How can I bind 64-bits interger variable to a number column

The compiler support native 64 bits integer. Can I use this feature simply bind a number column to this type variable.

If this isn't the default compiler option, you won't be able to bind using SQLT_INT. The theory is that the compiler option (w.r.t to int )of your application and the compiler option of the OCI client library needs to be the same.
Please refer to the platform specific release notes on how the OCI library is compiled.
I assume that you are not compiling your app in 64-bit OS mode. In this case you can get a 64-bit OCI library if it is available for your platform.

    You should be able to findout NULL using isnull([object]) function.. at report layer..
    Try with the below formula which should work for you
    =If Isnull(trim([object])) then "Inpatient Stays" else [Object]

  • How can I reduce the bit rate of songs in my Music Library to enable me to

    At the moment i can only fit about 1300 songs on my iphone and also have used up half the space on my 120gb Classic with 7000 songs which is a lot less than what i was told would fit on. so............
    How can I reduce the bit rate of songs in my Music Library to enable me to fit more songs onto my iPhone or iPod Classic.. and what is the minimum rate that i should stick to in order to retain good sound quality.

    For existing tracks, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
    For CDs you import in the future, change the Import settings in the iTunes -> General preferences.
    As to what will be a good bit rate, that's going to be up to you and what quality you find acceptable, but many people find that 128 kbps AAC is the optimum balance between small file size and quality.

  • How does DIADEM import TDMS files? How gets every channel his number and groupindex? How can I determine which channel has which groupindex and number?

    I store different channels in a TDMS file.
    I like to have a time channel at the first position with group index 1 and number 1.
    When I read the TDMS file with DIADEM the time channel (Float64) is on a differernt position, and the channels are not sorted alphabetically.
    Here are my questions:
    How does DIADEM import TDMS files?
    How gets every channel his number and groupindex?
    How can I determine which channel has which groupindex and number?
    Best regards
    Joerg

    Hi Jörg,
    i suppose that you´re programme whose create the *.tdms file is writing on false position. Try to create datas with timechannel on first indes in diadem, then save it and then open it again. you see that all is correct. So please tell me what programm in what version do you use and please attache it here.
    Did you use the library for creating *.tdms files like in the link ?
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/6471
    Here you find the gtdms_8.x.zip - when you extract it and opened the *.llb you find vi´s for all functions e.g. writing 2d array of strings to *.tdms file
    when you open the subvi´s then you see how created and writing datas/structure to *.tdms files. Because *.tdms is binary you can´t see structure with open it in editor.
    When you don´t have Labview you can use the 30 days test of current version 8.5 under following link

    Hello Khayalh,
    You should be able to link your phone number by following the steps in the article below. From your iPhone, sign out of FaceTime and iMessage and then sign back in and it should link. Check in the Start Conversation With and I Can Be Reached at section in iMessage and FaceTime respectively.

    i lost my Pad Please how can i track it ,I cannot remmeber the serial number. Please help me find it

    Unless you enabled Find My iPad on it before it was lost then there isn't any way to locate it. If you did enable it then you could try locating it either via http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone / Find My iPad on another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPad disabled on it.
    If you think that it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.
    There are some methods described on this page for how you might be able to find the serial number :

    Or you could try your support profile : https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do

  • How can i bind something to caps lock in AwesomeWM?

    Recently i've aquired new notebook which doesn't have caps_lock, num_lock and scroll_lock LEDs, so i decided to put keyboard layout indicator to system tray.
    Currently i am using Xorg config to set XkbLayout and XkbOptions (like so http://paste.pocoo.org/show/478789/ ).
    I tried first widget from http://awesome.naquadah.org/wiki/Change_keyboard_maps but soon realized that it does not detect layout change in any way, so i would like to bind kbdcfg.switch function to caps_lock, but i can't find any documentation on binding something to caps_lock.
    Also i've noticed a strange thing, when i change my layout with this function i am unable to use shortcuts that use latin letters. They are obviously remapped to by сyrillic, but they do work if i change my layout with caps_toggle. Why do the work with caps_toggle, and how can i make them work with kbdcfg.switch?

