabs, as that would have the effect of hiding the page you're viewing, too. If you want to enlarge the window to fit the content of what you're looking at, all you need to do is click once on the green button at the top left of the window; clicking again will return it to the previous size.
You can install Glims to give you the option of maximizing the window, but it won't hide any tabs, either.

The little box with the arrow pointing to the right at the top of your browser window, if you tap on it and option box will open and one of the options will allow you to tweet the image.

I saw a LG range that was for sale at frys for 499. best buy had it for 1299 or something. I went to store asked if they had it, lady said they don't have it in stock buy they can order it. so she sends me to appliance guy and he tries to order it when it came to payment i presented the price match. and he said it cant do that big of a price match. try calling best buy at this # 1888 237 8289.
when i called best buy price match hotline i talk to Cody (girl) she calls frys and says they don't carry it, I said it is possible that they may have ran out of stock while we were talking but they definitely carried it. I said i just called and they have it because it on sale today and its on the flyer, so she says lets call together and you can talk. at this point after long wait we get a rep, i gave them the model # LRG3095ST and referenced the ad and she said we just sold the last one. at this point i asked cody if she had anymore questions at this point i am expecting to here cody but nothing, she disconnected the call ( may be because she had to deal with such a big price match or may be they are trained to do this so they would avoid taking loss from big price matches like this one.) (IF THIS WAS NOT INTENTIONAL SHE HAD MY HOME # AS WELL AS CELL TO CALL ME BACK BUT NOP).
AT THIS POINT I LOST OUT ON PICKING UP FROM FRYS, THINKING BESTBUY WILL DO A PRICEMATCH.
I called back and got jessica, i asked if i can talk to same person so i don't have to start the story all over but she said they have no way of knowing who was the last person. so i repeat the whole story again and explain that it was available when i was at the store and before i called you guys. so she says ok fine i have to get approval from a supervisor. then she comes back and says supervisor is not available at the moment, so i asked when will he be back and his name. she said they are not allowed to give that info. ( i was very surprised) she said she would have them call you back, so i said looking forward to it. I waited the whole day 3/12/15 and next day till afternoon, never heard back from anyone.
So again on 3/13/15 i decide to call back and get Terry. I asked if i had to repeat the whole story again and she was in a whole different world, not understanding a (removed per forum guidelines) thing. so i asked for supervisor again. So here I got Tod as their supervisor, I asked if he got any message to call me back and he did not answer. So he starts asking for my purpose, so i explained the whole story again and he says you have to take it up to store we cannot do anything that happened at the store. you should take it up to store and complain up to senior level and see if they can do anything.
AT THIS POINT I DIDN'T CARE I WOULD RATHER GO TO FRYS AND PICK UP ONE THEN RELYING ON BESTBUY TO DO A PRICE MATCH BECAUSE THEY DON'T REALLY CARE TO DO A PRICE MATCH IT JUST A WAY TO GET AND KEEP CUSTOMERS BUT WITH THIS KIND OR UNETHICAL PRACTICE SOON BEST BUY WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS. After your interaction with the appliances associate, did you speak to a manager about his having declined your request? At what store did this occur?

How bad was I hacked?

My computer began taking up to 5 minutes to get passed the pin wheel before it would get to the log in screen. After a couple months I deleted a couple gigabytes of information. After turning the computer off when I turned it back on I did not have internet access the screen was stuck at the pin wheel. I took it to the apple store and they swiped it clean. They told me there was a lot of corruption. I think a very knowledgable "friend" hacked it from the computer itself. Is there any possibility that this computer is still hacked even though the hard drive was wiped clean?

Not if it's completely wiped it shouldn't be, this includes the hidden partitions of EFI and RecoveryHD, along with the MacintoshHD partition which contains OS X, files and programs.
If the Apple Store people used the RecoveryHD partition to wipe and restore, then they can't erase the entire drive from there as they are booted from one of the partitions, thus can only erase the MacintoshHD partition (and Bootcamp if it was enabled.)
The hidden EFI partition can only be erased via a external botoable medium or via Internet Recovery which resides in memory (RAM)
If the Apple Store people used Internet Recovery, then yes it was possible they wiped the entire drive, however they also could have only done the MacintoshHD parittion only.
If you really want the drive wiped, you have to get a new boot drive as it's blank of everything.
Then in order to format it, the hidden EFI and RecoveryHD partitions are created along with the MacintoshHD partition that contains OS X, programs and files.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
No one can say at an internet distance...only your specific qualified service center can say. Your contract is between you and either your wireless service provider or your authorized reseller...that contract will govern what could or could not be. You need to take it to your service provider for diagnosis and hopefully resolution.
But, with what you've described, there are a whole host of diagnostic steps that could be attempted here, if you are willing.

That's where I would begin, too, with
Repair Disk
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.TStatus of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report if it saysanything but Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need touse autility like TechTool Pro,Drive Geniusor DiskWarrior
First we need to determine if the issue you are experiencing with the computer is software or hardware based. Once we have gotten things sorted out there should be time enough to make you decision about keeping or returning it.
