How can I activate Educational Individual Use Only CS6 without the order number?
I was given CS6 as a gift and do no have the order number needed to activate it as it was a gift and as it is a educational Individual use only I don't know how else i can install and activate it.
The "Sim Free" iPhones, sold in the UK, will lock to the first UK carrier whose sim is inserted in the phone. They will not acticate or work with any other carrier, other than a UK carrier.
Return it for a refund as it will be useles to you where you live. You won't be able to activate it or get it officially unlocked. You'd first have to activate it in the UK & then regust the UK carrier to authorize the phone's official unlocking.

You don't. For a while, Apple sold 10.7 usb sticks, but they don't now. See if you can find one of them lying around. Otherwise, the mac app store is your only option. (P.S. To even get 10.7, you have to call Apple at 1-800-MY-APPLE and buy a download code. Lion is not availible on the app store without a code).

How can i get user to use my application without logging on as a developer?

Can anyone tell me or point me in the direction of information regarding allowing users to be pointed straight to an application on apex. Curently i log in via the apex.oracle.com home page use my database name then my username and password. But that only gets me in i want to allow user to be able to view and use the applications. How can i do this? Or is this indeeded possible i would assume that it is.

Another possibility is that if you host it yourself, or go with one of the production hosting companies then they can help you to configure it so that you can point a DNS name (e.g. www.yourapp.com) to point to your application, so that is all your users would need to enter into their browsers.

How can I activate my new, unlocked iPhone 4, without a voice/data plan?
Purchased a new, unlocked iPhone 4 directly from apple.com. We're going to be using it for in-house testing, and we don't want/need a service plan.
But we can't activate the phone without a SIM card. The only decent advice we've gotten is to activate it with someone else's iPhone 4 SIM card. But we'd need to do the same thing for any iOS update.
When I visited AT&T, they said I couldn't get an iPhone 4 SIM without a contract. I'm not entirely sure that employee was correct.
Any advice? This has been frustrating.You can purchase an unlocked iPhone, without contract, directly from Apple online or in any Apple retail store. Then get a cheap T-Mobile sim & activate the phone. Any T-Mobile store will be glad to help. AT&T wants ALL iPhone users under contract. While it is possible to establish service on a post-paid basis, AT&T does not like to do this for iPhone users. Since your phone is officially unlocked, you don't have to deal with AT&T.

How can I install windows 7 using boot camp, if the partition will not format correctly?

I'm new to this forum and have had a chance to look around a little bit, but haven't really found an answer to the problem that I'm having.
I have an imac and I'm attempting to use boot camp. I have used it in the past, with prior versions of mac os x, but this is the first time that I have tried it with 10.6.8. The first thing I found out is that I can't use Windows XP, even with service pack 2 installed, because it doesn't find the "boot camp" partition. So, I recently obtained a full retail copy of Windows 7 and have been trying to install it. I have no problem with the boot camp assistant creating the new partition, 200 GB. However, when I insert the Windows 7 DVD and the computer restarts in the Win 7 install screen it tells me that I cannot install Windows on the selected partition (which I expected to see.) So I choose "format" the further format the partition. It doesn't ask me how I would like to partition this, but just seems to start. All seems to go fine until it finishes and i see the same message of "Windows cannot be installed in the selected partition." I can click on the format tab endlessly but it still doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have any ideas? I've called Apple and their technicians keep telling me that I need to reinstall the Mac OS again, which I've tried. It doesn't seem to help either.

Delete the bootcamp partition and start again the correct partition type is GUID but BootCamp should take care of that automatically so try again. -

How can I generate my own InDesign ePub file without the encryption.xml file?
My bookstore (B&N) will not accept my ePub file because it doesn't want the file encryption.xml included. How can I generate an InDesign ePub file, for my own books, without it? Is there a check box somewhere? I've searched through the ePub export box and the file info boxes—no luck.
Error message from B&N's PubIt.com:
We have found a file name called encryption.xml within your ePub file container, which means that part of, or all of, your file is encrypted. We do not accept any encryptions within ePub source files. Upon closing this message, please remove the encryption.xml file from your ePub, and you may attempt to upload your ePub file again.
If you wish to apply DRM to your title, go to Section 4, question H and select Yes. PubIt! will apply DRM to your title after you have uploaded your ePub file without encryption.
Thanks for your help…Unfortunately you will find the option to uncheck "Embeddable Fonts" within ID CC 2014 only if you are creating an ePub with reflowable layout, but not if you are creating a "fixed layout" ePub.
I went with the suggestion of the eCanCrusher and was pleasantly surprised how easy to use this free tool is. You basically just drag your ePub over the icon of the App and it creates a folder in which you find the encryption.xml within the META-INF folder. Once you erased it you drag the folder over the icon of the App and through this you will get a new encryption-free ePub which now passes iTunes Connect Book Proofer test.
But then - opening the ePub without it's encryption within iBooks (on ipad) the text has moved, spaces between words are gone for no reason, words are even sticking into each other - it looks unacceptable! It does look OK on the iBook desktop app, however.
My solution was to change the font from Myriad to Verdana. I had changed the fonts before, because - whatever font I had used - it's reproduction on the ipad was messed up, and Myriad was the first one that I tried that looked alright, though, not so much after removing the encryption.xml. Unfortunately everything changes when you change fonts within a fixed layout ePub and all line breaks have to be revised now...
I also tried to remove the embedded fonts from inside the ePub, like someone else suggested, but that didn't help with the Book Proofer. It's really the encryption.xml that needs to be removed.
I wish that I now finally can submit successfully to Apple and wish that Adobe would have a better relationship with Apple to solve issues like that. -
I lost rather a lot of photos on a corrupted external storage device. I have many of those photos on my iPod. How can I import those
photos into my MacBook Pro without the iTunes synchronization function kicking in and effectively deleting those photos I want to
import from that iPod? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as those photos now only reside on that iPod...The photos you synced to your iPod through iTunes are no longer in their full resolution, but instead are scaled down thumbnails of those photos. So if you do manage to get them off your iPod, they will be quite small in size compared to the original ones you lost.
In order to get them off of your iPod, you'll need the help of some sort of 3rd party software. Here is one option.

This may seem like a stupid question, but when I cut-out an image (jpg), and then go to save it, it saves with the background of the pic in white. How can I save it without a background at all so that I can use it in another program like Power Point???
