How can I export ALL photos to a new external HD if I have Aperture "Managing" my library (hundreds of projects,1.6TB of photos)?

I Originally setup Aperture years ago to "Manage" my huge amount of photos to save space and be more convenient. I have bought a new external HD and want to export my entire original files from all the different projects and sub projects from the one "Organized Managed" file to individual original photo files on the new HD. I know how to export a project or even a few at a time but what about 1.5TB of photos in RAW/NEF format? Thanks for the help my fellow Apple lovers.

Aperture makes it easy to move any Image's Originals from inside the Library to outside the Library, and from any directly-connected location outside the Library to another directly-connected location, and to move any Image's Original from outside the Library to inside the Library, at any time, singly or in batch.
Select the Photos container near the top of the Library Inspector. In the Browser, select all Images. Use "File ▹ Relocate Original", and select a destination and a Finder folder scheme. Moving 1.5 TB of files will take some time. Let it run.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand your question. All images are in your Library and only those you specifically select from that Library would be in an Album. What platform are you using? Revel Mac, Elements, web browser, etc?

There is a checkbox on the 'info' tab in iTunes that will allow you to overwrite the address book on the phone with the one from the computer on the next sync.

Locate your iTunes files

Find out where a file is stored: Select the item in iTunes, and choose File > Get Info. The path to the file is shown at the bottom of the Summary pane (next to Where).

There may be other ways but I think the easiest is to just reinstall iTunes. when you reinstall it gives you the option to search for all music, just make sure the external is pluged to the PC and on when u do it. An other thing is with your music on a external, anytime u turn it off or unplug it you will get abunch of ! beside all the songs in iTunes until u turn it on and plug it back in

Two-fold question, can I export pictures from iphoto to an external drive? I have not been able to create volumes on My Passport for Mac when exporting photos, why is that?

I have a Mac Book Pro that I use iphoto 6 for my pictures. However, I noticed my hard drive was filling up too rapidly so I purchased a WD My Passport for Mac 500GB. I select photos(the number does not matter), click File>export, and select the location(and yes, I specify the size of picture's maximum, and the file extension, and I click Export and the export initializes and then stops. Telling me that it is unable to create the volumes ont the My Passport. There is plenty of space on the hard drive. I don't know what I am doing wrong. It seems like the process should be very simple to MOVE, COPY, EXPORT photos. Why is this so difficult? What am I doing wrong?

My photo library cumulative is maybe 1.3 GB tops, however I back it up to the external drive every upload. I don't think the issue is converting calculations because as I said in my previous post, sometimes when I stop transfer to the SD flash drive and restart the copying process it will complete the library of 60-80 photos in about 2 minutes like it should. The issue is that it will not proceed to copy most of the time, and the copying status bar says preparing for a long time

How can I check all the files on an external volume?

I recently had a problem with my external where the directory got messed up. Disk Warrior seems to have fixed it, and I've run both that and TechTool Pro on it to check the files and so far both have said they're fine, but I'm still worried. I have quite a few files on there and each time they test it takes only a few minutes where if you verify say, a DVD of files it takes 5-10 minutes just for that, and that's 4GB to 1TB.
Is there any way I can test all the files on the volume, much like verifying them, to see if there has been any corruption or data lost?

I have checked a bunch of video files that were on my external pre-trouble that I was able to transfer to my internal drive and run perfectly. Unfortunately there are far too many other files to check them all, all of my music on there as well as all my font, work and resource files so there's tens of thousands of files on there. Checking them all manually is not an option.
Thanks for the reassurance though. Hopefully at some time in the near future Blu Ray will be cheap enough that I'll be able to back up all my data to disc regularly, until then I'll just have to rely on my external.

I have several groups with channels of different lengths (time t). I want to make a new group containing the required channels. I did this in Diadem 2012 test version with Call Data.Root and it works. Now I am trying to do this in Diadem 10, but I've read that I need Data API which is not available for Diadem 10. So, could someone just give a sample code? If it's necessary I can post my sample code written in Diadem 2012.

I have had some luck doing the following: Export each clip from imovie as a quicktime clip. Open iDVD and create a new project. Import a few stills into iDVD and then click on the button that gets created to get into the screen where the individual slides appear. Drag each quicktime into that screen and arrange in the order you want. You can then delete the stills. The button that appeared when you dropped in the stills will launch a complete show.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
