How can i find numberedList in a text frame?
Hi,
I need to find the numberedList in a text frame. so that i have written a script. Syntax is given below.
app.findTextPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing
app.findTextPreferences.bulletsAndNumberingListType = app.findTextPreferences.bulletsAndNumberingListType.ListType.numberedList;
var res = app.activeDocument.textFrames[0].parentStory.find();
alert(res.length)
But it is not working. How can i write it?

in the variable "position" I get global(not depending in which frame the text is) position(number of chars) of the found text, but I want to get the number of the frame where is text was found! Or how can I find only in the custome frame?

myFrame = app.documents[0].pages[3].textFrames[5];
app.findTextPreferences.findWhat = "text";
text = myFrame.findText();
position = text[0].insertionPoints[0].index
However, unless myFrame is the first in a story, the index will not be relative to the start of myFrame. To get that, you need:
framePos=myFrame.characters[0].index;
textOffsetInFrame =position - framePos;

A wet phone is out of warranty. This is considered user damage. Even if you were able to get it to start now, the chances of it working for long are slim. Does you carrier offer any kind of web access to your billing account? If so, when your bill generates, you may be able to see a list of your texts, who you texted. If you know the approximate time and date of the conversation, you might be able to find the number.

How can I find duplicate photos withough going through all 5000 one by one? I have numerous duplications and used to be able to click on Edit and Find Duplicates and could clean up all the duplicates easily. Now that option is gone. I still have lots to delete.
I do backup everything using Carbonite.Please don't tell me it is bad, too :-) Also, especially with photo files, I do have other backups of those I am concerned about. Probably not the best in the world, but a log better than many people who I know about.
Again, I really have not seen any problems with MacKeeper. I imagine that if people do not read and follow instructions, they could have problems. For example, it is possible to scan all your files and see them in order of size. If you start deleting things, without knowing what you're deleting, you could cause trouble. Even when the computer scans for so-called junk files, you can look at them and decide for yourself if they are truly junk. I've never seen any that were not.
So, I will look at the complaints anyway to see them. I am open to change, although I hope I do not need to drop Mackeeper as it does things like keeping tracking of applications updates that I need. Please note that I definitely am not a MacKeeper employee or anything close. Just using it and happy with the the results.
I did download the recommend file for finding photo dupes and ran it. There were very few duplicates, in any case, As I said before, the MacKeeper dupe finder was very slow when I ran it over ALL my files. That was a year ago and it did find many non-text dupes. -

Open System Preferences - Sharing - File Sharing and look under Users. I you see it's open to him or everyone then highlight that and click the - symbol to remove them.
If you are using Norton then remove it following Norton's instructions. Their software tends to create more issues than it solves. OS X has a firewall built into it (System Preferences - Security - Firewall tab) so having a redundant firewall is unnecessary and a waste of system resources and a waste of money. -
