The point is that, I want the user to fill the form inside the Test view and click submit, and when the submit is clicked, I want a new entry in the new table to be created. But first of course I need to create the table. Should I create it using SQL query
through MySQL workbench? If yes, then how can I connect the new table with my code? I guess I need some DB context but don't know how to do it. If someone can post some code example, I would be glad.

I created a new class inside the Models folder and named it RequestContext.cs, and its contents can be found below:

Every time that I fill a row of cells I want to creat a new table with the content of that cells.
How can I do it?
Donw here it´s the example.
From the top table, I want to fill these rows, and everytime that it´s done, I want that a new table apears like the cells under.
There is any Way to do it?
In the Spanish version of Number I found in the references formulas, one formula called "DIRECTION" that describes to do this.
But I found no way to do it.
The above formula it´s this:
=DIRECCION(row; collumn; type of direction; stile of direction; table name)
Anyone can help me?

Based on the syntax you quoted for that function, the english equivalent is "Address". It doesn't create a Table, but rather it creates an Address that references a Cell, in the form of a String. The common, and only, use that I am aware of for Address is to use it as the parameter for INDIRECT. For example: INDIRECT(ADDRESS)) will produce a reference to a table cell, but it will not produce a table.

Use the Forms 6i Help to check out the TEXT_IO package. There are examples that will easily guide you to what you need.
I've used this package extensively and it works as advertised.

How can I create a temporary password for a user?

I often have to reset passwords for users who forget their passwords. Is there a way, in Mac OS X Server 10.6, to reset the password to a temporary password and then require the user to change passwords on login? (Not for a new user- I've found that option- but for a password reset). It seems like this should be easy to find, but I can't seem to find that option anywhere. (It is a rather easy thing to do on Windows Server or Linux, I just can't figure out how to do it on my Mac Server.

Yes, it's easy to do - the same place you'd do it for a new user - Workgroup Manager.
Select the user's account in the directory, then Advanced -> Options and you'll find the optons to set password limits including strength, expiration and forced changes.

Creating a temporary table to hold values waiting to be submitted

I have a problem. I am creating an application for the chair of a department at school. When the chair is creating a list of courses that will end up being the courses offered for the upcoming semester, he will need to be able to add/remove courses from a temporary table and then when he feels it the right course plan he can submit that temporary table and then it will go into the permanent table. How can I create a temporary table where the values will get removed once it is submitted or how do i go about doing this.

To create a global temporary table inside a stored procedure,
the minimal syntax would be:
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE procedure_name
AS
BEGIN

As Todd stated, it would probably be better to create the global
temporary table outside of the procedure:
SQL> CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE table_name
2 (column_name NUMBER);
Table created.
You can also specify things like ON COMMIT PRESERVE ROWS or ON
COMMIT DELETE ROWS.
It may be that there is something else, like a PL/SQL table of
records or a cursor, that would suit your needs better. It is
difficult to guess without knowing what you want to do with it.

How to Create a Temporary Table with SQL Server

I know you can create a temporary table in SQL Server 2000, but not quite sure how to do it in CFMX 7, i.e., does the SQL go inside a <CFQUERY dbtype="query"> tag?
I'm pulling the main set of records from an Oracle server (1st data source), but it does not contain employee names, only employee IDs. Since I need to show the employee name along with the Emp ID, I'm then pulling a list of "current" employee names from a SQL Server (2nd data source), which is the main database on our CF server.
I've got a QofQ that works fine, except it only matches EmpIDs that exist in both result sets. Employees who are no longer employed, don't match, and don't display. Since I can't do a LEFT OUTER JOIN with a QofQ, what I need to do is get the records from the Oracle server into the SQL Server. Preferably in a temporary table.
I was hoping if I could get those Oracle records written to a temp table on the main SQL Server, in same database as the Employee Name table, I could then write a normal <CFQUERY> that uses a LEFT OUTER JOIN.
I think I could probably write a Stored Procedure that would execute the SQL to create the temporary table, but am trying to avoid having to write the SP, and do it the simplest way.
This query will be a program that can be run hundreds of times per day, with a form that allows users to select date ranges, locations, and other options. That starts the queries, which creates the report. So I just need the temp table to exist only until all the SQL has run, and the <CFOUTPUT> has generated a report.
If the premise is right, I just need some help with the syntax for creating a SQL Server temp table, when you want to write records to it from an external data source. I'm trying the following, but getting an error:

But, I hate to have to create a table and physically write to it. For one, it seems slower, and doing it in temp would be in memory, and probably much faster, correct? Is there some way to code the above, so that it does something similar, but in a TEMPORARY TABLE?   If I can figure out how to do this, I can pull data from multiple data sources and servers, and using SQL Server temp tables, work with the data as if it was all on the same SQL Server, and do some cool reports.
Everything I've done for the past few years, has all been from data from a single source, whether SQL Server, or another server. Now I need to start writing reports where data can come from 3 or 4 different servers, and be able to do joins (inner and outer). Thanks for any advice/help. Much appreciated.

While waiting to hear back, I was able to write the query results from an outside Oracle server, to a table on the local SQL Server, and do the LEFT OUTER JOIN required for the final query and report to work. That was with this syntax:

Note that if I didn't have the DROP TABLE in the beginning, the 2nd time you run this query, you get an error telling you the table already exists.

The CREATE ONLINE waits for existing transactions to commit before it can proceed. Once it starts, it uses a log table (MV Log) to track subsequent changes (i.e. it allows concurrent DML once it has started). At the end of the operation, it encounters another wait if there are existing transactions as it has to sync changes from the MV Log to the index.

There's an improvement in that only the transactions that were active at the instant when the CREATE .. ONLINE was issued are the ones it waits for. It does not have to wait on subsequent transactions.