    The only reason i have for not using xmodmap is, i don't understand how it can help me, with the task i have. The other article didn't help me either.
    Did you read the "How to find capslock status?" thread?
    blin wrote:Is suspect the answer is not what you want because your question is not very clear. I understand that you have a keyboard that is lacking certain keys. What is it that you want to achieve? Let some key act as capslock?
    I had to read the OP twice to understand it. I didn't notice that he wrote "LED" in the first sentence. What he wants is for his Awesome status bar to display the current activity (i.e. on/off) of the Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock keys. He does not need to remap any keys.
    Edit: Check Retrieving CAPS LOCK info using Xlib or just do a Google search for "linux caps lock status -map -disable".

    Thank a lot for your help

    Hi,
    it depends on the release you are asking this question for. In JDeveloper 10.1.3 you can expose a method (e.g. on a session facade) that returns a Collection. The input parameters can be dragged and dropped as input fields to the page.
    The same can be done in JDeveloper 10.1.2, but here you have to prgrammatically apply the input arguments.

  • How can I set specific bits in a 16-bit integer?

    Hello everyone,
    as the title says I need to modify or rather to set a specific bit in a string which then is sent to a motor. I need to be sure that my command is correct as I am experiencing troubles with that motor and need to identify if its source.
    First of all my strings have to be in the Little Endian order. Then the structure of the string should be the following:
    Change Velocity command ‘V’xxCR 056h + one unsigned short (16-bit) integer + 0Dh (Note: Uppercase ‘V’)
    Note: The lower 15 bits (Bit 14 through 0) contain the velocity value. The high-order bit (Bit 15) is used to indicate the microstep-to-step resolution: 0 = 10, 1 = 50 uSteps/step.
    Until now, I used Flatten To String to convert 32 bit integers into bytes of the correct order. I thought I could use the Join Numbers function, but that only works for at least 8 bit numbers and there is no "1 bit number". I searched for an option to build a a string and set the bits via a Boolean Cluster, but I did not really understand how to transfer this to my problem.
    How can I build up the correct 16-bit integer (e.g. set the velocity to "10000" with a resolution of 50 µSteps/step)
    I would like to add the "V" and the CR via Concatenate Strings to the 16-bit integer, but other possibilites are also welcome.
    I have seens the examples for bit manipulation in C-code, but I wish to do this with LabView as I am not familiar with C,matlab and so on.
    Thank you very much for your help!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    You really need to learn Boolean logic and how to shift bits around.
    AND is really good for masking out bits (forcing them to 0) and OR is really good for adding bit values.  Then Logical Shift is used to get the bits in the right places before doing the AND and OR.
    NOTE: Rate is an enum with 10 being a value of 0 and 50 being 1.

  • How can I hold values in a variable

    I am looking for someone to point me in the right direction - I'm somewhat new to Java, but am a dinosaur from the mainframe, and sometimes get frustrated at the amount of effort I need to go through to do something that would have been simple on the mainframe...
    I have a Swing based GUI application that I am trying to write - it uses Swing components to build a GUI interface and present data to the user. This data comes from a flat file that is XML based. The structure is as follows:
    "Main" class (establishes the GUI, etc.)
    |
    Specific class (establishes a specific page in the GUI; there are many of these)
    |
    XML Reader class - uses parsing functions to read the file; stores data into an array
    The problem is that I make an initial call to the method that parses the XML file and builds the data in the array. I can see this through my debugging tool; it is confirmed in tracing messages I have built into the program.
    I then return to the specific class, and it wants to do specific things to build the GUI pages, based on customer input. So for example, I may want to go and get information on the third record in the XML file - I pass back an index value, and it should return information. Unfortunately, the array is now empty when I return to extract the values.
    How can I hold the values in the array so that I can return and extract (and ultimately update) the values when I need them. There are initially about 25 different arrays - some Integer, Some Strings, and some String buffers. I have seen an indication that I could implmenet Serializable to do this, but it seems that this is a lot of I/O - parsing the data, then serializing it back to disk, and then reading it back every time I want to access it. I have thought about doing it through a data base, but I don't have a DBMS available currently, and this is possibly beyond my level at the moment.
    I appreciate any suggestions that you might have.
    Jerry

