How to deploy JAR as a Web Service

Hi,
I am new to BPEL and interested in building Web Services using BPEL. For this I am using Oracle BPEL Process Manager(JDeveloper).
I have a standalone Java application (which I run from command prompt) and ant script which generates the JAR file. Can I deploy this JAR as a web service using Oracle BPEL.
I have seen the examples given by Oracle BPEL and it was mentioned that using WSIF we can create WSDL file for our java class and call this WSDL as a partner link in my BPEL process. But how should I replicate it to my application.
Can you please direct me in proceeding further.

If you are used to working with ant then you can very well use eclipse to deploy your web service.
You would usually have the ant script in the source root working directory. From eclipse if you select the build file from the navigator view and right click you will see a run ant option in the pop up menu.
Select that option and you would be able to see each targets with a checkbox select option. So define each target maybe one for wsdl2java conversion, one for compilation and one for deploying your web services. You can either make all of them run by having depends option on or you can run them individually as it takes your fancy.
I am not sure about debugging a web service yet.

How to deploy and start PHP web services required for a process

hello everyone!
i ve implemented some php web services. One of them is ManagePatientsImpl.php class
and the corresponding ManagePatients.wsdl.
How can deploy it? What are the files required apart from them?
In addition there are some GUI-files. Should these files be deployed together?

How to deploy a report with web service datasource

Hi Guys,
I have a RPT file(report) which is using some web service call to get data source and Information.
I am not able to deploy it properly as It gives " Error in file testReport Unknown Database Connector Error " while click at preview at server Central management Console.
Please tell me some way to resolve the issue.
I am not sure If I need to configure something at C:\Business Objects\common\3.5\java\CRConfig.xml for web service.
Actually, We are using web service call from report it self and probably there are some steps missed by me for deployment.

Hi Sanjay
First you create a report using the data source in Crystal Reports DesignerStand Alone Application and then save it to repository.
This is the easiest way to do it.
You can refer to Crystal Reports User guide and also BOXI Admin guide for the version you are using.

I have had the same or similar problem, in my case with
ColdFusion projects. I have uploaded several sample projects to my
shared hosting web server; all the projects that do not use a
server run fine, buit I have never been able to make the CF
projects run. I have posted about this two or three times, but
nobody ever answered.
Maybe our question was too stupid to deserve an answer from
busy people. I never thought of this, but today I got an email from
my Hosting provider. Quoting part of that message:
“We will be performing a ColdFusion upgrade to CFMX
7.02 on the
server where your account(s), timo, mochica, is/are hosted.
We have
scheduled the upgrade to take place between 3:00 AM EDT and
6:00 AM
EDT on Saturday, August 5th, 2006.
We do not anticipate more than 15 minutes of downtime once
the
maintenance begins .....”
Also, I found that the projects that do run require all those
files that are generated when FB builds the project, so I have been
uploading the entire output folder (usually, but not always,
‘bin’).
I’m hoping I won’t have any more problems after
Saturday.

InstantiationException when trying to reference an external jar in my web service sample

I'm working with Weblogic 6.1 SP3 (on NT platform) and, starting from weather
weblogic web service sample, I'm trying to build my first web service sample.
I developed a simple EJB (called OrderManager) that exposes the following functionalities
in its remote:

It seems that there is a problem to instantiate the com.bosslab.abs.beb.sci.ServiceHeaderVO
class included in the Beb.jar, so I thought the problem was related to the classpath
setting, maybe Beb.jar is not set properly in some place ...
To try solving this problem I did these steps:
-> exploded my WSOrderManager.ear
-> created a lib directory and put into it the Beb.jar
so now the ear structure is:

The WSDL is generated from my web service. I made heavy revisions to my web service which, in turn, affected the resultant WSDL. The changes I made to my web service were almost exclusively related to object substitution. For example, prior to the change I was referencing object A from my web service; after the change, I was referencing object B. The objects that I'm referring to are XMLBeans, if that matters. I can't really describe it more than that without actually showing you the WSDL.
I would post the WSDL file here to allow you to try to create a types jar out of it, but the WSDL exceeds the 30000 character limit for this field. There is no way for me to attach the WSDL to this post.

We have already registered the application server and Database in the connections navigator.In the Application server,we have created different domains.
We used to deploy the bpel process to particular domain in the appplication server.
But for the web services,when we deply the web service, we were getting only the application server name,how can we deploy our process to external oc4j(Application server)?

in I.E
https://sapme:5000/manufacturing-services/ProductionServiceService?wsdl you could see your FutureHold service
To do that in MII, you need Web Service action block. Have you work with MII transaction before?

Hello! I'm Razvan, programmer from Romnia, and I am new to GroupWise development.
I am asking if anyone could help me with a C# Visual Studio 2010 example of how to install and consume GroupWise Web Service (SOAP).
The documentation from novell site didn't help me, i didn't understant much of it.
All I need is either a link to a documented GroupWise C# developer step-by-step tutorial, or some code examples.
Can you please show me some code examples in C# with:

2)retrieving contact list,
3)retrieving appointment list,
4)sending a mail,
5)setting an appointment
I don't know how to use "groupwise.wsdl" and customise it so that it points to our GroupWise server.

How to develop and call Asynchronous web service

That should execute, once triggered and caller shouldnt need to wait till its completion.

Let your web service start its own background thread (*) somehow and move your business logic from web service to this thread. Then you can return from your web service. The client won't be blocked and your application will run on your server after service callout will be finished.
I hope that's what you need. Anyway, there is only "asynchronous communication" and nothing like "asynchronous web service". At least from HTTP point of view, every call is synchronous - you have request and response.
(*) You shouldn't start your own thread since you are in JEE world. Look at documentation for your container. E.g. for weblogic there are workers you can use this way. Or you can choose the other way. I hope that for any container you can just enqueue your web service request to any JMS queue and move your business logic to an appropriate MDB. Then, your web service will be just a simple JMS producer and your web service client won't be forced to wait for business logic to finish.
Last but not least, next time choose a better forum. :-)
