How can by default 'system date' needs come in selection screen automatical

I have 'Notification Date' in the selection screen of the report. And my client wants by default 'system date' needs to come automatically in the selection screen .
So how can i get the 'Default System Date' in the selection screen for 'Notification Date' when he runs the report .

1. Create a variable for 0Calday with the following details..
        Type of variable : Characteristic
        Variable name : Give the variable name
        Description : Give the description
       Processing by : Customer exit
       Characteristic : 0calday
       Ready for input : Make the flag enable
       Variable represent : single value
        Variable entry : Mandatory.
2. Go to CMOD , include the below code for that variable.
      When 'XXXXXX' .   ( XXXXXX - Variable name)
       If i_step = 1.
       clear l_S_range.
       l_s_range-low = sy-datum.
       l_s_range-sign = 'I'.          " I: Include, E: Exclude
       l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.         " EQ: Equal, BT: Between, ....
       APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
       endif.

Current time: System.currentTimeMillis. Date instances are not supposed to be updated.

How to get system default date format which is defined in Regional Setting of Control Panel.
We can get an instance of DateFromat using DateFormat.getDateInstance(DateFormat.SHORT) but problem is that there is no toPattern() exist in class DateFormat.
However toPattern() exist in class SimpleDateFormat but there is no costructor like SimpleDateFormat(DateFormat)
So please advise me, how can I get system short date format pattern?

I reterieve the system date format but not which is currently defined in regional setting of control panel but it returns the format which is installed by default when windows(os) is installed.

How can I set system date from java code?

Hi. I need to set the system date from my application. It must works on Windows7 so the "cmd /C date" must be executed with Administrator privileges.
I tried do it that
Process p = rt.exec("runas /user:" + env.get("COMPUTERNAME") + "\\Administrator \"cmd /C date " + dateYYYYMMDD + "\"");
Then process ask me for password for administrator but it terminates befor i send it. exitCode() returns 1.
Have you some idea how can I do it?

Define your select-option in TVARV (assume Z_THISWEEK). And use a program like:

System.currentTimeMillis() will give you the current
system date and time as a long value.
~I think the OP wants to change the system time not just get the system time.

It sounds like the iPod's storage has data corruption. You may be able to treat it like an external drive and use data recovery software on it, but it probably won't work because the system is telling you that the drive needs to be formatted before it is recognized.
If the problem is data corruption and there is no hardware-related problem on the iPod's hard drive, a Restore should fix the problem. But this will obviously erase the iPod's hard drive.