    The xml file that I have is something that I
    established my self. It follows the standard xml
    conventions, just straight <tag field="xyz" /> stuff.
    About as fancy as it gets is to have free form text
    t lines where I need to capture the information in a
    String buffer out of the parser. The format of the
    tag is like this:
    <comments>
    multiple lines of text
    follow...
    </comments>In that case, depending on your utilization of the data(if this is not intended to carry data around different systems) you can just serialize it to the file and after retrieve it using XMLEncoder and XMLDecoder from java.bean package.(Have a look on the javadocs for J2SE)
    If your XML is intended to be passed around different systems, you can use JAXB to bind the document to a object model, instead of parsing it yourself.
    I sem to be having issues with passing control
    between classes - As I understand it, values that you
    establish in one class must be passed along to the
    caller - there doesn't seem to be a conceopt like a
    "data section" where data can be stored for access by
    all classes that need access to it. Gosling fobid it!!!!!
    Or is there, and
    I just haven't discovered it yet.No you won't, happily there is no such a thing, once you got the hang of OO principles and design, you will see that this is not only dangerous as it adds too much complexity to the system for those mantainig the code.
    If you want data to be acessed througout the system, uniquely, there are means to do that, like Singleton pattern(GoF, 127) and Common Object Registry pattern(Software Architeture Design Patterns in Java, 423)
    But I think this is not the solution to tyour problem, as far as I understand, you get data from your XML file, that seems to have a structure repeating over the file, and you want to display it to your user.
    The firsting I would advise is to not use arrays as carriers for your data. Instead use objects that represent your data stored in collections, for example, if you have a xml file like this:
    <people>
       <person>
             <name>Jeff</name>
             <age>6</age>
       </person>
       <person>
             <name>Rage</name>
             <age>36</age>
       </person>
       <person>
             <name>Rene</name>
             <age>666</age>
       </person>
    </people>Then, have a class that hold the data for person:
    * @(#)Person.java     v1.0     02/03/2005
    import java.io.Serializable;
    * Class that stands for a person data.

    }Get the data from the XML document, with JAXB for example, and for each person found, create and populate a bean with the data, store the bean in the colection and pass it to the user interface to be displayed. (Look at the java.util documentation)
    If you are into doing GUI, you will want to have a look in the MVC pattern, Model 2 pattern and the Swing "Separable Model" Architeture, so you learn how to make reusable decoupled GUIs. (search for MVC and Model 2 and look at the "How to use Swing Components" Documentation)
    On using swing, you can get the collection of beans and bind it to lists, tables or any other presentation form you would want. Look at the swing tutorial on how to use data model to boost your GUI.(Look at "how to use swing documentation")
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/index.html
    But here goes 2 cents of opinion, start by the basic tutorials:
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/
    especially the ones on Object Orientation:
    the way things are done in Mainframe if very different as they are done on a OO language, before learning the language, you will have to learn a new mindset, so after reading the basic tutorials, it would be good you search for some good books that focus on OO thinking, a good one that does that and teaches java at the same time is:
    Head First Java
    It is a good and funny reading.
    Head First Design Patterns
    Also have a lot of good insights on OO and it comes with some patterns as a bonus.
    I understand you see this all as overcomplicated, bu once you get the hang of it, you will see that there this only another way to see things and the stability and reusability attained is worth of the effort.
    May the code be with you.
