How BPEL call an OWSM managed web services ?

Hello All,
I meet a case like this.
I defined a web services( WS1), and build a BPEL process(BP1) to call WS1, then security BP1 by OWSM. When I want to call BP1, I included WS-Security in header, and put username and password there. It works fine.
The I security the WS1 by OWSM ( Customer Requirement), then build another BPEL process(BP2) to call WS1. I also included WS-Security in header, and put username and password there. But it does not work and has Client.authenticationFault.
I have checed OWSM document, but could not find valuable information about this.
Anyone can help?
Thanks and regards,
Michael

I successfully tested a scenario similar to yours. For that you may need to apply some patches. Here is what I successfully tested
Client -> WSSE Headers -> BPEL -> HTTP Headers -> OWSM managed service
Client -> HTTP Headers -> WSM service -> WSSE Headers -> BPEL -> HTTP Headers -> service
Only thing I came to know lately is based on BPEL invocation binding you have to specify inbound credentials to BPEL so that you can propagate them to invoked partnerLinks.
SOAP Binding -> use WSSE Heders to invoke BPEL
HTTP Bindig -> use WWW-Authenticate headers
Java API inoke -> use java properties
Can you elaborate more on your scenario.

Rajesh

    Hi,
i have to invoke an external secure Web Service using SOA Suite 10.1.3.1, but i don´t know how to do this. Do i use OWSM gateway or Agent? how to configure the gateway or agent to pass the required security to the external secure web service.

Are you getting any errors? What type of XAI Class are you using?
One thing I've noticed is that if you are making changes to the XAI Sender you will have to restart the environment before the changes can take effect.
Also, if you are using RTHTTPSNDR as XAI Class you may have to include the HTTP Method - Post in the context.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to call an ABAP based web service from a web page (form)

    Hi,
I am trying to figure out how I can call my own developed ABAP based web service. I was able to successfully test it in the WS navigator and am now wondering what I need to do to embed the service call in a plain simply web page (form). Basically I'd like to create a web form allowing to specify the parameters and with a 'Submit' button pass the parameters to the web service and launch it.
Is this possible or do I need some kind of SDK to accomplish this?
Thanks for any hints and tips.

  • How to call Axis 2.0  web service without wsdl

    Hi,
Is it possible that I can call Axis 2.0 asynchronous web service in orabpel without wsdl.? As Axis 2.0 is not generating wsdl file.
    Regds,

A Web Service without a WSDL describing it??? Seems like a contradiction to me...
Are you 100% sure about this? I am not an Axis expert, but this sounds strange.

  • How to call OWSM secured web-service from ADF application

    I have a OWSM secured web-service, which takes username/password.
I want to invoke this webservice from ADF application. ADF application has its own security and it takes its own username/password. End user can't provide the username/password for web-service call. My ADF application should call the webservice and provide it appropriate username/password.
What is the best practice to handle such scenario. I don't want to hardcode username/password in Java (ADF) code.
    Thanks
    Sanjeev.

it is not clear to me if you are having problems with calling java code from OIM or if the problem is the web service API.
Lets do some divide and conquer:
Can you create a simple java class that just writes a couple of lines to the log? Please attach this code to the OIM task and make sure it runs.
Once this works we can start looking at the web service call.
    Best regards
    /Martin

  • How to deploy JAR as a Web Service

    Hi,
I am new to BPEL and interested in building Web Services using BPEL. For this I am using Oracle BPEL Process Manager(JDeveloper).
I have a standalone Java application (which I run from command prompt) and ant script which generates the JAR file. Can I deploy this JAR as a web service using Oracle BPEL.
I have seen the examples given by Oracle BPEL and it was mentioned that using WSIF we can create WSDL file for our java class and call this WSDL as a partner link in my BPEL process. But how should I replicate it to my application.
Can you please direct me in proceeding further.
    Thanks
    /Kiran.

  • 401 Unauthorized Error When calling a SharePoint REST web service from SharePoint 2013 Workflow

We have our Workflow Manger installed on the same server as our SharePoint 2013 WFE development environment. When creating a SharePoint 2013 Workflow all Calls to a SharePoint 2013 REST web service results in a 401 Unauthorized error.
As an example I created a simple workflow that should return a JSON result. The REST Url returns the results in the browser without error.
    Set Variable:webServiceUrl to https://<hostnamedsitecollection>/_vti_bin/client.svc/web/lists/getbytitle('ISR%20Approvers')/Items?$select=Title&$filter=Title%20eq%20%27General%27
then Build{...} Dictionary (Output to Variable:requestHeaders)
then Call [%Variable:webServiceUrl%] HTTP web service with request (ResponseContent to Variable:responseContent |ResponseHeaders to responseHeaders | ResponseStatusCode to Variable:responseCode)
The RequestHeader is set to the requestHeaders variable though the web service call properties
then Log Variable:responseCode to the workflow history list
After manually running the workflow in SharePoint on a list item in the ISR Approvers list it Logs "Unauthorized" in the Workflow History Log. It does this with every SharePoint REST web service call that I have tried through the workflow.
It doesn't have anything to do with the Workflow Manger being installed on the same machine as the SharePoint WFE does it?
    Thank You for any insight

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you had 401 Unauthorized Error when calling a SharePoint REST web service from SharePoint 2013 Workflow.
Please make sure you use the ‘Call HTTP Web Service’ correctly.
You can enter the URL into the brower to check whether it is correctly.
    You need to
    create the Request header requestHeaders
    using a Dictionary:
    Accept : application/json;odata=verbose
    Content-Type : application/json;odata=verbose
    To associate the
requestHeaders variable, select the Call action
property, set the RequestHeaders property to
    requestHeaders.
Please refer to the following articles:

In addtion, you need to make sure you install the workflow manager correctly.

  • Index management web service

Hi im trying to use Index management web service from a Web dynpro
Have some one any code example  using searchFirstChunkInFolders function?? this function only works in folders indexed by some TREX index??
    Regards

    Hi Subrato,
in my opinion that's not correct. In fact it's the crawler service itself that needs the internalIndexDocuments() mathod's implementation.
So if no crawler was assigned to the index, no problem should arise, as no call to this method should occur. On the other hand, the exception is thrown and this meens that the method is indeed called by someone!
What I can't figure out is which crawler, since none is actually set for that index!
    Cheers, Davide

  • How to install and consume GroupWise Web Service (SOAP)

Hello! I'm Razvan, programmer from Romnia, and I am new to GroupWise development.
I am asking if anyone could help me with a C# Visual Studio 2010 example of how to install and consume GroupWise Web Service (SOAP).
The documentation from novell site didn't help me, i didn't understant much of it.
All I need is either a link to a documented GroupWise C# developer step-by-step tutorial, or some code examples.
Can you please show me some code examples in C# with:
1)loging in using a username and a password,
    2)retrieving contact list,
    3)retrieving appointment list,
    4)sending a mail,
    5)setting an appointment
I don't know how to use "groupwise.wsdl" and customise it so that it points to our GroupWise server.
Please, I really need this because I am working at a project right now which involves GroupWise integration.
I hope I haven't disturbed anyone with my simple question.
I know this might be a very simple question given the complexity of the other posts here, but that's why I really hope I will get an answer soon.
    Thank you very much!

    Just a comment.
The value for the version element should be "1.02"
    not "1.2".
