How can I eliminate duplicate Batch Numbers?

SBO allows serial numbers to be unique, but not batch numbers. The system allows the same batch number to be used for a different part. I have a medical company that requires unique Batch numbers accross the board, regardless of part number. Any suggestions? I tried to do this with a formatted search that would identify a duplicate Batch for me, but my search crashed and burned.
Here is the Formatted Search I tried to connect to the Batches Setup Form:
SELECT 'Batch allready used!' FROM IBT1 T0 WHERE T0.[BatchNum] = $[$3.3.0]
Anyone out there know how to force unique batch numbers?

What I am saying is, I never want a duplicate Batch number even if the parts are different. In your example, Item A could not have the same Batch number as Item B. Unfortinately, SBO allows duplicate batch numbers as long as the part numbers are different.
The reason for this is two fold. 1) This medical company cannot, never have the same batch number, and 2) reporting from the OIBT and IBT1 tables gets a bit complicated with duplicate batch numbers.
So my thought is to simply create a formatted search which runs from the Batches Setup Form, checking to see if this Batch Number has allready been used, then replacing the entry if TRUE with something like "Batch Allready Assinged".

Random smart playlist...how can I eliminate duplicates?

I'm trying to create a random 15 GB playlist to upload to my iphone, out of 100+ GB in my home digital library...but I want to have only unique selections in my list. My first attempt had a ridiculous number of repeats.
Any way to set that?
I can see exclusions based on any number of criteria, but no "no repeats" checkbox...
I'd really rather avoid having to go through and "uncheck" a few thousand songs by hand...

ITunes seems to create numerous duplicates bearing the original song name but including _1, _2 and so on. Then when I replay an album it repeats these duplicates of he original song. Seems impossible to get rid of.

You can do this from within iTunes if (a) you have your iTunes updated to the current version, and (b) your Touch is 2nd generation or later. If you have a 1st generation Touch, then 3.1.3 is as far as you can go.

How can I eliminate duplicate days?

I was triyng to sync ical with plaxo and my phone, the iCal closed unexpectedly. So I reopened it.
When it was open again I saw that there were two equal days, that is, saturday october the 13 and next o it, instead of sunday october the 14, there was SATURDAY OCTOBER THE 13!! Two equal days, reopening iCal doesn't solve it.
Is there a database I could fix or something?

I would like to post an image but I don't know how or if it's possible, this would help to explain my problem.
Anyway, I think I am dealing with a bug here and that it has to do with timezones. Time is about to change, tonight at midnight (1+hour) here (Santiago, Chile, Latin America). When I change my timezone to one where time doesn't change, the problem goes away, it's kind of weird.

You can style a table to remove grid lines and only show an "outline" around the table itself.

How can I eliminate delays in one NIC when there is traffic on second NIC

Using LabVIEW TCP/IP VIs, my LV application is accessing a database though a LAN, and through a second NIC, it is controlling an instrument. The instrument is connected directly to the computer NIC with a cross-over cable. I have made a permanent route for the IP address of the instrument in the IP route table. The LAN and the instrument have different subnet numbers. Using a packet sniffer, I don't see any traffic meant for the LAN going to the NIC connected to the instrument. The OS of the computer is Windows XP and the NICs are PCI cards.
The message traffic to the instrument suffers from intermittent delays when there is traffic going to the LAN.
How can I eliminate the delays? What could be the cause of the delays? Thanks in advance for your recommendations and suggestions.

Could you tell us a little more about the device that you are connected to? What you could try is to have a VI accessing the LAN, and a separate VI communicating with the instrument, and see how things play out.

How can I eliminate the pointless top bar, close up the spaces between bars that are wasting space and reduce the depth of the tabs so that I have the space I had before for the websites I am looking at?

I have updated to the latest form of Mozilla Firefox, and the top of the screen is altered so that it occupies far more space than it used to do, leaving far less space for what I want to look at. Why are there spaces between bars? Why are the tabs deeper than they used to be or need to be? How can I eliminate the pointless top bar which merely duplicates the information in the tab bar? Is there any way of simply restoring the previous arrangement?

Okay, I accept that this is just how it is, and there is nothing to be done about it, because no-one except me thinks that the icons and toolbars should be organised to take up minimum space in order to allocate maximum space to the page.
The crowning irony of all this is that, having updated to the latest Mozilla Firefox and consequently having this arrangement at the top of the page which I don't like, the middle of the page now comes up with its old message, 'You are not on the latest version of Firefox. Upgrade now.'

How can I find duplicate photos withough going through all 5000 one by one? I have numerous duplications and used to be able to click on Edit and Find Duplicates and could clean up all the duplicates easily. Now that option is gone. I still have lots to delete.

I do backup everything using Carbonite.Please don't tell me it is bad, too :-) Also, especially with photo files, I do have other backups of those I am concerned about. Probably not the best in the world, but a log better than many people who I know about.
Again, I really have not seen any problems with MacKeeper. I imagine that if people do not read and follow instructions, they could have problems. For example, it is possible to scan all your files and see them in order of size. If you start deleting things, without knowing what you're deleting, you could cause trouble. Even when the computer scans for so-called junk files, you can look at them and decide for yourself if they are truly junk. I've never seen any that were not.
So, I will look at the complaints anyway to see them. I am open to change, although I hope I do not need to drop Mackeeper as it does things like keeping tracking of applications updates that I need. Please note that I definitely am not a MacKeeper employee or anything close. Just using it and happy with the the results.
I did download the recommend file for finding photo dupes and ran it. There were very few duplicates, in any case, As I said before, the MacKeeper dupe finder was very slow when I ran it over ALL my files. That was a year ago and it did find many non-text dupes.

The phone number format as well as the date language and format and the time format are controlled by the Region Format setting. Go to Settings > General >International > Region Format. When you change a region format, you can go back one page (to International) and see an example of the date/time/phone number format that your selected region format will produce.

If you try to invent your own syntax, you are starting on very wrong basis.
The required syntax is defined by the Numbers AppleScript's dictionary.
This one doesn't know what is a template.
This is why, in the link posted by badunit, I use an other scheme to create a new document.
I know that it's awful but it's the only one available at this time.
