In the JHeadstart Developer's Guide, chapter 5, there is a section about the ADF Lifecycle phase "Report Errors". This section explains how errors are trapped and shown in the model{data} of a UIX page.
So your own errors can be caught and transformed in the same way, if you either create a Struts ActionError or ActionMessage, or throw a JboException.

How can we trigger error message in BADI PARTNER_UPDATE

Hi All,
I have implemented a BADI PARTNER_UPDATE. In this I have validation ( Error Message ) on saving buisness partner.
It is giving the error message but it freeze all the fields. On pressing enter it goes for short dump.
In short dump it gives error The COMMIT WORK processing must not be interrupted.
Kindly suggest me that how can we pass error message and it also does not freeze the fields.

Hi Narendra,
How are you trying to display message.
Is it using message service class instance of message statement (which should not be used, as that is for GUI messages) or using collect FM or by adding to genil message class container.
Please try different approaches and see what works for you.

From an OS9 reference, error -54 is a software lock on a file or a permissions error. (Although there is no formal list of OSX error code some of the old codes still apply to OSX .)
First, try simply restarting your computer.
Try quitting iTunes, then deleting the .xml (not .itl !) version of the library file in the iTunes folder (iTunes will generate a new one).

How can i catch the jsp checking event ?

As we know, there are three parameters which is about checking in the weblogic.xml, pageCheckSeconds,*servlet-reload-check-secs*,*resource-reload-check-secs*, but how can i catch the checking event when the webapp is active.
The fellowing is my simple test, i deployed a webapp on a weblogic server instance, and it was actived. I wrote a simple bash shell to try to catch the event, but fail. i througnt it may be dependent on the webapp's stage mode. but i change the mode, and try again, it was fail too.

I tested on WLS 11g ps2(10.3.3) which is running in Development Mode also, but it was the same as WLS 9.2 MP4.
During the weblogic server running, it don't check the application resources , but it will check the $Domain_Home/autodeploy directory every three seconds in Development Mode , the following is the result.

I have a jTextArea field in which it supposes to be able to catch a special
character, money cent symbol by Alt+0162 from the keyboard. Does anyone know
how I can catch it and display it in money cent symbol in the jTextArea field?

How can I handel errors in .ksh file

I am writing a .ksh file which will create FTP a file to the ftp location ..
My file looks like this :-

My question is how can I handel errors here in this file . If something happens after cd ${RUNTIME} line then I can write like this :

But after ftp -i -n -v ${TEST_TP_SERVER} <<END line I cant write the same . So can anyone please tell me how can I write error handling part after FTP command ?

Moreover, I need to send that page as a whole by email, so even if the white spaces between parts of picture
could be removed during printing, it wouldn't be a solution =(

How can I Catch the program to prevent exit all?

I am actually implementing a Ptolemy GUI for my subject. And I am now facing a very serious problem. I build an application to call the Ptolemy application to probe up a plotting graph program. Every time after I call the run Simulation() the program call the plotting from Ptolemy, but when I press close from the plotting, everything close including all applications that are not expected to close.
The problem I think is located here:
PtolemyApplication exec_model = new PtolemyApplication(argument);
So I would like to know how can I catch its exit to avoid closing everything.
Can anyone give me suggestion please?

Thread is an object that u create just like String /or whatever eg;-

once they're declared u can stop, start + run them individually with boolean values (true /false) and therefore control what u want to do when.

I appreciate your answer. While it might work, I'm a bit hesitant to remove the other programs as a possible solution since they are all currently working.
With Acrobat 9 Pro failing with the OS 10.7 upgrade, I'm hoping that there is a less severe solution.
Since the trigger appears to be 10.7 and may have something to do with the discontinued support of Rosetta, I could be spending a few hours working on a reinstall without a change. Yes, it might work. The "might" is the part that makes me hesitate.
Is anyone else out there on OS 10.7 and running Acrobat 9 Pro? Any issues with anyone else?

If you used iTunes on your computer to download the app, suggest you download the app using your iPad. Should then install correctly.

How can I catch Client Application crash?

Hi all.
I'm developing a client application, which makes several long-time operations on its server.
These server-operations are started, monitored and stopped by my cllient, during a "normal" lifecycle.
The problem is: if my client unexpectedly shut down (i.e. system crash or interruption by task manager), how can I catch this event, in order to send the "interrupt" to the server and stop the current thread?
I tried to add a WindowListener on the Main Window of my client app, but it doesn't work... any other idea?
