How can i clear a screen in java applet?

i'm searching a method to clear a applet completely before i repaint... i know that repaint normaly overwrite what was there before but bacause that was not allowed in my program i made de repaint just paint stuff...
but now i'm searching a way to clear the aplet before i repaint something like clear()? does it exist?

Do you override the update method? if so, don't. Update normally 1st clears, 2nd calls paint.
Or you can call a g.drawRect(0,0,width,height) with the color of your background at the top of your paint() method.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
After the device has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Hi Maya
First of all an Applet does not have to be "installed" as you would with a normal application. The browser handles the install and execution of the applet.

How do I clear all of the java applets that have been downloaded?

I migrated firefox and other applications to my new mac so that I would not to reenter all of my passwords saved by firefox. However, it appears that the java applets were also transfered and one of these applets does not work with the new intel mac. I was able to get the same applet to work in safari, and I was able to delete the applet from safari as well, but was unable to do so in firefox.
So, how do I clear all of the previously downloaded applets, or even better, just the one I want to? Clearing all of the recent history didn't work.

By coincidence, this happened to my son just last night. You do NOT have to restore it to a new phone, but you probably want a current backup.
Luckily, you can still sync and back it up even if it's locked, so connect it to the computer you usually sync it to. Go to the summary page. It's easiest and fastest to use a local backup, so if iCloud backup is on, turn it off and click "Backup now".
After it backs up, either click "Restore iPhone", or
- hold home and the top button until the screen goes black, release the top and continue to hold the home button until iTunes says "iPhone in recovery mode detected".
Follow instructions to restore from backup, and then sync to restore content. Your phone will come up in an unlocked state. If you have any stuff that was purchased directly to the iPhone (only), you'll have to re-download it.
Remember to turn iCloud backups back on if you use them.
If you don't sync you iPhone to a computer then I *think* those instructions with the buttons will put it into a mode where you can restore it from the cloud (make sure it is NOT connected to a computer while you do this). Otherwise, you will have to restore it as a new phone, then go to settings, reset, then restore it from the cloud.

I'd like all people running my application use java 5 and if someone using java 1.4 try to run the application get a nice screen telling him to download the latest version of Java Web Start.

i got the black screen on my i phone 5 took it back to store , its about 2 weeks past apples 1 yr warranty but service provider is going to warranty it because i have ins.but i have now backed up my phone to my mac but how can i clear phone to exchange it? i dont want all my info floating around even though you cant see it, i tried to restore via i tunes, but it says first i have to turn off find my phone , but i cant use screen to access , any help would be great
